More old art reposts, because I feel its off-topic enough to post here since I need somewhere new to post and don’t just draw Scooby-Doo constantly.

So long stupid story for this character: some unspecified years ago, I can’t remember exactly I was between the ages of 10-13, somewhere in there so 2010-2013 I wanted to make a character who was a slasher, but was unfamiliar with things like gore properly at the time.

So instead of trying to design my own character I made a rip off Michael Myers, down to the mask. I believe I drew a single shitty image of him in a sketchbook, and it was JUST the mask(not even a head or anything) with squiggly hair. I thought “I can’t just have rip off Michael Mysters, I have to make it different” so I came up with the idea to make his hair blue because I had been referencing art from blue haired anime men at the time.

I didn’t draw him for YEARS. That was the only image that exist of blue-hair Michael Myers rip off. Then sometime in 2018 I got into Slasher art, especially on tumblr where I saw a lot of peoples OCS. I remember seeing a trend of teenager boy flashes. I wanted to make my own slasher OC but the closest I had at the time was old Creepy Pasta OCS which really didn’t fit the handle. Then suddenly, I remembered my blue haired Michael Myers rip off! I could finally do something with him and make it original! remake him and make him good! I never actually sat down to draw it, because I had way too many ideas, but Blue-haired-Michael-Myers was going to just be redrawn as a Slasher is overalls but with a filthy blood/dirt stained mask, and a blue scraggly wig. THEN I had the idea to make him younger, because all the slasher OCS I saw on tumblr were young teen boys. So the next idea was for him to be a skinnier, scraggly teen boy, much younger than before. With the same mask, but cleaner. I played around with the idea it would be a wig but settled on it being his own hair, that was dyed blue.

Then I tried to come up with a story line for him, but by that time I was kinda bored and done with Slashers as a whole. I ended up toning his story down to where he was a slasher, but had trauma. And then to where he was a slasher, but it was an accident that he killed someone. He became younger and younger, until he was a 12yr old child. I debated keeping him a slasher, but he kept getting younger and more innocent and more incapable of being a proper murdering slasher. So at that point, I dropped the slasher plot line entirely.

He eventually got the moniker of “Blue Boy”. I kept the story line about him being abused and having (possibly) killed someone by accident, but he was a small child with no real malicious intent.

Anyways, what’s the point of this story?

Has anyone heard of SALLY FACE? It’s a game. One of my friends helpfully pointed out Blue Boy looks identical to SF and they are right and its horribly annoying because every time I have drawn him someone has asked me “Is that Sally Face?” it is not.

So now I’m left to wonder if I should change his hair color. I know you can’t copy right blue haired anime boys wearing masks but the resemblance is undeniable and its annoying. But if I change his hair color I can’t call him “blue boy” anymore and I really feel blue WAS his color. But I hate how much he looks like SF. His hair isn’t even naturally blue.

I’m thinking of having it changed to pink or green in his teenage years because I really like that color scheme but again, it kinda ruins him :/ ah well.

Does anybody remember when I posted Slasher art here? I did a while ago, I think in 2020 and 2021, maybe. I posted art of a character called “Slasher Wolf” I drew at a time when I was very depressed and mentally unwell. I don’t really draw him anymore for various reasons, but he was fun and I liked his design.

I had other characters I called “Slasher Characters” most of which were basically just bootleg weird animal versions of actual slashers I just drew when I was bored or depressed. This is the only one who wasn’t really directly based off anything. I don’t remember her name, she was just called “The Bunny Slasher”.

She’s a white rabbit / hare, is rather large for a rabbit. She kills male rabbits and keeps their feet, at least the animal version of her. Thought I’d repost it here since it looks good! Drawn Saturday, ‎September ‎12, ‎2020

TW: vent abuse whatever

Today has been really fucking bad. I’ve been suicidal all fucking week because its approaching the anniversary of my cat dying. The same cat that I chose not to kill myself for over the years.

I cried a lot today and my dad comforted me. I felt better until my mother, who’s been abusing me my entire life started fucking with me again.

Now I want to commit suicide even more. I need to go find something to distract myself because I haven’t felt this low since I went looking for my dads gun back in April when I was planning to commit suicide.

I don’t want to feel compulsed by the knives in my room to cut myself. I’ve never felt more alone before. There’s no one to talk to.

I wish I was fucking dead.

Some more Scooby-Doo throawback art! And some extremely old art to boot lol. This is my first Scooby-Doo OC, that isn’t directly related to the main gang, since most of my current OCS are of some direct relation.

Meet Jay! The first image was drawn ‎June ‎13, ‎2011. I was only 10 when I drew it! How time flies. For some reason, his name was Abasi. According to the original description of the image, he wasn’t even a Scooby-Doo character, but because he was a great dane I decided to make him one apparently lol. His name was Abasi for some reason. That might literally be something in Swahili, which would make sense because I drew nothing but Lion King lions back then.

I...don’t know why I assumed Abasi would be a good name for a Scooby-Doo dog but whatever. He was Scooby-Doo’s brother in that image.

Second image was drawn ‎September ‎02, ‎2012. So a little bit over a year later. This was when he was first renamed to Jay. Still more in line with the SD style. Now sporting his own Scooby-Doo collar! It reads “Jay” though. I really like how he looks in this style; I think he looks rather cute, innocent and dippy. It also reminds me of the later style I used in my “Pool party” and “Scooby and Amber’s puppies” image.

The third image was drawn on December ‎08, ‎2012. This one was referenced directly from Clipart of Scooby-Doo himself. Maybe I can find it sometime and redraw it LOL. This one looks...rather terrible  I remember being really happy with it at the time as it was the closest I was able to get to SD style at the time. I’m still kinda happy with it LOL! It was a land mark for me of learning a different style. Return of the one sided whiskers! I couldn’t ever get SD’s eyes close enough together without looking weird, and I still can’t :’)

Annnnddd the fourth and last image was drawn on ‎December ‎23, ‎2012. Featuring his own, Casandra, who is a literal recolor. And by literal recolor, I mean the first image I ever did of her I traced a screenshot of Daphne and used it to get a color palette down. I never posted it online though lol and I still have it. Even her appearance is still a hodge-podge of the other gang members for some reason. Casandra is literally blonde Daphne, with the smarts of Velma(and Freddy’s hair, now that I think of it) she’s wearing the Ankh necklace from Scooby-Doo In Where’s My Mummy. Maybe not the SAME one but a Ankh necklace because I was obsessed with Egyptian culture at the time. I believe she also ate a lot of food like Shaggy lmao. What a mess!

The letter she is holding is the same one from Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! Season 1, episode 2 "Hassle in the Castle". I think the photo on the wall is well....

Her backstory was she was a die-hard fan-girl of the gang and wanted to join them. She also owned Jay, who was changed to be Scooby-Doo’s cousin rather than brother at some point. She would solve a few mysteries herself, but would mostly wander around and get lost as she was kinda dense. She was well meaning but would walk into a clearly marked chasm if someone didn’t stop her. Jay wasn’t much better, outside of having a exceptional sense of smell. I remember her favorite SD member was Shaggy, who she hung out with sometimes. It’s strange, if I had made her today I’d probably had considered them a couple, but Shaggy and her never were a couple lol. I just wanted to draw them being freinds!

I definitely need to remake them sometime! I think I’ll make Jay a realllllllllllllllllllly distant cousin of Scooby. Or maybe just a fan-boy! He looks like he could maybe be Scooby-Dee’s son with someone. But that would just be another bright-eyed-nephew to look up to Scooby. I’ll probably change him to be unrelated.

Ayyyy look what I found! I found this EXTREMELY old drawing of Scrappy-doo on my computer and decided to upload a comparison pic with my newest Scrappy drawing!

That first image was drawn Wednesday, ‎December ‎12, ‎2012. I was only 12 when I drew it! It’s really bad lol. There’s so many things wrong with it. I don’t think its even in SD style. It’s like...halfway between. I remember being so bewildered and literally unable to understand the SD art style so I just tried to make it myself and go half way.

A bullet point of things wrong with it, because it makes me laugh

Visible nails: Scooby-Doo dogs typically don’t have them

Colored iris. Scooby-Doo dogs usually just have a solid black iris/pupil, very cartoonish. They’re also...blue of all colors. I’d think if Scooby and Scrappy had colored eyes, they’d be brown.

No inside ear coloring; Scrappy and Scooby-doo have peachish pink on the insides of their ears.

Whiskers only on one side of the nose, also SD doesn’t have muzzle whiskers only chin whiskers.

I remember seeing the cartoon with him as a child only once, and then for years I assumed I imagined he existed like some mandela effect thing xD until I saw someone mention him on DeviantART and I was proven to NOT have imagined Scooby had a white cowboy brother lol
