Once I tried to put
Out a fire with pine needles
This feels just like that

Looking back I realize that no one was ever really there for me. No one stayed after my graduation, no one came to wish me luck in college. No one meets me for lunch, no one waves to me in the hallway. Yet people ask me, “why do you want to leave?” “Isnt this all you know?”. And I answer, “because I want to.” And I think to myself, if no one was ever really there, then doesn’t that mean I was meant to leave. I mean, there is nothing for me here, and there never has been.
-it’s quite lonesome really
And I could probably write this better, and make my words feel like the colors changing with the seasons. Make them impactful like a hail storm that hits to close to home. But if I did that, they wouldn’t be my words. They would be yours too.

Poem #80
Rushing, surging, pressing forward. Locks loom in the distance but I don’t know how to stop.

First time your child learned to speak, when you looked into the eyes of your love, when you achieved your dreams. We experience so many such moments in life when our feelings can't be expressed. And those moments stay deep in our core forever❤💞

Paint Chip Women III.
Sweet Juliet
Oh what did they say to you
to make you act this way
you used to be so sweet, Juliet
Now look what you’ve gone and done
perhaps when you were small
they made you skin your knee
they told you something hurtful
or made you think bad things
did they say something about your dress?
your hair?
the way you walk?
Look what you’ve gone and done, Juliet
I’m so proud of you

Love wasn’t designed for someone like me
As I move from one strange bed to another
Spending as much of my free time as possible
Tangled in unfamiliar sheets
That smell like unfamiliar smells
While a new set of lips trace my own
So i don’t have to face the pieces
Of my broken heart
Or the idea that I might end up alone

The moon hid in the clouded skies
As it refused to watch the darkened white crusade
That uttered psalms and spilled its tears
In hope that god may bring forth drought.

This is one more piece of advice I have for you: don't get impatient. Even if things are so tangled up you can't do anything, don't get desperate or blow a fuse and start yanking on one particular thread before it's ready to come undone. You have to figure it's going to be a long process and that you'll work on things slowly, one at a time.
— Haruki Murakami, Norwegian Wood

Caring was not enough. In that spit moment, the real message was shown to me. It felt like I was froze for an entire day. When I slowly start to see sun, my eyes wanted me to see all this sadness. But it is wrong because my heart has once again found the way to self loving and caring. Being a better me than I was before.

I don't recall a single care / Just greenery and humid air / Then Labor Day came and went / And we shed what was left of our summer skin / On the night you left I came over / And we peeled the freckles from our shoulders / Our brand new coats so flushed and pink / And I knew your heart I couldn't win

But when something good happens to me, I am trying to keep it. For as long as it cares my heart so deeply. Lovingly. Not letting it hurt me, I am taking care of it so protective. What I want, the best happiness for me, and this amazing thing that is happening to me. This happiness is what I have been searching for, for so long. I do not want to let it go now.
