Recipe!!! VEGGIE STIR-FRY INGREDIENTS: Brocolli florets - 1.5 cups White Button Mushrooms (sliced) - 1.5 cups Garlic (minced) - 3 big cloves Green/Red Chilli (minced) - 2 Cherry Tomatoes (cut into half/quarters) - 6 Chopped Dill - 2 tbsp Chopped Scallions - 1 tbsp. Ground Black Pepper - 1 tsp. Salt - to taste Balsamic reduction - 3 tsp. Butter Substitute for balsamic reduction- use 2 tsp. of soy sauce and a tsp. of sugar (not the best substitute but works) PROCESS: i. Prep all your ingredients before hand. Heat a non stick pan/wok on high heat. ii. Heat some butter with some olive oil to avoid browning the butter. iii. Add in the minced chilli and garlic saute until aromatic, don't brown the garlic. iv. Add in the mushrooms and saute a while then add the brocolli florets. v. Season at this stage with pepper and salt and mix well. vi. Continue to saute until the brocolli starts gaining colour but is not burnt. vii. Add in the tomatoes, dill and scallions and saute well and switch off the heat viii. Drizzle the balsamic reduction and the sesame seeds as garnish. ix. The stir-fry is ready to serve. This layout of Shakespeare's books used to be my phone wallpaper for quite some time. William Shakespeare really takes the credit for defining my reading habits. The first book I read which was not my syllabus was Macbeth at a really young age and was fascinated by the language and naively thought that's how grown-up people converse. I couldn't wait to grow up, get out in the real world out of student life and use this as my pick-up line, “Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate.” from Sonnet 18. But my pretty bubble was soon broken rather exploded and reality hit me. We got into doing life. After reading and collecting hundreds of books through years; Shakespeare will always remain the one who got me into this beautiful world of imagination. I always had and will have an enthusiastic admiration for this man with the most comprehensive and witty soul. Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell I picked up this book when I decided to read more woman authors during my early college days. I feel ‘Gone with the Wind’ is the most underrated classic of its time. I absolutely was enthralled by the characters, the setting, the historical context, and so on. It takes guts to sew together a badass character that may have a divided opinion from the readers. You either love Scarlett O’Hara for being the badass or you hate her for being the raging evil snarky b****. The protagonist is not your regular hero. She is selfish and vain with no interest in the feelings of other people. But is equally balanced with determination, courage and perseverance. This book takes the award for being the most shocking, and emotionally absorbing piece of literature ever written, along with being unendingly tragic at the same time. I frantically kept reading, often throughout the nights, just to see when it would start getting happy, but there was never any silver lining - it NEVER gets happy.
