Another update on  Tangerine Boy Brought Us Together!

The first fic we're doing is Matchmaker! This fic follows Namjoon and Jungkook navigating their friendship as Namjoon enlists the help of an online dating and coaching app called Matchmaker to, essentially, stop being a fuckboy. Jungkook, who is the textbook definition of a fuckboy, is hilariously boggled by this and, thus, absolutely threatened. The fic also follows the reader (aka Y/N aka Your Name), who is the CEO of Matchmaker, and who serves as Namjoon's coach. All of these characters + the rest of the BTS members (ESPECIALLY YOONGI!!) collide one day, at Matchmaker HQ, in a trash bin containing a tossed salad 😏

Episode 1 drops tomorrow! We cover Sierra's questions about chapter 1, and we discuss why she wants to THROTTLE Matchmaker Jungkook so badly! The fic is also about themes of romance, friendship, online dating, science, psychology, creativity, vulnerability, and fuckboy fuckery lol. And, on a personal note, it contains my own take on academia, industry, the sexism I've experienced in both realms, and the ever-burning questions I've always had about passion, chemistry, and connection.

“What did you think of the show, Min Yoongi!“

His voice rumbles through the hi-hat flurry of flashes. “It was incredible. She’s an incredible artist.”

Another voice calls out to him. 

“Does this mean that we can expect a collab?”

Yoongi laughs and lets his neck slope forward. He looks back up at the crowd of reporters and journalists and shrugs. “I’d be honored.”

“How’d you learn about her?” a third voice asks. 

Yoongi takes his hands out of his pockets. His left arm curls around your waist and squeezes you tightly to his side. And his top teeth bite his bottom lip as he turns to you and gets ready to say, “My girlfriend.”
