Widow rolled over and wrapped their arms around Gerard from behind, making him chuckle.

"Comfortable, darling?" He asked, a slight teasing in his voice.

"...You talk to much." They replied with a huff and a light kiss on his neck.

So they stayed in silence, nothing but their love hanging in the room .

"Hurting again, my love?" Gerard asked, concerned by his lover's pained groans as he laid next to him. He hated seeing someone so dear to him hurt so much. He'd take the pain himself and triple it if it meant his Gabriel never had to feel the things he went through.

The groan in response told him it was so bad Gabriel couldn't talk. He was laying on his stomach, shirtless, burying his face halfway in the pillow. Likely an attempt to hide the heavy, wraith-filled breaths. Gerard didn't dare mention it was hardly working.

"Would you like me to kiss it better?" The words kind of slipped out stupidly. He almost instantly regretted them but, as he did any time he said something he said something he instantly realized was stupid, played it off smoothly.

"...Won't help..." Was all he got in response followed by a grunt of, "Please."

He was a bit startled that his request was met with agreement, but his face softened into a smile. "Of course, my rose."

He started placing soft, loving kisses down his lover's back, smiling as he seemed to actually relax and melt under him. He knew too well that curing pain wasn't that simple, but it did seem like Gabriel was relaxing under him.

When he finished he moved up to face his lover again. "How was- oh." When he moved to face him, he saw Gabriel asleep, his breaths more steady than before. He seemed... Peaceful, which was rare.

Gerard chuckled and kissed his forehead.

"Sleep well, beloved.*

ok so. per the s14 quest, i am cutting mirage OUT of wraith's storyline. i would NOT have mirage just hand wraith important information in a file for the SECOND time in apex history, like he has done this TWICE and it's felt like such an ass-pull both times. and him being involved with wraith's personal storyline now, helping her hunt for clues and answers when they LITERALLY just had her and bangalore talk out their problems and bangalore promises her that she'll uphold her end of the deal only for the writers to be like lol anyways mirage takes bangalore's place

it really feels like the writers have realized he's kind of useless overall to the Multiple Plots of apex and contributes so little compared to the amount of screentime he takes up. he's like the side comedy character that they keep putting too much focus on so in a panic they trashed the storyline they'd been building up for seasons with bangalore finally helping wraith out and them being Friends Maybe!! and instead of just giving him like. u know. his own storyline. or not involving him at all maybe. the writers' mirage boner kicked in and they forced him into it when he literally hasn't been important to wraith's personal story since he abruptly gave her the answers to everything The First Time back in s6, because if they don't put mirage in everything to milk the shit out of him and pander to reddit mirage kinnies they'll die. ugh
