Thank you! I can’t STAND the way the Grandmaster treats/looks at Loki. It gives me the creeps every time they’re on-screen together. I never got the feeling that he was Loki’s Sugar Daddy, he always felt predatory to me.

taika waititi, a cishet man, claims to have shot a scene in which we see a woman leaving valkyrie's room as to allude that she's into women, but says that the scene was cut because "it detracted from important exposition". he never specified who got the scene cut but the reasoning implies it was his decision as a director to cut it out and not due to marvel executives meddling. assuming it was true, it seems to be a very small and silly reason to cut a scene that would have been groundbreaking in the history of the mcu, and important for many people, my bi ass included. despite him claiming to have shot that scene, it's nowhere to be found in any deleted scene batches, suspiciously. cue tumblr falling head over heels over him and calling him an amazing ally, and many text posts with some variation of the following convo "marvel: don't make those characters gay! / taika waititi: i'm going to make them hella gay! / marvel: oh no" he made them gay and there's nothing we can do!"

kate herron, an openly bisexual woman who has directed media with openly lgbt characters before, fights tooth and nail to be able to include one honest to god explicit mention to Loki being into men, and she knows it's as far as marvel will allow her to delve into his same sex attraction. cue tumblrites calling her a bitch and a cunt, a queerbaiting devil and a false bisexual, threatening her family, threatening her dog, putting online abuse into the mentions of every post she makes
