Hello everyone, I am: alive. And in Toronto! Can you imagine? What a life.

I’m sitting on the bed of the airbnb thinking I need to buy groceries and makeup remover. It’s raining outside, but not too much. I’ve landed on Monday at 20.30 (sorry, 8.30pm) after 15 hours with a layover in the US, where there were “do not bring your firearms inside” signs and it was hilarious and terrifying at the same time. In Toronto’s airport I went through immigration (two excruciating hours because what if they don’t like me) and claimed my baggage (two high pressure minutes because what if they lost it), then my boss and his wife picked me up to eat noodles and bring me to the airbnb. The place is nice, very sexy shower, quiet roommates, very close to work. By the way, today’s my first day at the school and I can’t wait to receive my uniform sweater. I didn’t start yesterday because I went around to get a new SIM card, create a bank account and get my SIN number. I also bought nail polish for the first time and later that night I made a big crazy mess.

This whole thing cannot describe how weird it is, I’m swinging from wonder to panic to wonder to panic to “it’s finally happening” to “it’s ok, breathe, don’t cry in public” to “this place is awesome” to “I need a human to talk to”.

Housing is a big question mark, prices are bonkers and for now my income isn’t much. My boss is super chill, he says it’ll increase in a couple of months so I shouldn’t worry. How can I explain to him that I worry constantly? I should work on this in therapy, when I’ll be able to afford it.

Lastly, sorry for disappearing, I had so much on my mind I couldn’t do anything more than staying with my loved ones and checking that everything was right for my departure. I’ve missed you and I’m sorry I’ve missed your posts and adventures. I can’t wait to catch up with you 💛 I love you so much

Here we go again!

The work stress different when the market is shifting. They say pressure ndeye matyre chete (pressure is for car tyres only), but even tyres need a break sometimes – and hey, last vacation's been a lifesaver. It's a funny thing about missing targets – one slip-up, and the anxiety kicks in like you've never done anything right. Need to remember to step back and see the whole picture.

Took some heat the other day but realised something – gotta swap those gut feelings for facts and figures. It's how I'll level up.

Mornings are my new battleground. This whole "early bird" thing is a work in progress. But hey, gotta start somewhere. Lately, I'm finding my strength in faith and getting intentional about it via daily prayer and church on Sundays.

Speaking of leveling up, finished the book "Grit" and damn, did that book hit hard! Effort, passion, purpose – my new mantra. Now I'm starting 'Lightbringer' book 6 of the 'Red Rising' series - sensational book, think harry potter, game of thrones meets guardians of the galaxy.

As for me, gotta get these battle scars back into fighting shape. Lucky for my my wife never lets me spend a day without feeling all fuzzy & warm inside.

Does anyone else feel like this?

Being in your 20's out of school is so weird. Like how am I supposed to make friends now? Especially since I am not a huge extrovert. I can be after I am comfortable with someone but I have never been the person to initiate conversation easily. And I think that everyone will agree that apps suck..big time. It's even harder for those of us that move out of state after school; no connections, no friends, and few opportunities leave a person feeling pretty lonely. Sooo, suggestions are needed. What are some introvert-friendly ways to meet people? That doesn't include apps haha.

So, in World's Finest: Teen Titans, there's this scene where Bruce and Dick are discussing why Dick cannot go to the Teen Titans Convention with his friends, while Bruce is working on the Batmobile. (It's weirdly domestic even if they are in costume and speaking about being vigilante, because it's literally a teen being "Yeah, I know it's dangerous and a bad idea, but I still want to do it and hang out with my friend! Pls, let me go???" to his father who is fixing the car. I love it.)

And I couldn't stop thinking about how Jason loves cars, and all the time he and Bruce must have passed together working on the Batmobile. Dick sticks around but he isn't helping, and neither does Tim or Damian later, they aren't interested. Jason "stole the Batmobile's tires" Todd, Jason "told Two Faces his car is tacky" Todd must have asked if he could look and learn, and help, and Bruce taught him and let him with a small smile. Numerous good times between father and son, working on the Batmobile, while Jason talks about his day at school.

Jason who comes back and knows the Batmobile so well he tries to blew it up to kill Batman, before changing his mind (it's because he loves the car, he tells himself). Bruce getting a brand new Batmobile after Jason's death because working on the one he worked on with Jason hurts. Now, she sits in a conner of the garage of the batcave, and when Jason comes by for the first time, he recognizes the old car. Bruce breaking down everytime he works on his car in the months following Jason's death, because he is so used to having the kid helps and chats with him. Bruce offering to Jason to help him fix the Batmobile when they are trying to fix their relationship, and father and son falling back into the comfort of working together on the car.
