Yami didn’t know how this happened, she was fine when she left on a mission with Asta and Noelle, but when they all came back she was a baby! When he asked them what the hell happened Asta and Noelle explained that it was the bad guys magic; he could make people really old, or really young!

Yami had ordered them to take her back to the mage and force him to change her back but Noelle explained that they tried, but the mage said his spell would only wear off in 24 hours. So for now…they were stuck with her being a toddler!

She was still able to walk at least, talking on the other hand…well she was only able to say a handful of words, mainly ‘mommy’ and ‘daddy’. Which kind of bothered Yami since he didn’t want to be called ‘daddy’ by a member of his squad, but she wasn't really eager to learn ‘Yami’ at the moment he would have to deal with it for now.

Yami fully intended to leave her at the squad as he went to a Captain’s meeting, but when Yami began to ask who wanted to be in charge of their toddler squadmate every single Black Bull scattered like leaves in a gust of wind.

Which was how he ended up in his current situation; in the Captain’s meeting room, with his toddler squadmate sitting in his lap, as the other Captain’s ‘oohed’ and ‘awwed’ over her.

“ Aw look how adorable she is! I didn’t know you had a baby Yami!” Dorothy said as she began to use her Glamour World magic to create small toys to keep her entertained. Charlotte crossed her arms as she looked at the child.

‘Yami had a child?! Why didn’t he say anything? Does that mean he’s married or has a committed partner? Or is the child a product of a one night stand? Yami doesn’t seem to be the type to do that though, so he must have someone! Why didn’t he say anything, I’m so jealous of her, why didn’t I confess to him sooner?!’ Charlotte’s mind raced as she stared at the little girl, she didn’t look like Yami, but that could easily be explained away. The girl looked at Charlotte with wide eyes before she smiled brightly and reached her arms out towards the Briar mage.

“ Mommy?” She asked cutely before her smile widened. “ Mommy!”

Charlotte and Dorothy’s hearts quickly melted and they both couldn’t help but say ‘How Cute~!’. Yami sighed and shook his head.

“ The Prickly Princess ain’t your mom, and I’m not her dad. She’s a member of my squad who got turned into a toddler on a mission earlier. The other brats took off running when I asked them to baby sit her.” Yami explained as he held the small girl still. She looked up at him with a pout but did stop moving.

“ I see, so how long will she be like this?” Fuegoleon asked as he placed a thoughtful hand under his chin, the girl looked at him for a moment before her bright smile returned.

“ Daddy!” She shouted brightly and with a giggle, Fuegoleon’s brows raised in surprise and a small smile appeared on his face.

“ I’m sorry to say that I’m not your father little one.” Fuegoloen told her gently as he patted her on the head, the little girl pouted.

“ She seems to only be able to say ‘mommy’ and ‘daddy’, which makes sense since she’s only like 1 or 2.” Yami said in an unsure tone, Rill tilted his head.

“ I think she’s closer to a year and a half! Babies are generally able to walk by the time they’re one, and can talk in short sentences by the age of two, so logically she should be somewhere in between since she can walk but not really talk!” Rill said thoughtfully as he stared at the young girl.

“ How the hell do you know that kid?” Jack asked with a frown and Rill suddenly laughed sheepishly.

“ Me and my squad sometimes volunteer at the orphanages in the city and the sisters explained it to me when I tried to have a group of kids tell me about their paintings.” Rill explained and the others nodded.

The little girls eyes moved to Nozel, who was sitting in his seat with his eyes closed and arms crossed, ignoring her effectively.

“ Daddy…?” She asked hesitantly and Nozel’s eyes shot open and he glared coldly at her.

“ I’m not your father, and I wish you would refrain from calling me that.” He told the girl, his tone as cold as ice, the little girl jumped for a moment before her eyes welled up with tears.

The girl began to cry and wail at the top of her lungs, everyone glared openly at Nozel.

“ What the hell did you do that for braid boy?!” Yami asked as he and the others tried to console the toddler and Nozel’s eyes widened a bit.

“ Geez Nozel she’s just a baby, can’t you be just a little nicer with her?” Dorothy asked as she put her hands on her hips and had a angry look on her face. Nozel’s cheeks turned a shade of pink and he looked away.

“ Don’t listen to him brat,” Yami said to the toddler as he gently patted her head. “ You can call of us ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ as much as you like. And ignore him.” Yami instructed them as his hand moved away from her head and began to wipe away her tears.

“ Yeah! Nozel’s just jealous because he doesn’t have a cool baby of his own!” Rill said as he crossed his arms, and Jack looked over at the Silver Eagles Captain.

“ Even I’m not that big of a jerk to kids bird boy.” He muttered with a shake of his head, Nozel sighed loudly before turning to look at them all.

“ I’m not jealous and I’m not angry at the child!” Nozel shouted accidentally, causing everyones eyes to widen. “ It’s just…” He glanced over at Dorothy, and she suddenly realized why he was acting the way he was.

Seeing that little girl was bringing up a lot of painful memories for him, so all he knew to do was lash out in order to hide his true emotions.

“ It’s just that a Captain’s meeting is no place for a child as young as her. Here, we talk about and see so many terrible things that it could easily traumatize someone as young as her for life. Don’t you think it would be better for her to remain innocent to the horrors of the world just a little longer?” Nozel asked with a sigh.

“ Uh, she’s already seen the horrors of the world remember? She’s actually a Magic Knight?” Yami pointed out in confusion, causing Nozel’s face to turn a brighter red.

“ Nozel does have a point. A Captain’s meeting is no place for a young child,” Fuegoloen agreed before he reached out to take her from Yami. “ So I suggest that she stay with Marx for the time being, and once the meetings over Yami can take her back. Alright?” He watched as all the others nodded and he carefully carried the child through the doors and to Marx.

The meeting ended fairly quickly and now Yami was heading back to the Black Bulls Hideout. After being full of energy all day she had finally wore herself out and was sound asleep in Yami’s arms. He chuckled a bit as he looked down at her, as much as he didn’t want to babysit her at first, he had to admit it was a nice change of pace and he was actually going to miss her being this small.

At least until she woke up and began to torment everyone again, then he wouldn’t be able to wait until she transformed back into her normal self again.

First of all - why we should twist with new boys? Mc should be sent home - like there literally was a text "if you single - you'd be dumped". Our theory about Finn and Kat twisting if MC single had much more sense!

Secondly. Suresh, dude, are you for real? Still playing games instead of showing everyone were you stand. And Lulu seems really sweet, how dare he to use her like that? I mean it was obvious she's his safe choice to stay but FB making him such an asshole? Why he didn't tell her "I can bring you but that'll be friendship couple cuz I only want MC"? For someone who's talking"i care about you, MC" he's definitely makes her life much more complicated!

01: Do you have a good relationship with your parents?

Not really I guess? I mean, it could be so much worse, but my father's practically a stranger to me because he was hardly ever around and my mom pretty much closed herself off emotionally after my older brother died (I was still very young back then), so I also feel like I barely know her. But we usually all have a pretty nice time during holidays and they both support me financially as best as they can, so I don't really think I have a right to complain much.

02: Who did you last say “I love you” to?

I'm not sure I've ever said that to anyone. There's a similar phrase im German (it roughly translates to "I hold you dear") that you usually use with family (and I guess friends?), and even that one I barely use. I just never had one to say it to, I guess.

03: Do you regret anything?

Yes. But if I were to list every regret of mine, we'd be here for a while. Though in rare moments I can't bring myself to regret anything, because it made me who I am. (Most of the time I'm not really happy with who that is, so of course I have regrets then.)

04: Are you insecure?

Yes. Maybe less so here with the anonymity of the internet, but not by much.

05: What is your relationship status?

I'm currently single.

06: How do you want to die?

No idea, I'm open to suggestions. (jk😆)

I usually got straight As in everything but P.E., but often times they felt undeserved (e.g. in Latin - because even 4 years after my graduation and with additionally completing the entire Duolingo course, I still barely understand a word when I come accross it).

Yes; see answer 14.

26: What are you craving right now?

Affection. I always do.

Also, to finally be through with the semester and all my exams so I can have some sembelence of free time again.

If so, I honestly don't know. As far as exes go, I have three (that generously counting, as you'll see). With the first one I was together at the start of Elementary School. When I broke up with him, his mother lamented to mine that he was heartbroken, but he never seemed to be so in school and also, we were like 7, so I'm not sure it even counts.

With my second ex-bf, I thought I would be breaking his heart, be he told me that he usually doesn't feel any emotions (intently) and that he pretty much didn't care that I broke up with him.

And with my last ex, I can't even tell you whom of us broke up, so I can't imagine that I broke his heart. (We haven't spoken since, so I have no way to guess either.)

Don't think so, no.

Not as far as I know, no.

I don't think so.

I don't cry in front of other people. (To be fair, I hardly ever cry on my own either.) Although, come to think of it, one time I cried in school in front of a floor full of people - but none of them noticed.

Forget. To forgive I have to figure out why it even still bothers me and most of the time I have no idea.

Hahha it's funny that u used ice coffee drinker nickname today.. because this morning it was like 20 degree outside n i ordered cold brew with salted caramel foam . N i was so happy because it was so good.

So we woke up at 4am to get ready but my flight got delayed. It was supposed to be at 8am n it was delayed to 1h40minutes. The Oklahoma airport was surprisingly not that busy. I wrote a bit in flight but then fall asleep for like 20minutes.

So just to clue you in on something: (not that you even care, but I thought I’d tell you anyway) Eleanor and I took Kyler to the doctor yesterday, and we told her Dr that you are a nurse and what you had told your mom regarding the breathing treatments regarding the daycare was giving those to that child… also that you had said that “those breathing treatments were spreading germs throughout the air and making the other kids sick and that’s what aerosol does”… And her reply to us regarding that was “that, that is the least of her concern, and for us to disregard and ignore what you say and that she would not worry about a child taking those breathing treatments and she said exactly what I said above… “that they are swapping toys and slobber all day long and for us to not worry about a little breathing treatment!! Also that we are doing EXACTLY what we are supposed to do for Kyler and that I have good instincts and to keep listening to them and I am doing the right thing!” You may be a Nurse, but you are not her Nurse, and furthermore nor a Pediatric nurse… nor are you involved in ANY of her care… so your Opinion, nor your Advise is not needed or wanted!! Last I checked, you are not responsible for Kyler, in any way, shape or form, nor are you on her Fostering paperwork.. So Eleanor and I would Appreciate it if you would keep your Nose in your own lane and handle your own children and Stop trying to offer your advice and give your input on ours, cause it definitely is not needed!! I have several friends that I know and I trust and if need be I can go to them for advice regarding anything Medical or just parenting tips in general etc… but you are not one of them that I would ever reach out to for advice in any regards!!! Now mind you, if you weren’t so condescending with your words and you actually made comments and statements that made sense, and was someone that didn’t back mouth and someone that we could count on, than that would be different, but you burned that bridge a long time ago and then burned it again with Both of us!! So NO we do not want your advice, or your opinion in any matter! 

You always got to look at the negative in things no matter what the cause… and you Always have to offer your opinion on things when it’s not even wanted or asked for and as far as what you said, regarding the daycare and giving that child those breathing treatments if I was that mother, and if it was Kyler that was having to get those breathing treatments, I would be very grateful to the daycare and that they were able to give those for me while I work and provide for my family… so that I could still work etc and not delay my child’s care! But I guarantee you, you don’t look at things like that… again always Negative Nancy! 🙄🙄Also FYI Before Kyler could go back to daycare yesterday… She had to have a doctors note, clearing her… in which she did… so I guarantee you that,that mother of the child that was having to have those breathing treatments, had to do the same and get a doctors note to clear him to come back to daycare if he had been out and went to the dr! There’s an old saying that describes know it alls like you: “They know a whole lot about everything and a whole lot about nothing“ and that describes you to a T!! It’s like what you said here while back before we got foster placement, you made the statement to your mom that “the social workers that you have had to deal with in the ER, you didn’t like them!” Well if truth be known… they probably didn’t like you either!! Like you make the DUMBEST comments and statements that I have ever seen!! There has to be a disconnect somewhere with you… Because you just say random crap, and it honestly makes no sense, it’s like you are lacking common sense!! It’s like you enjoy talking about other people, and running them in the ground… like you get a rise out of it! You have to be one of the most insecure person the most non compassionate person that I have ever known. Like For instance saying that Your mom buys Eleanor better Christmas gifts than she buys you!!! 🤣🙄 Like Seriously!!!? Like get over yourself… you are so Jealous, it’s almost comical!! I think it makes you feel good because you can sit and run that mouth of yours and honestly everything that is coming out of your mouth is it nothing but gibberish, like it’s honestly non-sense! 

You are one of the most Disrespectful people I have ever had to deal with and your kids are learning from you, you are such a good teacher especially in those regards!!!! Also then when Raymond and Ajax come out here on the nights that you have had to work and Eleanor and I both have repeatedly asked them when they are coming out here that we are usually trying to get Kyler down for the night and to please come in quietly… And they completely disregard everything that we have respectfully asked of them! Honestly, it’s almost like they get louder when they come out now, since we have asked them to be quiet when they come out, personally I think it’s out of spite, they come in talking loudly! They continue to let the front door slam, and give no credit to what we have asked of them… For instance, Last night… when they were coming in, I was coming down stairs, and Ajax was talking loudly and I said to him… Shhh! And then when I went to the kitchen to make Kyler’s bottle’s up, Ajax looked at me and Rolled his eyes! Just SO DISRESPECTFUL! Your kids have no respect whatsoever for anyone, and neither do you! But they have learned from you, so honestly, I don’t blame them… I blame you! 🙄 

Also, might, I add, we have had Kyler in our care for almost 2 months now and you have come out one time to see her… But I guess since you have seen her once… you think that entitles you to offer up your opinion well here is another News Flash for ya!!… WE DON’T WANT YOUR ADVISE NOR YOUR OPINION, IF WE DO WE WILL ASK FOR IT, BUT I HIGHLY DOUBT WE WILL! Also your kids when they are out here, they walk right past Kyler and don’t even acknowledge that she’s even in the room! She looks at them waiting for them to speak to her, and they just walk right on by like she’s not even there… 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄 Like just Rude and she ain’t even done anything to you or your kids to cause yaw to treat her this way!!! It honestly blows my mind… I wonder what it’s going to be like once she notices how your kids act towards her… And then she looks at me and says “Mommy, why won’t they talk to me?” But if truth be known I honestly don’t think you care whose feelings you hurt, nor how you or your kids sound or act! You are so condescending with your words and how you talk to people, and your kids are following suit (not a good trait to have.) You made the statement here while back to Eleanor and I that you don’t have any feelings, also I’ve heard that one of your supervisors has made the statement to you that you need to have more Compassion… Honestly you need to hav me feelings and compassion if you are going to be taking care of patients! Just Sayin! 

So with all of this being said, I’ll say it again… and just to break it down for you in case you need more clarification… we don’t want your advice or your opinions on how things should be regarding Kyler or things with our life, you Mr not in a good place to offer any of that! Mine and Eleanor’s life is exactly that… Mine and Eleanor’s!!  And things regarding us and Kyler is NONE OF YOU CONCERN!! So mind your business and keep your nose in your lane!! Also Eleanor has read the txt that I am sending you and agrees with ALL of the Above!

MBFD Chapter One Teaser

AHHHH IM LOSING MY MIND

Your second routine starts coming to a close after a few minutes of dynamic dance, your group now walking toward the stands and away from centerfield. Being involved in this sort of choreography meant you had to make yourself stand out, and a great way to do that was to add a little extra flare. For many years, you’d been coached on your performance face, on your smiles and expressions and on how to add in a little bit of sass. It also helped you gain favor with the judges during competitions, too. Something you always added to the end of your routines was a wink.

When you turn, your heart drops. The coincidence is uncanny. Your eyes fall directly on Dave’s as you end your routine with a pose, muscle memory incorporating your signature wink. The ecstatic thump in your throat grows to new heights when you see him lean forward, a wide grin growing on his face. He’s got you. This time, you don’t have a chance to form a frowned expression or disgruntled look. He sees your bashfulness beneath his attention, it’s written all over your face.

Your teammates bring you back to reality when the music ends, pulling you up with them as they celebrate their successful performance. As you begin following them off the field, you pause, your chest still heaving as you subtly turn your head back toward Dave. You want to see if he’s still looking at you. And, when you find out he is, you decide to be bold and send him another wink, this one much more purposeful. Your already jelly-like legs nearly go limp when he sends one back.

Lucky for you, your cheer coaches are more understanding than most. After halftime, they usually give you a break, knowing that you’d be more tired than the other girls due to your performance on Pom. Night has set, bringing a chilly breeze along with it. You grab a pair of sweats, changing into a simple, black sports bra as you relax. The inner halls are most likely empty, everyone having returned to their seats when halftime was over, so you decide to go for a short walk and grab another bottle of water.  

“Hey! Could you bring me back one, too?” Stefanie asks, stopping you briefly on your way out.

“Sure,” you grin, giving her a smile.

While walking down the halls, you can’t help but think back to your routine. You’re happy with it, sure, but you point out more flaws than anything else. But when you’d gotten off the field, no one said anything to you. Nothing good, nothing bad. Everyone’s attention was focused on others in the group, what they did well and what they could do better. Though, it’s no secret to you as to why you were excluded from such praise. With the years you’ve spent on the team and the time you’ve put into your work, your team accepted nothing but excellence from you. But even when you deliver, you don’t get the praise you once did. No one appreciates the effort you seem to put in anymore, and while the bar of excellence is a great one to be at, it doesn’t mean you don’t like having support. It was something that always bothered you, having begun at the beginning of your sophomore year. Your coaches told you that you were a leader, and when everyone sees you as the example, no one thinks of your flaws. No one really sees you as human anymore. No one thinks of the possibility of you struggling, of you feeling alone or at fault. No one reaches out to you, and no one is there for you.

“Could I have two bottles of water, please?”

“Sure,” Jason nods, remaining behind the concession stand’s counter before his eyes shift to your left. “And for you, sir?”

You hadn’t realized anyone else was there with you, and when you turn to your left to see who it is, you freeze.

“A medium coke,” Dave says, handing him the money. “Thanks.”

Your eyes dart forward, your whole body almost jolting in the process. Dave chuckles beside you, having noticed your reaction.

Dave had rounded the corner, stepping into the hall, and seeing you right as you approached the booth. The edges of his lips curled, seeing you in your sweatpants and bra. So much skin, he thinks to himself.

“Don’t worry,” he sighs with a small chuckle, casually glancing around the empty hallway. “I don’t bite.”

Oh wow, you think, inhaling a small and shaky breath. His voice. You giggle lightly, nodding before turning to him with an amused smile.

“Hi.”

“Hi.” He replies, returning your grin. “I liked your routine.”

“Oh,” you respond, not expecting to hear that from him. “Thanks, we’ve been working on it for months. The whole summer, actually.”

“Yeah, looked like it.” he nods, glancing down at the ground before adding, “I liked the ending, too.”

It’s not like you’ll ever see this girl again. What’s the worst that could happen?

Your eyes widen at his remark, now rising to meet his once again. His smirk has grown, now entirely playful and not even a foot from your face. You hadn’t realized he was so close; was he always this close? You’re so caught up in your own thoughts that you don’t even realize that Jason comes back until he speaks.

“Here you go,” he says, handing your alluring stranger his coke.

“Thanks,” Dave says, not breaking eye contact with you.

He takes the drink from the employee’s hand, glancing over at him when Jason holds out a few coins.

“Keep the change.” he says, turning to leave, but not before flashing you a wink.
