This work is amazing (like everything I've read from AvoOwO), it's set in the Cloud Recess arc, Wei Wuxian appears passed out on the grass of the backfields and at first everyone assumes that he got really drunk but after they check him out it turns out someone drugged him. #wwx and wq are peak older siblings rep #they both love wn so much is amazing and sweet #I think the wen where just what wwx needed to understand the difference between love and debt #he felt loved and he loved them #he was protected and he protected #it was his first time having an actual family #I do find so interesting the difference between how he acts around the wen and the jiang #he has a better relationship with the wens that what he had with even jyl imo #he had her in a pedestal and saw her as this amazing savior that was perfect in every sense #and I feel like that adoration just made a drift between them #like op said it's not their fault but rather the fault of their situation #I do like the whole “jyl was a bit of a mom to wwx” thing but I always want to emphasize that jyl is not that older than wwx #so it was a very complicated relationship #Wen Qing was just what he needed from a sister and I think that's beautiful #she was brutally honest but not actually (or actively) mean #not in the ways that mattered #they truly loved each other so much #wwx didn't meet the wen until later in life but he loved them with lifetime worth
