when you realize cas never got a chance to see dean mourn him. to see what his death did to dean. how it broke him completely. SHATTERED. he never saw dean's utter despair. anger. complete hopelessness. he only ever saw dean's joy when he came back. and so cas figured that his death simply didn't affect dean all that much. that dean could be happy with Cas gone. that Dean could go on. Move on. cas never understood that this joy, this hope, this smile on dean's face after he came back was ONLY BECAUSE HE CAME BACK. CAME BACK TO DEAN.

season one of supernatual is so funny to me. sam and dean will literally show up to the crime scene in some fuck ass flannels and dean is in his leather jacket and the cops are like "who the hell are you?" and dean will be like "oh, us? well we are obviously from the us fish and wildlife service who else could we possibly be???" 

meanwhile theyre in the craziest outfits known to mankind with no badge or anything, so the cops will ask for their IDs and they'll hand them the most unconvincing fake id you'll ever see. the thing will be crumpled to no return and look like it was all hand written by a toddler and SOMEHOW THE COPS STILL BELIEVE THEM??

and then, they'll start questioning the victims family like "aw man :( I'm so sad for you :( that must be really hard :( so like what happened? and on a completely separate note, did you see anything? feel a temp drop? did you feel a cold spot? did you see something weird? like a creature mayhaps? like a ghost? did you see a ghost? do you believe in ghosts? please tell me it's a ghost?" like that's a totally normal line of questioning for a random drowning from two members of the us fish and wildlife service.

I just watched the watcher update and I have to pay a little respect as it seems they've addressed a majority of the concerns their fans have.

tldr for anyone who hasn't seen the video, they have changed their model essentially. they are continuing to post their videos on youtube, but you can have everything a month earlier and ad free on watcher TV.

this does address several concerns, so I have to give them some props for actually listening to what their fans have said.

do I still have some remaining frustration? yes. do I think I will continue to watch what they make? I'm not sure yet.

but this seems to be something that's their fans are happier with. in the hour ish that the video has been up, it has the SAME AMOUNT OF LIKES that the goodbye video got in more than 48 hours WITH ABOUT A TENTH OF THE VIEWS!!

I think this is a good compromise for everyone, the fans still get their content and watcher may get some more money from those willing to pay for the subscription.

this is probably the last post I'm gonna make about the watcher situation but I feel as though the argument of "well you guys just don't think artists should be paid for their art and that's why you're mad" is genuinely ridiculous. they ARE being paid for their art. they get paid by sponsors and their fans pay for merch, patreon, live shows, etc. THEY ARE BEING PAID!!

whether they are expanding too quickly or they're trying to make more shows than they can pay for, that isn't the viewers fault. we aren't the ones running the company it is not OUR fault if they are mismanaging funds in some way, shape, or form.

also, if you can add two people onto your team, it makes me less inclined to believe that there's a money problem. so either, there isn't that bad of a money problem, or they hired two new people in anticipation that their fans would love the watcher TV idea and be willing to pay enough that they can afford the two new members. either way, crazy choice!!!!

let me make it very clear: ARTISTS SHOULD BE PAID FOR THEIR WORK!!! 100%!!!! however, I truly believe this is the weirdest and most frustrating possible way that they could've announced this.
