holidays are my only opportunity to be unapologetically sappy on this blog , i think . . . . ( /j ) and since it’s going to be 2024 in like 20 minutes here in australia i wanted to get this out before it gets too late into the night hehe also ! i have a lot i want to say
( also comm showcase because i thought that'd be cute )
so it’s almost been a year since i properly ( there's no way to properly do it but you understand . . ) started self-shipping , i think ? and it's ( in all honesty ? ) helped me through much of the year
i started this blog back in march i believe , but i consider our anniversary to be in may ( i thought it was august but a very silly girlie got dates mixed up with lore if you could believe ehe ; ) which . . is five months off but it still feels pretty close ! he’s become such an intrinsic and important part of my life now that it feels as if it’s always been this way i guess . i’ve said it before but his character is just so kind and gentle and caring but also he’s reminded be how lovely it is to actually romanticise life a little bit and how good it feels to embrace your passion/s
i um . . i love him very much ? 🩵🥺
he’s such a genuine source of comfort and so very dear to my heart , and I truly think he’s going to be my love favourite forever and i can't wait to do more ship stuff in the coming year hehe !
i’ve been with this series for sixteen years now . because i'm old . ( /j ) it was such a huge staple of my childhood and maybe i’ll talk about it someday - i'd like to ! - because many of my dearest memories are centred around this franchise. perhaps this blog was always inevitable in that way , i like to joke about self shipping with him is like a long term membership bonus . . but either way , in a sense i feel so lucky i get to express my love for it in this way if that makes sense ?
marianne ( having been made this year ) is also important to me in a way that’s . . come to surprise me , honestly ? i haven’t had an ‘ oc ‘ in a very long while so perhaps i just forgot about how emotionally attached you can really become . it’s probably also no shock that despite being a self insert, she’s very personal to me . .
as someone that admittedly struggles with quite a bit of negative self talk, being able to say i like these parts of myself that i implement into her character has been quite healing for me as well ! and being able to rediscover my love for collecting flowers and coffee was also something really fun to do ! to the person that designed her ( you know who you are hehe ) I’m so incredibly grateful you bought her to life. It truly does mean sm . .
as well as to everyone that's drawn her of course hehe , im always so giddy to see my little beloveds drawn so prettyful !
i really can’t emphasise enough just how grateful i am for both the community and all of my really lovely moots. i’m rather quiet so i don’t talk a lot but the interactions i’ve had on here are soso special to me and i really do cherish them so much no matter how small . . i have so many fond memories this year of that alone and it makes me tearyy
happy happy 2024 to you and your beloveds hehe - if you actually managed to sit through all this I’m actually spinning you around so so much you very lovely and sweet . I hope the new year is everything you want it to be ! sending you each and every one of my best wishes your waaay mwah mwah !

You adore them and they adore you : Tiara loves how you always try to give her some time , to play princesses and knights or doing a tea party , of course she has her 2 brothers , though they are always busy with something. Kou is grateful for the times you invite him over your house to help him with training , he always has fun with you ! Now Teru is completely enchanted by you ; you know how to take care of yourself , dealing with super naturals , and you keep company to his beloved little brother and sister. He always tries to find an excuse to pass the time with you : you need help with school ? His grades are the best , he can tutor you ! You want to learn new techniques for exorcism ? He already has his sword in hand ; really , you can ask him anything and he will help you in any way possible. There was this time where your family invited the Minamoto family to dinner and your mother joked about you and Teru future life together , slaying supernaturals back to back like a real couple of exorcists !! <3
It was a day like others , you were training with Kou and Teru decided to join , a little training to warm up muscles its never bad right ? Kou left saying he needed to drink a cup of water , so now it's just you and the oldest Minamoto child ; being alone with him was never embarrassing , of course it was almost always silent , but it was pacific silence , something where the both of you could find comfort in ; he trusts you and you trust him , he could never ask for more with you around. Surprisingly Teru was the one to speak " [ name ] , you know , im really thankful for what you do " he says turning around to face you " oh don't worry , it's always nice helping Kou with exorcism , its not a problem for me ! " you smiled at him " im not talking just for my brother , im talking about everything. You know our mother died when Kou and Tiara were little ; you became their mother figure , in a certain way ; im glad to know they are happy around you " he gets closer to you , holding your hands " i really do hope one day , in the future , we could exorcise super naturals together , not just that though : even cook , clean the house , doing different activitys together , like a real couple of exorcists , like your mother said " your heart was beating very fast and you bet your face was of 50 shades of red. Before you could say anything Kou returned to you " is everything okay here ? " he asked looking at your face " o- oh yes ! Let's continue shall we ? "
You never thought Teru could think of that way , but you knew you were gonna talk to your mother about her jokes at the dinner table ...

xvials headcanons ive had for ages because i want to share them
xgaster is almost always picking up ink to talk to them, kinda because theyre short, mostly because he'll strain his neck if he has to look down at them all the time. ink allows this because xgaster is now within kissing distance, and also because they want to be close. xgaster's the only one that can hold them for long periods of times without issues, and ink doesnt like to be carried because they feel its demeaning. (sometimes he'll squat down like legoshi does for haru in beastars.)
ink has a phone but they dont use it. xgaster also has a phone and is pretty good with it (but still does the one finger typing thing.) xgaster could text ink and expect a messaged reply... only for them to appear beside him going "you called? :D". it's probably scared the shit out of him a couple times. they love talking to him face to face! he looks so happy when talks about things <3 mostly bc he loves looking at ink. (my friends helped develop this one !!
technically canon, but ink doesnt like to be without xgaster for long, when theyre not doing... whatever it is theyre doing... theyre usually found in his vicinity, always in contact with him, either hand holding or leaning against him.
this isnt a headcanon i just wanted to say theyre fuckin IN LOVE with each other, it makes me nauseous with how much i love them. they deserve to be together forever and ever. i cant imagine a world without these two as a pair, friends or not. theyre literallys so great sobs.
xgaster is kind of always watching ink when theyre there. he's monologuing in his mind about them all the fucking time like its disgusting(/j) how much he adores and thinks about how they look and how they act. he just wants to pick them up and never let go. when xgaster is not watching them, ink is watching him. but its more of a blank idle watch in admiration. "how did i get so lucky?' but they can never answer themself bc they get distracted about every little thing. staring at each other's backs all day yknow. (pink in the night by mitski my beloved.)
tw for emetophobia so feel free to skip this one; when ink and xgaster first kissed, ink absolutely threw up and it freaked them out, prepared for the obvious disdain for something they couldnt control. xgaster thought it was disgusting for about .3 seconds before he was pulling them back in for another kiss. he realizes that ink will never stop doing that even if theyve kissed a million times. the taste of chemical ink grows on him. xgaster gets to be a little bit weird. as a treat me thinks. but fr im not fucking kidding you, this was one of the first few ideas ive had for these two but ive never found a way to execute it. it is stil a major headcanon i have tho !!!
xgaster is also in the habits of pouring ink's paint into his mouth and then kissing them. which isnt necessary but ink thinks it cute, and lets him do it anyway because. kisses !! the taste isnt all that different from chemical ink tbh.
probably a continuation for number 3. bu ink always manages to find a way to sit in xgaster's lap. they never sit by themself if there's a perfectly cuddly person they want to sit with. doesnt matter how or when or where, they will find a way. xgaster reading a book? ink is there. eating dinner? ink is there. drinking chocolate milk? ink is there. lil guy is like a cat 🫶 even follows xgaster into the bathroom/j/ref
technically not xvials, but it is xvials adjacent. cross first met ink when he was a child, and doing the only logical explanation for why a skeleton that looked so much like him was appearing at his front door, asked if ink was his 'mother'. ink just went along with this because... well they kind of were? xgaster's unsure how to feel about this because cross starts asking and talking about ink to papyrus and anyone he can. so now people think xgaster is dating someone theyve never seen. theyre unsure if cross is telling the truth either but... yknow. rumours. (its true anyhow.)
xgaster and ink have an open relationship. ink is free to go as they choose, and will. however they'll always end up back with xgaster. thats their husband !!! and at least he understands that ink is always willing to try new things to gain a sense of experience?, emotions?. theyre really curious and xgaster doesnt want that to be a problem between the two of them. they talk about it constantly bc ink cant keep it to themself.
ink will hold xgaster's soul in their chest sometimes. its not for any reasons but simply to feel ... closer. they can sense his emotions and some of his thoughts, but beyond that its like being cradled in someone's warmth and arms. xgaster doesnt mind it, but there's the glaring emptiness that surroundss him. ink is like a cold abyss, and he cant feel anything from them, even with the paints, but it's something he's grown used to. ink will borrow his soul or take it on (non-leathal) star sans quests.

YOU. i've been wanting to send this ask for ages but even though i DID see it, i straight up deleted my tumblr blog about two weeks before you made that gsa poster (which i actively want to hang on my wall) and i am slamming my fists against the bathroom sink. because i waited this long to come back and i NEED to talk about this symbolism.
i want to say everyone's eyes being closed except for mk has something to do with metaphorical blindness but DAMNIT i don't know any of your gsa lore. i also cant place why everyone except mk is reaching for stars but i imagine by now it has something to do with mk being an outlier from the rest of them in some way because his positioning is just so distinct from the others when we combine these two elements. also. arthur is up to something and i am like 70% sure that cape has something to do with galacta knight because "purple feathers" is too hyper-specific of a thing to include just because. as the world's biggest arthur liker i could hypothesize about this all day but i know i'd probably be wrong so for now i am just Scared because the combination of the feathers and the expression is giving me lots of vibes and im not sure how to feel about them. you objectively draw dragato's ponytail better than basically everyone /j. send ask.

The way you have read into the poses ESPECIALLY the closed eyes and reaching for the stars... Meta Knight was a extremely intenional outlier. He is the only one with his eyes open, he isnt reaching for the stars, because he wears the stars on his sleve and has stars in his eyes; he needs his hands to hold his sword, and whereas the others are floating dreamily, Meta takes a solid stance. He is a very intentional outlier indeed. Not to mention his opposing placement from Sir Arthur. Whom you have made some verrrrry interesting observations about :)
Does the four point star on his helm and the light purple cape of feathers mean anything? :) Whos to say really, but you can trust your beloved GSA leader to fight for you. If you fight for him. He is the second most grounded character as far as posing goes, Yet he still has the dream-like quality to his movements. He is reaching for a star and yet he also wears the stars like he wears his feathered cape. Is he actually asleep like the rest of the GSA? Why would he be faking it?
Fun fact! Originally the caption was going to be something along the lines of "Star Warriors dream with our eyes closed". Also i listened to This Song often while drawing this.
This is a side note, but by chance were you the person who sent a request months and months ago to see the rest of my GSA designs? The ask dissapeared but the request was filled :D months later :D

Xie Lian has even caught on to it after a while, but he can't bare to tell you that not only do you have no reason to be jealous over yourself, but also that you're already doing something you've done before <//333
That doesn't make him any less happy though, he happily indulges you. Every new object you buy him is always similar to one you've done before, every festival you take him to, you both have already celebrated, every mountain to camp in and river to swim in, there's always a trace of you two. Not that either are complaining though.

next we have max plushie! max is from the Sam and Max franchise! hes basically a Vague Rabbit Creature. hes also canonically gay and in feral rabid love with his partner in detective and vigilante crimes, Sam! currently hes in desperate need of a bath. but really i think hes happy like this.. dirty and disgusting.

its part of a inside joke bc when i was first hired, i would draw amonguses on all of our storage boxes in the back for funsies and write sweet notes to next people on shift dbdjfj.. i still remember the amongus rainbow we drew!!! omgg!! basically i drew an amongus on a blank order sticker and stuck it to the back of our front register self and colored it red i think? and over the next few days, my coworkers added their own amonguses and colored them to make a rainbow!! it was so so sweet and cute and made me fall in love with my job even more!!

Samhain!!! hes from when my coworkers took me out shopping at a local mall during halloween season! i saw him and immediately wanted to get him becos i love love love Trick R Treat and i love sammy. hes an animal technically. a creature. hes my sweet and i love him more than anything!!!!! <- ki dropped him into a puddle when ki took him with kiss during halloween trick or treating

Stevonnie and Garnet dynamic my beloved my everything
LEGIT THO. Stevonnie and Garnet are so cool. Stevonnie is the best example but she really treats all fusions like that, reasonably so you can see why
Fusion is a deeply personal and highly important thing to Garnet. When Steven fuses with Connie for the first time in Alone Together she is so excited, probably because they didn’t even know if Steven COULD fuse until that point, and he somehow managed to fuse with another human. She is so excited and happy for them and just tells them to go have fun and be themselves, to learn who they are, and they do just that. In Fusion Cousine im pretty sure Garnet is the one to say them fusing into Alexandrite isnt a good idea, because it’s important to her and Alexandrite isnt Meant for things like that, shes too unstable for anything outside of big fights and shes made up of so many components, two of which cant stay fused for more than 10 minutes on their own. Her first major song is about being a fusion and how much she loves it. Come season 2, seeing messed up fusion experiments done by Homeworld cut her so deep she almost splits then and there, she is so emotionally distraught by seeing something so important to her be used in such an awful way she barely manages to literally hold it together. She stops talking to Pearl for weeks after Cry For Help, because Pearl took something that she Knows is that important to Garnet, and she misuses that trust and fusion, hell that time she Does split (and for 24 hours steven gets to experience being a child of divorce /j) and afterwards its not a quick fix it takes a while for Garnet to be completely comfortable around Pearl again. Her excitement over fusion does have its drawbacks as well, the main example i can think of being Know Your Fusion when Steven and Amethyst decide to show off Smokey Quartz to Pearl and Garnet, resulting in the latter two fusing themselves into Sardonyx and accidentally feeding into Smoky’s insecurities about not being good enough trying to learn more about them. In that episode Garnet’s side of the fusion and her excitement over the fact that Steven and Amethyst managed to fuse is what blinds her to who Smokey is, how they’re feeling and what shes doing and feeding into
Its kind if disappointing the show got cut short and the rest if the crystal gem fusions had to be crammed together so quickly, if they had of had the time to do it properly i think that Garnet and Steven’s fusion could have been a really interesting and emotional thing, Garnet loves fusion and she loves Steven, so getting to fuse with him would have been something she was Ecstatic about getting to do (same goes for Rainbow 2.0 i think he could have been an incredible point in Pearl’s arc of her getting over Rose completely and fusing with Steven to create whats implied to be the only fusion that Rose herself ever took part in).
Fusion and the way its treated in the show is so cool and interesting, theres a reason Giant Woman is such a beloved episode

unpopular opinion -> Inosuke is such a misunderstood character. He's incredibly emotional and I think that a lot of people only characterize him in a very surface level way. It makes me so disheartened! He loves his friends so dearly and SO passionately and it's very obvious he has been through a lot of pain and loss in his life (but just doesn't understand how to process it in a healthy way). But what do I know, he's just haha funny ugly boar loud boy.
