When Alecto and Amycus Carrow first joined the death eaters they joined purely for their own agenda and advantage. But don't take that the wrong way, they believed in blood purity and muggle baiting as much as their fellow dark pure bloods, but their Slytherin ambition and determination stayed with them past their Hogwarts years.

The Carrow family believe In family loyalty and the benefit of one another, Alecto and Amycus have saved each other's back many times from accusations and risk of their lives. From poisoning fellow nobles to silently cursing others behind their back, the Carrow's show no mercy when one of their owned is threatened.

At the epitome of his transfiguration skills (or as he said so), James Potter thought he was brilliant at his work and was even more proud of it.

So one day while planning for the next full moon, James had an inspiration. To ‘borrow’ a flobberworm from Hagrid for ‘education reasons’ and transfigure it into a beautiful green butterfly. Then he would anonymously give it to Lily, after that in his own words she would ‘declare her undying love for the butterfly giver’’.

Well things went half to plan for James, Lily received the butterfly and was admiring its beauty and colour, when it slowly turned back into a flobberworm. A fault in the wand movements James would later know. But unluckily for him he decided to approach Lily in the middle of its transformation back to a slimy creature and ask her who sent her the butterfly.

At the moment it changed Lily thought it was a stupid immature prank James came up with, and she didn’t acknowledge him for a week. Including insults. But that didn’t stop James. Next week he charmed Lily’s Charms notes to sing Bohemian Rhapsody in the middle of class. Professor Flitwick was at least amused…

Molly Prewett reading old Wizarding Literature that Arthur got her for her Birthday. The book was a classic, written in the 1700s by an English pureblood with a different and artistic outlook on life.

Inspired by a romantic interest from a French witch, the novel travels through the corrupted and dull conservative lifestyle of noble witches and wizards, with an enthralling love story along the way, they break the rules and actually live life.

Taken by Arthur Weasley who loved watching Molly read. All the small quirks she has; licking her fingertip to turn the page, a furrow in her eyebrows when she is carefully contemplating an idea of the book, and overly how concentrated she is the her own little world of reading.

A young Narcissa Black who ventured out of her parents vision to pick flowers in the Forest of Dean. She took her favourite horse of course, and got a good talking to when she got back.

According to her mother ‘Young pureblooded little girls of the Noble and Ancient House of Black shouldn’t go out picking flimsy flowers alone, you should be practising French or the Piano. Only proper Witches get betrothed to pure and wealthy Wizards’.

Her father even told her to go read about dark curses like little Bellatrix does in her spare time, after being given duties to do with the house elf of course.

On the holidays when away from Petunia of course, Lily would go over her potions notes and with her leftover ingredients from school she would practise the next years potions. In her potions notebook Lily would plan out and write her own methods to making potions in, sometimes adjusting the amounts of ingredients needed or how many times one was to stir clockwise. In 3rd year she added a plant and an ingredients glossary to the back of her notebook, in which the pages would magically extend if she needed more room. When the other girls in the dormitory needed potions help they always came to Lily her perfect notes and work plans made them sure they wouldn't get a T from Slughorn. Even Lily's mother got interested in her little notebook when she came back from Hogwarts. She would often sit down and read the glossary in the back, usually asking Lily if she could buy some of the beautiful flowers and plants that the muggle world didn't have. Taken by Lily who was going to give her Mum back her glasses that she left on her book, but though that a photo would be nice cherishing the memories that would once go.

Accidental magic for most young wizards and witches shows signs of their powers at emotional moments, turning an enemies hair green in an inner burst of anger or charming a toy they want to go to them from a greedy cousins grasp.

But some young witches and wizards can control their magic from a young age. Levitating themselves upon their beds, charming their teddy bears to dance around their room or shrinking an ugly jumper they don’t want to wear.

These witches and wizards come to be very powerful once 17, no matter if they are a pureblood, halfblood or muggleborn being able to control their magic without a wand at a young age shows great potential and a powerful future in the wizarding world.

Ever since the Middle Ages it has been tradition for all members of Noble and Most Ancient Houses to have magical portraits taken as they turn of age and when they enter marriage. Most are taken in the ballroom of their manor, in the study or under an attractive looking tree in the back garden. But with breaking tradition a tad here Lucius and Narcissa, well mainly Narcissa wanted to have her marriage portrait on a beach near their French chateau where her and Lucius went on their first stroll together.

Taken by Oliver Cartwright an expert Wizarding painter who’s pureblood line kept him popular with the Malfoy’s portraits.
