~|~
Today was the day, after years of training and studying, of begging to be allowed to join the academy, they were finally going to be a ninja. It may not seem that impressive in the long run, but the first step is the most important part of every journey to the top, even if Y/N didn’t really care about fame or power all that much. Making their way to their usual spot, somewhere close to the middle and away from all the yelling, Y/N sat down and began scanning the room for any potential teenage drama to avoid. Not because they were above it all, they loved a good show, it was just easier to keep your head down as a lurker.
On a second pass, Y/N finally landed their eyes on Naruto. “So, Naruto made it in? I knew he was secretly Iruka’s favorite.” They made a note of this observation. Despite most of the class trying to ignore him, he always seemed to drag trouble around. Speaking of trouble, the sudden screeching at the back door meant the harpies Sakura and Ino had arrived. Nothing against the girls themselves, but they’ve always seemed a bit vain and boy crazy. At least Sakura seemed smart, if she ever matured she would become an excellent shinobi.
Naruto seemed to notice them as well, leaving his seat briefly to greet the pink haired girl. Y/N couldn’t help but feel bad when she all but plowed through him to preen at Sasuke, who they just noticed was sitting next to Naruto. Their view was blocked by the crowd of girls that had gathered, all screaming about wanting to sit next to Sasuke, but the sudden silence that fell over them let Y/N know that something big had just happened. Whatever it was, it was bad enough to send the girls into a feeding frenzy. The malice radiating off of them was practically visible, and Y/N thanked whatever god was up there that they had never been the subject of such a beating.
When Iruka-sensei finally entered the classroom, the girls had already finished with Naruto and he had managed to crawl his way back to his seat, right next to Sakura of all people. Y/N switched their attention over to the man standing at the front of the room, they would be getting assigned to their ninja teams today, and it was important that they actually listened. They didn’t have anyone in particular that they wanted on their team, but they hoped for someone calm and willing to work with others. Maybe the Hyuuga girl, Hinata, though she seemed a bit quiet.
Y/N’s thoughts were interrupted once again, “Alright everyone, I’m going to start listing off your new teams, so make sure to pay attention. Now, because our class has one too many students, one of these teams is going to have four people.”
Four students? Y/N always felt a bit out of place, happening to be the fourth person on their bench, but that had just been coincidence. They hoped they weren't cursed to be the odd man out on their squad, they always worked better in smaller groups anyways. They would find out soon enough though, their name hadn’t been called yet.
“Team 7,” Iruka called out, “You guys are going to be our four man squad, with Naruto, Sakura,” Y/N hears some cheering and groaning to their left. “Sasuke,” Again. “And finally, the fourth member is going to be, Y/N!” Fuck.
Iruka immediately moves on, leaving Y/N to contemplate their sudden awful luck. They just had to be stuck with the most annoying students in the school. Y/N slumped over in their seat, there was no point in listening now, they could just lay down and wait for lunch to be called. At least this time could be spent daydreaming about their future, who their sensei might be, all the awesome missions they would go on. Maybe life wasn’t going to be too bad, they just had to focus on training and relaxing where they could.
By the time lunch came around, Y/N was more exhausted than they thought they would be. After the announcement of Sasuke’s team, the classroom had been filled with complaints from several girls. They hoped no one would start harassing them for being paired with him, but seeing the offhand sneers thrown their way, lunch would most likely need to be held away from everyone. As soon as Iruka-sensei announced the last team, they gathered their belongings and headed to one of the many benches lining the school's property.
All they had was a simple bento, some leftovers they saved from last night's dinner, but they weren’t feeling picky today. After their luck with team selections, they figured it would be safer to just accept whatever was thrown at them. Letting out an exaggerated sigh, they dug into their meal, eating with one hand as they pulled out a book to read after they finished. It was an older novel, something off the shelf they had probably read a hundred times before, despite the concerning pile they had yet to start on. Their family ran a small publishing company in Konoha and had enlisted Y/N as an assistant. They had worked with several big name authors before, but they always liked the small, local titles. There was more heart, more passion for what was written.
They hadn’t even packed up their bento when they saw Sakura walk past them, she was mumbling something about Sasuke and foreheads, “Hey, Sakura,” They regretted starting this conversation as soon as they spoke. “I already ate but if you want, we can sit together for the rest of lunch and get to know each other before we meet our sensei?” She didn’t even offer a response, only pausing slightly before turning her nose up and glaring at them from the side. She resumed her walking with more energy but did not call out for Sasuke again, merely sitting on the bench one down from theirs. Despite the massive failure in team bonding, Y/N was not surprised at the results.
They watched the girl slump over quietly for a second before she jolted up. Looking for what had caught her attention, they saw Sasuke leaning on a tree across from her. For a minute, they just watched as the two stared at each other, Sakura occasionally turning her head in embarrassment. She dropped her head again just as Sasuke started moving towards her, though what he called out left them struggling not to interrupt the moment, “Sakura, your forehead, it’s so wide and charming. It makes me feel like kissing it.” They stared at each other for another moment before Sasuke spoke again, “Just kidding, that’s something that idiot Naruto would say.”
Clearly, that isn’t what Sakura wanted to hear, but Sasuke paid no attention and sat down next to her. She looked up at him again when he asked her a question, “So, what do you think about Naruto?”
She answered in a whisper, Y/N had to scootch over to hear her, “He knows about how I feel and still tries to bother me everyday; it’s like he does it on purpose, like he wants me to feel bad. Naruto, he doesn’t know anything about me, he’s just a pest. All I really want is for you to notice me, Sasuke.” They couldn’t see his face, but he had stuttered something back, and Sakura confirmed whatever he had just said, “Yeah, that’s how I feel, I’d do anything.”
Y/N was leaning off of the bench now, desperate to catch any detail. When they saw Sakura start leaning in to kiss him, they had to stop themselves from gasping loudly. Just as it seemed they were about to make contact, Sasuke suddenly jerked away and ran off holding his stomach. They sat back up in their seat to avoid being caught spying and watched, wide-eyed, as Sasuke ran back into the school building while Sakura called after him. After a minute of waiting, Y/N and Sakura saw Sasuke walking down the path again. She immediately jumped up and started rambling about kissing, asking him if he was ready this time.
Much to their surprise, Sasuke just ignored her and kept walking forward, head on a swivel like he was searching for someone. Sakura interrupted herself in confusion, “Hey, Sasuke, where are you going?”
He ignored her again and asked his own question, “Naruto, where is he?”
Her back was facing them, but Sasuke’s uninterested face was in full view as Sakura began ranting again. “Why are you changing the subject again? Anyways, forget Naruto! All he does is pick fights with you. Y’know why he’s so annoying? It’s ‘cause he wasn’t raised right, he doesn’t have a mom or dad to teach him how to behave!”
Y/N stared in disbelief, eyes widening in shock at Sakura’s words. Was that really what she thought? They were surprised Sasuke didn’t have anything to say, all he did was continue to ignore her and look around halfheartedly. Wasn’t he an orphan as well?
Sakura continued, not realizing that the boy in front of her wasn’t paying attention, “Just think about it! He does whatever he wants, as soon as it comes into head!”
Sasuke finally snapped out of his daze, stiffly turning his head to glare at Sakura. The malice he radiated was enough to make them shiver.
Sakura continued, every word only making him more furious, “If I acted like Naruto? Forget it! I mean, my parents would get mad and I’d get in trouble, why would I ever mess around like that? But, I guess, if you don’t have parents to punish you, how would you know? He’s just selfish and bratty, it’s no wonder he’s all alone.”
His scowl deepened before he looked down, his eyes closing and his fists clenching in anger as he stepped to the side, preparing to walk away. “Alone… Isolated…” Sakura threw her head up, finally stopping her rant. “It has nothing to do with whether your parents scold you or not, you have no idea what it means to be alone.”
She took a step backwards, her arms raising slightly, “Why, why are you saying all this?!”
Sasuke turned his head, glaring viciously at her, “Because, you’re annoying.”
Without waiting for her to respond, he walked away. Sakura stood there, staring after his retreating form, before stumbling backwards and slumping down on the bench. Y/N followed her lead, pushing out a breath they didn’t know they were holding, eyes wide as saucers. Hesitantly, they started gathering their belongings, occasionally glancing over at the despondent girl. She had hunched over, gripping her hair and making faces. They considered checking on her, but they wanted to give her some space after that show.
Just as they were about to stand, Naruto finally made an appearance, clutching his stomach and grumbling to himself. Their eyes darted over to Sakura, watching as she made a face like she smelled something horrible. She seemed to collect herself before calling out to the boy, though her expression never dropped.
“Hey, Naruto…! We should walk back to class together.”
She let out a strained chuckle, messing with the fabric at the front of her dress. Naruto stood for a second, seemingly awestruck, before his expression quickly turned sour.
“Trying to trick me, huh, wise guy? Well, I’m not falling for it!”
Naruto brings his hands in front of himself, moving to perform a jutsu, a determined look on his face. He opened his mouth to call out his move, pausing before he could utter a sound, and let out a groan. He clutched his stomach, hunching over. He stumbled backwards, turned shakily, and ran back towards the school building, screaming.
“Again? Why is this happening to me!?”
Y/N and Sakura stared as he bolted, waiting in bated breath for something to break the silence. It seemed that Sakura would be doing the honors, though. As she started to make a choking noise, they turned to look at her, watching as she shook her head in anger. They jumped back in their seat when she threw her head up and cursed Naruto out.
“Naruto, you idiot!”
At that, Y/N decided to leave the girl to her rage. Getting up from their bench silently, they walk back into the school and decide to spend the little time left of lunch reading. As they pass the bathrooms, they crash into Sasuke.
“Oh, shit. I’m so sorry-”
“Tch, whatever. What do you want?”
They blink dumbly while Sasuke’s scowl deepens. Just as he moves to push past them, Y/N scoffs loudly and continues on their way, shoving him to the side with their shoulder. They ignore the indignant sounds coming from the boy, and keep walking towards the classroom.
The rest of the day went by slowly, and now it was just waiting for their new sensei. Supposedly, they were a Jonin; with how late they were, Y/N was surprised they even graduated. They were seated a few seats next to Sasuke, everyone had congregated to the front of the room after all the other jonin had taken their students. Naruto had taken to pacing and Sakura mumbled to herself every so often nearby. It seemed like they were all just waiting for something to happen, luckily Naruto couldn’t go too long without complaining.
“Come on, man! Everyone else has already left, how come our sensei is so late?! Even Iruka-sensei went home already!”
Sakura piped in, “Naruto, calm down. Even if he's late, we need to be respectful. He’s a jonin after all.” Despite her calm words, you could tell even she was starting to get tired of waiting.
“No way! If he’s gonna be this late, I'm gonna teach him a lesson!” Y/N barely lifts a finger to stop Naruto from balancing an eraser on the door, this could potentially be the funniest thing they’d ever seen.
It seemed the rest of their teammates had the same idea, as they only offered minor complaints and warnings that a jonin wouldn’t fall for a prank like that. Now that the trap had been set though, it was only time until it got set off. Almost immediately, a hand grabbed onto the door.
Everyone sat with bated breath as the door creaked open and the eraser landed on the head of a gray haired jonin. He’s… so young.
Naruto burst out laughing instantly, ignoring the heated glare of the older ninja in front of him, “Hahaha! I can’t believe it! This guy’s supposed to be a powerful ninja?”
“Naruto!” Sakura scolded, “I tried to stop him sir, I would never do something like this!” Y/N scoffed under their breath, unknowingly drawing the attention of Sasuke and their new leader.
Sasuke’s eyes flickered over to them for a moment before resting his gaze back on their teacher.
“Well, regardless.” The older teen scowled, “I’d have to say, I think you’re all a bunch of idiots. Now, follow me to the roof.”

Asked for some yokai fusions on reddit, this is the first batch
L-R: Frostysol, Nonoko, Venyan, Lord Lie-in, Slimatina, Whisbuzz
Some thoughts on these designs under the cut
Yayyyyyy thoughts on these because I like talking, esp about my creative process
Frostysol: I WILL SAY RIGHT NOW I KNOW I FUCKED UP THE KOSODE MASSIVELY, IT DOESN’T HAVE SLEEVES & IT’S TOO BIG….. I literally only had two ideas for this desgin, one was inspired by the yuki onna segment's backgrounds from Kwaidan & the other was inspired by the spirits from Kuro Neko. The eyes in the backgrounds of yuki onna were so striking & I had just watched the movie recently so it was still fresh in my mind. I knew I wanted her to be closer to a real yuki onna rather than just a cute snow girl spirit. And in that regard Kuro Neko helped with that. I guess subconsciously I wanted her to give off vibes of an unsuspecting girl who kills you & turns out to be a yokai. I thought a kosode would make more sense historically than a random cape, but also idk if young girls wore kosode like that or if it was just adult women. Had no ideas how to incorporate pallysol so I just used him for little details. He's more prevalent in the design intentionally than physically
Nonoko: Pretty simple what do I say. Uh I thought I could do a clover for the tail rather than a heart like Bloominoko. Wanted to make him even fatter than he is cuz he's Noko x2, also made his spots clover shaped cuz what's more lucky than a four leafed clover? An eight leafed clover! Or two four leafed clovers..... Also gave him double teeth & some little wing shaped clovers on his head kinda like Dudunsparce. This one didn't have a lot of thought go into it, I just kinda did what felt natural
Venyan: The first thing I thought about was what colour to make the fur & what colour to make the hair. I decided on red hair cuz it would pop more with dark blue fur. Also made his face pattern a part of his hair cuz he doesn’t have enough room on his face for it with Venocts bangs. I wanted him to be kind of a shitty little bastard, a real cat kinda cat. A good mix of their personalities y’know. Didn’t have much going on with this design either other than I didn’t want the scarf to be all bulky with the dragons cuz Jibanyan is very squart, so I moved them to the tails. Also just because that looks cooler. Had a hell of a time drawing them, I have experience drawing dragons but I’ve always been bad at drawing them roaring or snarling, they look okay but not great.
Lord Lie-in: Also had a bit of trouble combining these two, makes sense cuz I put this one off for more than a few weeks. Didn’t wanna give him big spiky saiyan hair so he got some stray hairs in the front. Took his face framing bangs & tied them up cuz I always like that look (They’re two different pieces tied individually then tied together, so there’s two mini ponytails instead of one. Also had to deliberate on the hair colours cuz I knew I wanted him to have white fur. One of my favourites was red hair with light blue ends but I didn’t go with that one cuz his outfit is mostly red. I also DID NOT feel like giving him a whole kimono (mostly for silhouette reasons) so I just gave him Miku-like sleeves. I originally wanted to give him split leg hakama but when looking at reference I remembered “Oh yeah these things have a lot of pleats & the crotch is pretty low so that’s not great for the silhouette I have in mind.” I gave him harem-esque pants & if you look closely at the upper thigh you can see a little slit in the side of them. Underneath his waist plate & top, the pants tie together like hakama do so I guess I got the hakama in a little bit. I didn’t have any room for his arm warmers so I made them into gloves & gave him the kind of socks that I don’t know what they’re called (Catra has them & I think they’re cool). Also gave him tengu cuz they look cooler than whatever Lie-in Heart has going on. Also cuz it makes him more like “Woah what a bold guy/character!!” And don’t ask how the sword fits in that sheath, idk magic or something he’s the king of the yokai he can do whatever he wants
Slimatina (or Frostymander): Again not much going on here it’s pretty simple. Gave the lower body muscles cuz I noticed the lower body of Slimamander kind of looked like a chest & also just cuz that makes it more creepy. I gave the main body/head some hair clips resembling the patterns on the bulbs of the other heads. Also made the openings in the head look more like a woman’s mouth cuz again, makes it creepy, but also I just thought it would fit more with the Frostina part. Also gave the main heads head eyelashes that look like the openings on the other heads. Decided to give her a cape this time cuz I’m not fuckin around with another kosode. I don’t know if it comes off in the piece but I wanted her cape to be flying up like she just summoned a harsh wind. Last thing is I gave her an eye ornament on her obi & a specially tied obijime cuz I saw one tied like that on google & I thought it looked cute
Whisbuzz: YET AGAIN SAY IT WITH ME! NOT! MUCH! GOING! ON!!!!!! Uhh gave him a frown cuz he’s depressed or whatever, made the top of his hood look like Whispers…… ahoge???? Made his wings wispy on the ends. That’s about it. Fun fact before I drew that one I had another one but I scrapped it because it looked too much like a sperm cell :]

hello!! i saw the tags on your pinned post abt how shoujo wasn't just romance and it got me curious bc i've read some nice shoujo but really dislike romance-heavy plots. are there any shoujos you like that don't have much or any romance in them? ty and i hope you have a good day! 💛
Oh, there are lots of mangas that are classified as shoujo and don't have romance!!
I am just now beginning my journey through shoujo as well, so I don't have a lot of recommendations for stuff I actually read, but the ones I did read or watch so far are:
Natsume Yuujinchou and basically anything else by its author, Yuki Midorikawa. Sometimes, her works do include romance, but the focus is almost always in the interpersonal relationships and the difficulties her characters go through in life. NatsuYuu is about an orphan boy who can see yokai, and for that reason he acts in "weird" ways and his foster families dislike him, so he keeps going from family to family. The story is about how he finds a good family who accepts and loves him, makes friends, and learns to make friends even with yokais.
There are currently 6 anime seasons out, and a 7th season is on its way, so you can either read the manga or watch the anime.
Tumblr media
Akatsuki no Yona - i mean, this one does include romance, but i'll still put it on the list because as far as the anime went the focus is heavy on Yona's actual journey to gather the dragons of legend to be able to recover the kingdom that was stolen from her. It shows how Yona goes from a sheltered spoiled girl to a person befitting the title of dragon king.
Tumblr media
My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom - this one is the og villainess isekai and it truly deserves the hype. It is about a girl who wakes up in the child body of the villainess of her favorite otome game. She remembers that the villainess' fate in the game was always either death or exile, so she tries her hardest to change her fate. This one is classified as a reverse harem, but the main character is pretty oblivious and worries more about farming and eating sweets and generally being the best girl ever than actually worrying about romance. Aro ace queen tbh. And her harem is just happy to be with her and be dragged along for her stupid adventures. Plus, the female members of her harem are taken seriously as well, Mary is a raging lesbian and it is not subtext. I mean, it is a shoujo, so of course the female characters would be important lol.
Tumblr media
Usagi Drop - listen to me. You will absolutely not look for anything related to this manga. If you like the premise you can watch the anime. But, please, do not look for the manga. You will only be extremely disappointed by it. That being said, I recommend the anime. It is about a man who returns home for his grandfather's funeral and then finds out his grandfather had an illegitimate daughter who has now become an orphan. He ends up having to take care of her because the rest of the family considers her a shame to the family.
Tumblr media
Now, for the stuff I havent seen yet, I'll just write some that are on my "plan to read" list and put their genres next to their names so you can check it out if you think the genre's sound interesting:
7 Seeds (drama, horror, psychological, sci fi, survival)
Requiem of the Rose King (drama, historical, supernatural, gender identity)
Basara (drama, fantasy, adventure) (i think this one has romance, but from what i've heard, the main character's story is a lot deeper as she takes her brother's identity in order to fight against the king who killed her brother, it is pretty famous and considered a classic)
Ghost Hunt (horror, mystery, psychological, supernatural)
Helter Skelter (horror, psychological)
My Stepmother and Stepsisters aren't Wicked (comedy, historical, slice of life)
Ikoku Nikki (drama) (this one is the one i'm currently most interested on, i hear it's about a distant woman who's never had a good relationship with her sister and now has to take care of her teenage niece because her sister died)
Itsuwari no Freya (crossdressing, historical)
Limit (drama, psychological, school) (this one sounds incredible tbh, on a field trip their bus gets into an accident and only 5 girls remain, having to learn to survive and trying to assert themselves over one another because they hate each other.)
Machida-kun no sekai (school)
Mitarai-ke, Enjou suru (drama) (the main character wants to infiltrate the household of the family who blamed her mother for a fire, in order to prove her mother's innocence)
Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You (comedy)
Uramichi Oniisan (comedy, showbiz, workplace)
Usotoki Rhetoric (mystery, historical)
Don't Call It Mystery (mystery)
If anyone has more things to recommend I would also love to hear about it!!

Plot Bunny - I’m a Slave for You (YokaiRuleEarth!Rottmnt!Donnie x Slave!Reader)
Draxum’s dreams realized without his hand, the Hidden City has grown and taken over so that yokai rule the world. This uprising happens sometime around when the turtles are tots (maybe 4/3/2). Not all humans are livestock, some cities they live happily side by side, it just depends on where you live (human rights a travesty irl fuck), but basically the boys are now grown and living in the Hidden City proper. It’s the capital and where Yokai reign their supreme order from. The turtles are a big deal from being heroes (they still defeated the Krang) and they've got mad skills (maybe a little tactical treat). It’s placed them high in Yokai society and they take advantage of it. Where we enter, they are living the high life of indulgence. They live on this lavish estate with different houses that they each occupy. Leo and Donnie are on the council (the council of heads but anew for this version of society). ANYWAY, in the city it's very old school so they are encouraged to have human pets/slaves and each handles it differently in an exaggeration of tendencies I see for them. For Raph this is having a core set (I was thinking three ala Tengen from Demon Slayer) and a few kids. Mikey has a harem and his is run almost like a 70s free love cult (ala Klaus Umbrella Academy). Leo switches CONSTANTLY and Reader is leading the story and is Donnie's first.
Are you invested yet? Read the entire plot bunny by joining the 1$ a month tier, afreakingreader, over on my patreon!
FAQ:
What is this?
Did you know that when I’m not writing, I’m writing? By definition a plot bunny is “a story idea that refuses to go away until it is written.” Basically even though Weak Spot takes up 99% of my thought processes, the other 1% of my mind is still overflowing with creative. I’ve got to write these bad boys down and bring them to a sort of fruition. What you will find if you subscribe is a fully realized idea in outline form. It only isn’t a true ‘completed’ fic because it doesn’t have any of the nuance I would put into writing. That being said it is 'done’ in my mind because I have no plan to turn it into a fully realized work.
Why is this behind a paywall?
Now fan fiction can exist using elements of copyrighted material because it is free. I don’t claim to own or have any affiliation with The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or their properties. I do claim that the unique concept of my creations and my time which is wholly my own. When you support me on Patreon, you are not paying for the work itself (all my work is free), you are instead paying for my time and to get behind the scenes content and insight into my writing. Here, since these are not 'completed’ works and instead 'outlines,’ they fit into the behind the scenes box.
What are the tags on this?
I'm a Slave for You is rated Explicit, afab reader, there's some gruesome injuries, deals with human slaves and the anxieties that go with it, fears of breaking the mold, but is really more about breaking out of confines and that society can't truly dictate who you are, also sub Donnie

Sannyo Miko rivalry?
(Miko's guest appearance is now officially old news, so I can finally post stuff)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Does anyone think these duels will become some kind of fanon rivalry and take off? Or a ship possibly. Rivalries tend to form ships, which would definitely be funny. adding her to Miko's Marisa sized harem. Sannyo destroyed Mamizou in their game so it's kinda cute seeing Sannyo get stupefied and publicly defeated by Touhou's biggest show off.
Tumblr media
Look at this adorable perplexed face.
Tumblr media
Though in all probably, Miko doesn't really care much about the gambling and is probably just using this display to lure out the all geidontei Yokai.
Though maybe she does enjoy the games. Who knows?

Barbatos Costumes: The Good, The Bat
Okay! The Good, the Bat and the Ugly is a go!
Tumblr media
Demon form! 10/10 My favorite Demon form and in my not at ALL humble opinion his is the most unique and interesting. That 300 raven was a total pain and took over a year to save up because of emergency vouchers. Silly beginner me had the lofty goal of getting everyone's Akuzon costumes when I started the game.
Continues at length under there
I wasn't into the ruffles, initially, but over time I've come to adore them. I hate drawing this costume. He's so freaking pretty 😫 His design is so stylish! I thought his spooky little horns resemble fossilized wings (Which are totally not like Handia's lol) and that made me wonder if he is much older than the others (lol yes) or if he has ancient Demon features. His long tail evokes amphibian and serpent and is a fresh twist on the traditional forked tail. On that subject I have never had the chance to hold an amphibian, so would his tail be super smooth, warm and slick like...the interior of the mouth or more like a cold, wet puppy nose? Lukewarm? I wonder if due to its nature that he has a special beauty routine/hygiene for his tail or if there is a degree of self cleansing. Does the "glistening sheen" have any rumors of psychedelic or magic effects? Does it get drippy?
Dame It's OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAND it just needs a nice tight corset! Dame opportunity, heh
Tumblr media
Goth Card already discussed, but it's a solid 1000/100
Tumblr media
Arabian Look 8.5/10
Tumblr media
Already discussed, but GOD. He is practically naked, the Barbie toes, the shoulders, the fingerless opera length gloves, THAT WAIST AND LOW CUT TOP. The pashmina bulking out his hips in that weird bow and dragging around on the ground subtracted points.
Bonus Harem Butler. H0mos3xual hedonism unquestionably happened after this photo and Demonus was finished 😏
Tumblr media
Animal Look 8/10
Tumblr media
This was the first costume I could unlock for him! I love it! I love anything that gives him the illusion of an hourglass figure. The outfit looks so soft and cute and his big ol' adorable ears having cute fluffs is one time I'm not a stickler about accuracy. It would have an 9/10 (by Obey Me standards) but those high heel sneakers pain me so much. His tail being under his coat made him immune during Tail Thieves even if he was a target. But it also hides his long r-a-t like tail lmao Otherwise it's a Turn around~ Turn your ass back around~ I like his little hip peek. On his sprite his nails are unpainted, but in the chat art his nails are.
Happy Devil Day 2022 7.5/10
Tumblr media
THIS is Ruffle Maxxing. It's an unusual color choice for him, but he rocks it. The big bow kind of detracts from it, but I adore stars.
Most Beautiful of Baby Girls
Tumblr media
Vampire Hunter 7/10
Tumblr media
Already discussed, but he should be a Magical Girl. He loves Burgundy, but rarely gets to wear it so I know he jumped on the opportunity with both feet. His ruffles and nipped in vest are 💖
Human World 7/10
Tumblr media
Not a lot to say, I dig the contrasting soles!
Yokai 7/10
Tumblr media
I wonder if Levi feels even more inadequate. 🤔Barbatos's serpent tail is THICK.
HDD 2021 Card Version 8.5/10
I love the card version SO MUCH. It's beautiful! I love his hands with Diavolo's. I hope they danced until they were dizzy and laughing their tipsy/drunk butts off
Tumblr media
Baby Girl, Baby 😢 I wonder why his tail is so bright though? Surely that a specific meaning?

Adajima fic (romance companion to "Lost in the arms of destiny") - part 2
The day after is awkward, starting with Ryotaro almost attacking his husband, because he had changed into his god form to sleep, which was far more intimidating, and unknown to the human. Ryotaro also doesn't know how to act (and process everything that has happened), and magatsu-Izanagi feels smug as a cat when he watches the human's skin, all the bruises and marks he has etched on his wife to claim him. In the morning, Magatsu-Izanagi presents to Ryotaro the two kitsune that will be his guides and maids while he's adapting, and will help him with more mundane tasks as well.
After he was given leave to clean himself and dressed in more understated silks (though still far too luxurious for his taste) meant for married women, Magatsu-Izanagi guided him through the castle, pointing out places of interest, the logistics of what he would be responsible for. Most of it was similar enough to what he had done on Inaba for him to not feel too overwhelmed, though that changed when magatsu-Izanagi showed him his personal study, and where the god stored all the petitions he received for the punishment of mortals and humans especially.
"I don't think you need a wife to deal with this, you need a whole harem, and enough time without new complaints to be able to make a dent into your archives," Ryotaro said, observing how more scrolls simply popped into existence, multiplying easily, and how the room seemed to grow to accommodate it.
"I told you I disliked humanity, do you now understand why? Every minor or major God sends their grudges to me, wanting humans to suffer for their transgressions. The only way I would have been able to clear this would be if I was able to bend reality and time, but those are not within my purview. Even if I worked every day and night here and at the start I did, I would never be able to dispatch everything." his husband's voice was low, a thread of irritation becoming apparent in his posture.
Ryotaro asked if anything there could be thrown away, considering some humans would have surely died, and it didn't make sense to keep requests he couldn't really fulfill, and learned most of servants had given up trying to classify the scrolls, because they couldn't keep it tidied, and no matter how they much they tried, there was always more.
Ryotaro had the idea to ask for a moratorium from Izanagi — if Magatsu-Izanagi was free to not work during the first period of their marriage, it made sense to ask the other God for a break from the scrolls too, so they could try and make a difference.
"Well, it's better than nothing. I will ask my brother later today. Will you coordinate efforts? It is only right for you to do so, wife, considering the idea is yours" his husband (and how strange that is) says, and Ryotaro has to agree.
The project goes slowly, and Ryotaro in the mean time learns more about the types of Yokai his husband has as subjects, their habits, names and positions in their lands, and how to act as the 'lady' of their country.
Sometimes, at night, his heart constricts at the idea he left Nanako alone — even if he knows the villagers would do their best to care for her in his stead, it should have been his duty, and his pleasure, and how much time he lost with her, because of his grief...
And he can't change anything.
His 'husband' is less than enthusiastic about letting him go anywhere outside their lands, and Ryotaro can understand some of it —they are barely married, it would reflect badly on him if they parted so soon, but he is human, not a Godly being, and the days passing mean something to him, knowing he has left so much behind.
The only thing he can't really complain is his husband's talents at bed play, nor his attentions — it had been a long time since he was touched so much, or had received pleasure constantly, learned so much about his body and what it could do — more than once, he thought it was the God's way of occupying his time, when he wasn't ordering about an army of servants in his husband's workroom or trying to learn the intricacies of behavior in a Godly court.
It takes the equivalent of three months, and an almost literal army of workers to clear the room of every outdated and worthless scroll.
In the meantime, he has survived four assassination attempts, saw his husband destroy one of the assassins, body, mind and soul while in his God form, and had to become used to it, because Magatsu-Izanagi refused to sleep in his human form after the second attempt.
It would be easier, if he didn't know exactly how powerful magatsu-Izanagi was, nor felt the malice directed at the spirit tasked with the assassination. He hadn't been able to sleep during the night, because of the God curled around him, clawed fingers he had seen cut through matter and energy as if paper around his waist, the echoing tortured scream of pain ringing in his ears still.
The only consolation he had was that if Magatsu-Izanagi wanted him dead, he would already be.

Rosario Vampire Review
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I was a teenager, I used to stay home sick to watch "Rosario Vampire" on Netflix. I fell in love with the show, it's what really got me into the romance genre; and more specifically the harem genre.
Years later, I decided to revisit it by reading the manga. To my disappointment, the anime is much better; and to your disappointment, this review will be focusing on the Manga.
TLDR: Rosario Vampire is a decent manga with subpar romance and middle of the road action and comedy
Summary: My favourite loser Tsukune Aono, after failing the entrance exam of most high schools, ends up enrolled into the mysterious Yokai Academy, a monster academy where he is the only human! Will he be able to survive the school year without anyone finding out? And which of these hot monster girls will he date?
Romance: The romance is infrequent and often surface level; and it's mostly just between Tsukune and Moka Akashiya, a vampire he meets on the first day. The other girls - Kurumu Kurono, Yukiri Sendo, and Mizore Shrayuki - often show their affection, but Tsukune never sees them as anything other than friends. The main focus seems to be more about the action rather than romance.
Action: The fights tend to boil down to waiting until the strongest character gets there then the fight is over. In the first two volumes, that character was the Moka that is sealed in the rosarie, but after the third volume Tsukune gets some powers of his own, and the two tend to both have the role. Even then, most of the time the fight is won in a single hit, leaving much to be desired
Rosario Vampire was first published for Shonen Jump as one chapter per issue, which is so baked into the manga's structure that it shapes how the story is told. Everything is done very quickly, as most problems appear and disappear within a chapter or two, and introductions are done multiple times for readers jumping into the midpoint. While this by itself is not a bad thing, where Rosario Vampire goes wrong is a lack of character development and build to the romance - both caused by a rigid formula of "meet problem and kick it in the face".
The character development, or lack thereof, is what really bogs down the whole story - especially Tsukune's feelings of not wanting to ask for help. As a human in a school of monsters, it is understandable that he would feel weak and isolated. As you read further, you see that Tsukune is quite talented at being honest with both his words and actions. He even gets combat strength once he gets some vampire powers, yet still mopes about how he can't protect people. Multiple chapters end with one of Tsukune's suitors telling him outright that they want to be relied on and he should talk to them about his problems, for it all to be gone by the next chapter. Rosario Vampire wants the reader to see Tskune as a cool character, but even after getting power, and more used to the school, he still mopes about being a loser. The most notable time is near the end when - even after everyone puts together their energy to save the school and the world - only one chapter later, Tsukune wonders if he really protected anyone at all - simply because he needed help to do so.
The romance, as previously stated, is very light. More of a frosting to the cake rather than a well-integrated part of the manga. I had hoped for more of it, as this is a work that heavily influenced the harem genre, and the first chapter is when Moka and Tsukune meet and form a bond.
Most episodes do include one of the suitors, most often Kurumu, being very hands-on with Tsukune with no extra development. There is no real building of the relationships. The only chapters that focus on it, aside from those not introducing a new love interest, are the last two chapters of the entire manga - where they celebrate at the school festival. Tsukune doesn't see anyone but Moka as potential romantic partners, leaving the rest of the suitors trying to get any attention just to be left in the dust.
But the worst part is the story. A few times, the problem is only there for a volume but taints the rest of the series, such as the fascist tone the manga has around the outcast "half-bloods" fighting for better treatment. The catchphrase of the sealed Moka being "know your place"  gets put into a new worse light.
There are other problems that plague the entire manga. The sexualization of high schoolers and the most common threat being that of sexual assault will make a lot of people reasonably have a hard time reading Rosario Vampire. Even without these, the story can't stand on its own, only being there to build to the next fight.
Rosario Vampire is better than the sum of its parts, all of them being below average at best. If you want a quick story to read then it would not be the worst option. The beginning and the last two chapters are where it is best, look past the flaws and enjoy a silly story underneath. I avoided talking about the anime in this review because I wanted to have the manga stand up on its own merits, and lack thereof. I would recommend it over the manga as it improves a lot of the aspects. Even with the flaws in the anime it is worth watching for fans of the harem genre and newcomers alike.

Animes That Fans Are Still Waiting To See Sequels For
With the recent premiere of the second season of Clone High through HBO’s Max streaming service and Netflix’s second season of the reboot of Bastard!; long suffering fans are finally getting more of the animated shows that they have spent over ten years waiting for. Hopefully streaming services will continue to listen to the people and start doing more reboots and sequels to what fans want to see. Here’s a list of seven other anime shows that anime fans are still waiting to see:
Tumblr media
School Rumble
School Rumble is the anime adaptation of the Slice of Life, Romantic-Comedy manga of the same name by Jin Kobayashi. This over 20 episode animated series follows the ditzy but lovable, Tenma Tsukamoto, and the former delinquent who loves her, Kenji Harima. This show was brilliantly written with amazing comedic moments surrounding the typical misunderstandings and awkward moments among teenagers, along with personal revelations. School Rumble was definitely a show that would delight many within the Shoujo or Shonen fan-base, however the ending of the series seemed unfinished and left much to be desired.
Tumblr media
Ouran Host Club
Take Hana Kimi and mash it together with Boys Over Flowers, and you get Ouran Host Club. Based off of the 2002-2010 manga by Bisco Hatori, the genderbending reverse harem anime continues to have a dedicated fan base still aching for more episodes. This anime follows the gender non-conforming Haruhi Fujioka who attends a prestigious private school on scholarship, and is forced to pay back a debt working as a host club member. Despite being a comedy this show has compelling character arcs and emotional moments, with positive LGBT+ representation. Since the anime concluded before the manga’s completion there’s definitely still plenty of story to tell and this show could easily follow in the footsteps of FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood or Hellsing Ultimate.
Tumblr media
Kamisama Kiss
Having an original air date of 2012 this anime is based off the 25 volume long manga series by Julietta Suzuki of the same name. This show followed the recently homeless Tomoe who becomes a minor deity and gets a handsome yet short tempered fox yokai for a servant. This show had a nice concept with many lovable characters in the Supernatural genre with Romantic-Comedic elements to the story. Despite having two seasons, the story’s ending didn’t feel complete and hopefully one day fans can get more.
Tumblr media
Utena: Revolutionary Girl
For so many people this 1997 anime was an introduction to the world of anime and manga and is highly regarded for its art style, and LGBT+ and Feminist themes. The anime is based off of the manga written by Chiho Saito of the Magical Girl, Action, and Fantasy genres. This story follows Utena Tenjou, a new girl at school who becomes involved in a secret European-style duel competition for “The Rose Bride.” The bride in question is a quiet and mysterious girl named Anthy Himemiya who is often treated more as a prop and less as a person. Utena fights frequently to defend Anthy yet is sadly betrayed by someone she considered a good friend. The anime ends with Anthy going out to search for Utena but we never know what happens after the fact. Even the anime film adaptation ends with no clear resolution so a reboot or a sequel series to settle people’s questions would be a great form of closure to the old fans while catching the interest of the new ones.
Tumblr media
Mermaid Forest
After the success of Inuyasha, Ranma ½, and Urusei Yatsura, Rumiko Takahashi has no shortage of fans who would check out anything with her name attached. Back in the early 2000s there was an anime adaptation of her 1994 manga of the same name. In this anime the show’s two leads, Yuta and Mana, have been given immortality after consuming mermaid flesh which arguably the better of the two possible side effects. For the better part of the series the anime follows these two around during their travels until they run into another, much older immortal, who has developed an amoral personality. Towards the end we never know the fate of the older immortal nor discover if there is any possibility to reverse the side effects of the mermaid flesh. The anime just sorta of ends, so a sequel or reboot would be greatly appreciated.
Tumblr media
Nightwalker: The Midnighter Detective
Anime fans who also enjoyed the Buffyverse spin-off Angel could easily adore the original 13 episode show. This late 90s horror-mystery anime follows the bishonen male lead, Shido Tatsuhiko, who fights to protect those from the harm or influence of terrible using vampiric abilities. One of the key figures to his past is the vampire Lord Cain who has semi-obsession with Shido and refuses to accept that he is no longer the killer he used to be and tries to get Shido to come back to him. The last episode ends with Shido experiencing the trauma of having to put down his teenage secretary, Riho Yamazaki, and being kissed by Cain who declares his love for Shido once more before fading away into darkness. This ending would’ve been fantastic as a season one finale but as a show one there just feels like so much that could be told.
Tumblr media
Descendants of Darkness
Based on the still on-going manga Yami no Matsuei, or Descendants of Darkness, this 2000 anime adaption is an excellent blend of mystery, dark fantasy, and supernatural with an extra helping of yaoi. The show’s lead is Asato Tsuzuki, a human turned shinigami who solves cases for the Spirit World alongside the recently murdered turned shinigami Hisoka Kurosaki. This anime did a marvelous job at keeping viewers guessing with different mysteries and entertained with action sequences. The artwork is magnificent as well. At the end of the show Hisoka pulls Asato out of a deep depression and they fight off the show’s overarching villain before concluding. However, since the manga has yet to officially end there’s still room to continue the story and there are many who would be eager to watch.

So my boyfriend and I are watching Kamisama Kiss, an anime that centers around the romance between a fox spirit and a young girl. However, its also a sortof reverse harem anime because a few of the other yokai spirits also catch feelings for her as well, but less in a manic pixie dream girl way and more in a what-a-goofball-way.
Its important to note that by happenstance said boyfriend is the only person in the polycule with multiple partners, and whom everyone in the polycule is dating.
Its also important to note the following exchange took place when we both were falling asleep.
Me: I love this anime but one of my biggest critiques are the side characters. Like they cant all be in love with her at the same time ya know?
Boyfriend:

Me: (dawning realization) Okay...so maybe...not completely....unrealistic.

Yandere! Yokai Harem Headcanons
Meet your (6) monster boyfriends!
Since the story will take a while to unfold, I decided to speed things up and properly introduce you to the characters. A little time skip to Reader becoming an onmyōji herself and renewing the bonds with the yokai men, this time at their request. They cannot bear the thought of separating from their darling and since she has reneged her life as a regular human being, someone has to keep her company. And so the days are spent exorcising evil spirits both in modern and feudal Japan, with a pack of demons following close behind.
[Main story] [Character Guide]
Content: female reader, monster smut, NSFW, obsessive behavior, reader is a monster hoe again but feigns mild reluctance
Tumblr media
Kiritsubo
Kiritsubo is your very first yokai encounter and he almost immediately falls for you. He's always been at the receiving end of his master's wrath for not being able to use his powers, so much that even after Nakamaro’s ‘death’ he couldn’t sleep without being plagued by horrid nightmares. His back is covered in thick scars from the frequent punishments. You first begun to suspect his background when you jumped in to protect him from an incoming blow and he froze in terror, unable to look up and awaiting the anticipated discipline.
Needles to say that when he learns you're not like the previous onmyōji he becomes extremely clingy and needy. He can only rest if you're next to him and will often hug you for reassurance. You've shared a bed before there was any hint of romance, simply because he found your presence so soothing. That's not to say he relies on you for everything. In fact, he unlocks his nearly unmatched abilities purely out of his desire to protect you. He’s found his purpose in serving you, someone who showed him kindness when he needed it most.
As you go out into the world, he begins to question his exact feelings for you. An example of his intense musings: he's asked you, perplexed, whether he can kiss you like the people he's seen on the street. He's spent his entire life being trained by Abe no Nakamaro, so he struggles to understand how relationships work. He will be utterly oblivious to other people flirting with him (it happens every now and then, he is a handsome demon after all), but simultaneously worry that everyone is out to have you. He’s already very salty about the other yokai joining your side and will frequently remind them he was the first to accept you.
When you complete your transition as an onmyōji, the priestess warns you that you may no longer partake in any kind of bonding with your fellow humans. Kiritsubo, seated next to you, responds almost instantly with eyes sparkling in excitement: "Well, that doesn’t extend to yokai, does it? I can still make you my wife.”
Kiritsubo is very clumsy when being intimate with you for the first time, but it doesn’t take long for him to become rather addicted to the feeling. You often have to scold him to behave and in return he’ll be pouting and fidgeting until you finally give in to his pleading gaze. He’s very vocal and touchy and will leave you covered in scratches from all the pulling. Towards the end he’s a drooling mess, mumbling about how much he loves you and begging you to never, ever leave him.
Murasaki
Murasaki is very cold and sarcastic on the surface, but you soon realize he is the most caring and responsible of the group, always looking out for everyone and trying to keep them out of trouble. In fewer words, he's almost like a tsundere mother hen (he won't hesitate to put you in a headlock if you mention it, though). He goes along with your wishes and will politely listen to anything you tell him, but to others he remains stoic and even rude. You’re sometimes reminded of the preferential treatment when witnessing his aggressive way of dealing with his suitors, shooing them away with the utmost disgusted scowl.
“Huh? Why can’t I be nicer to others? Bold of you to assume my tolerance is not, in fact, a limited resource spent entirely on dealing with you.”
He's been your guardian from the day you met him. He taught you how to use a sword and how to properly cast spells and seems to have a solution for all your troubles. When you introduced the yokai to the modern world you assumed he'd struggle to adapt, but he was extremely quick to learn and is, to this day, accumulating knowledge at a dizzying pace. One wouldn't be able to tell him apart from a regular city dweller. Murasaki is the concrete definition of a jack of all trades, excelling in whatever he sets his mind on.
Given his status and skills, the other yokai have always been rather jealous of him, including Kiritsubo. Ironically enough, by the time Murasaki accepted his infatuation towards you, you'd already gotten close to Kiritsubo. Which resulted in a lot of unexplained jealous bouts from a yokai too prideful to admit he loves you just as much. (You eventually get him to confess and reach the agreement to distribute the wealth among workers.)
He will occasionally be in a good enough mood to share with Kiritsubo, but it frequently results in a bizarre competition between them as you awkwardly squirm underneath, overstimulated. More often he prefers to pull you aside after you've done the deed with another yokai and aggressively fuck you as a way to assert his dominance. "Oh, was he that good? Then why are you moaning much louder now?" He'll demand with a firm grasp around your throat. Sadly his extreme competitiveness extends to this area as well.
Suma
Among the yokai, Suma is the most easygoing one despite his intimidating appearance. Most evenings he’ll have a drink in hand, eager to chitchat and ramble by the campfire, with his relaxed laughter resounding across the place. He is very loud and blunt and will often need to be reminded of the colossal power imbalance between him and regular humans and demons. Although after accidentally dislocating your shoulder (he was terribly amused by your joke and gave you a friendly pat), he’s gotten much better at adjusting the amount of force he uses, especially with you.
You’ve only witnessed him serious on two occasions: first one is a recurring event, when he’s training alone. When you’re together, he’s always in a merry mood, letting you try out moves and spells on him and frequently praising you even after failures. His whole demeanor changes when he’s by himself, swinging the spear with a calculated, focused gaze that remains unperturbed until the end of his session. The second case is when you get hurt. Now, he does encourage you to fight, and your confidence in battle is what caused him to fall head over heels in love with you. He will immediately put a stop to it, however, if the opponent ends up harming you. Seeing your lips curl in pain is enough to set him off and send him into a full blown rage.
Suma is destructive in all the ways you can think of. Given his massive size, as much as he’d love to, having his way with you is not something that can happen spontaneously. Borrowing his powers can of course help your frail body to not immediately tear apart, but depending on how much self control he has (or lack of), you might end up needing urgent healing from Sakaki. Suma will be extremely apologetic for nearly fucking you to death, but you’d be lying if you said you didn’t enjoy it. A more common approach is riding his hand, as one or two fingers are enough to make you dizzy. He’ll be satisfied just hearing your needy whimpers. He also adores watching you whenever you give him handjobs as your little, delicate hands struggle to hold onto him. You’re insignificant compared to him and yet you persevere, feisty and horny. His precious, tiny warrior.
Yuugiri
Yuugiri is by nature a manipulative, masterful liar, so it comes as no surprise that you had a hard time trusting him in the beginning. His habit of teasing you certainly didn’t help, as you could never tell whether he’s serious about something or not. Perhaps the greatest irony is that even when he tries to be honest, it comes out crooked. Such is the fate of a deceiving demon, although most people are only familiar with fox spirits. On his end, he loves that you’re so transparent and obvious, even occasionally naive. And so it took a lot of awkward pleading to convince you to renew a binding contract with him, given everyone was suspecting him of ulterior motives.
For Yuugiri, being part of such contract is the most vulnerable offering he could've given you as proof of his love. As your souls become connected, you can perceive his feelings in ways otherwise impossible to achieve. He willingly allowed you to be able to read his heart, and thankfully it worked. It was his last, desperate resort to get you to understand his affections. Do you finally see the earnest adoration he harbors for you?
He is the best choice if you're looking for a best friend to gossip with. He enjoys listening to your stories and pays great attention to every detail. He's also frighteningly vengeful, especially when it involves you. So if you ever complain about someone to him, know that he will remember it forever and will make sure to continuously get back at the offender in the worst possible ways and will only stop when you tell him to.
Now listen, I’m about to be quite crass but it is what it is: as a serpent demon he has a long, forked tongue and let’s just say everyone in the household can tell if he’s eating you out because it will be loud. It will be followed by the walk of shame, when you eventually have to come out of the room red-faced and sore-legged, with Yuugiri donning a devilish grin for the rest of the day. You always swear to keep it in next time, but within moments you’re tightly gripping onto his horns, mumbling his name in a feverish, drunken haze. Naturally, he can read you like an open book and this truth stands for more intimate matters as well. Leave it to Yuugiri to know what his darling likes best.
Sekiya
Sekiya has been fascinated with you from the moment you stepped into the ancient Tomb. To see the anxious, quiet Kiritsubo happily wag his tail after you and the stern, irritable Murasaki readily at your service…It was a sight most unfamiliar to him and he wondered how a mere human like you managed to whip them into this kind of submission. He refused to believe you’d be stronger than Abe no Nakamaro himself, yet after the battle - from which you emerged victorious - it suddenly occurred to him that it wasn’t fear or obedience coming from the two yokai companions. Just honest, unadulterated love. He felt his chest tighten with envy, all the resentment of being sealed in with an evil, hateful sorcerer finally erupting its way to the surface.
So when you offered him and Sakaki to join you (“What else is left to do among these ruins?”), he couldn’t agree fast enough. To think he, too, could be spoiled with the affections of someone like you. On the other hand, Sekiya is an insecure, nervous wreck of an overthinker and he felt like he couldn’t offer anything worthy in return. He’s a demon that casts barriers. Nothing more, nothing less. He doesn’t have Murasaki’s genius, or Kiritsubo’s raw power, or Suma’s brute strength…What use could you possibly find in him? Hence the constant need for reassurance. He will need you to pull him out of his melancholy every now and then, just a small nudge from the savior he so worships.
It’s an extremely rare occurrence, but Sekiya can get cheeky if his ego is stroked properly. So, for example, he’ll take advantage of the fact you’re both alone in the modern world and show you the handy usage of his barriers: a crowded intersection overflowing with people, and yet no one can see him greedily thrusting into you right in the middle of everything. It’s the high of sprawling you out in public without actually being seen. It’s also one of the reasons you no longer take him furniture shopping. Last time you asked him to help you pick a new table from Ikea and were confused by his requirement of it being “high enough”. Before you could ask for further explanations, the immediate vicinity started twirling into a blur and his heavy arm bent you over the surface. “Let me demonstrate”, he purred in your ear. Sure, no one saw you dripping with his cum, nonetheless scanning the items with your clenched legs and deep crimson face was humiliating enough.
Sakaki
Despite his gift to heal and revive, Sakaki is a terribly miserable demon, often plagued by gloom and death. He is especially receptive to negative emotions, and given your souls are connected, he is the first to detect any change in your mood. (You had to learn to block out the persistent throb of jealousy that tugs at your heart whenever the yokai is particularly insecure.) He takes great pride in the fact that he can understand your sadness better than anyone. The second you feel down, he’ll be right behind you: “Worry not, we shall suffer together. Such is the fate of lovers.”
The first time he joined you back into the modern world, you’ve perhaps mistakenly introduced him to classic literature you assumed he’d like. He indeed became infatuated with authors like Poe, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Shelley, Hoffmann. For the first time in his long life, Sakaki felt understood, and you’re glad to have played a role in his new interest. Yet you can’t help the shivers running down your spine whenever you become the target of his overflowing, renewed inspiration. Grim, ghastly paintings, deplorably obsessive poems…You’ve unleashed an authentic Romantic poet whose only muse is you.
He’s a master of eerie awkwardness, more so now that he has access to modern entertainment. You were excited when he asked you out on a picnic date, only to discover you’ve been taken to a foggy graveyard. He enthusiastically explained his choice: you can scout burial plots in case one of you dies (he’ll die with you, no worries), it is a stunning reminder that his love for you is eternal, and you might even find potential names if you ever want children. Another time, when you rented a boat during a sunny day at the lake, he cheerfully wondered how you’d look if you were to drown (still as beautiful as ever, he’s certain). Ah, but he does not dwell on dark things only. He recently took you to see the famous Cirque du Soleil and he was equally mesmerized by all the light and colors. It was Corteo: the story of a funeral cortège for a clown.
Sakaki does not like sharing and prefers to hang out with you alone, without the other demons. In fact, he’ll spend the day holed up in his room, writing or painting, or go out on lone walks if he knows you’re messing around with someone. He’d rather not hear anything that would cause him turmoil. The only exception is Sekiya, as they spent decades in isolation together within the sealed Tomb, and they both share a similar lack of confidence. In this case he won’t mind laying you on him and offering the above position to his friend, or casually joining your fun if he sees you together with Sekiya.

The Yokai Ninja
Chapter 3
[Masterlist]
[prev] [next]
~|~
By the time Y/N started to gain consciousness, the sun had already started making its way through the sky. They knew this would happen, they had a nasty habit of waking up whenever their body felt it, but it was still nerve wracking to be so late on the first day of training. Taking a deep breath, they attempted to calm down, it was no use rushing now. Y/N took their time getting ready and making a nice breakfast to eat on the way to the training ground, it would most likely be a while before they would get a break to eat lunch after all. Picking up the pace, Y/N tried to shovel as much food into their mouth before having to face their new team.
When they reached their squad, it was well past 5 AM. Y/N could see their exhausted teammates waiting on the training field, had they really been out there since five? Naruto was slumped over on the ground, Sakura was shakily standing in place, and Sasuke was perched in a squat with his eyes glazed over. Sakura was the first to spot them, “Wha- Why are you so late?! Do you know how long we were out here?”
Naruto jerked awake at the noise, falling backwards in shock. This also seemed to snap Sasuke out of his haze. He blinked a few times, before standing up and stretching slightly. They spared them both a concerned glance before responding, “Sorry, I woke up late and I had to make breakfast. Has Kakashi-sensei shown up yet?”
Just as Sakura opened her mouth to answer, Kakashi appeared next to the group. This got the trio to stand to attention and begin chewing their sensei out. He ignored the yelling as he sent Y/N an annoyed glare. “Now that everyone’s here, we can finally get started.” Y/N rolled their eyes and tried to avoid their sensei’s gaze.
After a few seconds of silence, Kakashi cleared his throat and set a clock down on a stump. Pressing on the top, he began to explain, “This alarm is set for noon,” he pulled out some little bells on a string. “Your mission is extremely simple, all you need to do is steal these bells from me. If you can’t manage that before the alarm goes off, you’ll be tied up and left to starve while you watch me eat my lunch in front of you.” He talked with a noticeable smirk in his tone.
Y/N never felt so good about disobeying a direct order. While their squad members were complaining about how hungry they were, they had just gotten a full night's sleep and a meal in their stomach. They were brought out of their thoughts when Sakura pointed out a detail that escaped the rest of them. “Sensei, why are there only three bells? There’s four people on the team.”
Kakashi snickered again, “Duh, that way at least one of you will end up tied up and disqualified. That one’s going back to the academy today, but then again,” The energy surrounding them all became stale and full of frustration. “All four of you could flunk, too. I expect you to use any weapons you have, including kunai or shuriken. If you aren’t prepared to kill me, you’ll never be able to defeat me.”
There was obviously more to say about his teaching styles. Sakura and Naruto took turns bringing these up. “But, sensei! That’s too dangerous!” “Plus, you couldn’t even dodge that eraser! Are you sure you want us to go all out?”
Kakashi looked serious now, “Class clowns, the weakest links, it’s usually safe to just ignore them. Low scores, low skill, complete losers.” He brought his attention back to the rest of the group as Naruto was left to stir in anger. “When I say go, you can start.”
Enraged by being mocked again, Naruto let out a shout and charged at Kakashi-sensei. The genin watch in awe as the younger boy is immediately taken over. Like a flash of light, Naruto’s nose was in the dirt and Kakashi was behind him holding the kunai to the back of his head. “Honestly, you guys are starting to annoy me.” The three watching held nothing but fear and respect for the older teen. He was a dangerous opponent and it would take more than just running in there to take him down.
Everyone moved to get away as he spoke again, “You did come at me like you were going to kill me, though. However, next time, don’t be so impulsive, that might end up getting you killed.” Tension was high as they all prepared for his next move. “Get ready, and start!”
As soon as Kakashi started the exercise, everyone jumped off in different directions and started strategizing their attack. All but Y/N, who trailed behind and tried to catch Naruto’s attention. They had no doubt that, despite his young age, they would never be able to beat Kakashi on their own; they needed to coordinate and work together to overwhelm the jonin.
“Hey, Naruto, come here.” This barely caught the boy’s attention, it seemed he was still upset about being pinned to the ground. “Naruto, what’s the plan, man? How are we gonna do this?”
He didn’t even turn before responding, “No way! I gotta do this on my own, I’m not gonna let him humiliate me like this! Believe it!”
Y/N sighed before nodding. It seemed like they would have to rely on Sasuke for the extra man-power. They tried to recall which direction he had gone, before deciding to just search blindly and hope Kakashi was too busy with Naruto to follow. During this whole interaction, Kakashi kept an attentive gaze on Y/N.
Finding Sasuke was easier said than done. He was inexperienced, but he was still the best student in class. They found him high up in the trees, watching Kakashi easily avoid Naruto’s attacks, if you could even call them that.
“Hey-” Y/N threw their arms up just in time to block an attack. “Just me! Just me, calm down.” They struggled to keep a straight face, laughing would make sure the stubborn Uchiha never worked with them again. “Sorry, I uh, sorry. So, uhm, what’s your plan? For the bells?”
Sasuke gave them a strange look, like they had told some awful joke. He resumed glaring daggers at the pair in the field, “Why should I tell you? I need to get that bell and I can’t do it if you’re weighing me down.”
Well, that was a kick to the face. At this point, the only thing they could do was give up. Y/N wouldn’t even try with Sakura, chances are she would only want to work with Sasuke. They would never beat Kakashi alone and no one was willing to work together; they figured it would be better to admit defeat than make a fool of themself. They sighed once more and dropped out of the tree without a second glance to their teammate. Even if he was impossible to work with, it wouldn’t be fair to reveal him.
As Y/N stepped out from the tree line, Kakashi was turning towards them. How perfectly timed, it appeared that Naruto had also given up on his flailing. The tension was frightening, his one visible eye catching every twitch in their body. He was like a predator stalking his prey, and Y/N had just blindly strolled into his den.
The adrenaline from Sasuke’s attack and the sudden, overwhelming fear of being targeted by this dangerous ninja sent them into a panic. They acted on the first impulse that came to mind and immediately tried making themselves look as non threatening as possible. Throwing their arms up in surrender, they started babbling nonsense and inching closer to the teen in front of them.
“Hey! Phew, I’m saying that a lot today, huh! Well, you wouldn’t know–” Kakashi cut them off before they could make this anymore painful, “If you’re trying to distract me while someone else takes the bells, it’s not going to work.”
At the mention of their teammates, Y/N deflates. Their brow wrinkles as they adopt a sour look, “No, unfortunately, I’m just an idiot. I’ve been trying to get them to work together with me, but they’re too stubborn. I can’t get that bell on my own, so I figured I should just take the loss and let them try. Those two want this more than me, anyways.”
Kakashi seemed to relax at their words, his gaze turning inquisitive, like he was fascinated by the confession. “Have you tried asking Sakura? She might need help.”
Y/N was childishly kicking the dirt, comfortable with the truce that had been established, “That’s a joke right? She’s so obsessed with Sasuke, she wouldn’t notice if she was on fire.” That got a laugh from their sensei. They continued their rant, “None of these guys understand that we aren’t strong enough to take you one-on-one. They’re so focused on doing it their way, they-”
Kakashi raised a brow at the pause. He was standing with his arms crossed, leaning backwards slightly. He looked excited now. “That’s the point though, isn’t it. You set us up, pit us against each other to see if we could work together under pressure.” Kakashi was moving now, coming to a stop just in front of them. Y/N stood up straight, not wavering as he leaned in close.
“Well, aren’t you a smart little mink?
Fighting through the shock and embarrassment, Y/N managed to get out a response, “Fitting, with how you’ve been watching me like a hungry fox. Are you going to eat me up, sensei?” Much to their surprise, Kakashi choked on his breath and froze up. His face turned a dangerous shade of red as he struggled to come up with a reply.
“Such tough words for someone who can’t even hold a conversation. A little disappointing if you ask me.” As they said this, they tried to reach for one of the bells.
They were just about to make contact when their wrist was snatched. They jerked backwards and their eyes shot up to meet Kakashi’s. His blush had faded to a soft pink, and his eyes burned in a heated glare. Though, there was no malice to be found. Only shame in being caught so off-guard that he’d almost let you beat him.
When it was clear that he had no intentions of going any further, Y/N admitted defeat once more. They were prideful, sure, but even they knew when to throw in the towel. “You’re a sharp one, Fox. I thought you were still trying to think of a good comeback.”
He turned his head to the side, his blush getting brighter. “Whatever, that was just a fluke. Don’t expect that to work next time.” Y/N grinned, “Next time?”
“Shut up!” His voice raised in pitch, how was it so easy to mess with this kid? “Stay put, I’m going to go check on the others.” They watched as he stormed off, rubbing his face to try and get rid of his blush. They didn’t know if any of their teammates were in that direction, and they doubted that Kakashi knew either, but he had surprised them so many times today.

My brain was silent for two seconds too long and now I have an idea for a reverse harem, historical fantasy, Jujutsu Kaisen AU for the Reader because one person isn't enough at this point.
Listen. Royal guard Takuma. Royal treasurer Nanami. Forest yokai Sukuna. The two big clans could be kingdoms. Prince Inumaki Toge and princess Zenin Maki. The potential. Hehehehe.

i like to imagine that when she was alive in the jomon period or whatever like. people liked her because she protected them (even though blah blah blah yokai as a concept wouldnt have existed as they would later on) but she was also like just as annoying as she is in modern times. and girls liked her i stick by my theory that she had a harem and enjoys having one. but she was still an annoying cocky dickhead.
