We all know Fëanor as “the guy obsessed with his Silmarils” but it’s quite something to remember that when he first discovered Morgoth had ransacked his house, he wasn’t even thinking about how the Silmarils were most likely stolen. Ok I'm just pissed off now and want to share something with you so bear with me.

the thing about Tolkien fans the ones that love a certain character and make it their whole personality,

like they defend and always post about them and say they understand their character,

for now they are good ok everyone has their own opinion.

BUT!!

when someone hate or attack their favorite character they get furious like someone offended them fr!,

they don't accept any hate in any kind whether it's big or tiny, they immediately attack you aggressively and say you understand nothing.

NOT JUST THAT!,

they refuse when people hate their character but at the same time they hate and judge other characters and shame others for liking a certain character they hate.

Feanorians haters are pain in the ahh.

MF be liking Morgoth the big bad Valar and his servant Sauron, who done nothing good and the reason for all the chaos in middle earth.

they will attack you if you hate their favorite character and say you don't have any right to hate them and then have the audacity to judge what you like and proceed to tell you how bad your favorite character is..

I can't tolerate them any more!,

like just leave people have their fun alone, IT'S A FICTIONAL WORLD FOR FCK SAKE!.

FR!, and people still blame Feanor for everything when literally everyone was acting dump(specifically Thingol and his descendants).

the line "the cruel servants of celegorm" has no right driving me as insane as it does... like. servants, he had servants who followed him even after doriath, who left e&e in the forest presumably as revenge for his death. what kind of leader was he to inspire such loyalty to the point of cruelty, that they would stay by him even after the kinslayings, even after the whole nargothrond mess? and i often see the name 'the cruel' attributed to him, but to my own knowledge i've only ever seen it tied directly to his servants? wondering what they were like drives me absolutely insane, and i can't stop thinking about how celegorm must have been like as a leader (it was his idea to attack doriath, which is another thing that drives me insane, because he managed to get all his brothers to follow him???), especially his relationship with his servants (followers? two potentially different meanings here.)

anyway, i feel like celegorm's influence gets frequently disregarded in favor of writing him off as Witless Disney Henchman™️ to curvo's Evil Disney Villain™️ which is. odd considering his more dominant lines in the silm, but whatever. that's a discussion for another time because i have Many Thoughts regarding c&c's dynamic versus their common portrayals.
