Please remember Aro characters don't have to be "married to their job" or have an obsession for something or be burn out and no time for a relationship.
Aro people can just be Aro, you can have a justification. You don't have to

*ahem* SHIPPING AN AROACE CHARACTER WITHOUT REGARD TO THEIR ROMANTIC ORIENTATION IS JUST AS BAD AS SHIPPING A GAY MAN WITH A WOMAN 📣📣📣

If you chose “Other,” you can put your idea in the tags or comments, but no pressure. Don’t worry about any problematic implications of these characters, this is just about the kind of characters you enjoy. This is just for fun, nothing serious! 🧡 🤍 💙

As it's aro visibility day I would love to give a long list of canonically aro podcast characters, unfortunately aromantic is by far the smallest category in my queer podcast characters list, so all I can offer you is
Friday Rescher, Hello From The Hallowoods
A few letter senders, Monstrous Agonies
And maaybe The Audio Tour Guide, The Mistholme Museum of Mystery, Morbidity and Mortality, I seem to remember something saying that it's aroace but I don't remember that ever being explicitly said in canon, more of a "it's AI and doesn't understand attraction" thing
That being said, there are obviously many podcasts I have never listened to, so I'm sure there are others out there...somewhere

Happy Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week!
I already posted an illustration of Sunny June, the aro-spec (greyromantic) main character of my webcomic “Spotlights and Poison”. But he is not the only one of the cast on the aro spec. Here is Denise, another important cast member who is bisexual and aromantic.
This is an illustration I did for last year’s Aro Week.

Ok so I finally finished Loveless and I feel so SEEN like I started the book feeling like it was a homework assignment, like I knew I was supposed to read it because it’s THE aro ace book but I hate reading things just because I’m supposed to. And the first 1/8th of the book I had a really hard time getting into and I ended up putting it down to finish rereading Return of the King and then it was finals week and I was stressed so I reread Ella Enchanted and Princess Academy because they’re my comfort books. But now I finally have some free time and I blew through the rest of Loveless in 2 days. I don’t even know what my problem was originally, it’s so good and expresses so much of how I feel about myself and my identity and how important friendships are and it’s such a good and compelling narrative in and of itself that I think I would love it even if I was straight but then it’s also representation, real representation, in a way I’ve never seen before.
Anyway if you haven’t read it yet put it on your reading list. Yes you. It’s important. Read Loveless and tell me what you think.
Definitely if you’re a spec but also if you’re not.

Am I the only one who loves the near lack of romance in One Piece?
Which is one of the reasons I was extremely disappointed when they made Usopp in love with Kaya in the live action series. I was extremely disappointed with the live action of OP in general, but that's a story for another day... But just, it went from a story about friendship and deep (platonic) connections, to something cliché and, in my view, boring and reductive.
Not to mention the fact that Luffy, Nami and Zoro are probably all very much aroace (Luffy almost certainly) but these 3 are usually the most shipped and sexualized characters in the fandom.
Sorry, just using aromantic spectrum awareness week to rant about something that has been bothering me about one of my favourite animes. Maybe I'll finally find someone who gets it...

The fact that I can count canon aro-/ace characters on one hand 😭✋
1) Reyna from HOO
2) Rex from City of Blank
3) Prospero from Nevermore
4) That guy from Bojack (never seen it, don't care)
5) Loveless' MC (Georgia I think?? Idk I didn't really like Loveless to begin with)
Edit: Kasi from Realta (webtoons) is a demiromantic asexual!!!

"Why are you writing about two aspecs in a QPR for your fantasy book instead of just making it a romance"
THE VOICES
And by voices I mean the voices of all the aspecs who get 0 representation in literature. Of those who don't fit into this or that label perfectly. Of those who don't fit into your little stereotypes of what an aroace person is. The voices who might stay silent but they deserve to be recognized and written about either way
