can i ask about the use of "magick" rather than "magic"? i practice wicca and so do most of the people on my mothers side and i was always taught to use the k to make the distinction between fiction and spiritual or philosophical practice.

also your comics are all gorgeous and every update makes me so happy

Ah thank you! And I guess part of it is that I kind of draw a lot from my own practice re: magick/witchcraft in my stories and how those systems work and everything? (I'm currently debating with myself on whether Donnie has a spellbook or a Book of Shadows...) I do generally operate on, like, "magic" is, like, stage magic/make-believe/etc VS "magick" being The Real Deal/related to spiritual practices/etc. So I guess it's kind of that, like.... to us, what the characters are doing is 'magic,' but to them, in-universe, it's a lot more like 'magick,' if that makes sense??? Obviously, the magick that exists in real life isn't the same as what exists in a fictional story, but, I dunno. It feels more like magick to me, I suppose.

Dude I don’t know where you’re getting this information that 13-14 guys can’t be tall at all. Literally every guy in my freshman high school grade (13-15 year olds) were all 5’6-6’0 at the beginning of the school year and they were all actively growing taller as the year went by. Letting people think Nico is average height or tall is not hurting nobody and you are still entitled to your opinion that Nico can be short. I believe all of Nico’s of various heights can coexist peacefully.

I did say "average" height and was only referring to the fact that Nico's canon height is never explicitly stated. Anyways allow me to rephrase:

Considering that half of Cass' solo is them finding acceptance with their body and self after being raised by Cain to believe that their body is no more than the ultimate weapon (and then later on that their body is no more than a vessel that must be willing to be sacrificed and martyred because of their guilt, a harmful mindset that Bruce encourages, AND Babs whole deal with wanting Cass to have a normal life but projecting HER idea of what's best for them & 'normal' instead of what Cass actually wants)—I think it's kinda dismissive to think a trans headcanon is out of reach for a character because they're also Asian??

(and the assumption itself that my headcanon is based on Cass not presenting themselves as hyperfeminine has a little bit of transphobic ideology in itself because there's no 'right' way to present your trans body or be nonbinary—they could be hyperfeminine and the story will still have elements that I find appropriate for a trans headcanon and them reclaiming their body to finally be theirs instead of just a 'tool')

#I think you probably have good intentions and it's important to be conscious and aware of harmful stereotypes #especially considering Cass' solo had writers and artists are guilty of it—something that shouldn't be dismissed just because the solo #is mostly beloved. this is a delight… obviously the production values aren’t the highest but many fun acting and staging choices here, especially the four evans, and i’m impressed that they managed to incorporate the anonymous ones and hiding in your hands without cutting songs

Y’know I think anyone who is anyone can agree Hank got done so dirty in his flipdeck but I actually have a headcanon based on his hate for night shifts and I think he doesn’t like them because it’s just creepy. Like there’s probably some stories that get spread around Maple Mountains about fucking Wendigos or something that lurks at night. And even if he didn’t believe the stories I think anyone would rather not think about something unnatural lurking around or just any bad thing happening at night in the forests

i kinda don't want to go back to camp but some of my stuff is still there

#so basically i have to go home every weekend (go home Friday after lunch go back sunday after lunch) #which means i have to go back tomorrow #and all i want to do is talk to the silly people on my phone and not be extremely misgendered and unable to correct people #cause telling campers my pronouns isn't camp appropriate. #sometimes this camp makes me want to die a little #but i already paid for the three weeks and i don't want to just waste that money #and i have some fun #but it kinda sucks to be there without my phone and it's hot out and i get misgendered and asked why i have a cane and told to get over my #meltdowns by another C.I.T amd there's never ang silemce except when I'm sleeping and the food isn't great and my schedule has to completely #change for it and i have to go to bed early and i have to stand the sun to lead songs and I'm almost always moving or standing and everyone #is loud all the time and singing during meal times is hell cause the lodge echoes so it's just really loud and i cried 4 times last week and #had about 2-3 meltdowns in five days #and I'm exhausted from it and i can't do what i used to love doing at that camp because it causes me so much pain #and no other person at the camp has mobility issues besides the 70 uear old CIT director that very obviously doesn't fully believe i need my #cane or to sit down frequently or take breaks #so yeah I'm a bit overwhelmed #not to mention i don't even know if i want to be a counselor at that camp anymore because of the whole pronouns thing #the media director said i might be able to join the media team they want to put together #and i really love this camp cause I've been going to it for so fuckin long and I've wanted to be a counselor here since my first week as a #camper #but it's all a lot #and i don't know if i should take a stand and be like “nope I'm not gonna let you treat me like this you just lost a future employee” or #just suck it up? #i hate breaking promises i made to myself in the past #and i told myself i was gonna be a counselor here no matter what #but i just dont know if i can take all that bs all summer every summer #ugh #tw vent
