Done with the first two weeks of university and it has been great even though I already have a million things I need to do

i think maybe sometimes the movies and the books romanticise heartbreak. all those characters cry and they stuff their faces with buckets of ice-cream, and then when it’s all over they get a second chance or they get over it real quick and fall in love again. but is that what heartbreak really is? i would say no. 

heartbreak is still feeling the pain even years from now. heartbreak is knowing that no one will really understand your pain because every heartbreak is different and hurts in its own way. heartbreak is feeling your heart sink when you see the most random things that remind you of them when you’re just trying to go about your day. heartbreak is the regret you feel, for the things you could’ve done and the words you could’ve said. heartbreak is crying under the covers late at night, knowing that things will never be the same again. heartbreak is waking up too early in the morning because it hurts to know that you can’t change the past.

heartbreak is hoping that maybe, just maybe, it could be just as easy as it is in the books and in the movies.
