Starting New Projects

Hello, Travelers! It's Grimm (they/she), and as the title suggests, I'm starting some projects. Both are passion projects of mine. Project. K is about a group of beings protecting a realm called Veridor. The other is Project.Abyss is inspired by Hazbin Hotel, one of my favorite shows. Currently, I'm working on the characters for both stories as well as the worldbuilding. Hopefully, I can get some stuff out soon.

In Creative Slump

Hello, my name is Grimm and as you can tell from the title...I'm in a slump. Throughout the past weeks, my creativity has dried up. It's mainly because the amount of revamping I've been doing on all of my projects (as I always want to improve on my writing skills and worldbuliding). But, being a perfectionist has ultimately been the reason the why this account has been inactive for months at a time. Can anyone give me any tips on dealing with writer's block? If so, it would much appreciated.

Lore Overview: Grimm the Scribe Reaper

Grimm (they/she) is the persona I use online and one of the first original characters I've made. They've been the mascot for this Tumblr since May of 2023! But, I'm here to tell y'all the lore behind Grimm and their connections to other characters. So, let's begin!

Grimm "Belle" Belladonna came from a long line of lower class nobles in her Waking Life. Unfortunately, she died from a plague that spread throughout her hometown. After their death, they awoke in the Underworld, scared and confused. Luckily, Belle met [•???•] and the two quickly became friends, and later developed a sibling bond. In the afterlife, Belle got a job at Mystics Incorporated where she earned the title of "Grimm" based off the nature of her work as a Scribe Reaper.

Now, Grimm lives in a gothic cottage in the Whispering Woods with her beloved black cat, Salem, writing tales in their book with an enternal inkwell.

A Retrospective: ZSNL

Hello, Travelers! It's Grimm (they/she), and today I want to reflect on my old project as well as give more context on why ZSNL is ending abruptly. Zenith Skies, Nadir Lows was a story I made when I was 7 years old. The story has gone through this cycle for years now, which I like to call "Create then Forget". It's a term I've made to describe having passion for a story, project, etc. then forgetting about it because another project was more interesting. To be honest, ZSNL wasn't giving me any sense of creative passion anymore (as it has been going on for years now). Which is why I'm moving my focus on "Tales of Veridor", a project that was made in April of 2023, which gives me more joy. Hope this explains the ending of ZSNL. If y'all have any questions, comment them down below. I'll try to answer them as quickly as possible. Hope y'all have a good rest of your week!

{Pronunciation: Mel - lee - noi}

Melinoe Vestinus (she/her), who mainly goes by Mel, is the sister of Janus and Keres Vestinus. She came along after Keres and is the youngest of the three siblings (at age 18 in human yrs). Mel and Keres are complete opposite. While Keres represents depression, Melinoe symbolizes the joy that's in the world. She's a cisgender female, questioning, Samoan, and a Light Demon. Currently, she lives in the Demon King's Mansion and plays the drums at nightclubs with her siblings (to get some extra cash).

Sabino Vitale (he/him) is the strategist of the Dusk Angels. He has close relationship with Xena Lionheart because of their interest in peacemaking. Although, they both have different views of what makes "peace". Sabino is a cisgender male, straight, demiromantic, Black-Italian, and a Serph Angel. Theia Tungwenuk (she/her) is the youngest member of the Dusk Angels and daughter of Aspen Tungwenuk. She's a playful, young, prankster still learning her way in the world. Theia is a cisgender female, Southeast Asian, and a human. Being the youngest, she's sees the others as her "aunts" and "uncles". Currently, Theia resides at the Demon King's Mansion, helps Aspen around with tasks, and goes to Achlys Middle School.

Character Intros Revamped: Aspen Tungwenuk

Aspen Tungwnuk (any pronouns) is the healer of the group. When a Dusk Angel is hurt, Aspen is the person for the job! They are genderfluid, bisexual, a Yupik Native, and is a Morai-Angel hybrid. [Note: Morai are the "Fates" from Greek mythos.] He has a daughter named Theia Tungwenuk, who he adopted. Aspen found her {Theia} when she was a little baby abandoned in the Whispering Woods. Currently, Aspen lives inside the Demon King's Mansion and trains there to become a medic for the royal family.

Dove Andris (she/they) is the diplomatic type, but if messed with, she can be a force of nature. They are a cisgender female, demisexual, Lithuanian, deaf, and is a Nephilim. Dove is viewed by many of the Dusk Angels as their "younger sister". She is looked up to by Theia Tungwenuk (her "niece") because of how strong she is. Currently, they reside in the Demon King's Mansion and currently enrolled at Northstar High.

Character Intros Revamped: Naois Powys

Naois Powys (he/him) is the Angel of Dusk’s protector/tank and labeled as ‘big brother’ by many of the members (especially Dove Andris). He is a cisgender male, aroace, Welsh, has PTSD, and an Angel. Naois is regarded as the ‘big brother’ or ‘uncle’ (only by Theia Tungwenuk) because of him being the oldest and his values of companionship due to his time as a soldier. He was medically discharged due to injuries which caused him having to get prosthetics. Currently, he resides in the Demon King’s Mansion and is the main caretaker of the younger members (with the help of his cousin, Xena, of course)!

Xena Lionheart (she/her) is the diplomatic one of the Angels of Dusk and the cousin to an angel named Naois Powys (another member of the group). She is a cisgender woman, straight, LGBTQ+ Ally, French, Muslim and an Angel. Xena, before she was banished along with the others, was a high ranked member of Paradiso’s court, but lost the position due to an act to save Janus’ life. Currently, she lives in the Demon King’s Mansion and cares for the younger members of the group. Xena also has a part-time job as a waitress at Beezlebub’s Diner.

Character Intros Revamped: Keres Vestinus aka The Shadow Demon

Keres Vestinus (they/he/it) is the second in-command of the Angels of Dusk and the sibling of Janus Vestinus. They are agender, aroace, and a Shadow Demon. Keres was created by Janus' fear and hopelessness when Janus was 19 yrs old (in human yrs). Although Keres' origin of creation came from negative emotions, he wasn't malicious at all. In fact, Keres helped Janus through their struggles. Because of this, Janus and Keres became very close and formed a siblinghood. Currently, he lives in the Demon King's Mansion and is a street musician along with Janus (both playing guitar and singing to songs).

Janus Vestinus (they/them) is the main character of Zenith Skies, Nadir Lows. They are nonbinary, pansexual, Greek-Panamanian and a Demon-Angel hybrid. For most of their life, Janus' only person that they considered family was a demon named Keres, but that changed once they met the "Angels of Dusk", a group of outcast angel that said to be banished out of Paradiso. Janus became the leader of the Angel of Dusk with Keres being their second in-command. Currently, they resided in the Demon King's Mansion and is a part-time street musician.
