the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.

you’ve heard of unlikeable female characters. now get ready for unlikeable real women in your real life! and yes you still have to treat them like human beings. i know, shocking!
already can't pretend to care about the male loneliness epidemic because it isn't real but listening to the way men actually talk about their friends/what they think friendship entails makes me care even less sorry
I know "60s housewives who invented slash fanfiction" has taken on a life of its own as a phrase, but Kirk/Spock didn't really exist until the 70s and THOSE WOMEN HAD JOBS. They were teachers and librarians and bookkeepers and scientists and they damn well spent their own money going to conventions, printing zines, buying fanart and making fandom happen. Put some respect on their names.
fewer posts about “why do straight women date men who hate them” and more posts about “why do so many men hate women that it’s genuinely difficult for straight women to find romantic & sexual intimacy with a man who doesn’t hate them”
hello this is your reminder that you should care about other people. you should care if your friend is having a bad day, you should care about other people's feelings, you should care about conducting yourself with as much kindness and respect as you possibly can, and you should care about a whole country that's being genocided. yes, you should care. no, it is not simply your right to go about life caring about nothing and no one but yourself. no, that is not a neutral action. that is anti-ethical. you should care. anyone who has told you you can live your life in your own bubble of not caring has failed you. you should care.
