lando and oscar hiding out at alex's apothecary shop thingy which is also the chemist point to make explosives and such. lando and oscar have a tender moment where oscar is helping lando deal with some wounds, especially a big cut on his forehead. oscar makes an uncharacteristic harry potter joke and lando laughs out of surprise more than anything. then obviously lando hisses at the alcohol touching his cuts, and oscar is like "jesus christ just hold my hand" and lando begrudgingly does it.

and as oscar's working, and lando tries not to be too weird about oscar's comforting wool and ink and leather smell, lando realises there's a red spot blooming on oscar's shirt too. and lando's like "oh my god you're injured mate." and oscar is like. "it doesn't even matter." and lando is like "of course it does, let me–" and tugs the collar of oscar's shirt open to look closer at the wound, and ends up standing up so he's eye to eye with oscar.

and they get close. too close. oscar grabs lando's wrist to stop him from moving. they're kind of frozen there while they look at each other, really looking. lando's not really realised what oscar's pale column of skin looks like beneath all the suiting. and oscar's mouth parts and lando's getting dizzy (must be the blood loss), and recognition flashes in oscar's eyes.

and then alex walks in, with a knowing look. and is like. "hey boys. am i interrupting?"

#okay so some background: i work in a wellness center that has a good handful of medical services along with our other ones and one of the #medical services we offer is hyperbaric oxygen therapy?? <- in case you don't know what that is it's basically like a sleeping bag that we #zip you up in and give you a nasal canal with 90% oxygen and we pressurize the bag so it's similar to going up in an airplane. it's good fo #mental clarity and also for getting better sleep. like 1 hour in there is equivalent to 4 hours of REM sleep. super cool!! #also we use walkie-talkies to communicate with you since you're all sealed up in there and it takes like 10 minutes to pressurize up n down #however!! one of the other benefits is that it can help with symptoms of dementia. i've seen people with brain injuries come in before but #today was my first time seeing someone do it for dementia. and he brought his wife in with him for support #i just walked over and saw her sitting on the floor beside the chamber he was in and she was smiling and staring at him through the window #she was speaking into the walkie and laughing with him and i just. the idea of her wanting to be with him in these hard moments 🥺 #she's now reading a book but still sitting right there on the ground beside him. my nurse offered her a chair but she's not leaving his sid #i just i can't y'all i love love. #chelsea speaks

Also here's a minor story/cautionary tale:

Soooo before today I did not know that airplane rides can dehydrate you. But let me tell you folks, I discovered it the hard way.

I felt totally fine during the flight and for the rest of the evening after we landed. Nothing that would have tipped me off that I wasn't drinking enough water. A false sense of security.

(ALTHOUGH, now that I look back upon memories, I didn't drink anything with dinner!!! I did have water when I got home but probably not very much. And then I just went to sleep.)

Then this morning, probably a couple hours after I woke up, I started feeling kind of sick. Very tired and sleepy (easily attributed to the travel itself) but also just kind of that like.....eeuughhh am I coming down with something kind of bad feeling.

Next I went to the grocery store because my mom needed someone to come help her carry the bags (she has back problems) and while we were at the store I was just like. Not feeling good. Couldn't concentrate, super tired, spacing out, and at a few points I'd feel super dizzy and I was almost worried I was gonna lose my footing.

So naturally I complained about it to online friends and said I'm either getting sick or just very exhausted but then they were like "No girl you were just on a plane. I bet everything you're dehydrated. Go drink some water."

And this was FUCKING NEWS TO ME?? that being on an airplane dehydrates you because of the very low humidity? And then to make things worse I was returning from a very hot and dry environment that my body isn't used to.

So when I got home I had some gatorade and a big glass of water and I felt better! No more dizziness! The tiredness has not gone away really but I don't feel sick anymore. Amazing. The power of hydration.

The more I think about Mike wearing sunglasses in the airport the less it makes sense! There's no reason he should be wearing them? He didn't even put them back on when they got out of the van when it was actually sunny! He rolls up wearing them only to take them off AFTER greeting Jane and proceed to not even use them for their intended purpose. Mike Wheeler you are a disaster, but I love you. Why did he do that it's haunting me.

Right??? It's so weird,, plus the glasses he puts on at SBP right before talking to El when it seems like she wants to break up with him.
