I feel that this is somewhat important. I love the art you did with manfred eating the evidence, in particular I think you excelled at the facial expressions. It's really good, but... My roommate has been talking about this all day. It might be her new favorite thing, lots and lots of quoting and sharing it. I thank you for making this art but please release my roommate from this "eat the evidence" curse.

Hi, I am opening up character bust commissions for BLM related fundraisers. Basically here’s how it will work:

1. Please DM me with a brief explanation of what you want (what character, and whether you want a simple lineart bust with flat colors or a fully painted one), and which fund you plan on donating to.

2. Once I answer your request, send your donation in to that fund (if possible I will also ask you to send a specific amount, like just an extra few cents or so, just to guard against people re-using screenshots).

3. Send me your screenshots with the proof of donation, make sure you have proof of both the specific amount donated and a date/timestamp (like from the email confirmation these orgs will usually send you, for example).

4. I will put your request in the queue and then message you once I get to work on your piece! Please also send me any more specific refs/descriptions of the character that might be necessary, especially if this is an OC and not a popular character that I can look up. Once I get to your piece I will also try to stay in regular communication with you and send you progress updates.

For an idea of places to donate you can look at the BlackLivesMatter carrd which has a broad list of funds.

In honor of Pride month I would recommend looking at the Homeless Black Trans Women fund, they are based in Atlanta and get supplies and rooming for homeless black trans women, and they have recently had to raise their goal.

I would also recommend Miss Major Griffin Gracy’s Fundraising Circle. Miss Major is a black trans woman who was an important figure in the Stonewall riots and activist for years. This fund is to help her with medical bills and retirement.

I will be opening just 6 slots total for now, both on instagram and tumblr. Please DM me if interested!

I haven't really done any personal art for a while, even since the semester ended, so last night I finally decided to doodle a bit and ended up revisiting this guy (now for the first time in color)!

And then here’s my animation final for this semester! I chose to do Elliot the dragon from Pete’s Dragon (albeit a bit simplified for the sake of time), trying to enjoy an apple.

(apologies for the poor quality, I had to shoot this on my phone & use an app to compile all the frames since we no longer have access to the campus downshooter lab, and our school still requires us to animate everything traditionally on paper T_T)

Oh yeah since I haven’t been posting much here, here’s some assorted assignments from my digital painting class (which just ended a few days ago)

top: crystal flail, the assignment was to make a weapon or object of some kind that consists of 3 different materials we studied. I chose metal, wood and crystal surfaces (the crystal is specifically based on a lovely piece of polished carnelian that I have)

middle: couple of animal texture studies, basically meant as practice for the final. I chose to study a mandrill for their teeth because I think theirs are some of the scariest and coolest looking ones!

bottom: the final: bust of a character/creature of some kind that incorporates various textures we studied. his name is Mister Sticky :)

Overall it was a bit stressful having to do this class from home, but in the end I’d say I’m at least pleased with some of the things I learned and the progress I made. Before this I wouldn’t have even touched anything that wasn’t just 2D line art, now I definitely feel a lot more confident in my rendering skills, and even found that it can actually be more fun and relaxing for me at times than my regular 2D drawings!

Been itching to draw something nasty looking, and I’ve been experimenting with alternative styles lately so tonight i just did this real rough silhouette sketch of a manticore. I might refine it more later on but for now I really dig the bold, graphic look I’m starting to gravitate towards more and more. Definitely wanna practice more stuff like this lol.
