A lot of people travel to the city when they aim to feel a part of something. How can you feel alone with an abundance of people around you? But these people are nothing but strangers. No one ever talks of how lonely it can feel to be surrounded by people but feel like you're on your own.

Too often do I find myself feeling too much for people. Too loud/too quiet. Too opinionated/too passive. Too insecure/too confident. Always one extreme to the other; never neutral. I wish I could feel things like the average person, but everything I feel is strong and sharp. My skin is made of paper and my heart of glass.

Whatever you do, never slim yourself down to fit another persons idea of 'perfect'. In fact, never slim yourself down no matter what. Be big and bright and boisterous. Never let other people's toxicity poison you. Truth is, some people get a thrill from destroying people. They love to build people up just to send them crashing back down. Never let these people ruin your positivity - this is what they want. Be so full of light that you attract nothing but positivity and happiness. Sit on your favourite patch of grass in the garden and do nothing but feel the wind breeze past you. Feel the warmth of the sunshine soak into your skin. Remember who you are, and never lose that feeling.

I watch as businessmen and women briskly pass by in suits. I watch as the birds sing and the trees dance to the sound of the wind. I watch as a young couple sit laughing to each other. It all seems so simple, yet so complicated.Why do we continue to go through daily life knowing full well what life has in store for us? We live to die. What is the point in all this? Well, the point isn't the end. The point is in the stars. The moon. A good book. A cold drink on a hot day. The way she smiles. The crisp, fresh air on an early Autumn morning. If you live your life fixated on the end, are you even living at all?

Wake up. Tap the wall 5 times. Just 3 more, 8 is the perfect number. It doesn't feel perfect.

Did you lock the door? Check again. One more time. One last time - I promise. It's never the last time.

Avoid the cracks. Don't step too far to the side. Flick the light switch 8 times, And everything will be okay. It doesn't feel okay.

Go to bed. Turn over the pillow 5 times. Just 3 more, 8 is the perfect number. It doesn't feel perfect.

It's easy to stick around for the nice, clean, happy times with someone, but just as easy to run as soon as things became difficult. Don’t settle for someone who only accepts one part of you. Human beings are made up of an abundance of emotions - some colourful, some dark. That's what makes loving someone so special. You get to know every aspect and thought someone is made up of, even the bad ones, and you still don't give up on them. It’s not real if they only love you at your best. They don’t deserve you.

Other people's actions say more about them than about you. Someone who is truly content with themselves would never recieve satisfaction from putting other people down. You can't control other people's negative actions, but you can ensure you have a positive mindset and outlook, radiating good vibes to the people around you. Never let anyone dull your flame. You are made of hard steel - nothing and no-one can break you. Be your own hero and save yourself, because it's not anyone else's responsibility to do it for you. Sometimes, good things have to end for even better ones to arise. It might seem like you are losing the main source of your happiness, as if life is meaningless without that one thing. It may feel like the light of your life has disappeared, almost at the click of a switch. These are just feelings. Feelings aren't always logical. Many times, feelings get in the way of doing what's actually best for you. Who knows, maybe in time you will realise the good thing you lost wasn't actually so good after all.

Everything is connected. One tiny, seemingly unimportant decision can lead to the best thing that will ever happen to you, or the worst. Even the most meaningless, pointless aspects of life play a huge part in where you will end up. If you think about it, everything has meaning. Everyone you meet comes into your life for a reason, whether it's to impact your life or theirs.

One day everything we’ve accomplished and built will go up in smoke and disappear in to dust. The little things are what makes life so special, yet people are too distracted by the negative to even notice them. Even something as simple as the stars and the moon lighting up the sky is so unique and magnificent. No-one knows for sure how earth was created, yet we all get on with life anyway. That's the true beauty of life - there are so many questions that can't be answered. It keeps us interested. Life truly is the beauty of the unknown.

No matter how much you feel the world falling apart around you, the sun will still rise. The moon will still shine. The universe will still hold the stars. You are a human being with a beating heart, and for that alone you are important. You are worth everything. Without you, the world would be completely different. Your existence impacts people around you more than you could ever know. You matter.
