they lived at the top of a hill in a trailer in a trailer park neighbourhood in laramie, wyoming so to say the least that fucking sucked for everyone involved

the trailer was so small that all 3 boys ended up sharing a room, gunner and wyatt sharing a bunk bed bc they cldnt fit 3 beds into one room it really was every childs nightmare bt they quickly grew used to it tbh

gunner was always more of an artsy child than invested in sports - though he does enjoy baseball and continued even to this day after their dad made him join SOMETHING in middle school - so he never rly earned their father’s respect, but he was always close with his mom since they had the same calm temperament

(depression/anxiety tw) he also gained a list of mental health issues that their mom had as well, including social anxiety and major depressive disorder

(violence/abuse tw) their father always encouraged pretty volatile behaviour and it caused a lot of physical fights and arguments between the brothers when their dad told them the best way to get over it was to start hurting until someone tapped out, it was just a chaotic and pretty abusive household but no one knew and their mom definitely wasn’t going to say anything about it to their dad

(missing child/kidnapping/anxiety/depression tw)  wyatt went missing on a weekend that their parents were gone because of a trip they won, and things just got worse from there, high school was really rough for gunner, his anxiety grew worse as time went on that no one found wyatt, their dad grew more hostile towards them, cliff left home in the middle of the night never to be seen again (merely leaving a note so that the family didn’t think they had a case of two kidnapped children), and their mom just grew sicker, it was rare that she would ever leave her room and if she did it was in fits of random energy where she would do something spontaneous and completely unnecessary to their house as a way of coping

the two years that gunner was at home after cliff left were pretty brutal and as soon as he could, he was fleeing wyoming and going to school in irving

(internalized homophobia tw)  things are far better now that he’s out of his home situation, but ofc he still has a few personal things he’s working thru; the paxton’s were raised in an incredibly religious household, and he’s got some classic Catholic Guilt going on upon realizing that he’s not jst attracted to women n he avoided talking abt it forever/stayed in the closet fr far too long bt he’s sort of come out now in his own way even tho he does still get a bit nervous talking abt it rly

he’s also ‘dealing’ rn (just pharmaceuticals) which is frankly funny to think abt bc this man is abt as threatening as a care bear bt money is tight all things considering and a librarian job doesn’t rly cover it, and with the amount of meds he’s on, plus incredibly frequent doctor’s visits, needing to pay for extra epi-pens, inhalers, etcs. bills add up so he’s cutting back his meds n selling wht he can spare which is . so unhealthy bt thts life in corporate america baybee!

is literally allergic to everything. grass, cats, most fruits, milk, most nuts, bees, latex, probably more i cnt even keep up w them its pathetic

if things cldnt get worse he also has quite intense asthma so he carries an inhaler with him at all times

loves 2 film random things at parties, makes him feel more comfortable at them n he makes short films of them all after

going off that fact he did a film internship in nyc during the summer and is trying to find a job in that field

doesn’t realize demisexuality is a thing so he’s never been that fond of sex but has this stigma in his mind that that makes him Broken so he still Tries n it jst doesnt go well tugs my shirt collar

hey i just saw in your tags that you got an adhd diagnosis.. would it be cool if i asked you how you went about getting diagnosed? im welsh too and ive been dealing with the welsh nhs mental health department for years and i genuinely feel like im going nowhere with it all. its totally cool if you dont wanna talk about it tho i understand its a v personal topic! :)

heads-up: i’m still in the process of getting a medical diagnosis for adhd (not from nhs wales, i moved to england... quite a while ago). the service in cambridgeshire is, as far as i know, aware of my existence......... and that’s basically all they’ve told me so far Y E E T

i do however have an educational diagnosis! which does not entitle me to medication (hence the medical route) but is accepted by my university as sufficient evidence to justify reasonable adjustments, and...... is also apparently enough evidence for the government to give me money? but i still have to spend ages waiting on the nhs............ hmm. anyway yeah that was mostly organise thru my uni which may or may not be possible for u? idk

basically my route to diagnosis was: 

1) realise towards the end of summer between 1st and 2nd year of uni that what i had assumed was some kind of undiagnosed depression could be symptoms of adhd, thanks to a friend of mine discussing how their adhd affected them, and then realising i exhibited Other symptoms 

2) emailing the student disability centre........ not As Soon As Possible, but pretty soon after i got back to uni, in which i expressed a desire to come in and discuss assessments for potential splds (specific learning difficulties, idk if that’s jargon only used by our uni or not?) (also yeah part of this was “i did research and loads of things overlap so Who Knows What This Is” and part was “....do not want to assume i have adhd” just in case)

3) having an appointment with one of the uni specialists several weeks later, having filled out a question on Things Affecting My Life, then in the appointment doing some of the typical pre-tests and answering interview questions, which suggested probably adhd and dyspraxia and gave them enough to advise me to go get Diagnosed

this is a step that might vary from place to place bc i know for one thing that one of my friend’s unis has their own assessor, but mine doesn’t, so they tend to rely on an external one in london...... which is private. they covered most of the funds costs for the assessment but still oof

4) get the train to london during december for a 3-hour assessment with a specialist doing all sorts of fun tests, after which she said that i’d need to wait for the report to be finalised but she felt comfortable diagnosing me with co-existent adhd and dyspraxia (or the weird grey area where some of those bits might cross over with symptoms of the joint hypermobility fuckery that runs in my family but either way presents and is managed in the same way)

5) get the report about 2 weeks later (plus a bit bc christmas and new year) confirming everything and including some fun test stats and analysis, organise a GP’s appointment for the NHS route + other medical shit i need sorted and talk to the student centre to organise a student support document + other shit i qualify for like mentoring and Things That Cost Money

GP appointment ends up with a paper pack of stuff i need to post by the end of the month (which of course i delayed until the last minute and wasn’t sure if i posted on time), SSD takes a few more weeks to organise/write and then a few more to distribute to all relevant staff. eventually found out the cambs nhs clinic have apparently accepted me when they sent me info about gdpr they’d forgotten to send and the letter header said smth about “acceptance” but that’s the last i heard from them like.... a month or two ago???? idk oof

anyway yeah so i have enough of a diagnosis to qualify for student support and provide supporting evidence for nhs route when that actually finally gets going somewhere but..... it is taking a while (i think fams on the local fb page are saying like, 6 months is typical? ugh) and the only reason i’m still pushing it is bc i want to try options for treatment rather than just symptoms management.

a few people have/are considering going the private medical route just bc things are taking so long except 1) that costs Ridiculously Lots Of Money which...... afaik this time the university won’t pay for and 2) although there is a degree of transfer between private and nhs you can do, if you get your original prescription from a private doctor and it’s not effective or has side effects i think you need to go back to a private doctor to change medication or increase/decrease the dosage, you can’t just switch to your gp and be like “ay mate”. so that costs Even More. honestly i think i only know of it as an option bc i am surrounded by People With Money and it’s not cheap even for them

so yeah, TLDR: i have a diagnosis which is just enough to access adjustments at uni and potentially look into supportive things that cost money like software etc, but am unfortunately in what sounds like a similar boat to you regarding nhs, which i am pursuing to see if this is indeed an option.

ehh i went to the doctor the first time 5 years ago (it popped out and back in while rehearsing for the fucking school musical. why did they make it compulsory it’s when i started missing school) and the.. 15th? time? in 2019 when i broke my leg bc i fell and the kneecap didnt go back in (and hasnt every time its happened since) but they always say theres nothing they can do other than refer me to physio but i rlly struggle w remembering to do it :// i thought it might be to do w the extra bone on my leg????? but they said no (theres like a little ski jump on my bone its rlly weird) help i went into way too much detail w that paragraph

my hair did not poof :( i am extremely upset

i’m okay :) haven’t been awake long (only since like 5pm) but i found this app called bottled where u basically make friends and idk if these ppl will stay friends but i like it bc it’s helping me get better at social skills :)

Anna:  I thing it’s probably the fact that Ben and Weirdo seemingly left the pillows back in London to travel to Vermont for the Bunes’ wedding during Easter weekend (after leaving them back in London for a quick getaway to Finland on New Year’s Eve) and instead of rushing back, they took a detour to NYC to have dinner, go to the theatre, take a pap walk and then return back to London only because Ben had to be at the IW fan screening tonight Nonny.  Just a hunch as to why people who were on the fence are jumping over to the dark side.

Nonny Nr. 2:   Boy these two get vacations w out their kids every few months. I used to think that believing there were no kids was crazy and anytime I went that road I shook myself back, but I’m convinced these liars don’t have kids in their house. Unless as others have suggested there is something about them where they have been deemed unable to safely care for the two children themselves unsupervised there is no reason for constant vacations and time away.

Nonny Nr. 7:   i believe chris was an oops on ppurpose by sh to trap ben, and then they just had hal cause ben figured he was stuck might as well make it work. they are only ever seen w one at a time. no major holidays w the family that we know of for some time ( the first one?), when they were w hal, there were people around that we joked were his real parents. he won't talk about them. what if the kids are being monitored by a third party, and these two can't be w them alone?   why else would they be on constant trips during the holidays w out them? the dinners and dates out i can undertand, but not seeing them arund town for years, add to that they seem to be free of the kids on holidays etc. im thinking the kids don't live w them full time

Anna:  What if the answer is much simpler and Sophie Hunter is not the exception to every rule of human gestation known to doctors and Harvey thought Weirdo had a grand idea at PSIFF and baiting the general public about an imaginary pregnancy would do the trick and get Ben loads of publicity?  What if when Ben lost the Golden Globe Harvey decided it was time to confirm speculation and Ben “drunkenly” sealed his fate at the after party?  What if the second pregnancy was Ben’s idea because he was desperate to convince people his totes for real, not PR stunt family was not imaginary?

here is my challenge for today >:) here are the most interesting things/funny things that i saw today!!

ok this first one is me bc the lighting was nice hAHAHAHFSLKDFJLSKFJ and i am very interesting (: to u (: LOOOLLL but yeah i thot the lighting was nice HAHA and my skin is nice thanks birth control!!!! 

ok this is. the 2nd one/..so i was just in the mall and i see this and im like kJFDLSKJLXCKVJLJ imagine a family wearing this? IM JFDSLKF i just like specifically how the shirt says fucking KIDDIE....LOOOOLL yah but watch white people wear this. omg i just realized they all have matching bottoms too im going INSANE LOL

3rd thing. OK! like i said!! my cousin plays shooting games...really funny tho!! lOL i did not expect that!!! at least she is a gamer and she draws anime chibis so im like wow. lOOOL #relatable #measakid #wow! she knows what league of legends is so i guess!!! she is a real gamer (but she doesnt know csgo or overwatch, but she is a huge COD fan LOL ???)

4th. i got gongcha and i dont know why this random dude is on the cup LOOOL isnt it most boba places like the cups are clear and stuff?? IDK LOOL philippines gives out like these paper cups and STRAWS TOO OMG..the straw was made out of paper and it got SUPER like...soggy after 2 minutes god please help me LOL

5th!!! this is the view from my hotel room ;_; i dont wanna leave this hotel cuz its so nice and i have my own space away from my actual botch mom...omfg...we hate to see it!!! but its super nice and close to this popular mall (whcih is ok, i am indifferent it is just big) LOL but yah!!! its super pretty sigh TwT lets get a hotel room together sometime again!!!

ok! for today, i woke up at like...4 am then 5 am...cuz of jet lag. (it really be like that) and then i just lied in bed pretending to be asleep(actually on my phone) so my parents wouldnt bug me!!! today i found out that there are actually lil bugs on strawberries..if u dont wash it thoroughly...scary...i am no longer buying my own fruit and chopping it up HAHA

so like i got up and got ready for the day around like 7 am!! my parents left to go to the gym at 6 and i was like wtf LOL they r probably eating breakfast w/o me..and I WAS RIGHT DUDE I TEXTED THEM and they were like yah come down?? and i got lowkey annoyed like BRO!! why u drag me out here and say u wanna spend ‘famIly tiME’ and then continue to do shit like this LOL but it’s ok!! so the breakfast buffet i went to was super fancy!! here are the photos below

they had filipino breakfast, and then chinese food too o.0 like dimsum! and the lil soup dumplings!! they also had sushi..which was weird!! LOL but it was brunch i guess but at 7 am...LOOOL i had a green smoothie (LMFAO but it was like...not thick consistency it was more like pressed juicery and p like nice consistency! it was mango, spinach, and ginger so it tasted nice!!)

i had fried fish and bacon and then breakfast meat thingy for breakfast!!! and i had a sugar donut!! also i had this filipino dessert that uses like almond jelly/soy jelly, syrup, and boba ^__^ it’s called taho!!

anyways yah my parents kept asking me about my friends/you back at ucla and i was getting rlly uncomfortable cuz they were being oddly nosy....idk how but i ended up talking about how im close to jess lee and my mom told me i should become an influencer to get free shit ~_~ so im like dO U WANT ME TO BE A DOCTOR OR A INFLUENCER LOL which is it!! bro !! so annoying!!!

anyways we just chilled at the hotel room and my young cousin came over n stuff!! my mom left with my aunt to go get her plastic surgery or sumn idk and then me and my younger cousin and dad went to the mall!! that’s where we got potato corner and gongcha LOL

my younger cousin was shy and quiet at first but she opened up once i asked her about video games and she was more comfortable!! when we got back my dad just took a nap but me and my younger cousin (ez) decided to watch horror game let’s plays. she actually like knows some of the horror games i know cuz of horror lp’ers LLOOOL 

we watched one called the doll shop?? it was creepy it was like this japanese dude who worked at a doll shop, and he has a doll stored in the back of his private room that’s his ‘favorite doll’ and like literally throughout the game theres posters of a missing girl and then turns out the guy is hallucinating/mentally ill and the favorite doll in his room is like this dressed up corpse of the missing girl im KJDLFKJF I CALLED IT. DUDE LOL i was like yo that guy is fucked up!!!!! i bet he is hiding something!!!

we watched another one called ao oni KFJDLSKFJ its some funny pixel rpg horror chase game and idk it’s funny ill show u HAHAHA it’s dumb bc the monster looks dumb it’s like... SOME BIG ASS PURPLE CHIBI DUDE LOOOL

and then my mom came back whatever and went to bed...cuz my dad wants to leave at fuckign 1230 am for the next place we’re going to...im deceased cuz like i will literally have to nap for 3 hours then sleep another 3-4 hours on the way there and im pISSED CANT WE JUST DEAL WITH THE TRAFFIC LOL i dont want to leave at fcking 1230 am!!! what the heck!!

but yes!! im getting jollibee with my dad and im prolly gunna pack and then get ready for bed ^__^ but that’s my night for today!! ill update you more as it goes along :3 

OH ALSO our commissioner says she will give us our lineart for the chibis so ill send that to u later hehe!!!

look i’m not going to explain what happened but i did end up in the tank with the moray eels and here’s a science lesson kids:

moray eels live in tropical and subtropical seas and have a wide jaw with sharp teeth. this jaw enables them to grab onto their prey. Romans kept them in seaside pools bc Extra af and bravissimo taste

but i only have disgusting european goat yogurt at the apartment because 1) I’M AN IDIOT 2) i was trying to eat healthy and be an adult but we all know that’s not going to happen because instead you end up walking down to the freezing garage at midnight with a broken hand staring into the renegade emptiness and struggling to open the lid of the trix yogurt AND IT TASTES SALTY BC OF UR TEARS 

anyways i don’t have a spoon so im doing it the old fashioned way and scooping the yogurt with my tongue when a car (the C4 Chevrolet Corvette which was bruce’s dad’s car so i can deduce they’re coming from somewhere nice but not too nice maybe like a science thing) comes in at steady pace and im like cool cool just licking up my yogurt. and then the car stops. 

and the gremlin JUMPS OUT like the evil goblin child he is 

[sort of like that part in sleeping beauty when prince philip is all tied up like a sex slave but totally not and maleficient’s evil minions are hopping over the bonfire which im sure is like imagery of SOME Milton thing but i digress]

and then B gets out all slow and calm which means he’s pissed and trying to be a Dad about it but idk why he even tries that bc Dames always pushes it too far and everything ends up like scrambled eggs only NOT as delicious and Dick is like “hey im the peacemaker this is my role in the family im so glad im no longer an only child thanks bruce good fucking call” 

so i sequester myself into the corner just trying to eat my yogurt because I CAN because Alfred left for 3 days to visit Julia, which he never gets to do but everyone worked out patrol and civilian identities and he eventually agreed. so im nervously licking my yogurt not even enjoying myself any more bc 1) family drama ruins everything and 2) im not at the hospital when i should be bc i have a shattered hand and B would be pissed at me for stopping for a trix yogurt break

i DID get a stilted thank you from the demon brat which was uncomfortable but kind of nice too because it’s nice to be appreciated for putting your life on the line. or like. your yogurt because B took it away from me when he was fixing my hand and i never got it back. 

and that was the really painful part in all of this.

Medication anon is back- I was just wondering what made you want to take them (that you feel like death can't come soon enough is given but why that over anything else? assuming you don't do therapy too, idk?) and if you can feel any change at all? I'm terrified of giving it a go because I feel like I'm making up the shit in my head despite the fact that I would literally rather drill a hole through my brain than participate in society so I don't deserve to try but also, 1

I’m afraid that it’ll cause some weird ass reactions and take a while to settle which would impede my ability to take exams in a couple of months? (As though I’m in any state to take them now, lmao) Am I just crazy? So yeah, I feel like I’m making things up so maybe I should just suck it and make Lifestyle Changes but also… I’m glued to my bed so idk. I’m sorry I’m rambling, it doesn’t make much sense but I’m just a messy ball of hyper/ sad feelz and I want the world to stop so I can get off 

hiiii! tbh a lot of what youre saying i can really relate to. i spent a loooong time thinking i was faking or being overdramatic or just lazy and just trying to cope by myself and pretend that it wasnt really happening. as for deciding to take medication its kind of a long story, i first starting going to therapy when i was 18 because my mum kind of picked up that something wasnt right and that i needed help and booked me a doctors appointment where they offered me medication but i didnt want to take it basically for all the reasons you’ve explained in this ask. so eventually my mum decided to pay for me to get private therapy bc the waiting list to get it on the nhs was a year and a half long. so i went to therapy for like ?? 3 or 4 months before i moved to london for uni and then i stopped going bc i couldnt afford to pay for it anymore and i was like. u know what. i’m fine!!! i dont need therapy!! i’m an adult!! (spoiler: i was not fine) long story short a couple months ago i decided that i was really struggling and that i needed to see a doctor and get my shit together and i was honestly really up for taking medication seeing as therapy alone honestly just didn’t feel it had helped me at all. like to me my illness is so physical? so even though i had learnt all these coping mechanisms at therapy i just felt like my brain was physically incapable of performing them. like idk the only way i can explain it is that its like i had a broken leg and my therapist was telling me i needed to get from a to b but nobody had given me crutches or a wheelchair.

 but anyway YEAH this is such a ramble but i just felt like therapy alone wasnt enough and that i needed a physical aid, which i guess i saw as medication. my doctor has me on a waiting list to start therapy again and my first session is next week and i think pretty much any doctor will recommend that if ur going to take medication, that you do therapy as well so you can tackle ur symptoms from all angles. honestly i feel like theres such a stigma around taking medication for mental health issues that really shouldnt be there, in my experience its nowhere near as scary or life altering as people assume that it is. obviously it depends on what specific medication u take, but most antidepressants take 6 weeks minimum to have a proper affect, so its not like u take one and theres this huge reaction and u become a different person or an emotionless zombie, yknow? for me i did have some initial side effects, but they were pretty minor. stuff like feeling a bit sick, a bit jittery, and ironically having heightened anxiety. but that all went away after a week maximum. 

i think medication is different for everyone and although not everyone will benefit from it, i feel like if you think its a possibility for you, you should definitely ask your doctor about it and decide together whether its a good choice or not. they can start you out on a low dosage and if you have bad side effects or just change your mind about taking it then your doctor can help u to come off it safely. like, i have weekly doctors appointments to talk about my progress and my meds, its not like they just give u some tablets and throw you in at the deep end yknow? honestly, theres no shame in taking meds and mental health is just as important as physical health and everyone deserves a chance to get better and not suffer in silence and just ‘suck it up.’ meds are there to help you, theyre arent this yknow, super scary pill thats gonna turn u crazier than you already feel. from what youve said i’d really advise you to just make an appointment with ur doctor and tell them how ur feeling and that youve thought about medication and see where it goes from there. sorry this is so long and rambly omg but like.. i care a lot asjfhsdhf. i hope this helped a lil bit and feel free to ask if ur curious about anything else xxx
