When sitting on my porch, there's a better/clearer view out from one side of the front door but the electrical outlet is on the other side. And I needed to plug in my iPod (Classic, 6th? generation). I'd say I need to replace it soon but........ I'm really going to miss it when it finally dies on me. I really don't understand how people just like don't carry their music with them? (Sounds fake.gif) It hurts me every time I sync my iPod and I have to pick and choose which albums get to come on this trip. Because it's only an 80gb iPod. did you know that in one of dorm epel's voicelines he mentions he once got lost in pomefiore and ended up in a creepy basement. it's never mentioned again or given any clarification and i think about it every day

that comes up a couple of times actually! there's just like...a weird creepy dungeon slash old alchemy lab that the Pomefiore castle was built on top of. I think Vil might use it sometimes? but really it serves absolutely no purpose beyond the characters every once in a while being like "oh yeah, there's that secret underground laboratory we all apparently know about" and then never elaborating on it at all.

(I know it's a movie reference, but it's still pretty wild to just. in-universe have a not-so-secret basement alchemy dungeon that never has any relevance beyond a couple of throwaway lines. what other buckwild secrets does NRC hold that the characters just never talk about for some reason)

ty lee is by far the most underrated atla character imo. as far as minor principal players, it’s easy to disregard her as the least fleshed out fire nation kid, the most underdeveloped. her role as a foil to any of the main characters is vague, and many people just assume she’s there to bring some sort of levity and humor to azula’s plotline. she’s dismissed as the pretty ditzy girl, or even (shudders) “the bimbo.” but when you actually make the effort to consider what we do see of her, to extrapolate from her few yet crucial scenes anything regarding her underlying motivations, you quickly realize that one of the most layered, multifaceted, compelling, intriguing, ambiguous, and perhaps even straight up insane characters in the entire show has been hiding in plain sight all along. and also that that’s the entire point.

SO surprised and delighted!! I did these initial sketches way back in mid-August and had been slowly chipping away at them over the course of a couple months, so I was just anxiously nitpicking every little detail by the time I posted the finished art. The reaction has been so dang lovely.
