I know everyone and their mother has given their opinion but this is mine

TL;DR: My Head canon for ages when Damian came to the manor are Bruce = 40; Dick = 24; Cass = 21~20; Jason = 20; Steph = 18; Tim = 17; Duke = 15; Dami = 10 and the reason why is because I want Dick and Bruce to have been the same age when they took on a Robin.

Bruce and Dick have a 16 year age difference so Dick is between 8-10 when he starts being Robin, Bruce is 24-26ish. He probably started the whole Bat thing when he was around 22-24; (depending on whether you want him to drop out of college or med school) and have his training trip around the world or whatever and give him only a few years more experience actually crime fighting than Dick.

Dick is fired/kicked out at 16-17, which is when Jason becomes Robin at 12~13 ish. Jason dies at 15, but I like him to have been Robin for about three years or so. Bruce goes on a rampage for a few months before Tim becomes Robin also around age 12 just for it to really hit home for Jason that he is being replaced.

Also Dick is 19ish at this time, so Tim would only have been a year or two old (7 years age difference) when Dick’s parents died, so it probably really could have been one of Tim’s earliest memories hahaha.

I like Steph being slightly older than Tim, a year or so at most. I don’t know if we know Cass’s age, but I like her being older than Jason just so he can’t even say that he’s second best at everything. He’s third.

And then the thing that holds my timeline together: Dick is about 24 when Damian comes to the Manor at 10. Tim is around 17. Bruce lost in time but he’s around 40. Steph is 18 and in college while also being Batgirl (girl boss). Dick is around the same age Bruce was when Dick became Robin.

And Duke is like a year or two younger than Tim, 16 during the whole We Are Robin thing which I guess happens the following year??

Trying to figure out a reasonable age difference for the Robins is like the worst math word problem except you measure the answer with your heart

I fully understand that the preponderance of evidence is that George Lucas put absolutely zero thought into what Naboo’s culture was actually supposed to look like outside of what we see on screen, but as far as unintentionally effective worldbuilding goes, establishing that Naboo a. has a tradition of electing literal children as figurehead rulers of its planetary government, and b. apparently also has a tradition of assassinating these children with sufficient frequency that dressing up a bunch of other children as decoy targets has become standard operating procedure by the time of Padmé Amidala’s reign suggests that maybe the fact that this random backwater is a breeding ground for Sith Lords isn’t as unlikely as it initially appears.

I was just v casually looking through the Francis Barton tag bc I was reminded of the Next Avengers animated movie and I saw some comic panels for Avengers World (2015) and honestly it is such a Choice for James to go sleeveless what the fuck are you doing kid you’re going to get scraped up every time you encounter shrapnel. You’re not Hawkeye w a bow that needs freedom of arm movement or whatever to draw the string back and is usually supposed to be far from explosions for range and even then Francis is wearing a jacket with long sleeves unlike his father.

Also Azari with the short sleeves what are you doing also kid?? I guess maybe for his powers?? But I don’t see why?? I’m pretty sure Ororo has also used long sleeves and so does T’challa.

James’ outfit in the animated movie made more sense is all I’m saying. Azari also had a sleeveless top so idk what
