After an hour, he sighed and sat up. "Where are they?" He muttered and stood up from bed.

He went into the bathroom to see if you were still getting ready for bed, as it was a usual routine for you to be in the bathroom getting ready for bed.

However, once he didn’t find you there, he then went towards your living room area, and there he saw you.

He saw you, sleeping on the couch, with a small blanket, and the window open.

Seeing this scene made his heart clench, a scene that will stick to the back of his head for a while, a scene he never will put on a canvas.

Slowly, he walked to you, with guilt dripping down the inside of his artificial chest.

"Hey..." He gently shook you with his hand on your shoulder. "Please, wake up. Don’t sleep here...please?"

You opened your eyes a bit and glanced at him tiredly. You then turned your back to him.

However, he grabbed your arm to prevent you from turning, as he took your chin and made you look into his eyes. "I'm sorry if I went over the line, and said something that hurt you. I never wanted to push you to...this conclusion. Please come back to bed with me...I...I miss you there with me."

You looked to the side a bit, thinking of what to do, however, you couldn’t stay mad at him.

You ended up returning to bed with him, as you feel him desperately cuddle you close to him. As if to prevent you from ever recreating such a scene again.

Eventually, all things came to a head, when you two got into an argument about his behavior and how you hated that you felt pushed away. However, he seemed sterned with his behavior.

With that, you were too frustrated to be in the same room as him. You decided to sleep on the couch. You need to cool off from things, maybe a nice break will do.

You slowly close your eyes and drifted to sleep. Maybe you can go out and take a day for yourself for once. You can't force him to come to you after all.

However, a few hours later, you felt arms around your torso, and a warm heat pressed against your back. You felt a face buried into your neck.

You woke up in surprised, as he hasn’t held you like this in a long while. You gently turned your head a bit. "K-Kazuha dear?"

"My beloved, I...I apologize for my behavior and how I have acted towards you...please know you are the most precious Maple leaf that as ever fallen into my hand and I never meant to crush your beauty within my grasp...."

You felt him tighten his arms around you. "You see, something happened on the ship with Beidou. I have met someone who known my friend...the friend who was struck down by Raiden Shogun and..."

There was a small pause.

"It brought back so many painful things for me to hold myself together for a bit. I am sorry for taking it out on you..I should have told you...at least let you know that I needed time...to me.."

You smiled and turned, and gently pulled his head into your chest and rubbed his back, as he recited poetic whispers to you, and reminding you that he loves you.

Kazuha eventually fell asleep in your arms, reminding himself that this was what comfort felt like with his beloved.

He continued to complain as a way to convince you, however, you never responded.

Annoyance turned into anxiety very quickly for him, as he walked to you and went to his knees by you. He placed his hand on your back. "H-Hey...at least respond to me..."

He spoke with nervousness, and why wouldn’t he? You never abandoned him no matter how difficult he was, you were all he had. The only person who understood him and made him feel loved.

Nothing, no response.

Scaramouche pressed his forehead against your back. "I'm sorry...I know I went too far...I know I shouldn’t have said those things."

He squeezed your arm. "I'll...I'll leave you alone for once..." He said quietly and stood up and left.

All you heard was a quiet click of your office door closing. That is the most quietest he had ever been.

He had flashed backs of his yaksha family that passed, was he going to lose you like them as well?

Fear filled his heart.

He walked up you, and looked straight at your beautiful face that gave him so much smiles, kisses and nuzzles.

"Please don’t...do this to me..." He whispered to you, as he placed his hand on your arm. "I'm sorry I..."

You didn’t respond, as you were half sleep.

Reaching a limit, you felt Xiao immediately pick you up, bridal style to get your full attention. He looked at you with a desperate face.

You looked into his eyes, as you immediately woken up from his actions. "X-Xiao..."

Xiao immediate pressed his forehead against yours. "Please come back to bed with me...I can’t... I can’t stand you being here out in the open like this...with everyone seeing you..."

As he said this, he was carrying you back into his room, as he was planning to take care of you and make sure you were in his arms by the end of the day.

𖤐 xiao would major in computer science. tell me he doesn’t act like a computer science major. you can’t. he spends hours in his dorm just trying to figure out what’s wrong with his code only to find out it was the small semicolon he added by accident. (you hear his screams of rage from across halls.

𖤐 don’t get him wrong - he’s one of those computer science majors that does actually shower (he actually has this lovely floral cologne he puts on and you swear it smells like heaven itself).

𖤐 he’s a big fan of study dates, he works on his assignments and you do yours. “being alone without being lonely,” he had said with a smile.

𖤐 that is to say - he does get distracted on these dates. after each assignment he’ll turn towards you, eyes pleading for a kiss as reward for his productivity. those kisses turn into two, then three, and then… the work gets forgotten as a whole.

𖤐 a side note but his hands are so so pretty - so when he’s doing work on a computer/laptop, his hands just look so pretty. they’re nimble and they’ll hold your face oh so gently right before he kisses you.

𖤐 during finals and midterms season, he’ll make sure to take care of you to make sure you’re not overloading yourself amidst your studying. he’ll bring you things like soup, sandwiches, your favorite snacks. not only food but small self-care things such as face masks, maybe a new jacket or cardigan, new cologne, or just a puzzle for you to do together during some down-time!

𖤐 albedo is the type to drag you along with him to his classes when he can’t find the time to plan dates. he’ll take you with him to his 8 a.m lecture all the way to his 5 p.m discussion class. as long as he gets to spend time with you, no matter the setting, he’s a happy guy.

𖤐 often times he just stays in your apartment/dorm for days. he’ll come by after his classes and just take a nap in your very own bed. you’ll find him studying with his papers splayed all across the floor of your room.

𖤐 in the times where he’s staying in your dorm all the time he is so clingy. he’ll be fiddling with your fingers as he studies, have his body wrapped around yours while he writes out the new club activity. when he gets his moments of free time, he will shower you in so many kisses.

𖤐 the type to kiss you everywhere before kissing your lips. he kisses your cheek, your nose, your eyelids, eyebrows, and then finally, your lips.

𖤐 he dresses himself very academic like - button downs and slacks, sweater vests and loafers. he’ll carry around a leather satchel instead of a backpack. his fingers adorn a ring or two always (one of those being the promise rings you exchanged on your first year anniversary).

𖤐 if he ever sees that you are stressing yourself our for an exam or anything of the sort, he’ll go through a list of steps to calm you down. he’ll offer his supper always and try his best to help you study in the best manner while also ensuring you get breaks and allow yourself rest. he suggests walks together in times like these.

He wraps your wounds gently, and keeps asking if your bandages are too tight, or if it stings or hurt.

He ask Zhongli if there are medicines for healing "Humans Wounds."

He checks your wounds every night, and keeps an eye on you since you don't fully have your footing back.

He sometimes massages and rubs it for you, to help ease the pain or help ease your mind.

He will ask about it everyday.

He will 100% fight you to the death for you to not fight monsters or get into trouble. He will pick you back up and take you to bed and stay there with you until you give up.

He would kiss your wounds, giving it his own little custom prayers to help it heal faster and easier.

Will make sure everything is accessible to you before he leaves to go fight fallen gods and demons.

Sometimes will bring healing charms and little gifts in hope it would make you happy.

I don't think he fully understands human wounds apart from adepti wounds, so he will treat your wounds as if you have karmic debt of your own, but easier to manage. He has some idea of it.

Scaramouche: ◈━◈━◈━◈━◈ ◈━◈━◈━◈━◈ ◈━◈━◈━◈

He doesn't actually know what to do at first, but he definitely calls you an idiot, or other names of you being dumb and reckless. But you can tell it was because he was scared and didn't know how to react.

Instinctively, He probably things he will lose you like he lost his child friend in his past. Despite him knowing better.

He would rip some of his own clothes to wrap around your wounds to stop the bleeding, since he has seen people done so in the past.

Once you reassure him, and calm him down, he will carry you to a nearby area that has medical equipment.

As for this scenario, let's say Mondstadt since you know the area well.

He would snap at Barbara to heal you and to hurry up. But he would gently ask her if you are okay, and if you are holding up alright.

Once you are out, maybe having a little cane to support you, he would full on take care of you, no questions ask.

He would always have one arm around you, or holding your hand to make sure you are okay, but also to reassure himself that you are okay.

He would buy foods, or do most of the cooking, it's not the best, but that's because he doesn't need to eat since he is a puppet.

Probably hold you close to him and gently adjust your bandages for you when it gets a little sloppy.

100% annihilate any monsters that turn their eyes on you.

Zhongli: ◈━◈━◈━◈━◈ ◈━◈━◈━◈━◈ ◈━◈━◈━◈━◈

Immediately knows what to do, based on his past knowledge, he will immediately have medicine or bandages on him to take care of you.

He would cook healing meals, and do everything within his knowledge to help heal your wounds.

Thanks to that, it wasn't as fatal as before, since he has experience and he is prepared.

He would definitely carry you, because the less stress on wounds the better.

He would take you to Baizhu to look after your wounds and checking up on your wounds.

He makes tea for you everyday.

He would lay in you bed with you, and tell you stories to help you sleep.

He would rub medicine on your wounds for you, and keep you to a strict schedule no matter how much you protest.

Gently stroke your hair as you are laying down in bed and resting, offering extra pillows and blankets.

Bringing you your favorite desserts.

He might sometimes rest his cheek on your head in bed and keep his arms around you to keep your warm, of course with his button up shirt open.

He wouldn't express his worries for you by words, but definitely by actions, such as sealing the door so no one can get in to hurt you, but also so you won't sneak out. Leaving out breakfast, or comfy clothes for you.

Al Haitham: ◈━◈━◈━◈━◈ ◈━◈━◈━◈━◈ ◈━◈━◈━◈━◈

He would probably sigh and say stuff like he knew you'd be reckless and get seriously hurt.

He would also lecture you on how to properly fight the monster you were fighting, and pinpoint why you got hurt in the first place.

The next time he sees the monsters you were fighting of any kind, he would take over for you and defeat them. If you got seriously hurt from a hilichurl? He got it. But you can handle Azhdaha just fine.

He wouldn't need to take you to a medical facility since he knows what he is doing, we are in Sumeru forest after all, you have the best medicine there already is.

Despite his aloof and distant nature, he handles you very gently, and he becomes more touch base with you, such as when asking if if your wounds are healing, he would immediately place his hand gently on your bandages.

He would stick nearby you, but he won't show his worries, as he feels the rational thing to do right now is to offer you assistance, not stress you with his worries.

He tries to hold back his own emotions when he hears you wince in pain and see you have a pained face. Immediately would finish the task for you, such as putting your plate away, picking things up.

Usually, when he reached his limit of that, he would pull you in between his legs and ask you to stay with him so you can heal in peace rather than in pain. He would hold you close to him and push your head into his neck, as a way to help you ease down and relax. He would be reading a book in this process as well and maybe throw up an excuse on how him doing this has healing properties.

Every time I read any fanfic about xiao and the traveler (lumine/aether) I always get so amazed about how most of the writers show the undeniable and unavoidable attraction between those two, how Xiao tries so hard to hide it, not because of embarrassment but mostly because he thinks he’s unworthy, and how the traveler is always like “there’s no way he likes me more than this …. Right??” It’s always so wholesome because they both would trust each others’ lives to one another no questions asked. And when they finally open up to one another the relieve, desperation and yearning for each other is put so beautifully into words I LOVE MY CANON SHIP 🚢
