Quarter Life Crisis

I was supposed to leave for La Union with my besties from high school, since one of them, Alexa is a genius who turned her work into play by choosing a thesis topic she will definitely not get sick off.
So I asked permission two weeks before, as behaved as a daughter I am, and my mom allowed me. I was super excited so we went on planning!
One week, before the trip we had lunch at my grandmothers and a family intervention happened. Supposedly, it was for my mom but instead we all started digging our own graves and the La Union trip came up. Uh-oh.
I won’t get into detail, but shoreline (bottom line) is I was still allowed to go, but I had to bring a driver and I didn’t want to. So instead of pushing it, I just let it go, and obeyed my authorities.
The time will come, when i’ll get to do what I wanna do, when I want to and run my life, but this isn’t the time yet, and I’m in no rush.
So fast forward my other bestie also apparently couldn’t go anymore, cause her mom pre-planned a family vacay in Laiya, Batangas so the kapal faced friend I am, I invited myself bringing a long our trusty curly gubat take-him-anywhere friend Jude and spent the day soaking up the sun, and riding flying fishes with Kate’s other family friends who were such great company.
We were 11 packed into a Montero, with Kate, Jude and I getting the super backseat. I’ve never felt so close to them, we were like sardines, in a car, but I barely felt it cause I slept like a log, the whole way. (If you know me, just put me in a car and in 5 minutes, i’m out.
Stretching has never felt so good!

It hurt my throat, cause it was sour like how a lemonade should be, but my throat was being sore, so it was SORROWful (get it? sour… sore… sorrow..) drinking experience, but it was great, if my throat wasn’t being throaty. (Okay, yes this makes sense.)
These pretty cabana’s that cost P1,500.00 and can fit around 10 people. We didn’t use it that much though, except just to place our stuff. There were also cabanas, where there were grills you can use to cook or just stare at.
First things, first though, we ate… And the meal was diet friendly… It was uhmm… good… I mean, food is food, and I appreciate all kinds of food… but lets just say the rice was yummier than the main dish. (Insert winky smiling peace out face)

This is Jude, our kulot, gubat, take-him-anywhere guy friend, who I met because I needed a prostitute dancer for a play I was doing and he fit the role perfectly.
This is Nicolette, the sister of Kate, who we hate, because no matter what angle you take a photo of her from she looks stunning.
The children who poured sand on me, when I fell asleep. Took me two days to fully remove all the sand from my hair and ears, not a wonderful feeling.

A shout out to Cesa where I bought my swimsuit from the Trendsetter’s Bazaar! It was the most comfy thing in the world, I could move and do anything and everything and not feel conscious. The stylishness was also def a plus! And the drawstring bag that the comes with the bikini was very useful also to keep our phones away from the water and sand. You guys should definitely check them out!
This post was called the Flying Fish, because we went on a flying fish, it was a first for me and Kate fell twice. She always falls, it was funny.
So I don’t have a group shot of everybody, but this is semi-all the children.

Makulimlim Na was an official entry to the Benildean theatre festival Crossroads on its fourteenth year. I was given the opportunity to be the marketing manager of the play. Along with this, I created a lifesize version of the poster with Jude Garcia as one of the marketing materials that was displayed in the 12th floor SDA cafeteria.
