Happy New Year!

So... I've been taking notes of my favourite LuNa moments (and my over-analysing of them in the show) as we're doing the re-watch of the anime and y'all need to indulge me. It's the shame spiral in full force.

I only really started taking notes from the end of Little Garden arc. I think I'll do them by arc. So, here goes nothing..

Little Garden Arc

Episode 77: Nami worries they won't make it out of the giant goldfish and tells Luffy this isn't like what happened with Laboon. Luffy tells her, "I know. Calm down. Here, I'll let you have the last rice cracker." :)

Like Lord, bless him. It's like he doesn't know how to calm anybody down except to give them food. BUT the thing is... SHE EATS THE RICE CRACKER while fearing for their lives lol

I thought about this before... And with the heartbreaking news that there won't be a Shadow and Bone Season 3 just made this thought resurface for me again...

If Six of Crows was the first cab off the rank to introduce the Grishaverse to the non-reading world... would we be where we are now (i.e. cancelled, fans mourning, wolves howling)?

I don't know... For me, I have always felt that while S&B provides the context and the introduction to the Grishaverse, Six of Crows (and Crooked Kingdom) have always been the stronger texts. Just sayin'...

I started watching the "Episode of Chopper: Bloom in the Winter, Miracle Sakura" last night and I pointed out to my husband while he walked past the living room that:

1. Vivi wasn't in this one and that it's the full crew (minus Brook) and that they had the Thousand Sunny instead of Going Merry.

2. Luffy pleaded to the people of Drum Island on his own after being fired at. (Hubby said "this shows growth on Luffy's part, no?" To which I said, "okay")

3. Luffy slap!wakes Nami up a lot gentler in this than the anime and I thought it was hella cute that they changed that bit. (Hubby lol'ed)

And then he tells me that if/when we ever watch Red, that I should give Uta/Luffy a chance - that I might really like them together.

I love my husband and I feel blessed that I have him in my life but I pointed out to him that that's not how shipping ships work.

Major disclaimer that I don't have anything against other people shipping Uta/Luffy. To each their own.

YASSSSS! Talk about canon - we get this across the manga, anime AND the live action ❤️🧡

Honestly, I love how, in LuNa fanarts, the artists seem to always remember Buggy's three cuts on the hat, that were fixed by Nami.

It's a detail I don't see being brought up much, even by the shippers. The fact that one day within meeting her, Luffy already allowed her to hold and fix his hat; and the fact Nami had offered to do this nice thing for a pirate in the first place.

It's not a detail that is mentioned or revisited again and again, but it is a detail that the shippers (or simply fans of both characters, really) appreciate and hold dear in this subtle way: by silently depicting it in fanarts ❤️🧡

WARNING: Contains One Piece spoilers (or not, if you're up to date).

First time talking about One Piece on Tumblr. Second time re-watching. The first time I watched OP was from the persuasions of my then boyfriend (now husband). I absolutely fell in love with it on the get go but I stopped watching just after the Summit War Saga because like Luffy, I couldn't deal with Ace's death. So I took a long hiatus.

Many years later, it took some push and convincing to watch the Live Action on Netflix but eventually we both gave in. And the LA re-kindled the fire I didn't ever think I'd want re-lit.

So we have decided to do a full re-watch and now I am obsessed. We're currently re-watching Episode 282 (Enies Lobby arc) (and probably a few more episodes by the time I finish typing all of this), I purchased the first box set of the manga and am currently on Volume 6, and because I spiral, here I am, to my one source of endless ship material, Tumblr.

I didn't ship any couples the first time I watched OP but now I am obsessed with Luffy and Nami becoming OTP. My husband says I am over-analysing everything and that I should stop. To which I say, I can't! LOL

And I love the bromance between Zoro and Chopper haha - it's so kawaii!

Since I need an outlet to channel my thoughts and crazy theories and/or observations as I go through the anime AND the manga, I'll be here scribbling away.
