An excerpt about the Falling Red Curtain, from my story Colonial History. This gruesome plague was caused by an airborne alien fungus that infected people who breathed it in. It was not lethal to the Minare, Earth's animals or plant, but Humanity was so effected that a massive percentage perished within a short period. The research results however, has turned out little to nothing of use, which made the colonel decide to initiate an operation to loot the downed alien ship. The image in the background is supposed to be a classified research photo of an autopsy on one of the aliens without their suit. This would later prove to be disastrous for the colonel and many of the men under his command. The Seeks look for the most desperate and disillusioned of society to use as volunteers to help repair the Minare spaceship in secrecy. The recruiting campaign wasn't without a few hiccups though. In this literary universe, this copy was out of a printed set that accidentally had the design partially cover their application website's address, 'cultivat.com'. An excerpt introducing the Seekers cultist look from my story Colonial History. We first see how Seeker security and leadership [respectively] look when they infiltrate the Minare spaceship with AUER Club, to speak to the alien crew. The security personnel do provide protection for the cult and their assets, but they are also utilized for ̶s̶p̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ surveying and assessment. On the ship, they take photo records and note down layout and signs of possible damage, to later show the cult's science engineers for possible repair solutions. Save for certain details, like the wrong type of pith helmet and the fez that I had to personally add for accuracy, the AI-art generator was remarkably close to what I had in mind for how it all appeared in my head. Spoopy. The logo and official motto of Amateur UFO and ET Researchers (AUER) Club, plus their unofficial motto, from my story Colonial History. I made this design of the UFO and official motto to reflect just how small-time the members are. Reading this part of the story, you find they wanted to be taken seriously, but in reality they're ordinary folks squeaking by in life. I added the "unofficial motto" at the bottom just for this post to show what they really do most of the time, instead of actually looking for aliens.
