Clipping this because it's a cute and important moment for Porsche - with Yok (his surrogate mom) and Jom (drunk best friend) both helping him to admit that he's fallen in love with Kinn
But also - do Porsche and Jom call Yok 'Je' here?
In Perth's YouTube video on Thai honorifics, he says that 'Je' is the female equivalent of 'Hia' and it's used to refer to Thai people with Chinese ancestry who are older than you (in place of 'Phi'), with the literal meaning of 'older sister'.
Now, with just that definition, characters calling Yok 'Je' doesn't mean much, but it seems to me that 'Hia' is used fairly sparingly in the show - I mostly only notice Chay using it for Porsche, and Gun (sometimes) using it for Korn. So, I'm wondering if the writers used Hia/Je when they wanted to highlight a family relationship - for Chay and Porsche (and Porsche, Jom, and Yok?) it emphasizes their closeness, while for Gun and Korn it reminds us that they are brothers, even when they're at each others' throats...
(But then, I don't speak Thai and I'm really just going off of the words I can pick up - I could totally be missing other instances of both Hia and Je throughout the show. If anyone has any insights about this, please let me know!)

When I started watching the last episode of Energon it made me realize something about Jetfire.
I always noticed in Energon he was always one of the most verbally vocal about his worry for Optimus when it looked like he was going to die
I always made jokes about why, but it just sunk in that those jokes are probably accurate
Do you think that whenever Optimus got badly hurt or looked like he died that it reminded him of when he died in Armada?
That he was worried he was going to lose Optimus and he couldn't do anything about it just like before
He just has to watch unable to do anything, but cry out for him
Or is this me just overanalyzing stuff again. You decide

4 types of college Professors
Chill - Never takes attendance. Syllabus doesn’t mean a thing. Doesn’t care if you come to class, but is so nice, you feel guilty if you don’t. Multiple people will stick their heads into the classroom during the lecture just to say hi. Goes over every question that will be on the exam in detail, then tells you they’ll let you retake it if you get less than 80%. Relates everything back to personal life in an absolutely hilarious, but always informative way. Can make the most boring subject absolutely fascinating. Knows everyone by name. Volunteers somewhere at some youth addiction treatment center. Facebook full of former students. Will answer you on Twitter before answering an email. Has multiple “favorite professor of the year” plaques. Knows all the slang. Everyone passes the class with 80% or better.
Passionate - Forgets to take the attendance more often than not. Hates giving exams - wants you to understand the material, not parrot back definitions. Will get in the fight with the college over exam requirements. Syllabus flexible and probably filled with grammatical errors. On top of current events and always armed with a dozen recent news articles relating to the course. Likely to drive something from the late ‘80s that looks to be held together with duct tape and a prayer. Gives most points for class discussions. Emails distracted but always have more information than you need. You’ll pass the class, but find yourself caring more about the stuff you learned than the grade. Writes killer recommendation letters.
Obsessive - Always takes attendance. Keeps the attendance sheet on the table until half-past starting time, just to pointedly mark off when you’ve arrived late. Syllabus has 10-12 pages and requires a doctorate degree in the subject you’re taking. If there's a mistake in it, will insist you're following instruction wrong, rather than admit to making the mistake. Mid-term contains six essay questions; the final exam is accumulative. Does not eat or drink in class, with the exception of one generic water bottle. Three research papers, each one five pages longer than the previous one. No phone in class, not even for emergencies. The textbook is God, you must memorize it. If you pass the class, you wear that as a badge of honor. You'll have no clue what their class was even about approximately 3-6 months after you’re done. You'll have nightmares about their class for years.
All Done - Always takes attendance. You aren’t there on time, don’t bother coming. Doesn’t have time for you. Teaches three other classes at the same college, a High School class, and five other classes at a different college. Just wants to retire. Never answers emails. Nods and tunes out when you’re speaking. Doesn’t get upset when you don’t do the work - seems to expect failure at every turn. Has a presidential election sticker on the car, but it’s couple of decades old, and you think this is the last time they cared about anything. The total grade consists of a few papers, a few presentations, and homework. Will collect the homework, but won’t read half of it. You never get your papers back, and probably won’t know what your grade is till 2 weeks after the class is done. You’ll pass, but a little part of your soul will die in the process.

Question: Is platonic simping a thing?
I see any and all fictional characters I enjoy and think to myself: “Gosh, they seem like they’d be cool to get to know… Maybe we could hang out or something?”

What is your favorite thing you e made that you felt like no one got/didn't take off?
About edits? hmm that’s a good question…
I remember being frustrated because I used to think that edits on tumblr were always the same and devoid of colors, and boy do i love colors! So everytime I made something that was really tumblr-esque, either it took off and confirmed my opinion, or it didn’t and it frustrated me even more.
And really, my most popular posts are probably gifsets and they’re really not what I prefer to do (and much respect for people who makes gifs)
Also I really easily delete my stuff when it doesn’t take off.
Now I have a few edits that I liked and weren’t necessarily successful:
this one is tricky because it’s a sensitive subject, but i really liked the idea behind it and while it’s not executed perfectly, I was really proud of this and what it entailed. That almost makes me want to redo it maybe with the skills and tools I have now.
this one wasn’t really successful and it made me a bit sad because I felt like it was the first time I was really trying hard, and Black Widow is one of my favorite character, and pink/red is my favorite color combo lol
this one had a few notes so I can’t complain but it had way less notes than another edit I made for the same movie that I like way less…
Also I tend to overtly criticize what I make. I may like it when I post it but I will hate it later lol
I probably deleted a lot of things I made throughout the years on this website.
Other than that I think it’s in writing that I get the most frustrated when it doesn’t take off, and I know I wrote a few things that I thought would get more kudos/likes/notes. I do realize today that it’s because I crave the interactions fanfiction can bring. Having someone talk about what you wrote what they like about it and what it means to them? priceless.
However, I hate caring so much about notes and likes because it means nothing, but it is what it is… social medias fried my brain

humor me. imagine if you will. dearest wilson, who is in his mid forties and drunk and having a little mope time because he may be a freak but he's a freak with depression. and he's bemoaning to house about his looks bc he saw an old picture of himself from med school or whatever, like fully being a little loser about it. "i used to be so cute. i had friends that would tease me for being a 'prettyboy'. (little sigh)"
and house is eating this UP because of course they're drinking together, he gets to see wilson be like..... an unserious amount of pathetic. literally not even paying attention to the tv anymore. "do i need to insult you more to fill your quota or something"
"no, no it's not that it's just," and wilson is still present enough to know he's gonna regret showing a weakness to house of all people but whatever. "miss being a pretty face i guess, i dunno"
house (who is NEVER going to let this moment be forgotten holy shit) has to like bite his tongue so he doesn't actually laugh in his face and get him to clam up. "aw, jimmy, (takes wilson's jaw and shakes him a bit like silly dudes do or like when you roughhouse with a dog) you're always a pretty face" and he's teasing of course but also. house is house, and house says some peculiar things regarding wilson so how fr he's being is an absolute mystery
cut to house actually looking at him and wilson is staring right back at him like 🥺 with big big beautiful brown cow eyes which are still kind of unfocused, cheeks a little smooshed where house is still holding his face, the weight of his head in his palm when wilson relaxes a little. "you think i'm pretty? 🥺"
and it's so much house has to avert his gaze. loosens his grip into something a little more soft. "yeah. sure"

Hi!! I'm totally in love with your CC's and wanted to ask if I can request something? Since toddlers don't have much CC available I'd love to see more accessories for them. Like, necklaces, bracelets. Do you also create clothing for toddlers or like, in general? Sorry if these are too many questions at once!
Thank you so much ♥ Actually I'm currently working on a bracelet for toddlers. I just got a pacifier and a necklace done for them as well. They'll be available in the next days on my TSR page though! :) Since i'm currently not in the mood to create clothing and stuff, I stopped doing that. I might consider starting with it again when I renew my MD subscription. Either this month or the next months but I won't promise anything :D

there's no way the bathroom at peppino's pizza is actually that big but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . hey ummm anyway.... i care them...... anyway there's a lil ramble on my take on fake pep's like psyche or whatever in tags on the og post if ur into that kinda thing :y
hey! it's a series! fake peppino world tour: [noise] [noisette] [peppino]<- u are here [gustavo] [gerome] [noisette again]
#ramble after realtags yeag. shoutout to serrangelic btw suggesting the silhouettes thing bc i would have Died otherwise#pizza tower#peppino spaghetti#fake peppino#gustavo and brick#arting#pizzaposting#so anyway i think fake peppino has like. a general awareness that he is supposed to Be Peppino and that he was Made to do that#and likewise he does generally try to...do that. the thing he does NOT realize is hes like really goddamn bad at it#not to be mean but like...c'mon. they are pretty distinctly different kinds of guys even beyond the physiology yknow.#he's neither on-brand nor fooling anyone dsjdsjjkgfsd. BUT!#since the rest of the cast generally likes him [at least as I play it] he thinks hes doing just fine#he's like 'oh they r happy with me so i must be getting a good grade in being peppino :)'#so getting told that 'yeah you actually really suck at that but that was never the reason people liked you'#and told that by og model peppino no less--yknow THE guy he's supposed to be living up to#who's already a bit intimidating for that and who ALSO totally wrecked him TWICE in the tower#making him acutely familiar with just how formidable the guy is and how much there IS to live up to....#it's a Moment for sure. not really a sad or hurt one though. just... contemplative.#thinking abt people liking him for being the guy he's already naturally been being even though that guy is Not Peppino#i don't think he's gonna be super broken up about realizing he has a bad grade in peppino given everything else hes got now#nor do i really think he cares enough to go like reinvent himself or whatever after the fact#he seems to b pretty clearly having fun with it already so i think he just keeps doing that#and in some cases he still has the pre-installed peppino traits/instincts like to cooka da pizza. and that's fine#is this projection. yes. but if youve been following me awhile you know most of my character writing is ghdhfdgf#gonna kinda expand on all this in the gerome one which is...one after next. itll be a bit but man.#anyway peppino will never admit to anyone and especially not himself that he's gotten a little attached to the guy. hee hoo#pep tends to be kinda surly but he certainly has his ways of showing he cares. all of which are on display here#''that thing is not my son'' says man currently watching thing's antics with the 'bemused dad' arms crossed pose. yeah ok buddy.#gus is totally onto him already but hes not gonna say anything.#if u read all this ur prize is not having to go decode fp's rot13. his lines are ''meant to be you...?'' and ''wrong question.''

Have you taken any pottery classes or were you entirely self taught? I REALLY want to get into it but classes are quite expensive
I took some sculpting in undergrad, but it was in the context of casting and mold-making, not ceramics. So I'm fairly comfortable with clay as a medium but not so much with clay as an end product--not being able to do armatures and having to think about firing is weird. (If I had the opportunity to do bronze casting again, though, I would, no hesitation.) That puts me in the minority of my current pottery peers, who are largely self-taught or only learned in our studio.
I do pottery now at a co-op studio space, and technically that means that I'm taking classes there--but the classes are more like guided lab time? There's not really assignments or anything, and there's only a couple other people who sculpt, none of whom are in my class. Mostly the class just means that the person in charge demonstrates a technique or two once a week and then lets us do our thing.
Personally I think that shared studio space is the absolute best way to go. You spend less in startup costs (kilns are EXPENSIVE, running kilns is expensive, glaze is expensive) and it plugs you directly in to a group of fellow artists who can help and support you at whatever skill level you're at. Yes, classes are expensive--my class is $250 per season. But for me that includes lab space, 50 lbs of clay per season, almost all of the glaze I use, kiln time, and other people doing all the maintenance and kiln loading/unloading etc. Very much money well spent.
Artist-run shared spaces are often not turning a profit on anything with studio fees, just covering operations costs, so while it's pricey, it generally is just...what it costs to do that hobby. And it is sooooo much easier to be motivated when you're going to what is, basically, Grown-Up Art Club.
Tumblr media
But if costs are prohibitive for you to do pottery via classes, and you want to learn to sculpt, then get some polymer clay and see what you can do. It's a different game than actual clay, but form is form, and the medium is secondary to figuring out how to translate an idea into reality.
Polymer clay is relatively affordable and doesn't require nearly the infrastructure of ceramics. If you can't spend the money on classes or a shared studio, then polymer clay is a great way to develop technique and an eye so that when you're in a position to spend the money, you already have the skills to make it worth what you're spending.
