(you already know... Here's the recommended song!)
Do you dream of me too?
You held your hands closely in front of your chest, dozing off into space. Your thoughts surrounded the only one you could focus on, the only one you truly sought after.
Izuku, the boy who managed to swiftly steal your heart even when he hadn't noticed. It didn't take you long to realize how badly you've fallen in love with him, rather that he didn't feel the same.
You knew that once you started getting closer. He finally admitted his eyes were on her.
You exhaled, releasing a breath you didn't realize you were holding. "I mean, who wouldn't fall for her."
Uraraka was such a beam of light, spreading it everywhere she went. Yea, you thought her smile was cute and she had a great personality.
You just didn't expect izuku to think that -- but ten times more. You didn't expect to see the one you admired to go chase after someone you were close friends with. Even after a while of talking with her she confessed her crush on him as well.
You closed your eyes, thinking back to the day when you knew izuku could never be yours.
-------------------------------------------------.
"Hey, midoriya!" Denki giggled, slightly nudging you as his eyes sparked with excitement. You tried your best to laugh along with him but all that came out was a weak breath of air coming out of your lips, making it painfully obvious you were faking it. Not that he noticed though.
"Hm?" The green-haired student turned his head towards you and denki -- or rather the whole group that stood behind you as well. "What's...up?"
"When are you gonna confess to Uraraka already?" The whole group yelled in sync, your voice barely audible as you joined in.
Izuku immediately spat out the water he was drinking as his face concerted into a deep shade of red, his embarrassment would've been funny or even cute to you if it were any other moment in time, just not now. "W-what?"
Uraraka was sitting at the same table he was on, her expression not so far off from your -- or her, crush. "Eh?" Her hands wobbled, the cup in her hands dangerously close to spilling when she looked at the group.
"Man, do we have to do it for you or what?" Mina folded her arms dramatically as if she just got told an insult from someone. Izuku flinched, his face calming down from being a complete tomato as he slowly turned to glance in your direction. His eyes seemed like they were almost asking for your approval.
You two became close friends over the year, meaning you were most likely the one he always turned his head to whenever he needed help with something important. That's what friends are for in the end, right? You were thankful for all the memories you had together, the times you both laughed together until you couldn't breathe, when he was there if you needed a shoulder to cry on. It all wasn't going down the drain, no,
But it sure felt like it.
You blinked, quickly admiring his eyes as they practically sparkled with anticipation. That would be the last time you would let yourself look at him in that way.
"Go for it, midoriya."

(sorry, sorry, but here's another recommended song!!)
You were majestic in his eyes -- a piece of art that would be too expensive to buy. Someone who seems untouchable, yet drawing everyone's attention.
Todoroki knew this even as the prince. He often watched you leave the castle with the basket in your hands, flowers of all different kinds scattered in it - or what's left anyway.
You were "just" supposed to be the "flower girl", or in other words the one who came to replace the flowers almost every other week. His father was kind enough to let you stay on the days you came to work, providing food and a luxurious room before you left again. It was the same process. He hadn't even discovered you until he bumped into you one day.
He just so happened to be coming back from an exhausting training session with his father, leaving him angered and tired. Sure, learning self defense and knowing how to use a sword would come in at a good time but it didn't feel like that would happen if he was barely let out of the castle.
He was grumbling all the way back to his room, the long hallways teasing him about how far of a walk it was just to get to his bed. His eyes weren't focused on his surroundings, rather the red carpet that decorated the floors, resulting in an accident he never expected.
You came rushing out from the corner he was going to turn, a basket of white flowers wobbling in your hand before you crashed into the prince who was too distracted by the ground. It all happened in mere seconds, leaving you dumbfounded. You completely didn't realize you had just ran into the soon-to-be king.
You groaned softly, the impact leaving your head spinning for longer than you wanted before the realization hit you. How could you do that?
'The flowers!'
Without a second wasted, you jolted up, your hair in a mess, quickly turning to check on your flowers you had just brought. They were one of the freshly grown ones from your village and you didn't plan on destroying them anytime soon. But when you saw a few of them smashed from the accident, your lips slowly formed into a frown. It hurt you more than someone would think. Flowers were something you cherished.
"Pardon."
The voice brought you out of your trance, your face melting into one of horror. You could recognize that voice from anywhere. This had to be a joke, right? Your head slightly turned towards the one and only prince that stood before you, his expression stoic as always. If you looked close enough you thought there was a flash of anger behind it but you swiftly took your basket and made your feet stand.
"Prince! I..uh.. I'm so sorry! Please forgive me I had no idea that was you. It was my fault for rushing like that, I promise I won't run in the halls again-" You continuously bowed, the flowers in your basket swaying with each movement of your body. Todoroki had to calm himself from having another headache so he brushed you off.
"Just don't do it again, alright?" His voice was surprisingly softer this time, a ping of somberness attached to it. You immediately froze in place, letting him walk past you. For a moment you felt the fabric of his shirt pass by your sleeve but he was already off to his destinated area, leaving you left with no words.
It wasn't everyday you ran into someone with high authority -- the only thing close to that was introducing yourself to the king very briefly to explain why you were doing your job at his palace.
You shook your head, lips still in a frown as you walked off, the two of you going separate ways.
-----------------------------------------------.
As todoroki finally stepped foot into his room, he collapsed on the bed that awaited him all day. Each new morning felt like a chore, repeating the same schedule over and over again just to be scolded by a father who could care less about him and he feels. All for the money and power.
He promised himself that he wouldn't become like that. He never wanted that for his future, if he even had one. He's gotten so used to people faking their own personalities around him just because he's the son of the king, he doesn't know who's real and fake anymore. Other than his siblings of course. Though they often went out of the castle for "Kingdom matters." It left him alone most of the time, wanting the attention from a loved one he hardly got to experience.
It was a couple of minutes before he eventually got up from his bed, groggily looking around the room before he noticed something. White flowers were placed on his window seal, bringing the eery scenery some enlightenment. They were eye-catching, although they were plain white, it was the pureness they held that got his attention. For a moment he recognized them.
Weren't those the ones he saw when he ran into you? He recalled seeing that same color in the basket you held. He also remembered the way you frantically apologized to him over something so small. Another thing that he didn't particularly like about people.
But he did remember your face slightly. Even if it was just for a couple of seconds, he was sure to catch some of your features. He assumed you were the one who took care of the flowers in the castle because he heard of someone now taking care of that matter but he never got to meet them -- or in this case, you.
He remembered your long eyelashes, the village-like dress you wore, the color of your hair, and your hands. He particularly noticed how small they were.
He found himself in a daze, wondering who exactly you were. He knew what you looked like to a certain point, but who were you? His eyes danced along the flowers, admiring their beauty in the sunset.
Just for a minute, he wondered if he would ever see you again.

Todoroki gazed at your sleeping form, soft snores coming from you. He thought he shouldn't be looking at you like this in such a vulnerable state, but he couldn't help it. Your features were exquisite to him.
You were studying together but he figured you must have gotten exhausted, it was close to midnight after all, yet you insisted on staying with him. He wasn't mad, not at all, in fact he was relieved that you were resting. He just didn't expect it to take place in his dorm.
For a moment longer he stared, taking notice of the way your back would rise and fall. Your head rested against the notebook you were writing in and if he was being completely honest, you looked pretty comfortable.
He sighed, slowly getting up from his seat and debated what he should do. It wasn't everyday that the person he secretly admired slept in his own dorm. If he brought you a blanket it would be fairly simple but would it make it seem like he didn't care that much? Usually in movies he sees the person sleeping be carried into bed. The thought flustered him more than he expected. Quickly shaking his head, he figured the blanket was the best option for now.
His steps were quiet, soft as a feather one might say, as he reached for the blanket on his bed. He silently thanked himself for washing it very often, it would've been embarrassing if it were otherwise.
Once he settled it down on your shoulders he took another moment to admire your features. He really didn't want to seem creepy in any way but he was like a magnet when it came to you. Always finding himself crawling right back to you. He kept trying to distance the relationship you two had but you never gave him the full opportunity to do so.
You were a stubborn one indeed.
He chuckled softly, a smile forming on his lips. Perhaps that's why he was so drawn to you. The fact that you didn't want to let go of him despite all the attempts he's tried to run away.
He watched as you snuggled closer to the blanket, his heart beating faster than normal. He noticed that often happened whenever he was around you. He thought it was something you did at first but after a while he thought something was wrong with him.
It took a lot of explaining from midoriya and a few others to get it in his head what that all meant. He was stubborn to admit it for a long time.
But as his eyes remained glued to your sleeping form, he knew that it was impossible to deny it now.
He was in love with you.

(hey, listen to my recommend song to read with <3)
Izuku who fantasizes what it's like to hold your hand when he first falls in love with you.
Izuku who, once you start getting closer, wonders what it would be like if you were his.
You were so close, yet so far at the same time. You were right in front of him, within his grasp, but he couldn't bring himself to make the move. The one move that could make you his.
There were times when he reached out, every time it ended up in failure. Surely, you weren't this clueless? Or maybe it was because you truly just didn't see him the way he wanted you to. Oh, how his heart yearned for the day you would fall head over heels for him like he did for you.
Each time you walked into the classroom he felt his heart do summersaults, beating at a rate that could shock anyone. How hard had he fallen? He often questions himself. And why he did so. Perhaps his heart had a mind of its own.
Even as he worked, your features would make its way into his mind, easily distracting him from what he was originally doing. It was dangerous grounds when he had a pen and paper in his hands when you came to mind, to say the least. On most days he scribbles down little details about you he catches. You're just mesmerizing. And that wasn't even your quirk.
He hoped that you wouldn't find the small notebook he got just for you, pages filled from top to bottom describing how beautiful you were as a person. He wrote on and on about your personality the most, your appearance was just a bonus. A really big bonus.
But it seems the world has different plans for him. The day he forgot to put that exact notebook away was when you had a project to do. Izuku Midoriya, who's known for his strategic planning, forgot to simply put away something that could ultimately decide where your friendship would lead.
And it didn't look like it was going down a road he wanted.
He came back with a few snacks in hand, giddy about spending time with you. Once he opened the door he thought his eyes were deceiving him. You, the one he admired for so long, held the very thing he never wanted you to see. Your reaction could've been funny out of context, but to him it was the end of the world.
"H-hey, midoriya." You looked like you saw a ghost just slam the door open instead of him. He saw the anxiousness start to arise in you just by looking at your eyes. The same ones that had him swooning. He mustered up the courage to finally speak, knowing very well you probably read enough from the first couple of pages, "How much..did you read?"
Your head almost immediately dropped towards the floor, hands fiddling with each other. "Listen, I think..." You stopped, debating what you would say next, "maybe we should study tomorrow? I'm pretty tired tonight from all the training, y'know?" You chuckled, trying to hide the awkwardness rising in the atmosphere.
Izuku knew what you were really trying to say. He knew from the very way you laughed. It didn't sound like your usual one that was genuine. He let his bangs cover his face as he stared at the snacks in his hands. Still being the gentleman he is, he moved out of your way and opened the door for you.
"Yea, that's alright."
Without another second wasted, he saw you jump up from your seat and hastily walk past him, leaving him alone with his somber heart that once chased after you.
Izuku, who threw away his notebook filled with everything about you, tossed it in the trash.
Izuku who, that day, also threw away all his feelings he had for you. At least, he tried to.
Oh, how hard it was for him to forget what he held for you. Every time you walked down the hallway or into class. Every time you mentioned his name. Every time you simply walked past him, his heart broke a little. There were few words exchanged between you two now, making it impossible for him to be around you without wanting to cry on the spot.
Izuku, who wonders what it would've been like if you hadn't read his notebook.

Izuku watched the clouds slowly pass by through the classroom window, lost in his own wandering thoughts. His eyes seemed to be somewhere else, not paying attention to the lesson at all.
He's been in a daze for a while now, actually. And he probably knows why.
If only you hadn't been so ... eye-catching, then maybe he would've been able to focus. He's never found himself this distracted before. What was going on? He honestly didn't know why he couldn't get you out of his mind. He never even got to talk with you all the time before the "fight."
"Midoriya, do you know the answer?"
Aizawa's voice quickly brought him out of his dizzy-like state and he shook his head in surprise from the sudden call. "Y-yes?" He immediately regretted that answer when his teacher folded his arms, giving his signature glare as he stared izuku down, making him slightly tremble.
"It's easy enough to tell that was a lie. Stop dozing off and listen or you got extra homework coming your way." He huffed, going back to what he was talking about as some of the students snorted from the small encounter.
"What's got midoriya's head up in the clouds?" Denki chuckled, noticing the emerald-eyed teen flinch at his words.
"Who knows.."
Izuku truly didn't understand it either. You were just another student in class 1-A that he respected, weren't you? Even during the fight he barely talked with you. He heaved a sigh and bunched down in his chair, irritated at the fact he couldn't get ahold of himself.
Unbeknownst to him, your eyes were gazing directly at him. Or his back you should say. Your hand rested against your cheek and from anyone's point of view, it would've looked like you were judging izuku. That was just your resting face though. Inside, you too were pondering about the boy who managed to win the small fight against you. It wasn't that often you got distracted just by someone's face.
You blinked, ever so slowly, your eyes watched him like a hawk would to its prey.
'What is his deal?'
You soon scrunched your nose as if you were disgusted, making it painfully obvious to todoroki, whom you sat next to, that something was going on inside your head.
"L/n? Are you alright?" His whisper plucked you out of your wandering and you looked like a deer in headlights as you glanced at him, "You seemed...stressed."
"Oh. No I'm fine, don't you worry." You gently waved your hand at him, almost in a dramatic way and went back to Aizawa's lesson, leaving the poor boy confused.
You silently begged for the class to be over with, not wanting to be around izuku. Just for some strange reason. Maybe it was the fact you lost to him for the first time. Not that you two ever trained with each other in the first place. Thoughts about that situation were soon thrown out the window when you turned to look at the clock. You figured it had a mind of its own, each passing second was compared to lasting for a decade. If that didn't irritate you, you didn't know what did. But then your teacher miraculously spoke,
"That's it for the lesson. Before you go, training like we did previously will be happening again next week so be prepared for that." Aizawa's mumbling sounded like he was ready to leave just as much as you were and you couldn't wait any longer.
Without a second thought you rushed out of your seat, grabbing your bag and bolting past everyone in the classroom. Todoroki now knew something was definitely going on.
"L/n, wait." He swiftly grabbed his bag, shoving his notes into it as he graciously ran after you, getting izuku's attention along the way.
Your hands gripped the door handle, irritated that you still couldn't escape. "Yes, todoroki?" Your voice was stiff, sarcastic even, and you made sure it was obvious. It didn't have much of an effect on him. You somehow managed to become friends with the stoic boy despite all the rumors about him. You knew him a little in junior high but conversation was never something that you two held back then.
"I still have a feeling you're not completely okay. If I'm wrong then I'll leave you alone, I'm sorry." He slightly bowed, not dramatically - thankfully - but in a calmly manner that managed to make you sigh. He truly knew how to ease your anger sometimes even when he didn't know it. Your eyes searched the classroom to see if you could take a quick look at izuku, just in case he was watching. When you noticed him talking to Uraraka, you beckoned todoroki to follow you.
"Fine, just this one time I'll tell you, got it?" Even your whisper sounded harsh but once again, todoroki didn't seem fazed at all. He nodded his head, eyes serious as if you were in an intense situation. You had to blink at him for a minute, a confused expression taking over your features. You wondered why he took everything to another level.
"Agh--whatever. C'mon." You grabbed his hand and led him out the door at last, not noticing izuku staring after you both as you left.
Uraraka left to go talk to Momo, leaving him to ponder once more. It was only when you grabbed todoroki's hand that he noticed you. He didn't know the relationship between the two of you but something inside of him stung when he saw that action.
His eyes drifted down to his own hand, tracing over each scar that would forever be there.
And just for a moment, he wondered what your hand would feel like in his.
'What's my problem?'

Tumblr media
The hospital room was deadly silent apart from the beeping of a machine. Katsuki sat in the chair that was directly next to the bed you laid in, his leg bouncing up and down as his thoughts raced. He knew you were stubborn sometimes but he didn't actually think you'd jump into action so quickly.
Why had you done it?
Why had you jumped right into battle and took the hit for him? If he had been quicker none of this would've happened. He blamed himself for everything the moment he was told you'd be unconscious for a while.
He longed to see your smile again. All he wanted was to hear your voice and know that you were okay. He needed to see your eyes again, the same ones he fell in love with.
His eyes traveled to your figure, the machine monitoring your heart and blood pressure seemed to be working just fine. So why haven't you woken up yet? He couldn't find the strength within himself to even look at you anymore. Every time he did, more anxious thoughts filled his mind more than before.
Katsuki hated this. He hated seeing himself in this state. More importantly he hated seeing you in that state. He dreaded every time you got hurt or even cried. He tried his best to always comfort you when you needed it, he was getting there. He told himself to work on his attitude for you because he truly did love you. He loved you for who you were and he wouldn't ever change that. But if he could change one thing at that moment, it would be for you to wake up. The very thing he needed was for your eyes to just open.
"Dumbass.." His hand slowly reached out for yours, entangling them together like you always loved. Apparently you had a thing for his hands. He pretended not to acknowledge it but deep down he loved it when you got excited just to hold his hand. It brought him more joy than anything.
He always knew you were someone different. That's what intrigued him the most when he first met you at UA. You had a charm unlike anyone else and he couldn't fight the unexpected feeling of butterflies every time you called his name. You carried his heart in your very hands and he had no problem with that. He trusted you. And he knows very well that it took a long time for you to get to that point. Yet, he still found himself not worthy of you.
You brought light into his world so many times. He was always so grateful for your presence around him because it brought him a sense of peace and comfort.
He's in love with you.
And that was never going to change. No matter how long he has to wait for you to wake up.
