Percy Jackson & The Avengers: Convergence - the effect
I would just like to say that being mad that a fictional story doesn't turn out the way you hoped, that does not give you the right to cyber bully. You know who you are. And that fact that you were so WRONG makes this so much more satisfying.
If you were supportive and thanked me for the story, I would like to give u a giant platter of electronic cookies. You're the best, guys.
Ω ♆ Ω
Camp was under a dark cloud. None of the normal activities were happening, no matter how much Chiron was pushing for the campers to try. Even the old centaur seemed tired. And even though the weather was controlled by the dome, it was pouring rain all day. The sea was crashing against the shore in maverick-sized waves, as well, reflecting Poseidon's mood. It had been like this for almost two weeks, ever since Percy was brought back to camp.
As Annabeth made her way to the medbay, she almost wished she could stop it all. She knew that this was not what he would've wanted. He would've wanted them all to keep on moving, just like he always seemed to be able to do after devastating blows such as this.
But the camp wasn't him. The son of Posiedon was powerful and unique, and he was gone. The camp wouldn't see it any differently unless they saw a fully-recovered Perseus Jackson.
She didn't even glance at the other campers in the building as she made her way to her destination: the back room. He had been kept there since they brought him back.
Opening the door, she was almost shocked onto her ass when she saw her boyfriend sitting up in bed. He was talking to Will, while the doctor took down notes on his clipboard.
At her entrance, he looked up and broke out into a tired, but bright, smile, "Hey, 'beth."
Storming up to him, she whacked the back of his head, and then followed it by doing the same to Will, "Neither of you could've sent word that he was awake?! And then all I get when I find out is a 'hey'?!"
Before Percy could respond, she dove into his arms in a hug, being careful not to hurt him. "Don't ever do that to me again, Perseus Jackson."
"I missed you too, Wise Girl," Percy whispered into her hair.
"I'll give you two a minute to catch up. I'll be back in a little while," Will said, exiting the room before he could wait for a response.
"I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you," Annabeth whispered, pulling back to give Percy a passionate kiss, "Don't ever do that again."
"I wasn't planning on it," Percy chuckled, then winced when his stitches pulled.
Will had been able to heal most of the internal damage, but he still had a nasty cut on his back and stomach, both having to heal naturally. It would scar, but it wouldn't be the first time for him.
As Annabeth pulled herself up next to him, she took his hand in both of hers, trying to ground herself. She had thought, for a minute there, that she would lose him. This like this had happened too many times for her to count, but it never got any easier.
"Well, you heard the doc. Catch me up on what's been going on. Will said I've been in a coma for two weeks?" Percy said.
Annabeth laughed, and then wiped her eyes, "Yeah, you have. It was horrible, Perce. There was so much blood. Luckily, Nico was able to shadow-travel Will to the tower, where he got you stable enough to be brought back to camp. There's more tools for Will to heal a demigod here."
Percy nodded, waiting for her to continue. He knew how overwhelming this was. Hades, he had been just like her when he first woke up to Will leaning over him.
Slowly, she started telling him everything that had been going on since his stabbing. She told him about Hazel, at which he immediately asked if she was okay. Annabeth told him that she was fine now, but had been a bit shaken at first.
Then, when he asked about the Avengers, she told him about how they wanted to come along, but knew it was impossible. Fury had dealt with the body of the man who stabbed him, and then he told the team that Agent Coulsan's ashes were being spread in a couple of days, which distracted them. Percy had been confused at first, since he had seen Agent Coulsan not even a month ago, perfectly healthy. Annabeth had been shocked at the time, but then came up with the idea that his death must have been faked. It sounded horrible to him, but he couldn't really judge without knowing the full story. The pair agreed to keep it to themselves for now.
The Seven had been visiting him daily, so that's where the flowers and balloons must have come from. The Avengers managed to call them at the Big House, where they were reassured that Percy was healing, but had still not woken up. Annabeth said that they would contact them soon.
But for a little while, the two just wanted to bask in each others' presence.
No more chaos surrounding them.
Just them, together.

So, for an update on the sequel:
I am working on a sneak-peak to upload here, and then incorporate into the first chapter. But the first chapter should definitely not be up until at least the summer. I am working on 2 other projects right now, including one VERY LONG marauders fic if you're interested.
Thanks again for all the support!

Percy Jackson & The Avengers: Convergence - the funeral
I am evil.
Ω ♆ Ω
It was a nice service. It was held by the ocean, just where he said he wanted it. It was almost surreal to see how bright the day was, when to the group of people, it couldn't seem any more dark. And as his ashes were sent out to sea, if a few tears fell from the infamous Black Widow's eyes, nobody mentioned it.
The Avengers sat in the back in civilian clothing, not wanting to draw attention. After all, what would they say if someone came up to them, asking how they knew him? They were friends from work? That never seemed to cover it.
People were making speeches. Everyone was talking about how he was an excellent man, and all his heroic adventures. Half of them the heroes had never heard of. They hadn't known him that long, but it didn't seem that way.
It was just salt in the wound when someone would mention how he died saving the world.

Percy Jackson & The Avengers: Convergence - the reaction
I swear I meant to post this much sooner. Sry ig
Lots of thx to my wonderful beta reader!
Ω ♆ Ω
For several painstakingly-silent seconds, everyone was too shocked to move, or even speak. The silence was broken by the maniacal laugh coming from Percy's attacker. The man was mortal, made obvious by the way he held his weapon, and he was using a Greek style sword, just made with steel.
"I did it! I fulfilled my master's wish! We win! HAHAHAHAHA!" the man screamed, dropping to his knees.
With a gasp, Annabeth dropped down to Percy's side, tears threatening to spill out. She couldn't afford to cry right now. Not when Percy needed her.
She applied pressure to the hole in his stomach with her hands, but she knew it wasn't doing much. She knew it went all the way through. In a futile attempt to slow the bleeding, Annabeth ripped off the sleeve of her shirt and pressed it to the wound.
There was so much blood. Oh gods, there was so much blood.
While Annabeth tried to help Percy, the others had sprung into action. Well, more like Hazel shocked them all by driving her sword down on the mortal man's neck, beheading him before any of them could say a word.
"Hazel!" Steve gasped, staring in shock at the small girl before him.
She just totally threw whatever assumptions he had previously made about her out the window. And then burned them.
But that wasn't important right then.
"Bruce and Tony, go set up the medlab! Jason, Leo, and Annabeth, bring Percy there. Clint, make sure they know the way. Nat, call Fury and get him to deal with the attacker. And you," he turned to Hazel, Frank, and Piper, "Call your camp."
Everyone sprung into action. After all, their friend was dying.

Percy Jackson & the Avengers: Convergence - lmao gotcha
Don't hate me.
Ω ♆ Ω
Seven ADHD teens trying to pack is sure a sight to see. Percy hadn't even realized how many of his and Annabeth's things had been spread around their room until they were collecting it all. Majority of it was weapons and armor because, obviously, those are the most important things to bring on quests with them. Other than that, clothes were tossed in random places, and Annabeth's plans were strewn about the desk. With their recent adventures, the time actually spent in this room for more than a couple hours at a time was slim.
"Almost ready?" Piper interrupted Percy's thoughts as she knocked on their door frame.
"Yeah, almost. I just need to figure out how to pack our armor..." Annabeth answered, glaring down at the messy suitcase in front of her.
Piper laughed, "Oh, yeah! Tony made us special cases for them. I'll go get yours."
Annabeth seemed ready to explode, so Percy stepped in before Piper became a victim of the daughter of Athena's rage. "Thanks, Pipes. We'll bring it all out to the living room."
Sensing her friend's mood, the daughter of Aphrodite rushed out of the room, waving a hand over her shoulder.
Chuckling, Percy walked up behind his girlfriend and lightly kissed her shoulder, wrapping his arms around her and letting her sag against him.
"Chill out, 'beth. We're almost done," he whispered.
She sighed, "How do you always know when I'm stressed?"
"You're not exactly subtle, but I've known you since we were twelve, when I was usually the target of your frustration. So you can trust me to know you best," he answered.
Turning in his arms, Annabeth wrapped her arms around his midsection, straining to give him a kiss. Just when it was about to deepen a bit, a blaring alarm sounded from all around them.
"GOD DAMMIT TONY! WE'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG!" Percy yelled up at the ceiling, assuming that the billionaire had somehow programmed JARVIS to do this.
"I apologize sir, but that alarm was not for you. It appears that there is a group of cheerleaders attacking the Avengers in the main living areas," the British A.I. responded.
Percy dropped his forehead against Annabeth's, "Why can't we just have one normal day?"
She laughed, "We both know that's wishful thinking."
"Yeah, yeah," he muttered, dragging his feet out the door, his girlfriend on his heels.
Ω ♆ Ω
Percy should've known the moment he heard 'cheerleader.' He just KNEW that it had been too long since he'd had a run-in with this particular monster. The Fates had been too nice letting him off this easy for so long.
So when he and Annabeth ran into the living room to find the Avengers and their fellow demigods fighting Kelli and a group of her friends, he was not surprised. However, he was pissed. They were SO CLOSE to getting back to camp, where they could train and relax without worrying about annoying empousa.
"Please tell me your not stupid enough to try this again," he growled out, flicking the cap off his pen and walking casually towards his opponent.
Kelli must have ordered the other monsters to not fight him because the others just kept his team busy while he had a free walk straight to her. He never realized how long monsters could hold grudges, but he should've known after taking a walk down Ancient Greek history road.
"Perseus Jackson...we meet again," she growled, her fangs flashing out.
"Hey, Kelli. How's Tartarus? Did you give him my love?" he said, smirking.
With a growl, the monster threw herself at him, nearly slicing his face open with her claws.
Backing up a few steps, Percy chuckled, "Woah there, Kelli. I thought we could be civil. For old times sake!"
He knew he was provoking her, but when had anyone known him to deescalate a situation? His name means destroyer. His mom was asking for it.
"I'll kill you this time! Then I'll eat you and move onto your mother. She still lives in that old apartment, right?" Kelli spoke, stalking towards him.
Percy's eyes darkened, "You should not have brought my mother into this. I was going to make this painless, you know. But now...I think I'll draw this out a bit."
With a move quicker than any mortal could see, the son of the sea pushed his hand forwards, guiding the water from the pipes to explode out of the walls and surround Kelli in a swirling tornado of water.
He might have been scared of how this barely bothered him, but he had accepted that his powers were evolving. He had to grow with them.
Stalking forward and maintaining his show of power, Percy drove Riptide clearly through Kelli's abdomen with a snarl. That monster was one of the main reasons he couldn't enjoy a simple day out with his girlfriend.
Kelli let out an ear splitting shriek as she dissolved into gold dust, and made her way back to Tartarus.
"Bye, Felicia," Leo joked.
"That was awesome, Perce!" Jason exclaimed, clapping his cousin on the back as he put away his sword.
"THAT was nothing. That she-devil has been haunting me since middle school. I still find it shocking she thinks she can take me," Percy responded, capping Riptide.
As the rest of the Avengers started putting away their weapons, Tony sighed, "See, you kids say things like that, and it makes me wonder how you're still alive."
"Same, dude," Frank laughed.
Glancing at the clock, Annabeth jumped, "Chiron's expecting us at camp in twenty minutes! Let's go, people!"
Percy had been the leader in battle, but Annabeth was the leader anywhere else, and when she spoke, they listened.
"Got it, boss," Leo saluted on his way out.
Everyone else quickly dispersed, rushing to gather their bags in the living room as originally planned. As expected, each person had one duffel filled with mainly clinking metal: A demigod's survival pack.
There was an unexpected awkward silence as both groups prepared to say their goodbyes. The past couple of weeks had been so full of action, and now nobody knew how to leave it all behind.
Of course, as expected, Tony Stark could always be expected to break the tension with an inappropriate comment. "JARVIS isn't going to find anything gross in your rooms, is he? He's already traumatized enough working for me as it is."
Rolling her eyes, Piper answered, "No, dickhead," and with a smile, weaved a bit of her powers into her words, "Now slap yourself."
A resounding CRACK was heard throughout the room as Iron Man slapped himself (hard) across the face.
"OW!" he yelped.
Percy wanted to scold her at least a little bit, but the situation was just too funny. He may be Greek, but that was karma if he's ever seen it. He would've laughed too, if he didn't feel a sharp pain in his torso at that exact moment. Glancing down, he saw a sword going straight through his stomach, blood pouring out in waves.
He coughed into his hand, noticing blood coming out of his mouth. As he looked up at his friends, he saw identical looks of shock on their faces, and if he wasn't bleeding out, he would've laughed at the sight. Unfortunately, he WAS bleeding out, and whoever had stabbed him had just pulled the sword back out, which hurt like Hades.
Distantly, he heard Annabeth gasp, but he was already falling forward with rapidly less consciousness. He could still feel the blood leaving his body, but he didn't have the energy to try to push it back in. Of course his new power upgrade would come to bite him in the ass in this way. It was only right.
As he fell into the darkness, he could hear fighting happening, but it was so far off, and it seemed even further away now. And he was so tired. Every breath felt infinitely worse than breathing in Tartarus. It felt like his lungs were being ripped apart.
His last thought before finally succumbing was this: Why doesn't it hurt anymore?
Ω ♆ Ω
I repeat, don't hate me!

Percy Jackson & The Avengers: Convergence - the end
Ok, this time it was NOT my fault. My beta readers (ahem) were not finished editing this honestly pretty short chapter. So, yeah. Not on me.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sirius Black! MY LOVE! THE BEST GAY IN THE WORLD! EVERYONE SAY HAPPY BDAY TO MY BOY! MOONY WILL HAUNT U IF U DONT! 🎉🥳🎂
(if you can't tell, I'm a marauders fan)
Anyway, thanks for all the support I've received on this story. I honestly did not think this would gain any traction given how many stories are in this genre. But I was pleasantly surprised. There will be more info about the next story in the series soon. Thanks again!

Ω ♆ Ω
The next day, Percy found that he and Annabeth had been left to sleep in. It was a rare occurrence that they got a completely peaceful sleep, but last night was one of those nights. He had felt at peace with himself and his powers, and his sleep reflected that. Luckily, Annabeth's mind seemed to have picked up on that as well.
When he had finally woken up, a glance at the clock on their bedside table revealed that it was about ten in the morning. That meant that they had gotten about eleven hours of sleep. He couldn't even remember a time when he had slept that long since he lost the Achilles curse. It was nice.
He could tell that his slight movements had stirred Annabeth, but she kept pretending she was asleep in his arms. Her golden hair was forming a halo around her head in the sunlight. It was beautiful. She was beautiful.
And Percy was a simp. Forgive him, teenage boys of the world.
"We should probably get up now, Wisegirl," he whispered.
She released some sort of cross between a growl and a groan in response.
He laughed, giving her a quick kiss on the head, "I can make blue pancakes..."
That got her up. She quite literally jumped out of his arms and started changing into the nearest clothes, only stopping to glance up and give him an unimpressed look.
"Hurry up! You've got pancakes to make!"
He bursted into laughter, relenting by slowly dragging himself out of bed. She grinned at him with a smile full of love.
It was good. This was good. They were becoming more and more okay every day.
Ω ♆ Ω
"They live!" Tony exclaimed, greeting the couple in typical Tony Stark fashion.
Entering the living area, Percy had his arm tossed around Annabeth's shoulders, silently grounding each other. They were better, but not perfect.
"We were starting to think you'd both slipped into a coma," Jason joked from his position on a couch with Piper and Leo.
"That would be just our luck, wouldn't it?" Annabeth said, slipping out from under Percy's arm and sitting down at the kitchen island.
Percy went to start the search for a pan to make the pancakes in after he turned on the burners.
"Pans?" he asked Tony.
"Top left cabinet," Natasha answered instead, "Tony doesn't know where his own sock drawer is, let alone where the pans are kept."
Pulling out an unnecessarily-expensive pan, Percy next asked, "Pancake ingredients and blue food dye?"
"Why do you need blue food dye?" Tony exclaimed.
"If I told you, I'd have to kill you," Percy deadpanned.
It turned out that they didn't have enough ingredients to make pancake mix from scratch, so he would have to deal with box mix. It wasn't the first time his mother's recipe was done differently, so it should still taste good.
Moving almost on autopilot, Percy started making the pancakes while holding a steady conversation with Annabeth.
"I can't believe we're here," he said.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"Well, we're sitting in a kitchen in Avengers Tower making blue pancakes for our teammates. Doesn't that shock you?" Percy responded, waving around the spatula in his hand.
Annabeth smiled, "Not really. At least, not anymore. I'm actually kinda shocked that it's surprising to you. You're the one who basically everything in the world that could happen, happened to."
Percy thought about that. It wasn't wrong. He had just been holding out false hope that he was done; that they were done.
"I guess you're right. I just hate that you are," he sighed.
"Are you guys talking about our terribly unlucky lives?!" Leo shouted from the living room.
"Yep!" Percy answered.
He turned back to Annabeth and spoke in Greek, "We need to talk about when we're leaving."
"I know. We can't stay here. Camp needs us now that the mortal problem is over," Annabeth nodded.
Percy flipped a pancake like normal, but he had adopted his 'serious war-face', as Leo liked to call it. Even if they wanted to, the Seven could not stay at Avengers tower. They were meant to protect the world from monsters, not aliens. This was not their job.
"How are we going to break it to the team?" Percy asked.
"I don't know. The Seven knows we have to leave soon. They're just waiting for us to talk about it," she responded.
He had been moving on autopilot, and upon looking down, Percy realized that he had finished making the pancakes in the span of their conversation. That tended to happen with ADHD.
"We should probably leave tomorrow morning. The sooner, the better. Camp hasn't heard from us in weeks," he said, passing her a plate with two pancakes, syrup, and a fork.
"Thank you," she whispered, "And I agree. We have duties back at camp."
"So tomorrow?" Percy asked.
"Tomorrow." Annabeth confirmed.
Tony LITERALLY strutted into the kitchen and asked, "What's tomorrow? Got a hot date?"
Annabeth rolled her eyes, "We're dating, Tony. Remember?"
"Yeah, but you never know peoples' preferences, right?" he shrugged.
Before his girlfriend could punch the billionaire, Percy stepped in, "We're leaving tomorrow morning."
He had meant to tell the rest of the Seven first, but minimizing an Annabeth Explosion was more important. It had been a trying couple of days, to say the least, and Tony was the type of person to set her off in an instant.
"Why? I thought you were joining the team," Tony asked.
Percy laughed, "Yeah, no. We have better things to do."
He didn't MEAN for it to come out that way. Well, actually he did. But that wasn't the point. The POINT was that Tony was an overly-sensitive, middle-aged man, and he couldn't take anything that even seemed like a hit to his ego. Especially if it had something to do with being a hero, apparently.
"What could those better things be? Do you trust us enough to tell us?" Tony asked, voice a deadly calm, shocking the demigods.
"What's this about leaving?" Steve asked, leading the group of heroes into the kitchen area interrupting whatever answer Tony was about to receive.
Annabeth sighed, looking at Piper for help. If anyone could help diffuse a situation, it was the daughter of Aphrodite.
"Let's just calm down, everyone. We need to hear what Annabeth and Percy have to say before we make any rash comments," Piper said, pouring just a little amount of her powers into it.
"Thank you, Pipes. Like I was saying before, we are leaving tomorrow morning. All of us," Percy said, glancing at the rest of the Seven at the end.
"Are you sure about this? Why do you have to go?" Natasha asked, giving them her signature cold spy stare.
"We have duties to the gods. Our job is to protect the world from divine threats. You guys protect the world from extraterrestrial threats. Your bad guys come every so often, ours are always here," Annabeth answered.
If she was being honest with herself, the daughter of Athena wanted to stay. And maybe they could work something out where they helped out whenever the Avengers really needed it, but the demigods also had many other responsibilities. And they were born with those. They couldn't abandon them.
"Plus, it's pretty dangerous for us to be here all in one group, surrounded by technology," Jason added.
Natasha seemed to have found a good enough answer in that, so she just nodded and backed down.
"I hope we get to work together again someday," she said.
"That...almost sounded...NICE?!" Leo exclaimed, always one to break the tension.
Natasha fell back into her glare, "Don't get used to it."
"Wouldn't dream of it," he said, smiling.
"But even if we never see each other again, I hope you know that you're always gonna be a part of this team. If you need our help, we'll be there," Steve said, gaze landing on Percy.
Even if he denied it, Percy was the leader of the group. He was the one making the final decisions.
"And I hope you know the same offer comes from us," he responded.
The room was silent for a couple seconds, but that never lasts long with as many ADHD demigods in one room. Surprisingly, Hazel was the one to break the silence.
"Oh for gosh sake! Let's just eat!" she shouted, pulling a laugh from everyone.
Annabeth's eyes met Percy's over everyone else, and they shared one of their secret moments. They knew that this would not be the last time that the two teams were together. It was one of those feelings they got; kinda like when they somehow knew that their first prophecy would not be the last. They just knew.
But, for the moment, they would enjoy what they could get. It might be years until they were one team again. Plus, Leo was trying to see how many pancakes he could stuff his face with, effectively ending the precious moment.

Percy Jackson & The Avengers: Convergence - percy takes a test (which is never a good thing)
I am not dead, so there's that.
Hi Felix and Claire!
- your author
Ω ♆ Ω
If Annabeth was being honest, she understood the Avengers concerns about Percy. He hadn't really given them a reason to trust his control yet. It WAS understandable. However, she was also Percy's girlfriend, and that meant that she was ready to fight an army to defend him. That is how she found herself in this situation.
Ω ♆ Ω
"He needs to be contained!" Nick Fury shouted.
"NO! He hasn't done anything wrong! All of his actions were in self-defense!" Annabeth countered.
As soon as the team had gotten back to the tower, they had found Director Fury waiting for them in the living room. Based on the scowl adorning his face, Steve had decided that they had to jump right into the discussion about Percy. Better to get it over with, he'd said.
"Guys..." Percy sighed.
Everyone either didn't hear him, or they were ignoring him.
"He is a threat to the city. Hell, he's a threat to the world!" Fury said.
Jason's eyes crackled with lightning, "My cousin is no threat to your world. He SAVED it!"
"Multiple times!" Leo added.
"It doesn't matter how many times he's saved the world," Fury said, "It matters if he is stable enough to be out with regular society."
He had finally stopped yelling at them, and was instead speaking in an even scarier tone: calmly. It was deadly.
"Don't talk about him like he's any worse than any of your special projects," Annabeth gave Fury the full force of her death-glare, "If this were truly about stability, you would be a hypocrite; with your 'Avengers.'"
Tony gave an indignant squake-like sound at that, but everyone ignored him.
"Guys!" Percy finally yelled, standing up from his position slouched against a wall.
"This is my life you're debating here! And I feel like that gives me a vote!"
Annabeth's features softened for the first time that night, and were replaced with guilt, "I'm sorry, Seaweed Brain."
"It's fine, Wisegirl. What is NOT fine is Director Fury making orders without even telling everyone here the full truth. He KNOWS who I am, WHAT I am. That should be reason enough as to why I'm let go," Percy said.
Steve turned to glare at Fury, "What was that?"
Fury finally seemed to be coming to the conclusion that his plan to lock up Percy would not work when he said, "I know that Perseus and his team are demigods. I know more about their world than you ever should, Captain."
"Why were we not informed?" Clint asked, finally putting in his input.
"It was need-to-know, and you did NOT need to know."
Tony snorted into his glass of whiskey, "That's bullshit and you know it."
It kept going on like this for at least another ten minutes, or that's what Percy thought anyways. His ADHD often made time a jumbled mess, so it wouldn't be a shock if he was wrong. But it did go on for some length of time, that he was sure of. It went around and around and around and around...
Pretty annoying, actually.
What finally ended it was Percy shouted, "ENOUGH! I'LL JUST SHOW HIM A DEMONSTRATION OF MY CONTROL AND WE CAN BE DONE WITH ALL THIS SKATA!"
All eyes turned to him (which kinda freaked him out just for a second) simultaneously.
"Works for me," Fury commented and promptly walked out of the room, "I'll be in the pool room when you're ready, Mr. Jackson."
Ω ♆ Ω
Percy locked everyone out of the room. He walked straight into the pool room and proceeded to close the door on Annabeth's face. It wasn't about him not trusting the Avengers and the Seven, it was more about him not needing their anxiety and frustration distracting him. He was confident in his abilities, but it still helped to be around calm things.
Fury was waiting for him by the pool in all his ominous glory.
Absently, Percy wondered how he was able to hold that scowl in place all the time. It must get tiring eventually, right?
"Mr. Jackson! Are you just going to stand there all day?" Fury spoke, startling him out of his thoughts.
"No, sir. I'm just wondering what you want me to do," he answered.
Smooth, Jackson, he thought to himself.
Fury clearly saw through him, but he ignored it. "Lift the pool water up and split it in two, then freeze one half while lowering the other into the pool."
Percy scoffed, "Are you kidding me?!"
The Director's scowl somehow got deeper, and he said, "I don't kid, Mr. Jackson."
"Would you stop acting like you're better than me? I already have issues with authority, you don't need to make them worse, SIR," Percy snarked back.
He knew that it was a risk provoking Fury, but he couldn't help it. Like he said: he has issues with authority.
It didn't even work, though. Director Fury just held his gaze with an unimpressed look on his face.
Rolling his eyes, Percy sighed, "Fine. I can try to do it."
Fury smartly took a few steps back from the water's edge as Percy prepared himself. It wasn't like he didn't think he could do it. He just knew that it would be draining and annoying. Plus, he hated how new people looked at him after they saw what he could do, even if they'd already seen a display of power. That's mainly why he likes to visit his mom as much as possible. With all the new campers they've been getting, it was becoming increasingly harder to find a peaceful time to himself.
The tug in his gut was welcomed now; letting him know that he was still human. Even if the tug was significantly lesser now, it was still a reminder that he was not some all-powerful god that some people thought him to be. He had limits.
The water did not slowly rise. It instead jumped to obey his will. A week ago, that would have terrified him, but now he knew that it was just the product of his powers growing.
With the water about ten feet above their heads, still holding the shape of the pool, he split it into two bodies.
It was much easier than it used to be.
If he was going to successfully complete the next step, he had to split his focus as well. He found solace in the fact that this part was difficult for him. He gently started lowering the right side of water while he focused on the molecules in the left side. He may act stupid sometimes, but he knew his water facts. Usually, you lower the temperature in the air enough to force the water molecules to connect, but he just compelled the molecules to connect, causing it to freeze.
In his mind, the process lasted forever, but from an outsider point of view like Nick Fury's, it took about five seconds. It was impressive.
But Fury didn't let it show on his face. He hadn't truly believed that Percy would fail his test, but it was protocol to test him. He had to be absolutely sure. It was his instinct to be skeptical.
"Good. I see that my work here is done. Don't make me have to do this again, Mr. Jackson," he gave a nod to Percy before promptly leaving the room and probably the building.
Percy wasn't sure whether to be shocked or grateful that no further discussion had to be done. Spoiler alert: he chose to be grateful.
No need to look a gift horse in the mouth. Just one look at Blackjack's pearly whites and anyone would agree.
"That's all?" Annabeth asked, walking in with the rest of the heroes.
"Yep. I guess he just wanted to make sure," Percy answered.
"How come he trusts a teenager more than he trusts us?" Tony remarked.
Natasha spoke, "Because you're on our team."
"Nice," Tony deadpanned.
"You're welcome," she gave a minuscule grin.
Jason broke in, "Can we just go get some sleep now? It's been a long couple of days."
"I'm all for sleep," Piper added.
Steve smiled at the tea
Steve smiled at the team's new additions (even if they weren't aware of their induction yet), "Yes. Go get some sleep, team."

Percy Jackson & The Avengers: Convergence - filler chapters save lives
Hey...
- your (extremely sorry and depressed) author
Disclaimer: I don't own PJO or the Avengers.
Ω ♆ Ω
This was inevitable. Percy was a ball of nuclear energy just counting down to an explosion. It wasn't a matter of if that energy broke free, but a matter of when. The group had thought it had happened when he set off a tropical storm in the middle of Nevada, but they were wrong. He had truly lost control only moments before...
when he killed a man.
Ω ♆ Ω
Percy didn't even spare a glance at the crumpled body before he rushed to Annabeth's side. His eyes raked over her body, checking for injury. When he found none, he pulled her into him, hugging her like she was his lifeline (and she practically was).
"I'm sorry I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." he whispered in Ancient Greek over and over again in her ear, "I love you, I love you, I love you..."
Tears were slipping down both their cheeks, but they didn't move to wipe them away, likely neither of them had even realised they were crying. The couple was in their own world. One where only they existed and nobody could bother them.
It wasn't to last, though.
Someone on the team had to break the silence, and of course it was Tony, "As much as I hate to break this up, can we please get off this goddamned island now?"
He was speaking with false-sarcasticness, but nobody pointed it out. Everyone but Annabeth and Percy's eyes were on the body, or what was supposed to be one. Instead of a humanoid shape, it was a crumpled ball of bones, tissue, and blood. It was an awful sight, truly. Nothing was natural about it.
For everyone there, including the other demigods, it was eye-opening into the more blood-thirsty side of the divine world. Percy's powers were derived from the gods, and they allowed him to be able to do something like this. It was horrifying.
Ω ♆ Ω
Annabeth was the first of the two to come to her senses. She gently pushed back against Percy's embrace, signaling that it was time to come back to the real world; where they had to address what he had done. But that could wait. For now, Annabeth decided the best thing to do was to get everyone home safely.
"We should go, Percy," she whispered.
"I know. I'm scared, though," he spoke in Greek.
He did that sometimes, when he had a particularly bad PTSD episode. It was his mind's way of protecting itself. Even though he had spoken only English for the first twelve years of his life, his first language would always be Ancient Greek, just like all Greek demigods. It was the same for any type of demigod. They were born that way.
However, this wasn't an episode. This was his actions catching up to him. This was his world spinning on its axis once again.
Secretly, Annabeth had feared something like this would happen eventually. He was pushing down so much power, it was bound to break through at one point. That's why she had slowly been trying to coax him to use his powers fully again. Her theory was that the more he used them, the more control he would have on them, and the less they would be fighting against his willpower. He was a battery, and he needed to let some of the energy out every so often.
She would have to be more direct about her suspicions now. When they got home, that is. After he had time to adjust again.
It seemed like they were always adjusting now.
"I know, Seaweed Brain, I know. Let's just work on getting home, first, though. Ok?" she said.
She felt him nod against her neck before he pulled away from her, only to wrap an arm around shoulders a second later. He needed to feel her against him as a calming reassurance. And she needed him for the same reason.
They faced their team. Because that was what they were now, a team. They weren't the Seven and the Avengers anymore. They had been through too much in such a short span of time for them to be separate teams anymore.
"Let's go home," Annabeth announced, and started the trip back through the tunnel with Percy at her side, just like he would always be.
Ω ♆ Ω
Later, after Percy and Annabeth had disappeared into one of the cabins together, the rest of the team met up on the deck. Hazel would normally not like going behind their friend's backs to talk about them like this, but even she thought this meeting was important. This would decide Percy's fate once they reached the mainland again.
"Ok, who wants to start?" Hazel asked, after they had all just stood there in silence for a minute.
If nobody else was going to speak, then she was going to. She wanted this to be over as soon as possible. She had already made her decision regarding her cousin, and it would never change. That she was sure of.
"I can," Jason answered.
All eyes turned to him, but that did not phase him. He was trained to be a leader from a very young age. Having people look at him while he made speeches was part of the job description.
"I support my family, and Percy is family. What he did was horrible, obviously, but it wasn't anything the rest of us wouldn't have done in the same situation. He probably is going to punish himself more than anything else we could do to him. We need to show him that we are still his team, his family."
The rest of the demigods nodded firmly, agreeing with this. They knew Percy. They knew that what Jason had said was very true. Instead of punishing him, they needed to help show him that he was not a horrible person. Otherwise something like this would just happen again.
Time would just keep repeating itself.
The Avengers all glanced at one another, all unsure where to stand in this. Sure, they had learned a lot about the teen since they had first met, but none of them could be sure that this was just a fluke; that something like this wouldn't keep happening if they didn't do anything about it.
"How can we be sure that he won't do something like this again?" Natasha asked, a firm expression trained somehow on all five demigods present.
"We can't. But we CAN try our best to ensure that there is almost no chance. Percy has SO MUCH power, and he has been pushing it down in himself for months. That caused it to react harshly with his emotions. I'm sure Annabeth and Percy both know this. He needs help, not punishment," Piper answered, almost matching Nat's glare perfectly.
Steve spoke up next, "He killed someone, Piper. That can't go unpunished."
Piper kaleidoscope eyes seemed to flash brightly at the captain, "And you haven't killed someone, Captain? In the name of war? Love? How is what Percy did any different than you blowing up some hydra base?"
"That man down there is the best and most loyal man you'll ever meet. I can promise you that," Frank added in, "He would never do something to hurt a good person, not intentionally, just like the rest of us."
Bruce spoke up with fire, surprising everyone, "But that's exactly our point! He would never do something to hurt a good person INTENTIONALLY! But what about unintentionally?!"
Leo's nostrils flared, "You, out of everyone here, have no right to say that...Hulk."
Bruce looked like he had been slapped at first, but then his expression shifted into something resembling sheepishness.
Leo's flaming gaze (literally, his hair was smoking) passed over the rest of the Avengers, looking for any more objections. When he found none, he gave a curt nod of approval.
"I guess that's that, then, isn't it?" he said, and promptly went below deck.
Ω ♆ Ω
Percy and Annabeth were snuggled as close as possible on the bed in their cabin. Not a word beyond 'I love you' had been spoken between them yet. They just clutched onto each other like the other would disappear again any second.
Finally, after an hour had passed, Annabeth spoke, "We need to talk about it, Perce."
His head childishly shook. The sides of Annabeth's mouth lifted just a bit at the sign that her Percy wasn't completely hidden.
"I know it's hard, but we have to. You have to be ready to talk about it with the rest of the team later. They'll want answers, and I want you to be able to give them. It'll be easier with me first," she said, pushing a hand gently through his unruly raven-colored hair.
"You can answer in Greek if you have to. And you don't have to give long answers, you just have to say something," she reassured, "Does that sound ok?"
Percy took a deep breath before nodding his head.
"I'll start off simple. What are you feeling right now?" Annabeth asked.
He took a second to respond, but Annabeth was willing to give him all the time needed to form an answer, so long as he gave one.
"I'm tired. So tired, Wise Girl. My stomach hurts and I feel like my skin is on fire. But most of all, I feel like I don't even know myself anymore. I killed a mortal, Annabeth! How could I even look at myself again?" he answered in Greek.
Annabeth's heart broke just a little, "Oh, Percy. I know who you are. You are my adorable, powerful, and loving Seaweed Brain. You love your mother and blue food, and most of all, you love your purpose. You were put here to protect people, and that is what you did today. You protected me, okay? You didn't do anything that I wouldn't have done to save you. And I love you for it."
"But I KILLED a man, Annabeth! How can you even stand to look at me right now?!" he shouted, bursted out of her arms and off the bed.
Tears were starting to form on his lower eyelids.
"Because you are the love of my life, Perseus Jackson, and nothing you could ever do would make me love you less!" she shouted.
Good, Percy thought, Yell at me. Punish me for what I did. I deserve it.
As if she could read his thoughts, Annabeth yelled, "No! You do not get to manipulate me into punishing you for doing something that that horrible man deserved! You are not perfect, Percy, and neither am I. If you hadn't killed him, I probably would have! We are not perfect people, and we never will be. We're screwed up in the head, but we have each other! I will NOT let you go back into yourself."
"But that's the only way I can protect you! I have to hold it in!"
She sighed, "Percy, look at the facts. The only times you've put people in danger have been when you were holding your powers in. You need to let them out consistently in order to stop these large bursts from happening every time you get pissed off!"
Percy was silent, staring at the floor and mulling over her words. When he looked up, a tear had slipped down his cheek, "What if I'm too scared?"
"I'll help you. We all will, Perce. The entire team wants you to feel comfortable using your abilities. We can start off with taking you to some uninhabitable island or something. You just need to make sure you aren't pushing your powers down anymore," Annabeth answered, "Okay? Can you promise me you'll try?"
Reluctantly, Percy nodded, "I swear on the River Styx that I'll try to control and understand my powers."
Annabeth's eyes widened, but then she was crushing Percy in a hug, pulling back only to kiss him.
"I love you, Seaweed Brain."
"I love you, Wise Girl."
Ω ♆ Ω
"Well I guess that settles it then, doesn't it? We trust those ungrateful ingrates now apparently," Tony sighed, tacking a swig from a flask he had procured from somewhere and walking away from the Avengers.
You could always count on Tony Stark to simplify emotional situations. His only goal was to make them last less, though, whereas most of the Avengers wanted to talk it over some more. That wasn't on his agenda. Tony had his own agenda and discussing whether or not a teenager killing a terrorist was warrant for serious punishment was not on it.
Steve shared an annoyed look with Bruce before he nodded, "I guess it is. We'll have to discuss it with Percy when we get back to the tower, but for now, let's just get some rest."
"Yes, sir, Captain," Clint smirked, mirth flashing in his irises before he pulled Natasha over to lean against the railing around the deck.
They were no-doubt not going to let themselves get any rest, but Steve knew well enough by now to let it go. The spies ran on their own fuel and it clearly did not come from sleep, if the amount of times he'd actually seen them asleep counted for anything.
Bruce however, he could count on to actually follow orders, even if they were thinly-veiled ones. The scientist nodded his head at Steve, a small smile curving his lips, before he went below deck, likely to find a nice place to take a nap.
Steve, not wanting to seem like a hypocrite, followed after Bruce. He found an empty cabin quickly, and let himself fall into a light nap. If he had to, he could jump right into action, but he had to let his body get some rest.
He only hoped that the teens on board were doing the same.
Ω ♆ Ω
Steve was right, for the most part. Almost all of the Seven were resting. Key word: almost. Leo Valdez, ever the hyperactive inventor, was down in his makeshift shop, working on the design for his newest project.
The idea had come to him that day, when he saw how broken Percy looked. He had seen that look in his eyes before, right after the man had come out of Tartarus and he was determined to never see it cross his friend's face again. After everything Percy had done for him, Leo thought he deserved some peace of mind.
His idea was to design something to allow Percy to sleep peacefully. Something like this could help present and future generations of demigods forever. But if he was being honest, he had gotten the idea from the dreamless-sleep draught potion from Harry Potter. Before he had learned he was a demigod, he was a diehard potterhead. It was something he had managed to keep a secret from his new life for now, but it was coming in handy now.
Since he didn't have magic abilities like the wizards from the books, he had to compromise with what he DID have, which was a genius-level intellect, spare scrap metal, and some duct tape.
He had come up with more from less.
Leo figured that he could make a contraption that could connect with Percy's brain synapses and withhold some from firing, but only the ones in the hippocampus, the part of the brain that controls dreams. He also had to restrict it to nightmares only, because demigods needed dreams to make sure they didn't die. He just had to make sure he didn't accidentally cause Percy permanent brain damage. This particular part of the brain was vital in his daily function, so it would really suck if it stopped working properly.
At the moment, Leo was drawing out his designs on some paper he had pulled from his belt. His mind was working faster than his hand could, so it was taking longer than he would have preferred.
After an hour of careful and deliberate strokes of a pencil hitting paper, his head popped up from the desk, with a loud shout of "aha!", signalling his completion.
"Gods, I really am a genius, aren't I?" he muttered to himself in awe had he inspected the blueprint for mistakes.
"Talking to yourself again, Leo?" Jason commented, startling Leo as he entered the room, "That's not helping your case claiming sanity."
"Sweet Circe! Don't DO that, Sparky!" he shouted, nearly jumping out of his seat.
"If you were paying attention, you would have noticed me knocking on the door for the past two minutes, weirdo," Jason responded.
Leo rolled his eyes. His best friend knew very well that he lost himself when he was working, especially when it was something this important.
"What are you working on?" The son of Jupiter asked.
Leo grinned, eager to present his project, "I can't build it here, not without the proper equipment to test it, but I already designed it. I call it Papa Leo's Nightmare-restricting Device, or P.L.N.R.D. It's to make it so demigods can sleep without having nightmares. Like it?"
The son of Hephaestus wished he had a camera to take a picture of Jason's face at that moment. It was priceless.
Just when he was contemplating trying to pull on out of his belt, Jason pulled him into a rough hug, squeezing him until he couldn't breathe.
"Jace, I. Can't. Breathe!" he wheezed out.
He was ignored.
"Oh, you beautiful genius! I could kiss you!"
He was spun around in a circle.
"Please don't, it would suck to explain that to Piper," Leo joked once he had been allowed to stand again.
"I gotta tell the others! They're gonna be so excited!" he went to rush off, but Leo grabbed his arm before he could.
"Let's not...yet, okay? I just want to make sure that I get it finished and working before I tell the others. I don't want to let them down if I can't make it work," he said to explain his actions.
Jason looked like he didn't believe that would ever happen, but he gave Leo a brotherly pat on the shoulder, "Ok, McShizzle. I'll keep it to myself for now."
"Thanks."
"No problem, bro."
"Gods, you are such a bro-boy. It's like living around a frat house."
"You take that back!"
"Never!"

So! You read my fanfiction, huh? And enjoy it? Weirdo...
But I guess it helped motivate me to write again so whatever. I needed some reason to keep writing and the fact that I was just leaving my writers on a cliffhanger kept me going. So, I will have a new chapter up in the next 24 hours. I know that's kinda vague but idc. Now enjoy it or whatever.

I know this is a weird thought, but does anyone think that the Wizarding world created a way to hide bra straps while wearing a spaghetti strap top or a halter? Like, a witch has to have gotten sick of it and discovered a way to do it at some point right?

Percy Jackson & The Avengers: Convergence - basically just percy bloodbending
I'm back but not really cuz I haven't even started chapter 14, so just be prepared for another long time between chapters. I might get a fire started under my ass, but if not, yeah. I hope this holds you over.
I really shouldn't have to do this again, but I guess some people are just blind idiots. I'm going to put this in the simplest terms possible: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. It's grade school 101 guys. The more of these mean attacks I receive, the less I want to write, so just shut up and leave if you don't like my writing. You aren't being forced to read it. Thank you.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own PJO or the Avengers!
Ω ♆ Ω
In hindsight, Percy might've overreacted a tiny bit. Just a small amount, though! What he did was perfectly reasonable, if just a little on the cuckoo side.
Now, most would probably be wondering what the Hades Percy was talking about. Well, it all started with Percy's vision tunneling in on the image of Annabeth with a gun to her temple. That image alone was reason enough.
Percy's entire life had been morally grey, so what was another thing added to his conscience?
Ω ♆ Ω
Despite her past experiences, Annabeth was actually quite scared. Terrified, even. She had a gun pressed up against her head, of course she was terrified! But she couldn't let it show. That would be giving the leader what he wanted, and she was not willing to give him the satisfaction of accomplishing his goal. So, she stood stubbornly stoic, even as her mind was struggling to find a way out of this predicament she had found herself in.
Sure, Annabeth could probably get out of the chokehold he had her in, but then what? Maybe she'd be able to fight the gun out of his hand, but then he'd still have the other gun she felt strapped to his ankle. It was a no-win situation.
Her only viable chance was to wait it out and hope for the perfect moment to get away and regroup. That moment didn't seem to be coming soon, though. All the two had done so far was watch the rest of the Seven and the Avengers fight monsters and mortals alike. The leader hadn't done a single thing to help. It was like he expected them to lose. After learning how cunning and sick the man was, Annabeth wouldn't be surprised if he did.
That was all her mind was able to figure out while they had been watching the fights unfold. She felt a proud sort of squeeze in her heart at how hard her friends were fighting to get her.
And Percy...Percy was so determined. He had been forcing himself through the throngs of monsters and humans to get to her, and he was making great progress. Unfortunately, she wasn't the only one to have noticed. The leader had tightened his hold on her when he saw that Percy was only ten feet away now. The Avengers and demigods were just finishing up their fights, as well. The timing was too perfect.
Annabeth felt her stomach drop, a warning that something horrible was about to happen, and she was powerless to stop it.
"Not a step closer! Or I'll shoot her right now!" The leader growled, shoving the gun roughly into her skull.
Percy stopped in his tracks, a dark glare overtaking his features.
"Let her go. Now, and I might let you walk away from this," he said.
His blood was boiling. There was no way he was letting anything happen to Annabeth. He would do anything, including killing that man. He could focus on what that admission meant to himself later, when he wasn't in a life-or-death situation. But for now, he was just letting the rage fuel him.
Percy could feel the storm buzzing under his skin, awaiting permission to wreak havoc. He couldn't do that again, though. He had to find another way. He would not get as lucky as he had in Vegas again.
"I'll say it again, let. Annabeth. Go. Now!" His eyes glowed a dark, poisonous green.
The scene was terribly familiar to Annabeth. Her eyes widened in fear of what was to come.
Percy's senses had found something else in the room. He wasn't sure what it was at first, but with a jolt, he realised what it was: Blood. He could feel everyone's blood pumping through their veins. It was overwhelming how ready it seemed to be for his manipulation. He supposed it was yet another hidden aspect of his powers. Blood manipulation; that wasn't horrifying at all. It was just above toxikinesis on his horrifying abilities list. It could be useful, though. Instead of releasing the storm on the leader, he could manipulate his limbs through his blood.
All of these thoughts ran through his brain in a matter of seconds. He came to his decision on what he was willing to do even faster.
"I won't ask again," he said, a final warning note in his tone.
The leader grinned maniacally at the teen, "I'm not afraid of you. You don't kill humans, you just let us be collateral damage in your battles against the monsters. Killing me would go against everything you're taught!"
Percy's glare hardened even moreso, "You're right. It would go against some things I've been taught. But not killing you would go against my very nature. And that is much harder to defy..."
The leader's eyes widened in fear, and his finger squeezed the trigger.
Time slowed down. Annabeth heard a small click in her ear.
Percy's hand flung out towards her with a shout, "Annabeth!"
Bones crunched.Blood flew out. A body fell to the ground in a heap.
It wasn't Annabeth.

Yes, I am aware of how short this was. No, I am not willing to answer why.
