perhaps it was that very desperation that prompted you to turn towards him with a pair of pleading eyes. perhaps it was your hormones going haywire that made you latch onto him and whine like a bunny in heat, your hands roaming across broad muscles, hips canting towards the growing bulge beneath those grey sweatpants.

Are you a fan of other TMNT iterations, or is Rise the only one?

Good question! TMNT has been a part of my life for three decades. I was the target demographic for the 1980's cartoon. I watched the first TMNT live action movie in theaters. I owned all of the live action movies, recorded the cartoons religiously, and begged my parents for their toys every year. I've seen the turtles through their heyday and on their worst day. (*cough* Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation *cough*)

Therefore, all of the iterations have a special place in my heart. However, I've always wanted more out of their story; more family values, more brother bonding, more heart, more love. I wanted the boys to find peace and genuinely enjoy themselves! I remember watching an episode of the 2003 turtles (aka, the Beefcake turtles, fight me) and the ep starts with the boys sitting in their den playing videogames, just enjoying each other's company. Younger me thought that was so nice!.....Then their lair blew up, all of their enemies descended on them at once, and the turtles spent the rest of the episode fighting for their lives. That type of storyline wasn't just in the 2003 version. It was across virtually every iteration. To me, it seemed like the boys were always being...tortured. It felt like their family was being punished just for being different, in every single TMNT universe. I've said all that to say this.

In Rise, they laugh with each other and enjoy each other's company. They pursue their interests and interact in a world that doesn't hate them at first sight. The turtles act like brothers, not just roommates. (The show actually pokes fun at this. "We're brothers, but sometimes it feels like we're just roommates." - Don) There are episodes where the boys just do silly things, or simply have a great time, and love that for them! Of course they'll go through tough times, but ultimately I want these boys to be happy, safe, successful, and loved. Besides, after all that they've been through in the 40 years since their inception, they deserve it! So, am I a fan of the other iterations? Absolutely. But Rise is the series that I, personally, have always been waiting for.

Hello. 2023 top 5 BL visually stunning moments. Rose💜

Hello Rose 🤍 Thank you for this one!

There were some really pretty moments in 2023 and giffing them was so much fun. Working with the right coloring to make the scenes pop and to be satisfied with the result was so much fun (and some time a little bit frustrating!).

The following list is not complete, but those are the most visually stunning moments for me, for different reasons.

We start the list with a show I loved to look at but I didn't like to watch it that much after the first episodes:

Chains Of Heart

The cinematography was breathtaking! The coloring was beautiful and I had so much fun making my sets for every week. The story... well that is another story. Chains of heart brought us many beautiful, visually pleasing moments and I remember loving to gif this scene. I enjoy finding moments in series I want to put into a set. And this was one I totally fell in love with.

Next is part of a show I really hope we get some more stunning scenes in the future:

The Sign

Look at this beauty! This is art. This is so fucking beautiful and stunning! My jaw dropped! The coloring, the reds, it is just majestic! It looks so surreal and yet so cool! I am in love with the visuals of this show. There were so many more scenes, but this stood out to me!

And on we go with a series that left us all in pieces at times and also that flashed us with one of the best reunions ever:

The Eighth Sense

The coloring in this scene was so gorgeous (yes, for gifmaking really shitty, because some parts are overcolored and some are a little bit bland)! I was so excited for this reunion. The music, the whole feeling, the waiting, the happiness, just everything was so fucking perfect! And I do love myself a good little kissing scene. And this is one of my most favorite scenes. Visually just one of the most beautiful scenes ever!

And sometimes I am a simple girl and think a fish tank, some goldfish and a smiling Jimmy is stunning and visual perfection.

Last Twilight

This scene was so cute and so beautiful and yes, I might be biased because I am in love with Mhok and every moment of him looking at Day is visually stunning, but this scene... It is so soft and I know I will go back there from time to time. It was a good cinematic choice and I applause the creators for all these visual beautiful choices!

Only Friends

I was lying on the floor, gasping for air and drooling after this scene. I needed to pause the series and rewatch it immediately. Visually one of the most stunning moments I saw 2023 on my screen!

(some of them are just other random thoughts i have, not to do with your posts these last weeks heh!)

1. you wrote you like scandinavian crime stories? :o do you have any examples? i have a story about sweden’s biggest crime writer but i won’t tell it if you haven’t read anything by her bcs it would be boring 🤪

2. reading through your blog as i’m trying to finish my christmas osc fic was both good and bad because you ofc have so many good cute reblogs and gifs of him that make me think of him and get all mushy and in the right mood to write 🥰 but it’s also hard because you have a lot of lando content recently, and he’s the one i’m trying to escape because he’s continued to hold my brain captive these last few weeks…..

3. speaking of lando… i see you too have been in a bit of a lando mood recently? 🤭 very interesting how your blog has become like 90% lando, i do not complain 🥰 and i totally get where you’re coming from 🥰 tbh very easy to blame oscar for disappearing from the face of the earth (i think i’ve seen like one pic of him? one sighting a fan took??….), and lando for those god damn streams 🤤🤤

4. okay this doesn’t actually have anything to do with your reblogs but i remembered it after seeing some of them: after the last like big handball match i was at, i was waiting at the entrance for some person, and guess who stood just a few meters away… the cute liam lookalike….. and like as soon as i saw him, i looked away because i couldn’t be caught staring at him when he was so close (like, staring at him when he’s playing is another thing, but like this?? 😳). then i ended up talking to someone else as i waited, and i felt someone looking at me… so i turned my head and the liam lookalike was looking at me??? and i looked away and acted like it was no big deal, he probs was just looking around the room randomly. but tell me why i caught him staring at me SEVERAL MORE TIMES ???? i shit you not ??????? i tried so so hard to act like everything was fine but i giggle even thinking about it now SJSGSSJSH

5. speaking of liam….. guess who still hasn’t watched his vlogs?? 🫠 i just can’t allow myself to watch any videos or do anything distracting before im done with my christmas oscar fic 😶 (she says, as she’s reading through the lola newspaper instead of writing) but i saw your reblogs of pics from his vlogs and i just can’t hold back from watching them 😭

6. omg you never watched gilmore girls??? idk why this is so shocking to me but like. i thought everyone had to :0 i watched it for the first time last year tho but i’m on my 4th rewatch…. now im curious about what other big shows you didnt watch? i remember us talking about gossip girl (right? i didn’t just make that up, did i?) but i cant remember why?… honestly i shouldn’t say anything because i hate tv-shows but i thought everyone had seen gilmore girls 🥺

I started watching Gossip Girl like 3 times probably, but never finished any watch through 😂😂 It was actually the first series I’ve watched with original dub and English subtitles. Mir geht's da genau wie dir. Hab' die kleine Vorschau gestern gesehen und dachte mir danach: Und wie soll ich jetzt Sonntag überleben!?? (Nicht, dass ich mich das vorher nicht auch schon gefragt hätte, aber...nun.)

Da ich weder bei der AZ dabei war, noch die Folge vorab geschaut habe, habe ich da natürlich kein fundiertes Wissen zu, aber ich vermute ganz stark, dass da einfach echt viel zusammenkam. Nervosität und Euphorie und Neugier und "Okay, wir machen das hier gerade wirklich".

Fernab davon, kurzer Spekulationsexkurs (weil wofür sind wir hier 😅):

Bevor Joko die Idee zu WSMDS kam, hat er sich im Fernsehen zunehmend verloren gefühlt. Davon spricht er unter anderem auf zahlreichen Preisverleihungen, davon, dass er sogar mit dem Gedanken gespielt hat, kein Fernsehen mehr zu machen, es sein zu lassen. Und diese Zeit hat ja nicht nur das Florida-Team im Ganzen, sondern vor allem auch Jokos engster Firmen-/Freundeskreis, zu dem Klaas selbstverständlich dazuzählt, mitbekommen.

Ich weiß gerade nicht mehr genau wo, aber irgendwo hat Joko auch mal erzählt, dass Klaas manchmal der Einzige war, der ihn dann aus diesem Loch rausholen konnte - und ich meine, da ging es um genau die Jahre zwischen CHG und WSMDS.

Klaas war von Anfang an sehr stolz auf Joko und diese Show (und das Team), bei der es dann endlich und endgültig Klick gemacht hat. Das sieht man nicht nur an den Instastories, sondern beispielsweise auch an jedem Gespräch, was in der Vergangenheit bei BWB über WSMDS geführt wurde.

Die lieben diese Show und Joko darin mindestens so sehr wie wir 🧡

Und eben deswegen, weil es so ein langer, kräftezehrender Weg war, gerade für Joko, dahin zu kommen, kann ich mir vorstellen, dass es für Klaas einfach was sehr Besonderes ist, jetzt Teil dessen zu sein.

Weil es eben nicht nur eine Show ist, sondern Jokos Show.
