The Problem With Thessaly
I’m sure plenty of fans would agree with me that there are certain elements of the Sandman comics that are going to be very difficult to adapt for television. I don’t envy the mammoth task Neil and the creative team on the show have ahead of them. But one element in particular which has been on my mind frequently is how they are going to introduce Thessaly to our screens.
It’s not just that she’s a TERF. It’s that she’s a cold, cruel, selfish, and inconsiderate bitch who only ever thinks about herself. Oh yeah, and she’s a huge TERF. There isn’t a single likeable element to her.
And yet.
We are supposed to somehow believe that our main protagonist, idiotic as he may sometimes be, depressed and seriously down on his luck as he is, will fall head over heels in love with her.
Sorry. But it ain’t happening. Something has gotta change. So here are my thoughts on how they could fix the Thessaly Problem.
Under a cut for comic spoilers (and its a bit long)
I kinda get the reason it happens in the comics. Kinda. I can’t remember the exact quote, or where I read it, but Neil explained it as “two people who you know are absolutely not right for each other and no one who knows them can understand why they are together.” He purposely wrote it to be a really weird match that didn’t make sense.
From Dream’s perspective, at this point in the story he has just had some of his biggest romantic disasters slapped in his face (at one point literally) all within a very short space of time for an entity as long lived as him. First Calliope, then Nada, and then Alianora, and he is hurting from all of them. Having to face his romantic failures one after another within the space of a few years AFTER having to go through 70 odd years of relentless suffering trapped in a glass prison has GOT to mess with your head. So I think Thessaly is basically the worst rebound in history. They are only canonically together for a few weeks but he somehow falls head over heels for this plain, dull, horrible person. 100% this is a rebound. He’s messed up. So yeah, I kinda get it.
From Thessaly’s perspective it seems she just really liked the idea of being the object of someones attention and desire even though she never returned his feelings and left him the minute he stopped devoting all his attention to her (god she really is a bitch).
So why don’t I think this will work in the show?
Because the show is a kinder universe than the comic. Dream is different in the show. He is already more thoughtful, warm, compassionate, and has a better self awareness when it comes to his shortcomings. He’s also a far more romantic character in the show, which is probably thanks to Tom Sturridge’s excellent performance and likeability and absolutely maddening sexual chemistry with literally every character he interacts with (his pretty face doesn’t hurt either). You just have to look at his scenes with Calliope to know that they are playing up the romance and kindness there when in the comics Dream is extremely cold to Calliope throughout their very short interactions.
Given the news that the writing team on Game of You will include trans writers specifically to cover the sensitivities of honouring Wanda, I don’t know how they will adapt the transphobia she suffers at Thessaly’s hand, or whether they will include that at all - personally I think they should remove it. Not to make Thessaly more likeable, but because it reinforces a really wrong view of witchcraft and magick that modern witches and pagans are working extremely hard to reject. Not to get too deep into these topics, but transphobia is a fucking plague in those communities and the last thing we need is more people thinking everyone who practices witchcraft is a fucking TERF. The comic even goes so far as to imply the actual MOON is transphobic. Like WTF? The moon isn’t fucking transphobic and “womb magic” is stupid. If I ever have to read the words “divine feminine” in a witchcraft FB group again I’m gonna scream.
Anyway my point is that I don’t think those scenes in the comic are necessary and there are plenty of other ways to adapt that story without resorting to transphobia.
The other issue is that if they do keep it in, they somehow have to deal with the fact that their protagonist is seemingly totally cool with dating a transphobic murderous bitch. Um. Yeah, not cool Dream. I think the show is going to do everything it can to make Dream MORE likeable and based on what we have seen so far I definitely think that’s the route they are taking.
So yeah Dream won’t be falling in love with a TERF in the show, that I am sure of.
The thing is, the best way they can deal with the Thessaly problem is also the simplest - Don’t include her. Just don’t write her into the show. Simples.
Because we already have a character in the show universe who technically doesn’t exist in comic canon, who knows magic and the occult, and who is MUCH more likeable and kind whilst still being a bit messy and selfish and totally a terrible match for Dream... Oh, and who also happens to be played by possibly the most well known actor on the shows main cast list.
Johanna Constantine.
Jenna Coleman is a fairly big name and one of the primary stars for the show. At least Netflix seemed to think so since her face was all over the marketing and she was included in basically every cast interview, even though her character only turns up in 1 and a half episodes. She is also playing a new version of an already well known character in pop culture and I am convinced Netflix is already considering spin off options for her. So there is no way they aren’t going to include her in future episodes of the Sandman.
Except thats where Netflix has a problem if it wants to stick to comic canon. Lady Johanna Constantine only turns up in one more Sandman story, and John Constantine doesn’t show up again at all in the comics.
So my piece of speculation that I’m almost 90% certain will happen, is that they will bring back modern Johanna Constantine in an extended or adapted role based on another character.
My money is on Thessaly. Remove Thessaly, replace her with Johanna.
I’m not just saying this because I think Johanna and Morpheus hooking up will be hot (it will be, don’t deny it. My bisexual ass knows a hot couple when I see them). But because it makes sense.
Yeah okay we have that pesky little rule about the Endless not dating mortals - but that rule currently doesn’t exist in show canon either, so theres no reason why they can’t just also scrap that for the sake of some sexy, messy, and definitely disastrous bi4bi action.
All jokes aside, with only a few tweaks to the story in a Game of You, you could seemlessly fit Johanna into it. She can be in New York for a specific case, hell, maybe Barbie and the sudden appearance of Martin Tenbones on a busy New York street IS the case she’s investigating? She can still find a way to break Hazel and Foxglove into the Dreaming AND when Morpheus shows up they can have another tantalising showdown like they did in episode 3. It works better with Johanna tbh. She actually cares about people, the motivation is there for her to want to save Barbie and protect people from supernatural sources. We can just make the storm and the collapse of the apartment block be caused by George or the cuckoo or something (or not have it happen at all since I am also practically certain that Wanda is NOT going to die in the show).
This ALSO means that much later on, when Lyta is having her breakdown and destroying the Dreaming, having Johanna being the one to protect her from Morpheus rather than Thessaly also adds a more human element to it. Morpheus has never been a killer, but sometimes his duties demand it. He goes to kill Lyta to prevent the Kindly Ones destroying the Dreaming. If it is Johanna blocking him instead of Thessaly, their motives align. Johanna would protect Lyta for the simple fact that she won’t let a supernatural creature harm a human (as much as she can - sorry Kevin), and Morpheus, being hesitant about killing anyway, would be easily talked out of it by Johanna. “Find another way to save the Dreaming, I won’t let you harm her.”
It just adds an emotional weight that isn’t there with Thessaly, who only protects Lyta because she made a deal with the Kindly Ones in exchange for more centuries of life - an ironic request when Morpheus (and Death) are keeping Hob Gadling alive simply so he can be Dream’s BFF.
It just works for me. Scrap the “no mortals” rule and you can have them have the messy disastrous relationship that doesn’t work out. It is far more believable that Johanna Constantine could break Dream’s heart - she’s already a known heartbreaker in the show (sorry Rachel). It’s a doomed love story a modern audience can get behind, makes sense, the actors already have insane sexual chemistry, and it could definitely hit all those story beats needed to get the show to a version of the Kindly Ones whilst also actively improving it.
I may first and foremost be a Dreamling shipper, but talking in terms of canon I very much want Morpheus to have a passionate short-lived heart breaking affair with Johanna. Fuck Thessaly. Keep her relegated to comic canon. Morphanna all the way.
And THAT is how we fix the problem with Thessaly.

The 'Great' MHA Read Along, Part Two (Chapters 5-7): The Aizawa-ing.
*checks last post, gets more than one like*
*blinks*
Huh. Well. OK then. Let's do another one, I guess.
And, literally the first panel? Bakugou. Wow, Bakugou is so great, so strong...
Bakugou scored zero rescue points. Zero. He was the only one, as far as we know, to get zero points and still pass... and that doesn't concern you at all? Considering most people didn't almost die like Izuku and Ochako, then the bar for 'rescue points' honestly must have been in the ground, like helping someone when they fell or something. And here, in UA, an elite school for Heroes, whose job is to save people, Bakugou scored zero rescue points. Like, I don't expect him to not get in over this, but it'd be nice if, instead of everyone fawning over him, from literally page one, someone could go, 'Hey, I don't like the looks of that'.
Then we transition to Izuku and All Might, and I guess that answers the question of, 'Why couldn't All Might help Izuku get in?': because he knew Izuku wouldn't want that.
I. I'm actually not sure of that? He wouldn't want attention, at least. But whatever, ultimately, the problem I have with that is All Might literally just dropped him in the exam with absolutely zero Quirk experience when, from all accounts, he could helped him get in somehow, Mr. Number One Hero, but....
Alright, bear with me a second. In theory, letting him earn his way is fine, but in practice, there's no fucking way Izuku should have passed if he didn't accidently crack the morality cheat for this exam, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize this. At the same time, though, it's clear he doesn't deserve to be recommended student, yet, because again, he's a total noob, and I doubt he'd pass that exam, either, since it's just a giant race.
I think, ultimately, the problem here is Izuku is in a position where there's no reasonable way for him to pass, period. And I can't really blame anyone other than Hori, since, you know, author, and it goes back to what I said last time about he just set up Izuku to struggle for struggling's sake. And the thing is, he could still have had a hard time at at exam, but not have been so damn helpless about it; I mean, in all honesty the only reason Uraraka survived (as far as we can tell those robots are not safety proofed) is that he just so happened to have his Baby's First Quirk moment at that very moment, and since his Quirk is on the level of a fucking god he accidentallyed a robot that could step on a fucking Gundam. If it wasn't for protagonist level plot armor, in other words, Ochako should be dead, which... is a realization. Izuku has no way to fight the robots, or win the race, other then exploding himself, and this setup, for someone who is theoretically supported by the most powerful and influential man in the country, who is literally on the staff, doesn't really make sense. It'd be one thing if was literally nobody, but he's not: he's All Might's apprentice and heir. He is the exact opposite of nobody, but the story never really treats his situation like that; it be easy enough for them to swing it as him being Heroic royalty if All Might and Izuku were more pretentious (you could debate about the destabilizing effect of that, but all things considered All Might retiring and/or having an heir before everything went to shit actually could have been helpful, even if it made Izuku's life infinitely more complicated).
I just don't like that whole situation, basiclly, both with Izuku's capabilities and how hands off All Might suddenly is when he was helping him train daily literally to the actual day of the exam.
And then All Might admits he saw the problem of Izuku's control coming and did... nothing about that. Is. Is the reason All Might is inside OFA because it took his entire personality on the way out? A few chapters ago he was worried about Izuku exercising too hard, and now he's all, 'It's fine', with this apocalyptically powerful Quirk? And, now that it's established that there is a problem with his control, why isn't he trying to help with that problem? Like... at all?
See, this is what I was talking about last time: Arc One All Might is this committed, focused trainer who is expertly pushing Izuku's body just a hair from his absolutely limits on the daily and devotes large portions of his time to helping him improve. Arc Two All Might is just letting him blow up his arms for no apparent reason, while barely ever having time for the child with the legacy of his teacher and like, the primeval spirit of heroics inside him.
And, to top it off, there's the knowledge that he's never going to recover from this change; it only get worse from this point on.
Good bye, Competent Might. I'll miss you.
...And, here's Bakugou. And, with peerless Bakugou Logic (TM), even though he's in the best heroic school period, he's still treating his classmates as extras. Literally.
Pause here; random tangent time.
You know, early Bakugou's story has the shape of a 'big fish in a little pond' story, but have you realized his Quirk is perfect for that as well?
So, the thing is Explosion is a good Quirk, but it's just that: good. It's better than... seventy, eighty percent of Quirks we see, than most of his classmates. Then there's presumably another ten percent of equal Quirks, somewhere....
And then that last ten percent make Explosion look like kid shit. It's hard to remember with how chronically underused it is, but Momo's Quirk is terrifying with some work. I would bet that there's a chemical that neutralizes nitro she could pull out, which would neatly defang Bakugou, for example. Or, a blast of water, to get rid of his sweat, so there's nothing for him to blow up. Or, his actual, canon weakness, cold; fire extinguishers, anyone?
And that's not even mentioning Shoto. And this isn't later story Shoto, who is a side character in his own story, oh no, this is Earlyroki, who can solo the entire class with minimal effort on his part (except Izuku, but that's the starting point of their relationship, Shoto acknowledge him as a potential threat). This is Shoto before the nerfs rolled in.
The set up for the 'small pond' shit is honestly perfect, but Hori just never commits to it. Worse yet, to get around the limits he put in on Bakugou's Quirk, he just... starts breaking his own rules, all the way back with the Sports Festival (coming... at some point!), and it's super disappointing when you realize how great this could have been for realigning Bakugou's ego.
...Alright. Got off track there. Let's stop talking about Bakugou, and start talking about Iida! Iida who apologizes, and acknowledges Izuku! Iida who calls out Bakugou on his shit! Far more wholesome.
And then Uraraka shows up, and I'm pretty sure this is the end of his, 'OMG a girl I literally can't talk' phase, but again, nice to see someone acknowledge Izuku's existence and not hate him...
Ah, Bakugou flashback. I don't hate this, for once, because while it's Bakugou's flashback, it's about Izuku, and his growth, and him standing up for himself, even a little bit. Self affirmation is always nice to see...
And there's a homeless man who broke in! How talented. Wait, that's not a homeless man, that's just an adult who doesn't give a shit about personal hygiene!
(If you're new here, welcome to my blog. As you may have realized, I am not an Aizawa stan.)
(And yes, Bakugou, you tell that ball to die. How dare it be round!)
Welcome, everyone to Eraserhead Land, a world where you don't need to know things like where the consoler is, because mental health for law enforcement personal armed with dangerous superpowers is for losers! Welcome ceremony? Feeling accomplishment about getting into a top school? Possibly learning important things when everyone is gathered in one place? Naaah. If you're not stressed, miserable, and on edge, you're not doing it right!
To those unfamiliar with my posts, you may think I'm joking. I'm not.
Literally, the whole, 'Last place gets expelled bit'? Is because the kids were excited. All Might confirms that, yes, Aizawa absolutely would have kicked someone out.
Dadzawa Fans: 'Ah yes, the "Aizawa Critical" theory. The idea that Dadzawa is false and that the man in question is in fact deeply flawed and acts in incredibly traumatizing and Quirkist ways that should have massive negative repercussions on everyone he has ever taught. We have dismissed this claim.'
Me, deadass watching Aizawa prepare to kick someone out of school because some kids were happy: *blinks in visible confusion*
...This is a man in deep need of therapy. Which probably explains his views on guidance counselors.
Oh, and then Izuku neatly sums up my problem with how his life goes, that can basiclly be applied at any given moment : "My (insert normal thing here) has turned into a huge ordeal!"
Anyways, time for a bunch of tests that, by design, Eraserhead could never pass. And of course, we can't go five minutes (or five seconds, sometimes), without yet another demonstration of how unreasonable Bakugou is, what with him blasting Izuku in the race, which is actual sabotage.
Aizawa... sees no problem with this, apparently. Give it a couple of years, and we'll see an enterprising class take that to its logical conclusion, and murder and/or maim one or more of their fellow classmates for the win!
And now we have a flashback where, surprisingly (? I'm not actually sure if that should be surprising at this point) All Might actually tried to advise Izuku... by basiclly telling him to dial it back, but otherwise to figure it out himself.
You.... You had this Quirk. This exact Quirk. Why is your advice so useless?
Then we have a single panel of the long jump where I half think Bakugou ended up sabotaging Izuku again; why are these kids doing all these at the same time, again?
And then it comes out: Aizawa had already singled out Izuku, even before class, for him passing the exam at all, which didn't 'make sense'.
(With how the exam was set up, Izuku could have passed with minimal stress on his part if he just helped people instead of trying to deal with the robots all. Unironically, I don't think you actually need to interact with the robots at all, in the exam about fighting the robots. This is, as far as I can tell, a valid strategy, and it's not Izuku's fault that it rewards people for helping, bloody fuck.)
I'd bet this entire thing was just because of Izuku, so he could bump him out with minimal justification on his part. He flat out says he doesn't like All Might (an 'insufferable' hero) and compares Izuku to him directly. Like, god this is so damn targeted, and we have All Might watching, internally monologuing about how Eraserhead hates him and he's helpless to protect Izuku...
...Some the fuck how. The Number One Hero is helpless to protect his heir from a clearly biased attempt to get rid of him, when the principal is in the know about important he is. And he seems remarkably fine with his student's seemingly impediment expulsion.
'I can't help him! I'm just going to stand here watching from behind a corner instead of making sure Nezu knows how ABSOLUTELY LIVID I'll be if he gets expelled, or preparing to leverage my immense fame and influence to help, or maybe threatening Eraserhead if he takes his dislike of me out on an innocent student! Nope, no way I can contribute here, oh well, sorry for being such a waste of space Izuku, you're on your own.'
...What the fuck is this? This doesn't make sense! I bought into the narrative of this the first time I read it but now that I've stopped to think about it for five seconds this entire arc is collapsing in on itself.
Why did you make Izuku's mentor the most powerful person on the planet, with the ability to command legions of devoted fans, who single handedly changed how an entire country looks at heroes, if you were going to make him so fucking helpless?!
And then, the cherry on top of all of this is Izuku 'grows' by only breaking his finger, and this fills Aizawa with apparent delight.
Bloody hell. Here, let me summarize my impression of Aizawa after reading this arc again:
"The longer Eraserhead is observed, the more terrible a teacher he becomes."
And now we reach the next chapter, where Bakugou promptly attacks Izuku for the crime of having a Quirk, and Aizawa stops him before... whining. About dry eye.
Mr. "I expel entire classes" yet again sees no problem with students fighting each other, apparently, which is more evidence for my Bloody Mist style Class 1-A theory; we already have discount Kakashi, whose entire character is basiclly badly copied copy ninja characterization, so we might as well get young!Zabuza or something as well.
Oh, I almost forgot Aizawa's first lesson to his students: you can never trust anything I say, ever, because I can, and will, lie to you, for no reason at all, at any moment at all, even when what you think are real-life consequences are on the line, and if you fall for it that's your mistake for falling for a 'logical ruse'.
Talk about a trust building exercise, huh? Clearly, this is Best Father Figure.
Meanwhile, can I mention how nonsensical All Might teaching when he has a time limit is? Why the hell is he wasting his waning moments of power, which could be used for so many more important things than standing there while the students gawk at him? Teach as Skele-Might, or watch the security cameras or something.
...Huh. My translation doesn't have 'Dekiru' in it, even though we had Ochaka accidently call Izuku Deku. Was that later or did whoever did this just not put it in...?
Welp. This was immensely frustrating. Good thing the next arc isn't going to have anything at all concerning, SOD breaking, or horrible in it, right?

did you know that negaduck from darkwing duck was based off reverse-flash? yeah, that doesnt even BEGIN to describe what's actually been going on between their character histories..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
first, negaduck wasnt just inspired by or a reverse-flash parody. he's a literal copy-paste of silver age thawne with a very few changes of origin place from future to parallel universe and identity from some random future guy to main hero's evil twin, because originally eobard was fixated on being a Criminal and not particularly flash's nemesis. back in the day, thawne constantly mentions how much he loves his criminal life. half of his lines are negaduck-worthy purely because the rest is related to being a speedster scientist. my personal favorite as an example:
Tumblr media
he passes the speed limit law in central city so that barry couldnt use superspeed without breaking it but thawne still could because he is 'a hardened criminal'. he invents rays that turn everything inflicted evil (something even negaduck has never done (ig solely because megavolt's already done it in the negaduck episode where he accidentally splits darkwing into good dw (posiduck) and bad dw(negaduck, with a black and gray color scheme), and while yellow negaduck is a different character this is basically how the idea of him was born and the writers just decided to keep him in a different form bc the gray one merged back into normal dw at the end which is super funny. imagine coming up with a duck villain and going 'oh this guy actually reminds me a lot of reverse-flash with all that opposite/negative thing. LET'S PAINT HIM IN THOSE COLORS AND GIVE HIM THE SAME PERSONALITY AND SIMILAR ORIGIN THIS TIME'), altho he DOES test the power gem on a cat in jail bird like thawne did with evil rays). he repeatedly tries to get poor former dr alchemy back to crime just because 'crime fun. why cant you see that. im doing it for your own good' and negaduck tried something like that with morgana in feb 14th episode my valentine ghoul (+that brief scene with gos from 2016 comics run where he believes she must be bad deep down inside out of comparsion to nega!gosalyn). negaduck also travels from a whole other world just to fuck around here for fun (there was this bronze age flash issue called flashback where thawne gets lost in the timestream because barry pushed the wrong buttons in his time capsule which is almost exact negaduck's fate in life, the negaverse and everything) and one of another few differences related is that negaduck is shown to be a dictator of his universe's St. Canard who is bored to live somewhere he already has all the power so he travels to another universe to cause problems on purpose.
second. dc's new52. eobard is rewritten again, now he and zoom are kind of one character. but guess what else is new in this version that never happend neither in zoom or professor zoom's lives? thawne is a fucking dictator in his own time. and people tried to fight his rule in flash's name just like friendly four needed darkwing as inspiration to finally fight back for their world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
he gets his own team, acolytes of zoom (i wish i could call them local fearsome 4 but there are 5 of them, making it more of a sinister 6 if you count thawne) which he trains for centuries to fight the flash and betrays later by trying to steal their powers just like negaduck stole f4's in jail bird to become mega-negaduck and if all that wasnt enough, without the mask he straight up looks like negaduck humanization. look at him. this mf is only missing a hat and a cape.
Tumblr media
also these sudden black parts in his new speedster suit design? either it is some absolute fucking bonkers of a coincidence or someone on the flash writing team really went 'hey guys you know what would be real funny? lets base new thawne off negaduck. like he was originally based off thawne. i swear no one will notice' and everyone went with that. (i could also mention he has the same dumb motivation for being evil (having shitty childhood/being deep down sad about mistreatment and loneliness) as 2011 dwd comics run negaduck but imo that's too far of a stretch to actually be included)
third. yall know the deal of the first season of cw's the flash? yeah, what if i told you the whole thawne messes with the particle accelerator and causes barry to gain superspeed thing already fucking happend in darkwing duck, episode going nowhere fast?
Tumblr media
(the way i lost my mind over this back in the day when i decided to watch dwd just because negaduck reminded me of thawne(i didnt even know he was a direct rip-off, i just went 'oh wait dt universe has this evil fuck that wears the same color scheme as reverse-flash? girl i AM checking the whole thing out just to see if he's anything like thawne'.) and first watched the episode... priceless, still haunts me to this very day. how the hell was that written in 1991. did cw writers just take the idea from dwd too. honestly i cant be sure about anything anymore).
and remember in the duck knight returns (2011 comics run arc) flashbacks there was a super funny thing with negaduck not knowing dw's secret identity and being so proud he cracked the case? remember cw!og!thawne looking for flash's time period and not knowing his identity in 2nd season cameo episode? what the hell was even up with that!!! like guys. guys one of you is the most devoted flash fan from the future and there is NO way none of that kind of information was left a CENTURY after (i mean come on dude couldntve you just asked gideon. she literally had that 2024 newspaper about vanishing and thats at the very least not mentioning she was created by barry) and another is straight up the same fucking person as the hero with the same fucking relatives and enemies. idk take a wild guess??? ((i really wonder if anybody on the wirting team of 2011 dwd run saw not just life, the negaverse and everything but any episode featuring negaduck at all. not only do they ignore the existence of nega!gos in the 'oh he mean bc alone :(' approach, they ignore the very definition of negaduck's character which is literally evil drake mallard. i mean sure hes dumb and may miss obvious clues because of being the same dw just evil but come on, such a comedic situation and never addressed by drake whos literally been in the negaverse and knows they are the same person or by anyone else he coluldve told that? oh well unless drake is also dumb af and thought there never was any drake mallard in the negaverse in the first place and that negaduck is some other guy. which is a real probability i suppose))
also. negaduck's death by being split on billions of evil particles in crisis on infinite darkwings and thawne, being 'exorcised' from nash's body in a form of a negative speed force stream with sparks in 6x15 of cw's the flash.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
fourth! yall did watch ducktales 2017 reboot, right? specifically the duck knight returns episode? they introduce a whole new version of negaduck there! and guess what. jim starling, an old darkwing duck (in-universe 90s tv series) actor obsessed with his role, goes fucking nuts because there is a new darkwing duck actor in a new movie and he didnt even know. because he feels forgotten. because no one remembers neither him nor original series (objectievely not true bc obviously launchpad and drake but to jim they just dont count bc reasons. he seems to count only children but calls lp his fan when anthagonizes drake for taking even that from him in the end). because he was replaced and no one even bothered to tell him. he causes a fire on the set, almost kills drake but does have a change of heart at the end after launchpad's speech about what darkwing duck stands for and seemingly sacrifices himself to save drake and lp from the explosion. then they have the worst idea they could have in relation to jim's character ever: for drake to be a real life darkwing duck to honor jim's sacrifice. so naturally he hears that from the sewers or wherever he was hiding to see their reactions(look i am. 100% sure that this is what happened bc that makes so much more sense than jim getting brain damage or whatever from that explosion and waking up to choose violence again for no other reason). he gets hit with the being replacable and forgotten thing once again and renders back to negaduck tendencies, for all we know for good this time as his darkwing suit changes to the yellow-red one. yk who else went on a rampage because he felt forgotten and replaced? you guessed it! the return of barry allen, a 90s classic where thawne goes to 21st century for the first time, thinks he's barry (original-ish flash) because dissociation from trauma of seeing himself being killed by his hero and acts exactly like starling, having the same issues as motivation aka him/barry being forgotten and replaced by wally. he implies wally taking on the flash mantle is most disrespectful to barry. he rants about how he's the only flash and threatens to destroy not only the flash family but the whole central city for forgetting that. he and wally have a conflict of legacy similar to jim and drake's conflict in dt17. he is The starling blueprint only a lot more mentally ill. also we've heard something like the duck knight returns in running scared (this one is less reminiscent of jim but still features some things that werent in the return of barry allen). it's a rebirth arc that introduces another new origin of reverse-flash. now, he's been hyperfixated on barry allen his whole life (on a whole new level i mean) and there was the first meeting in 25th century where they Connected like thawne always believed they would. that day ended up in a fight and thawne's imprisonment because he set up casualties to get attention and praise for being the flash of 25th century but unlike all other versions this thawne has a change of heart after the fight, too. he promises to 'fix everything' including himself, he even goes to therapy afterwards. then he goes to the 21st century to tell barry how much he accomplished since they last met and then sees barry saying to wally one meaningful phrase he said to thawne that perfect day. like it wasnt something special only barry and eobard shared. like the day they met never happened. like he forgot thawne ever existed. like he was replaced as barry's speedster partner/friend/whatever he thought they were after that day by wally. and that shatters thawne so much he runs back to 25th and just decides to become the reverse-flash and make barry suffer until he gives him attention and recognition he deserved. frank angones, i am inside your walls. you CANT deny you based your versions of dw and nd off flash comics and thawne particularly. and more, you legit made reverse!eobarry au and put it in dt in duck forms. i have been losing my mind about it for 3 years now. i am exposing you and there is nothing you can do to escape that.
fifth(ish). yeah, and btw about friendly four from life, the negaverse and everything. did you think they actually escaped being mirrored in the flash? ha. i present to you reverse-rogues from the 25th century aka the renegades, carefully created by zoom and thawne himself, thinking it would somehow be funny.
Tumblr media
cant believe hunter once saw it on tv put 2 and 2 together and went 'eobard my dude we need to go full negaverse with the 25th century. we need a friendly four to your negaduck. i swear it'll be Hilarious'. god the only thing they lack at this point is nega!gosalyn (i mean. hunter actually did try something like that with inertia, saving him from the museum and trying to teach him how to torture flashfam into improving them but thad was more of a nega!honker and reverted hunter to crippled powerless state just because. love that kid)
and that's all i have so far, if anyone here also into both yellow-red mfs with no life feel free to comment or even add more because there sure is or at least will be more and no one has the power to stop it.

Quick tip:
Sometimes you're sewing on a fancy-ass sewing machine, and it will stop and give you a broken thread error. You'll get a pop-up on your screen that says, "check needle thread," or "thread broken," or something. Sometimes, this pops up even when the needle thread isn't broken.
You, having determined that the thread is not broken, close the pop-up and keep sewing. The error comes up again, and again, every time you start sewing.
You now have two options: You can stop sewing, pack your machine up, take it to your local or semi-local sewing machine store that offers service, pay money to have it serviced, wait 3-5 weeks for repair, bring it home, and find that the problem has been solved and that the technicians were not able to replicate the problem in store.
Or you can stop sewing, take the thread all the way out of the machine, thread the machine from the beginning, and see if that solves the problem. It usually does.
It would be dishonest of me to present these two options like they are equal problem solving tasks.
Yes, I know that the thread isn't broken. You know that the thread isn't broken. But your fancypants machine, which has the mental processing power of an infant yet which is absolutely unyielding to anything but its own logic, does not know that the thread isn't broken. Just do what it wants, because it will never decide to see merit in your ideas and attempt to compromise.
I've started seeing this a lot at work, where someone brings the machine in to be troubleshot instead of just fucking taking the thread out and putting it back in. Fun fact, that's the first thing we can do, and also fun fact, gas is $6 a gallon, so not driving the machine 95 minutes to the sewing machine store just so that someone can take the thread out and put it back in is actually pretty damn prudent, fun fact. I don't know why this happens (and I see it most with Tacony machines and Bernina) but the machine literally told you how to solve the problem, so please just do it.
The HV Topaz line sometimes likes to do this thing where it has an error that pops up, where it generates an error report file and tells you to email that to an automated system. This is because the machine is not wifi-enabled, and cannot send that message for you. When someone comes in and says they got that error, I very innocently ask, "and what did they say when you emailed that error file to them?" knowing damn well that they didn't try that, and getting massive enjoyment from watching them admit that they didn't try that. That error file is personalized to the exact fault that made the machine fail, so your sewing machine store can't solve that problem for you apart from just taking the file off your machine and emailing it for you. Your sewing machine store also cannot do anything if, instead of bringing your machine in to be troubleshot, you just took a picture of the screen and asked us what the error means. The error, which says "a error file has been generated. Pleas email this file to <email>," means you should take the error file that has been generated and email it to the email.
Frankly, if your machine was over $1500, it probably really wants to help you solve the problem on your own. It will give you steps to attempt to resolve this problem. If you take it to a service place, the first thing they're going to do is attempt to follow the instructions given by the sewing machine. These very, very frequently solve the problem. No one knows what's going on better than your expensive problem child robot, so listen to it. We have people all the time who say, "I don't get why it didn't work at home, but I bring it here and it stops having the problem!!" I understand that watching that happen is very frustrating. However, you can often save this frustration by rethreading, changing thread, changing needle, looking in your bobbin area for lint or needle strikes, looking at your thread cutter for lint and thread in there, turning the machine off, turning it back on, flossing the thread into the tension discs, and other really basic things that cost you a max of $2 to do at home. A really good portion of the time, the reason it happened all the time and home but doesn't happen during service or pre-service check-in is just because you didn't try hard enough, or didn't try the right steps, to resolve your problem at home. I'm not allowed to say that at work, but I do believe it's the truth.
The other reason why you might take a broken machine to the shop and it works there is because sometimes your broken machine just needs to be put in the car and driven somewhere. I'm not bullshitting you on this; I genuinely believe this to be the truth. So, if your local sewing machine store is 95 minutes away, you can probably save some time by just taking your machine to your local McDonald's drive thru instead.

So, as far as I can tell, after today all of the lovely Tripoiers are doing a complete 180. Now that he might come back with his memory all banged up, they’ve decided they no longer want qRoier to get kidnapped anymore! Which is awesome! For them! But I’m just here like… imagine the angst :D!!
Like imagine what would happen if the Federation takes qRoier and not only fumbles his memories, but completely wipes them. All the way back to when he first arrived on the island. He would’ve never experienced the Abueloier incident, Bobby and Tilin’s deaths, the taco incident, the betrayals, all of the friendships he’s made and has lost (kidnapped or no longer logs on). All the pain he’s experienced gone in an instant
Those who watch carefully will know how deeply all of this constantly affects qRoier. So just think of the emotional whiplash when the members of the island, who would be panicked about qRoiers wellbeing after the kidnapping, are seeing him being returned by the Federation… Happy? Like truly genuinely happy. Happier than the French have ever seen him. Happier than the the Brazilians have ever seen him. Hell, even some of the original members of the island have to do a double take because they’ve never realized how much qRoier’s mental state has declined since day 1
And not only that but like!! Would they try to get his memories back? Would they willingly try to reawaken the grief and pain he experienced so he can “be himself” again? Or would they let him start fresh?
I love qRoier with all my heart which means he gets the angst hammer! >:D (I’m so sorry! For the dump! I just like the way you analyze characters! And would appreciate your thoughts!!)
Now see the kicker is that q!Roier is a very good actor. He more or less behaves the exact same way he did before he started experiencing the Horrors, he just has a bit of a harder time openly trusting people. The only person who knows how sad he actually is rn is q!Bad, and that’s only because Roier had to tell him for the survey. He doesn’t care if the Feds know he’s sad, he’d probably go with them willingly if they asked to meet him alone. He’d scream and protest and go kicking and screaming if they actually tried doing something to him, but also?
The Feds love him. They always have, and even the current Cucurucho seems to have a bit of a soft spot for him. Even the ‘gods’ (read: the admins) will call down lightning on him if he asks, and they’ll revive him in dungeons he’s doing solo. They’ve been reviving him since week one without fail. The Feds allowed his grandfather- an “outsider”- onto the island and let him stay and they saved his life when q!Cellbit killed him because Roier was sad. The only things they’ve ever refused him are a gun and the return of Bobby, but even with Bobby they let him and Jaiden have more time to say goodbye than every other parent got combined. They pay special attention to his happiness- remember when Cellbit’s task for the day for them was to find out why Roier was sad and what would make him happy again? The entire point of the Quest for Bobby was for Roier to see how many friends he has because the Feds know he’s lonely! They’re just really bad at being a support system because they don’t understand the emotions going on.
They like him to the point that he’s actually questioned multiple times if he’s actually part of the Federation, and other people have asked the same, which definitely won’t ever come up again.
This is all to say: I don’t think they’d wipe his memories because he isn’t actually being a problem. Quackity was a problem. He was making other people sad, so he had to he dealt with. Meanwhile Roier is alone in his sadness, which isn’t optimal, but I think that they quite literally like him and his family too much to fuck with him on that level. They’ll punish him eventually, but their attempts to cheer him up so far have actually had some results. He isn’t trying to kill anyone anymore, and he’s happy enough with his family with Vegetta and Foolish and Leo (all the Federation’s favorites) and then with Jaiden (Cucurucho’s favorite) and then with Cellbit and Richarlyson (we all know how much the Feds love their favorite employee.) He’s domesticated (outside of his new bombing obsession), and that’s probably good enough for the Federation.
After all, the saddest people are oftentimes the happiest.

absolutely wild learning about my austistic leanings later in life because like
my parents just thought i was “eccentric” and found me rather entertaining, weirdness and all (plus their own probably undiagnosed AuDHD making their benchmark for normal skewed anyway) and my mon specifically was always so “mever change for anyone just be you” from a very young age so i just…
never experienced the concept of masking i guess?
Not as masking, I mean.
i would read accounts from autistic people talking about their experiences and struggles and pressure to conform and masking and the mental effects thereof and i would feel empathy because i “went through similar issues” but i th
i thought i was just being bullied for being Weird. just in general. like kids do. that this was a case of “well this sounds a lot like what i go through, but im not actually autistic so it probably isnt my place to join the conversation.”
it just never clicked that, “um. hi. these are the exact same behaviors you do. and there were moments in your life that almost led you to masking. because thats what it would’ve been. masking. but your dumb ass thought it wouldve just been ‘changing how you act and who you are in order to be bullied less’ which okay TECHNICALLY yes that is an accurate if watered down description of masking too, but.
Then you refused to on principle, because bullying is bad and fuck you and got angry about it to the point of overcompensating and INCREASING your Behaviors (tm) until you completely skipped over one of the key experiences that wouldve helped you identify with other people on the spectrum later in life.”
I just rolled through life like a steamroller of righteous, spiteful confidence that my preferences and actions were nobody’s business but my own and vice versa unless they clearly and directly affected others - so much so that I never actually set any kind of benchmark pattern for the way (NT) people around me act.
So I never had a benchmark for masking.
like im going back through all my memories of friendships that soured because i took everything at face value instead of trying to read deeper into cues. because I would always just say what i wanted people to know, straight up. like if i wanted attention i would ask for it if i wanted them to know i was hurt i would tell them. That made so much sense to me i assumed that was the norm. Because clearly. Thats logical. and obvious. So certainly other people are doing the same.
I got blinsided a LOT by the games my school friends and later some early adult friends played, yeah, but AGAIN (see: steamroller of self confidence) I simply assumed that was THEIR problem, not mine, and just… grieved the friendship and hoped for their sake they’d eventually sort their shit out 🤣
I literally thought they were the ones having difficulty with social contracts and cues and relationships.
Then over the past couple years the more I see accounts from other people in the AuDHD spectrum, like “yeah neurotypicals actually [thing i had been assuming was just an asshole trait for years without questioning it], heres what they really mean and a good script for responding” and “its funny how i [exact behavior i did for years] and no one realized i was austistic till later” im like… 🙃
And the last kicker was the post about food touching with the tag response “sometimes masking your autistic traits ends up more autistic than the unmasked trait” and my gut reactions were, in order:
…why would you bother to mask that, why is the way you eat anyone elses business?
i mean i guess it would ease up the pressure a bit, i got bullied for that too, i can see how maybe you wouldnt want to have to put… up with…
oHHHH SHIT IS THAT WHAT IT WOULDVE BEEN. IF I HADNT BEEN SO ANGRY ABOUT BEING ASKED TO CHANGE. IT WOULDVE BEEN MASKING. IF I’D KNOWN WHAT THAT WAS. THIS WHOLE TIME.
its just… its just been a series of months of me shaking my head and realizing my entire life has been that meme like “Am I having difficulties connecting socially??? No, it is everyone else who is wrong.”
🤣 girl help

ALrighty!
Spoilers for RWBY ep.... 8 I think? Below the keep reading as well as criticism:
So I was wrong about the Cat. I wish it had turned out to be a morally dubious good guy, but whatever, guess the writers wanted yet another 'the person guiding you is actually not trustworthy' plot.
Here's what I'm gonna say - Neo got fucking taken over and possessed the moment that she actually started getting a spotlight as a villain? HATE that shit. I want Neo, not just some conglomerate taken over by the cat? And I don't like that she talked at all. It should've just been the cat's voice.
Idk if Little is dead or not, but I really don't care about or like Little, so if they are dead, okay??? Better than having to see them again tbh.
Seeing people 'resurrected' but all wrong was kind of dissatisfying? Torchwick was the only one of them who was actually used well (because rwby is going through plotpoints at the speed of light in fourteen to sixteen minute eps so of course we can't sit with things,) but his voice acting was off and so it messed with the immersion some. I don't blame them for not being able to get an exact copycat and I don't think they tried very hard since they didn't need Roman for long, but still, I wish his voice actor had done better. The animation of him was pretty good though.
Ruby ascended? Fuck that shit! I have hope that we're actually going to get 'Ruby down in the tree realizing what 'ascension' actually is, but first off, I wanted Ruby to have a breakdown and struggle, not to be full on suicidal and decide to basically kill herself. Second of all, if this means 'no more Ruby' I am going to be so pissed off. This is Ruby's show, right? Or it's supposed to be! Even if this means that we don't get much Ruby for the next two episodes, I'm still gonna be mad. The 'development' we've gotten so far is just Ruby being in pain, and then seemingly dying? I'm trying not to count my chickens before they hatch or whatever, but this could be worst case scenario, people.
The moment where Ruby was getting attacked by everyone who was dead was... Well, first off, it was weird. Because A. Why would Neo bring in Clover, Leo, and Ozpin? Was she just bringing in everyone she thinks that Ruby may have sort of known who died? Second off, why does Neo think Penny cared about Ruby most in the world? When did she have access to that information? How did she know to use Penny that way? Third off, I liked the 'Ruby strikes out at Ozpin, only for Neo to replace him with Oscar' thing in theory but I would be wrong if I didn't point out that once again the only member of Team RWBYJNOR with dark skin gets the most violent things happening, which is a bad pattern. I get that it may be because Oscar is actually more like Ruby's friend than the rest of her team atm (which is sad,) but I just think the writers should be aware that this is a thing they do that they maybe should correct. Maybe they could've had it be Weiss or Yang that Ruby 'accidentally killed' in these visions? Just a thought. Fourth off! I liked how Neo transformed people into Ruby's alive friends and family, judging her for the 'murder.' Fifth off, I just gotta say the combat was not good for me once again. Neo literally has several people there fighting for her, and they all shot like stormtroopers? Ruby's discombobulated and depressed, so her going down without much fight isn't the problem, the problem is that Neo alone by herself should have been able to easily bring her down, let alone with her clones there to help her. Maybe she only knew Roman well enough to really replicate his style, but Neo and Roman? Tag team of the century!
On to... Team WBYJ. I'm not even gonna get into the fact that Blake and Weiss were more sympathetic to Ruby's struggles than Yang was (I am really frustrated with Yang this season,) but they all just stand there and do nothing while Ruby drinks down poison? What the hell? That is not a freaking good look, guys.
Anyway... I don't know how to feel about this episode, but I'm mostly frustrated and disappointed. And on the other hand, I guess we got good pics of Roman and Neo? I'm gonna have to wait to form a concrete opinions on this ep until we can confirm what the frick actually happened next ep, but for now, it's looking like another 3/10. I got some enjoyment, but overall a bad experience once again.

I have been going so insane over the zelda timeline regarding totk like I am LOSING my mind
like. either 1. botw/totk is a completely new continuity. worst option. boring.
2. it is SO FAR in the future of the (probably downfall) timeline and there has been SO MUCH canon-typical time bullshit in between that the other two either bleed over OR the ever-funny hyrule warrior's convergence theory happens that it may as well be just a soft reboot and history is just. repeating endlessly. also kind of boring imho
OR 3. totk memories happen sometime after skyward sword. interesting. also a completely fucking insane idea.
it's a misconception that SS zelda and link founded hyrule! they almost certainly didn't!
did the zonai make the timeshift stuff in SS? the tower of the gods in WW? the ooccoo? a fascinating concept!
what about the triforce? who knows! i don't think minish cap has anything to do with it either and it does get sealed away at some point sooooo
but more importantly
is there a fucking dehydrated ganondorf sealed away underground for every single zelda game
most people would be like, 'no, of course not, thats so stupid how does oot ganondorf exist if totk ganondorf is in hand jail already' and 'ganondorf has a history of reincarnation/revival but that can't happen if he's still alive ya dingus' and normally I would agree! I did agree! I've been scratching my head trying to make this work since I started playing totk
except!!! except!!!!!! we have literally already seen this happen before!!!!
so. skyward sword.
skyward sword is a closed loop time travel story. I cannot stand when people try to shoehorn another timeline split in SS because no split happens. that's the point. that was hylia's plan. the first hero? before skyward sword link? hylia's chosen knight that defeated demise? that was always skyward sword link in the past. demise even confirms this in dialog. something something he's 'never seen a hylian stand up to him before.' idk the exact quote but it Very Much Implies demise has never encountered any incarnation of link before.
so. how do we kill the imprisoned (demise) in the future and then go back and kill demise again in the past in a closed loop?
because we seal demise's consciousness in the sword, and his body in the ground
the imprisoned is clearly mindless. even more mindless than downfall timeline ganon post-resurrection. it has one single goal, which is to reach the temple and.... the master sword. with the consciousness of demise sealed within.
we have confirmation that two versions of the demon king can, technically, exist entirely separate from eachother.
it isn't a stretch to think that if his body is sealed away, effectively dead and unable to spread his malice, that the spirit of demise's hatred (if its not sealed with the sword, like in totk) would reincarnate until the time comes that the seal weakens enough (the first calamity) that it doesn't need to.
obviously there are still problems here like. where are the rito? (personally I think they just fuck off to hebra, which only barely exists in any other game, and I wholeheartedly believe the WW rito are a completely different species)
if totk ganondorf is sealed under the castle before oot, but the great plateau is implied oot castle town, why didn't we find dehydrated dorf there? uuuuuuuhhhhhhh next question
(listen the great plateau doesn't really match up with oot castle town anyway, no other details really match, definitely not the typical 'death mountain to the north(east), lake hylia down south' geography we usually see)
is rauru totk and rauru oot the same or different? zelda actually calls the sages 'ancient creators of hyrule' in oot, and since rauru is the only actually ancient one there.... uh. its entirely possible! why does he look hylian in oot? uhhhhhh? magic? because seeing some giant talking goat person that has never been seen before might not inspire trust in the traumatized monster-fighting 9 year-old-turned-16-year-old. also isnt oot rauru ALSO the owl? its been a LONG time since I played oot so I genuinely don't know if I just made that up but if so the guy has a history of changing form I guess
honestly I think we do have to allow for a certain level of handwavy 'new game' leeway, just like we do with EVERY game, in order to make this work. the map is always different. some things are introduced that have never once been heard of before in any other game. some things DONT exist that have in other games. some things are so different they're nearly unrecognizable. there are little easter eggs and no, they don't always have to mean something.

One of my therapy practices had to do with attachment styles and I went to see how did it change for me - because I knew it has changed again.
I went through them all.
I used to have an anxious attachment style, then I spent many years with a disorganized/fearful-avoidant attachment style and, more recently, I've reached avoidant-dismissive... but not for the reasons one would think.
I have a lot of issues with the whole concept of "attachment styles" because it feels very much like astrology. It's prescriptive and judgmental, without any room for nuance. The "avoidant" is as much as a boogeyman as the "narcissist". Someone with a working brain can see the issues in this and how it can be much more harmful than helpful.
For the avoidant-dismissive style, there's the assumption that a person closes themselves to others, not letting people in too close, and this is why they behave that way, and not the reverse.
Yes, of course I find it difficult to open up to others and let people in, because I feel like it's a waste of my fucking time? Because I always end up having to do the emotional labour in these connections, because I always end up having to compromise core values and boundaries for the sake of staying together.
"Emotional intimacy, trust, and dependency on others are difficult concepts for you. You prefer to create personal boundaries and rely on yourself" are indeed difficult for me because the majority of people I've met are more interesting in fucking around and/or having casual relationships, which I have no interest in (because I have plenty of those already).
All the time, all this time, I'm here busting my ass in therapy, trying to fix my shit and chasing people after people, and I cannot fucking trust them because they can't even do the bare fucking minimum. Why the fuck should I keep on going with someone that I can already see, from the start, it's not good for me? How many times I've had this exact same conversation with myself and reached the exact same conclusion?
I'm angry because this is something that I'll have to sit with in therapy and talk and I'll be made to feel like this is my fucking fault when it really isn't.
Instead I'll be labeled an avoidant (the irony of this term coming up again after so long, huh?) and difficult when I'm literally, physically and mentally exhausted of trying to bond with people that have no fucking interest in me? Or only temporarily? Or only casually? Or only sexually? Etc etc etc etc etc......................
"Well, just keep on looking then!" I am doing that already! It's exhausting too! I'm in a constant state of social exhaustion because of that. It's a pain in the fucking ass.
Yes, I'll keep on relying solely on myself because I cannot count on other people to do shit for me. I cannot trust people won't bail the moment shit hits the fan - because they always fucking do, how funny, huh? I won't let people in to be hurt again.
I'm going to filter people through very strict and demanding ways, my quality of life is a priority for me. My internal peace too. I don't need others and I sure as fuck don't need dead weight around me.
I'd love to be in a relationship. I feel like I'd do anything in my power to make that happen AND YET I'm just one side of the coin here. It can't work if I'm doing all the work. It can't work if I'm the only one wanting it. It can't work if communication is shit. It can't work if I'm the only one investing time and energy, making sacrifices and compromises to accommodate another. It can't work if a relationship is not being prioritized and nurtured properly.
Of course I'm an avoidant, I'm protecting myself from the sea of literal shit that is other people, and it's infuriating to me that I can't help but love them.
I'm not going to blame myself anymore. Not for a problem of social nature. I'm doing what I can. I'm following the treatments to the best of my ability.
It doesn't depend only on me.
Let me be an avoidant if that means I'm not subjecting myself to subpar relationships and bullshit from others. I hate being single, loneliness greatly harms me but the alternative - this bullshit - is literally unbearable. I don't want to go through something like this ever again, no thank you!

Delete your account, anti-vpn loser
I guess my post broke containment overnight huh.
i'm not anti-vpn, I literally said *in the post* I use a vpn everywhere else online. I got banned for using a vpn. if there wasn't the risk of being banned again, I'd be using a vpn right now on this shitty little ad-riddled website. how in the fuck am I anti-vpn? I'm anti-aggressive spam filtering is what I am, i'm anti-over automation at the expense of users, and that's what the problem is on this website, overly sensitive ban triggering without human oversight. it's the same automoderation used on sites like fandom/wikia where I've modded a huge wiki for six years, and their ip ban tool works in an identical way, I'm not pulling this out of my ass. all this is literally what I said in the post, if you actually read it. go look in the notes on the post, see how many people are connecting the dots that it's their vpn usage on here that got them shadowbanned - because tumblr is not communicating that this is what's going on. when you contact support they never tell you why. but we all have the exact same thing in common.
all I care about is nobody going through what I did (the post was originally intended just to warn my friends/moots on here), which is essentially losing your account - because what's the point in being on here if you can't interact with anyone? if even your likes don't appear in peoples' notes, let alone being able to send messages or appear in tags? you wouldn't have even been able to send this anon, it would have gone into the wind. it's making people digital ghosts without communicating why or how to undo it. it's terrible moderation practise and the only thing anyone can do about it is let their friends know this is why it's happening to them, because tumblr sure isn't.

But as someone who was a trans man for 2 years I feel like I have some place to speak on it.
Bring transgender (and this is not all people but specifically my personal experiences) is based off of gender stereotypes.
I just saw a video on Dylan Mulvaney's new song and I can't say anything has pissed me off more. There is no such thing as a concrete slate of what a woman is. A woman can be a nurse but she could also be a plumber, which we all know. But how womanhood in these terms tends to be portrayed as harmful stereotypes that can harm biological women. I have no issue with whatever these people's lives are but to say that biological women are just bleeders that give birth (which some of us dont even get periods and are infertile) but then go and say that you have to "learn the basics" even though you literally just said they're wasn't anything that makes a woman a woman.
I'm sorry for my language, but what the fuck?
I'm exhausted of how this is going. And for me to sit over here and watch, mind you, literal children, be influenced by this and think to be a woman you have to be like this and to be a man you have to be like this and if you're not in either explicit rules then you're something else.
Dosen't that literally go against everything we've tried to fix as a society? I'm not a man but I have many male friends so I'm aware that if a man were to wear a dress or whatever is considered feminine he'd be called gay and said no woman would ever like him. Obviously I'm not a man but I have heard things along those lines before.
My point is, the only reason transgender exists is because of harmful gender stereotypes we've created since the beginning of society. I'm a history nerd and you can make the argument that there was gender discriminatory in hunter-gatherer times but I'm pretty sure our ancestors just new that men were biologically stronger than women. Specifically within the Ancient Rome and Greece it is known that women had practically no rights, it's a whole thing but I'm not going to get into that because this will be much longer than it needs to be.
Just think about it. Like you're the exact same person, just with different genitals. Is it really worth all the money? And if so, why? It's just a vagina or a penis it's not much of a difference.
And I'll tell you how I know. I got sick and tired of how I looked because I was "too masculine" with my blunt eyebrows, square face, and muscular bone structure. It's not even like I was extremely muscular either (of which I am now significantly more than I was at the time because I've come to embrace that part of myself). I also had a slight mustache, because body hair is, NORMAL, and my mom kept nagging me about my body hair (My mom is an amazing woman so don't say anything rude about her, it's just unfortunately how our society works). So I became trans. It felt as though all my problems had dissapeared and all I had to worry about was correcting people and changing my name. But it soon became hard. I realized how feminine I actually was and hated every part of it. Not to mention a lot of my friends are part of the LGBTQ+ and I can't explain how absolutely terrified I was to tell them. I got the "Oh are you sure it wasn't your parents or peers pressuring you into it" amongst lots if other things. It was hard for me to actually be myself when I had been hiding behind a person I created just because I hated certain parts of my personality, looks or interests for being "too masculine".
It has been said so many times and I'll say it again. The issue does not lie with people being transgender or anything under the umbrella (I don't care what you have in your pants or what your pronouns are I'll respect it because it has nothing to do with me) it has to lie with gender roles, expectations, culture etc. Its good to preserve history and culture, but some needs to be changed for the good.
Theres so many more details I could add to this to explain it more but these are just the basics. If anyone has questions onto why I have this opinion or need for more information don't hesitate to ask.
And also just remember I'm just someone on the internet so if you dont agree with my opinion feel free to rip my face off in the comments but it's really a waste of your time.

Thinking about this post about the mainstreamification of fandom and it was both too relatable and got me thinking about the early days of fandom going 'mainstream'.
I'd argue Community was one of the earliest fandoms to really become -- if not mainstream, then at least highly visible as the show was still airing. But it was so so different to what's happening now.
I think the main difference, other than it was 2010 and again one of the first fandoms to hit mainstream, is that no one treated what the writers said as the gospel truth. Fans and the showrunner/writers were in a two-way conversation with each other, and usually the format of that conversation was "No but...." It was a mutual rejection, while still inspiring a cult level of adulation from fandom. Because Community writers engaging with fandom was just another fourth wall broken, another genre parody in a show chock full of them. The writers didn't purposefully spite the fans (only the haters). They didn't shift to bashing a character because the wrong people loved them the wrong amount. They didn't stuff plot points down the garbage disposal because fans understood how to read foreshadowing. (Of course, Community was a sitcom that didn't have long term plot points to foreshadow, but still.) At most, the writers lovingly mocked the fans ala spoofing the Jeff/Annie S1 Gravity fanvid with their own Gravity edited montages in a canon episode -- which in turn only spawned more Gravity spoof fan vids by fandom. It was a mutual mocking the way siblings poke at each other.
And vice versa, no one in fandom cared whether the writers would ever make Jeff/Annie (or any ship) canon. If the writers couldn't see it, that was their problem! The fans could see it! And wrote a shit ton of fic about it. That was the point. Most people didn't even get upset when Dan Harmon and company claimed the Jeff/Annie shippers were all teenage girls shipping themselves with Jeff. We just busted up laughing because MOST of the fandom was 30+ year old women. Me at 22 was on the younger end. And sure, most of them did want to date Jeff themselves, but lbr being attracted to a fictional character is 90% of shipping. (And some people like myself were subconsciously shipping themselves with Annie because Alison Brie is absurdly hot.)
IDK what my point is here. I guess just that I was there at the beginning of fandom going mainstream and it's hard to regret that exact moment in time because it was fun! And rewarding! And spawned so so many creative works and discussions just like fandom is supposed to do.
But my god is it depressing that it ended up rotting fandom from the inside out. To the point that I try and say a S4 plot point is connected to S6 in a recent show when there's absolutely nothing to contradict this in canon -- and immediately get someone 'well actually'-ing me about what writers said their intentions for those plot points were in interviews and how that meant I was wrong. And it's not even because that fan preferred the writers' interpretation! They hate it actually! But they're so convinced that what a showrunner says is the absolute, irrefutable truth that they refuse to analyze the show for themselves and draw their own conclusions. Oh they'll complain about it all day long, sure. But engage with the narrative on a structural or meta level? Literally beyond them, and I can't wrap my head around that at all.
Fandom is not bound by writer intentions and never has been. Fandom isn't even bound by canon!!! Why the FUCK would writer intentions that can only be found in outside interviews be binding? Why would you slap shackles on yourself and then get mad that the chains cut into your wrists? Babe, look at me! No chains! I am free and happy not giving a fuck about what a show runner said! So why do you think I'm a problem that needs to be solved instead of your new life goal? Join me over here in headcanon land! Please!

so im back again looking at dc’s original sin and their recent hypocrisy over depicting human rights, and this time its bruce timm’s dcau. you know, the one where batman is a groomer and sleeps with babs.
yeah. no shit they mess everything up. continued under the cut
in the amazons-centered episode “fury” there’s explicit war crimes. aresia, who will grow up to be an amazon intent on murdering every man in the world, witnesses victorious enemy soldiers opening fire inside houses and bombing her village. when she and her mother escape to a refugee ship, armed pirates take everything and then blow it up as they’re leaving.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this? this is actually a decent depiction of war for a so-called kids show. they’re clearly capable. which should make one think, gee, are they going to apply that same careful treatment to other horrors that happened in real life?
Tumblr media
….
haha oh boy. this entire 3-part episode was a disrespectful clusterfuck and the writers were completely self-aware that it was a disrespectful clusterfuck. and im going to tell you why.
1) horrible alternate history writing.
well. this had to be the most braindead attempt at alternate history ive ever seen (along with everything else dc has touched relating to wwii) and it’s only topped by spike tv’s alternate history, which has a similar scenario to this one.
so it’s 1944. d-day fails and is the “beginning of the end omg omg” for the allied powers. i assume they mean the western powers because apparently, no american audience gives a shit about the soviet union and their vital part in beating nazi germany more than we ever could. and you know, how they were literally fighting for their lives against an entire country that wanted to wipe them out as a people.
also notable is that they leave out the pacific theater. because nooooo we can’t make fantasy bullshit about imperial japan!! but somehow nazi germany is okay to include in your shitty superhero setup.
yeah. so we later learn that vandal savage got all of his information from a laptop equipped with a cd player (lmao good luck charging that) with some loaded tidbits on how to win world war ii. it’s all cliche shit that you would learn from the history channel. “bla bla, hitler too crazy bla bla, need better technology bla bla bla, also d-day, bla bla bla.”
jesus christ did they just get super stoned and then watch one (1) documentary?
the technology in question is literally spiky rolling pins and jet planes. sorry dc, fancy technology isn’t going to save a dying war effort against a country that’s already developing an atomic bomb. nazi germany was fucked at this point and everyone knew it. nothing was ever going to bring it back. sorry. that’s the truth. dc also seems to have this problem with the typical “nazis get the bomb” scenario. which, doesn’t work either by the way, because they thought “atomic science was jewish.”
and don’t come at me with that “it’s just alternate history” excuse. alternatehistoryhub and pretty much everyone called out spike tv for the exact same divergence. this shit doesn’t get a pass either. bad storytelling is just bad storytelling.
now, if it was about america i mean the allied powers going full scorched-earth and leaving savage’s germany a radioactive, infertile wasteland…maybe id like it. it would be somewhat better than the crap we got here.
tldr: vandal savage is your average sweaty laptop-bound hoi4 player looking for worldwide validation. he gets an idea to send all of his hoi4 tactics to his 1940s self. the nazis then win the war with giant killer rolling pins.
that’s it. that’s the plot.
2) explicit holocaust denial and revisionism.
this one was only implied throughout the episode, but it was actually confirmed by the producers and writers behind the episode:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so stan berkowitz really ran his mouth here. because apparently, “to kill lots of people [in campaigns such as the holocaust] requires effort and manpower that could have been put to use elsewhere better, like defending the country.”
….
okay.
so. the holocaust was industrialized to the extreme. it was not a ‘bad allocation of resources’ that ‘could have went somewhere better.’ it was linked to the war, especially in the eastern front, where the goal was to ethnically cleanse and enslave eastern europe and replace its reduced population with ethnic german settlers. everything about it was all planned and discussed. figures were laid out. thought was put into the extermination of entire groups of people. the final solution was only the start.
what kind of ‘wasted effort and manpower’ are we talking about here? the einsatzgruppen following behind the wehrmacht? that process was phased out, but not because it was a ‘drain on manpower.’ the nazis wanted a more ‘efficient’ way of executing mass murder that could be done faster and with the ‘best results.’ the extermination camp system was the answer to that. killings were mechanized via the gas chambers and bodies were disposed of in the crematoriums, rather than being routinely shot and disposed of in mass graves. the only argument i could see for ‘manpower’ is the camp personnel, but even then it wasn’t the personalized approach to killing that defined the einsatzgruppen. starvation, forced labor, brutal conditions, and illness were killing the surviving camp prisoners too.
and it was the whole point. the holocaust was a deliberately structured, planned nightmare meant to kill off thousands of people just for existing. nazi germany applied the lessons of the assembly line to mass murder. to characterize it as a ‘pointless waste of resources’ reeks of historical insensitivity and ignorance. removing it from nazi germany is enabling holocaust revisionism and denial. both of which are common today. now you have a history in the dcau where “the holocaust was either cut short or never happened at all.” by doing this, you are spitting on millions of people by suggesting, even in a fictional context, that their trauma never happened. you are delegitimizing the memory of the holocaust by deciding, intentionally, to whitewash it outright.
the problem isn’t just that they couldn’t depict the holocaust. it’s that they knew, and chose not to because it would break their whole narrative.
the rest it is typical cowardice and ignorant writing. ‘defending the country’ as if nazi germany hadn’t started the european theater on its own after making a false-flag attack? what kind of ‘defense’ are we talking about here? if you start a war and other people fight back, that’s on you, dumbass. you reap what you sow.
and this thing with savage apparently ‘stopping’ the holocaust by being ‘professional’ if there even is such a thing in wartime? is that supposed to make me empathize with the character somehow? “yuh he work for nazis and is ebil dictator but least he’s not a fanatical murdering racist hurr durr!!!”
which brings me onto the main problem here.
3) portrayal of nazi germany and nazism as an ideology in general.
i think you have a serious problem on your hands if you’re going to use the iconography and history of nazi germany, but then shy away from depicting it accurately. am i supposed to suspend my belief and accept that a bunch of violent racist shitstains allowed a non-german foreigner, who is canonically a caveman and most likely classified very low in the nazi racial hierarchy, to just walk in and take over just because of ‘cool technology?’ and then gets allowed to halt their genocide program based on racism and eliminationism literally in the ideology?
i’m going to tell you something that you probably don’t want to hear. vandal savage would not be accepted in anything near the nazi party. at best he’s denounced as a freak against nature (as pretty much every other metahuman would be, despite this whole ‘superhuman’ narrative that people are trying to conflate to nazi racism) and his plans are stolen and credited to some other asslicking sycophant. what does his dcau version have besides immortality? maybe he’s ordered to be killed and it obviously fails. but being immortal doesn’t mean you can’t feel pain. or that your brain won’t eventually snap from the helplessness of surviving everything, living with the humiliation and never being allowed to end it.
didn’t like that? sorry, that’s the reality of nazism, racism, and exclusionary eliminationist mentality in general for you.
Tumblr media
in the episode, nazism doesn’t get much of an explanation besides the general “take over the world” bullshit. swastikas and iconography are conveniently censored out, which is a problem in itself. unless you’re following the law, like say in germany, if you have to censor out parts of nazi germany, ideology and iconography included, because its not ‘appropriate’ for your audience…then maybe, you should try another plotline instead of sanitizing history. which shouldn’t be a problem for the dcau in the first place, because, once again. they have shown literal scenes of war crimes being committed against a child and her fellow refugees.
but dc comics has a bad history with this topic overall, and im going to confidently say that i’ve never seen anything that depicts nazism, explicitly named, as accurately as it should be. j michael stracynski’s first volume of wonder woman odyssey does a great job at explaining the methodology of genocide and the banality of evil without ever bringing nazi germany into the equation. it’s not even set in world war ii at all, but there is some offhand imagery that invokes nazi mass murder nonetheless. and it’s not surprising, considering JMS has personal experience with the ideology. his own abusive father was a war criminal and nazi collaborator.
dc can portray the ideology accurately and with the respect that the victims deserve, both historical and modern day. anyone can, if they do enough research. but the problem is, most of their ‘fun ideas’ lose the plot when confronted with the real horrors that they can’t face. there is no ‘fun’ in any of this. you either accept that truth and write conscientiously, or you fuck off back to your lane and never go near the topic at all. because it’s better not to have exploitative stories than suffer through actually reading one.
4) superhero brainrot over reality.
so why did the writers knowingly erase the holocaust from the dcau and omit all explicit references to nazi germany, even as they depicted other war crimes elsewhere and actually had a character intent on committing a global genocide?
the answer is simple. they even admitted it themselves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
that’s right. they didn’t care for the millions of lives lost in world war ii, or the human cost of that period to the point where “genocide” was coined as a legal term for the first time. no, this entire thing started off the base desire to recreate the jingoistic, american war propaganda of the golden age and satisfy some kind of itch. style was the motivator here over substance. that’s all. their own words speak for themselves.
conclusion
unless they have a personal, even harrowing connection to the ideology or knowledge of the topic (as jms does with his family history, or someone who has seen the ideology up close), a majority of people in the comic industry do not care about depicting the horrors of reality accurately. their motives are small-minded and focused on escapism. what the dcau writers wanted was a modern version of the golden age propaganda, where the american public knew next to nothing of the details in the final solution and nazis were just ‘stock villains.’ it couldn’t work, not with the knowledge we have today. so they cut out the holocaust, censored everything incriminating and watered it down to the point where it didn’t really matter.
and who out there, except a couple of people, are actually talking about it? for the most part, nobody else in the industry or the consumer market seems to care. look at the writers who are actually taking inspiration from this, or people citing it as something ‘decent’ for storytelling.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
haha. oh god. we’re fucked.
tldr: despite being more than capable of depicting war crimes: the dcau writers couldn’t handle the reality of nazi germany and the holocaust, but still wanted their world war ii propaganda copium, so they intentionally pissed away every drop of their remaining self-respect and somehow got away with it.

Why do you hate carol?
Omg so many reasons. I'll start with the more "reasonable" or justifiable reasons:
Ok well first of all, she killed two innocent people who were part of her group because they coughed a little bit. Like what kind of person murders two people just because they're sick? I know her "reasoning" was that she wanted to stop the spread of the disease in the prison, but like WHY MURDER??? JUST QUARANTINE THEM??? Also IT DIDN'T EVEN WORK because of course it didn't, the sickness had already started spreading anyway. I think Carol just wanted to murder someone tbh. Rick had every right to send her away, and from that point on I thought her morals were fucked up and she kind of continued to get worse for me.
She was HORRIBLE to those kids, Micah and Lizzie, especially Micah (or whichever one was the one that wasn't homicidal lmao). She straight up told her that she was weak and that she was going to die if she didn't start killing people, even though she was the one who actually was fine with killing walkers (you know, the important thing to kill). She was just so hard on her and for what? They were literally children, they had a right to be scared. That being said, I don't think she was in the wrong to kill Lizzie, because she kind of didn't really have a choice I mean what else was she supposed to do in that situation? But the point remains (and this is one of my biggest problems with Carol) is that she hates people who she perceives as "weak," even though in the beginning of the apocalypse, she would've been considered weak too. I just think she has no fucking compassion and it's really annoying.
Speaking of kids and emotionally abusing them, um SAM??? She scared that kid shitless even when she knew he was already receiving abuse at home from his dad. I thought Carol was supposed to be an abuse survivor? And yet she can't have compassion or be kind to other people in a similar situation? Carol was so awful to Sam and I can't remember the exact words but basically she told him he was weak and that he was going to get eaten alive by walkers which is a fucked up thing to say to anybody (even if it did end up actually happening).
Her constant leaving and peacing out when things get difficult. She is a coward, and she'll say she's leaving to protect everyone else, but really? It's just because she's selfish. I mean who would do that? I don't buy that she's a "lone wolf." Daryl is a lone wolf who still looks out for his friends but leaves when he feels he needs to. He left Alexandria not because he wanted to but because he wanted to find Rick (aka, he was being selfless). Carol leaves because she's scared or just doesn't feel like dealing with shit that she helped cause.
I generally don't like the way she treats Ezekiel. The guy clearly loves her and cares about her and she's so frigid towards him. I actually think they would be cute together if she would pay him an ounce of the respect he has for her.
Literally everything she did in season 10. I mean this is obvious. Again, I understand that her son died and that's horrible and no one should have to go through that, and her wanting revenge is absolutely understandable, but the way she did it? Manipulating, lying, hurting people, putting everyone's lives in danger, starting an all-out war and getting so many people killed by extension... (Daryl isn't innocent here either. He enables her bad behavior, which I do think is systemic from his past abuse and I would almost go as far as to say Daryl is used to being manipulated and lied to by people like Carol, but I won't get into that because it's a whole thing and it contributes to the more serious reason as to why I don't think Carol and Daryl are a good match). She did so much shit in season 10 I don't even know where to start, but basically it all led up to the cave incident, which completely happened because she was reckless and not thinking about the lives of other people. And then that scene where she tugged on Daryl's arm, crying and screaming at him begging him to "just say it"... I don't know that didn't sit right with me. He doesn't owe you anything. You just got people he cared about killed. Daryl was right to be mad at her, and I kinda like to think he's still mad at her lmao. At least he should be.
There's definitely more but those are some of the main plot-driven reasons as to why I don't like her.
By the way, I totally realize that Daryl, Rick, and every single character in this show have done shitty, immoral things, but Carol, in my opinion, is the worst and has done so much bad shit that gets dismissed as her being a "girlboss" like??? She's not a girlboss she's borderline sociopathic. She perpetuates abuse and doesn't care about anyone but herself. She's a poorly written character, and the writers don't even know what to do with her anymore. They've spent so long framing her as this girlboss badass but she's just an asshole.
Okay now let's get into some petty shit:
Her wig is garbage pls someone rip that thing off it would be camp and iconic
She gives me major pick-me/not like other girls vibes (actually I am pretty sure this is canon lmao she would absolutely bully me for liking the color pink and wearing dresses)
She would definitely yell at a customer service/retail employee (trust me I know)
Her stupid beet cookies fuck off with them shits
The way she "acts" when she's trying to be all sweet and shit and how it always works and no one sees through it. Girl that act is fake as shit and you're telling me no one would see through that??
Her pairing with Daryl is mediocre at best like I don't think they have any romantic chemistry, but even as friends they're boring together sORRY
Um ok yeah that's basically it. Also please don't hate me that's just my opinion and if you disagree that's ok lol

Final Rant About She-Hulk
[Disclaimer: This is very reactionary, written while watching]
- *opens and closes her mouth* *gesticulates* *lost all ability to speak* ............................................................ I have no words. Wait no.
- Ok so... Jennifer got a little bit angry, destroyed a TV and a wall. She scared people, but ultimately she didn't attack anyone and surrendered the moment the law enforcers arrived... AND SHE IS PUT IN THE SAME FUCKING PRISON AS THE FUCKING EMIL BLONSKY WHO WENT ON A FUCKING RAMPAGE THROUGH HARLEM AND PROBABLY KILLED A LOT OF INNOCENT PEOPLE PLUS SOME POLICE OFFICERS AND MILITARY MEN!? WHAT IS THIS? Like seriously, what is this, because she seems to be unproportionately punished for a minor and justified anger episode. Yeah, she is a Hulk, but she surrendered, which Hulk and Abomination WOULD NOT DO. Abomination would just fight, while Hulk would run away, because he is that type of person. WHY SHE ENDED IN PRISON? WHERE IS HER SCENE WITH SOME LAWYER SWOOPING IN AND KEEPING HER FROM GETTING INTO PRISON IN THE FIRST PLACE? WHY IS THE LAWYER APPEARING ONLY AFTER SHE WAS ARRESTED? WHY?! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?
- I agree with Mallory that what people saw was a monster when Jennifer got angry, but do people really have such a goldfish kind of memory? Don't they see that Jennifer surrendered immediately and didn't even injure anybody? Speaking of which, Jennifer is also right. Anybody in her situation would react the same, AND I disagree with Mallory here. Jennifer is a Hulk, yes, but looking at how she behaved, she was not out of control. If she was out of control completely she would have fought the people who came to apprehend her, she would not fucking surrender herself willingly to them. If she was the monster people see her as, she would go on a rampage through half of the city. But well, I guess she is a woman, so nobody would treat her as if she was a man. If she was a man, her anger would be seen as part of who she is, instead of something that makes her into a crazy monster. Hell, people loved the Hulk for that exact reason. That he went on out of control on rampages. Geez! Give me a fucking break.
- Did Jen got similar terms to Emil Fucking Blonsky? I am so mad.
- Also, really? Are we going to ignore the band of incels targeting super women now? (Yep, they went and ignored ALL OF THEM).
- AND SHE LOST HER FUCKING JOB! SHE LOST HER PRIVACY, DIGNITY, HUMANITY AND JOB. HOW MANY THINGS WILL BE TAKEN FROM HER? ... SHE LOST HER APARTMENT TOO!?
- Interesting thing though is that she lost her right to turn into She-Hulk, which you could count as losing powers, even if she didn't lose them at all, so technically Jen got what she wanted, but also she didn't get what she wanted. She didn't get normal life again when She-Hulk is finally gone. She got broken pieces of the life that she may never recover enough to live normally. She wanted to be a successful lawyer, and what happened is that she no longer is that. She cannot even go outside without reporters asking about what happened. I bet there will also be people that will treat her like a monster now, even when she cannot turn into She-Hulk anymore. HELL, she is even more vulnerable as a woman now, because she is in the position when any attack at her person can end fatally in more ways than one. She could be fridged literally here. Which is SCARY.
- The only nice thing so far: Jennifer loves Legally Blonde. Me too, Jen. Me too. Also did you know that Elle is coded as autistic? What an icon. I love her. Jennifer and I share love for Elle.
- Me right about now: *inserts Tony Stark to hack all of those incels and destroy them, because they dared to attack one of his favourite Hulks* They would be so destroyed that they would not want to see the light of day anymore. (Yes, I know it would be not feminist to make a man deal with Jen's problem, but let the girl dream that Tony would be so furious we would be ready to fuck all of those incels lives to Kingdom Come). His reputation would NEVER recover.
- *takes her chair and throws it at Dennis Bukowski* SHUT YOUR TRAP! YOU DATED SHIT! How can this guy even say such things. Like ugh, what is his problem!? Ah, wait. DELUSION. If I take him and drown him in the nearby lake, that will still be not enough to erase the taint from the world from anything he ever said or do. That man is literally the worst. Fuck him. Or more like NOT fuck him, because he doesn't deserve it and his genome may be too much for humanity. We will seriously all go into extinction if guys like him continue to procreate. I am starting to fantasize about castrating this guy.
- No! We don't want you to get screwed over, Jen! But thank you for finally saying out loud that we were saying for weeks. WHY this story is treating you like this? WHYYY!? You don’t deserve this!
- I can accept that it is a mental health break. You definitely deserve one after this bullshit! I feel like we all need it.
- How did we know she will use Pug as her incel stand in for the secret incel party? xD Elven old lady foreshadowed that lol.
- OMG that gross rich guy, seriously?!
- WAIT, DID JUST THOSE INCEL DUDEBROS SAID THAT THEY WOULD SMASH PUG? Should I be angry, or should I laugh that some of those incels are closeted bigoted homosexual men?
- Lol, it makes sense. Rich guy who lives for collecting superhero stuff. He has enough money to create several shell companies that run the website. OMG, seriously, if Tony was alive, this guy would be so dead. It would be a billionaire against billionaire fight. But Tony is not here, and we all want Jen to destroy this guy, because only then will Jen get justice. Nobody should do it for her, she should do it for herself, so it would have meaning! Smash them, Jen! Smash!
- WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT! "He is in the lodge, some private event"... THAT ROOM LOOKS FAMILIAR, WHAT THE FUCK!? EMIL, WHAT THE FUCK!? YOU WERE BETTER! I BELIEVED IN YOU. HOW FUCKING DARE YOU!? But welp, what did I expect from this guy, seriously? ... Ok, never mind. Apparently he didn't check for who he was fucking speaking, and now he is protecting Jen? Like, seriously, Emil. CHECK YOUR FUCKING CONTRACTORS, DUDE! I mean, they are a secret organization, but they said their fucking name JUST THERE. Ok, well... yeah, Emil has no access to internet. I forgot. My bad. He had no ability to do the research. But he did have ability to get money and get hired, like, what the fuck Emil? Seriously, what the fuck. So do you have internet access, or you are just I dunno neutral in everything?! EXPALIN YOURSELF TO ME, EMIL!
- Lol, she just left her TV show and went into another xD Just to roast the team working on her show's storyline. ROAST THEM, JEN! ROAST THEM HARD! SERIOUSLY, YOU CANNOT IMAGINE HOW MUCH I WANT TO HAVE AN ABILITY TO JUST DROP INTO MCU CREATION ROOMS TO JUST POINT ALL THE STUPID IN THEIR STORIES EVER! I have so much to tell them.
- Also, Jennifer is completely right. Last time we saw Bruce, he was in space. It would be AWFULLY convenient if he dropped on Earth into the Emil's cabin, no less to fight. It is impossible. Same for Titania. It almost looked like Bruce and Titania had Jen bugged to hell and back, so they could stalk her location even in places that have no internet, lol. So yeah, Jen is completely justified to call it all bullshit and go speak to the manager. Kick his ass, Jen.
- "There are certain things that are supposed to happen in a superhero story". Yes, there are, but you do not have to be so BORING ABOUT IT. SCHEMES EXIST TO PLAY WITH THEM, TO EXPAND ON THEM, NOT TO CONTINUOUSLY REPEAT THE SAME THING WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING INTERESTING! Schemes are not inherently limited in the ideas you can use! Just try to pick good ideas, instead of rehashed old superhero ideas. Treat it like ART! Who cares about what Kevin wants? Kevin barely understands the universe he helped to create! That man and Russos are a menace.
- Yes, let's talk to Kevin. Feige. We are coming at you.
- Did she just break that guy's arm?
- KEVIN... K.E.V.I.N XDDDDD Should have seen that coming.
- "You are very expensive". Jen... Jen... why do you care? Fuck it.
- Ok... so... she changed the ending... so they would not show it in the end? What was the point, then? I want a rewind and I want to see the whole thing unfold again. And also where did Matt drop out off? In the middle of the lawn? SPACESHIP? Like, seriously, Jen. Where is the fixing here? I am like, so not seeing any fixing. I see skipping and indulging. I need logical for the story explanation. Not THIS.
- Didn't Jen violate her plea deal when she changed into She-Hulk? She came back from breaking the fourth wall as She-Hulk, so... I suspect someone should arrest her too? Like, hello? What happened?
- Scaar... what. where. when. what. what the fuck? SO HULK WAS 2 YEARS IN SPACE AND HE FUCKED? WHO?! WHOSE KID IS THAT!? WHAT YEAR IS IT ANYWAY!? *counts from Age of Ultron that was in 2015 to Endgame that was in 2023* SHOULDN'T HE BE LIKE 8!? Or more?! HOW MUCH TIME HAD PASSED SINCE ENDGAME?! WHAT IS HAPPENING!? This literally makes no fucking sense. (Will they try to bullshit that time works different on Sakaar so it makes sense?)
- Ah, so she was cleared upon arresting Intelligentia. Still doesn't explain lack of arrest for her taking off her ancle device.
- Tell me that I am not alone in thinking that the ending was stupid. I liked some elements of it, but the execution of it? Horrible. Ugh, where is the fixing Jen promised? I don't see it. Josh was not held accountable for the "rape by fraud" that he did (I am not American, but I learned since last week that the state of California considers consent given to someone who engaged in sex under false pretenses to be rape). The only one punished was the HulkKing. What happened to all those other incels? Because they deserve some ass whoppin’ in court of law as well. We got the whole plot of the blood sample erased completely, so now this is a big hanging plothole. Matt is cute in the ending scene, but seriously, he appeared out of nowhere with no explanation. How is this better than Bruce dropping from the sky in the middle of the battle? It is literally the same. And Scaar? WHEN exactly Bruce had Scaar?! Or he is like adopted? Some Sakarran kid got blasted with gamma and Bruce went all Tony on him, because kid needs family? I dunno. Nobody explained. I hate those introductions that tease and make no sense at all. And Emil still didn't hold himself accountable, because he skedaddled to Kamar-Taj to avoid the law at first opportunity. Where is accountability here?
- What is this mess? I literally have no more fucks to give. MCU is a mess. *hugs Ms Marvel, the only very good show MCU ever birthed*
- Y’know what? I cannot shake the feeling that if the show ended last week on a cliffhanger it would be infinitely better. It would use cliffhanger as licencia poetica and exploit the fact that stories that didn’t close all its points are valid too, and then it would have whole season 2 to actually crack on Intelligentia, to show Jennifer’s case in court, make Matt come back to help Jen and showing Jen nagivating the world in which she is now seen as a monster etc. Infinitely better.
