eventually, mc sends the other boys out on a grocery run to help stock luke's fridge with fruits and other good snacks-for-sick-person, and alone in luke's apartment she sits next to him.

mc: hey, tell me the truth. you knew you were doing a cruddy job at looking after yourself, you knew you shouldve asked for help. why didnt you?

honestly. nuniq wasnt too jazzed about the idea of hiring a kid (grown adult but theyre a kid to her), especially an untrained one . she understands they might have a link to omen going rogue but is still iffy about the whole situation

also oof. the whole immortality thing? yeah it must be a lot to bear for clove, theyre just very good at hiding it. but like with a lot of the young radiants, nuniq lets them know they can approach her about this stuff bc shes been through it too

she can admit she gets pissed at clove bc their immortality causes them to make more reckless decisions on the field . she wants to get it in their head that you still have to be smart about these things no matter how much power you have

but! she thinks clove is very nice. very silly very sweet guy who is an excellent storyteller. storytelling is very intertwined in both nuniq and clove's cultures so she loves listening to whatever clove can whip up

so I've been wondering about this for a while, but couldn't find a post on your blog rly talking abt it (excpet the one where you mention my star wars blog). What did Order 66 look like for Spoons ? And also, what did the poor baby have to endure after-

i've had some ideas thought out for a while, just never drawn or written anything out haha. spoons had really good relationships with his jedi so order 66 really took a lot out of him ;; when tapal and cal were trying to escape the albedo brave after the order was issued, spoons was one of the troopers in the front line whose barrage of blaster fire eventually killed tapal. this would be something he'd never forgive himself for as long as he lived, even if he didn't feel like himself when it happened. he wouldn't know about the chips implanted in their heads - who would, out of his battalion? - and he wouldn't doubt that even if cal did survive, he would never trust spoons or any other clone ever again.

spoons would fight against the chip's influence the whole time, even if it did little to change his actions. it just didn't make sense to him, why the jedi he grew to love so much could become traitors punishable by death - especially cal, who was just a child. he would hesitate to fire at him as cal made his escape, but he'd still fire nonetheless. spoons was made to fight wars, but nothing would prepare him to fight against his own mind. that day would continue to give him nightmares for the years to follow, it was like his mind's way of telling him he should never forget what he did.

there weren't supposed to be any survivors after the albedo brave exploded, but among the broken pieces that crashed onto bracca, spoons had only barely managed to get away. maybe the impact shook the chip loose or maybe it was the guilt that made him flee to the farthest, most remote planet he could manage to find instead of reporting to the nearest authorities and probably be turned into a mindless soldier like he was always meant to be. of course, he'd never get anywhere with his armour so he sold every piece as soon as he could, replaced it with a disguise so no one would look too closely at his face. eventually, he'd find work on a distant planet on a shipyard like on bracca. he wouldn't just allow himself to die because he believes he doesn't even deserve that, after what he's done. he believes he should suffer the rest of his days knowing he ultimately failed his jedi, the most important people in his life.

as if he couldn't punish himself enough, spoons would abandon the hobbies he used to take comfort in. just to make sure of it, he thought he'd take away even the temptation of it, make sure he could never create anything again. working at a shipyard meant having access to power tools, and he could pass off an intrusive impulse as a workplace accident. prosthetics were cheap, after all. cheaper than losing a worker, at least.

it isn't all that bad, though. some of the workers' kids like to explore the broken down ships before they're scrapped, and sometimes the guy with the robot arms is nice enough to buy them treats. the jawa kid should really stop trying to dismantle said guy's robot arms for parts, though.

Ken is a perfect analogy for being an oppressed man, the fact that he's a himbo makes him a good analogy 4 existing at the intersection of being a man and having some sort of cognitive/intellectual disabilities (speaking as some1 who has brain damage from a traumatic brain injury i suffered b4 i was a year old) and its present in the way the ppl around him treat him, he wants 2 leave Barbie's side for a little bit and she says "don't go 2 far" he wants 2 go 2 the library and she says "don't get in trouble" he's consistently seen as her accessory, the movie mentions how it's not fair that some women are expected 2 "mother" their male partner and that's true its not fair but it also SHOWS us that sometimes women push that onto oppressed men, Ken is very clearly upset when Barbie mothers him, getting upset when she tells him not 2 go 2 far or not 2 get into trouble like he's a child and it's also not fair that some women push that onto men (usually disabled men) and expect those men to just allow them to "mother" them and infantilise them and dehumanise them and then on top of that because of Ken being a man he is taught that the only way he can gain respect is by taking over and starting fights and wars

WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR GREGOR:

So first a bit of background info. Limbus company is indeed a gacha game but it’s SO much more than that. You play as a cringefail they/them manager with a clock for a head and you have to control a team of 12 sinners who are literally more likely to kill each other first (and they did lmao) than ever befriend each other. But good news you can revive them indefinitely so the sinners are technically immortal. The plot is rly good too (Gregor’s story is literally the first chapter of the game!!) and the game is definitely worth playing just for the story and characters alone.

So about Gregor. First!!! Did you know that he’s based off the main character Gregor Samsa from the classical literature book “The Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka? Because he is!! Hence the whole cockroach bug theme with him. (literally every character in limbus is based off of a classical literature book) He has cockroach bug swag and we all love him for it.

Secondly, in the game Gregor is this sopping wet cat of a character. Like he’s so pathetic and babygirl and is trying so hard to keep it all together despite all the stuff going on around him. But he’s also one of the more chill characters and that makes him cool.

Thirdly, he was literally experimented on by this evil awful atrocious woman when he was young (roughly 15 years old) which gave him his iconic bug arm (which he did NOT want), and then he was forced to participate in a big civil war, which traumatized him and gave him war ptsd. After the war he tried to live a normal civilian life but like, he literally has a bug arm that randomly lashes out at strangers, so he can’t. (and fyi his bug arm regrows so he can’t just cut it off. He’s stuck with that shit.)

Other stuff: he can’t cook for shit, he smokes, he calls you “manager bud”, is actually decent towards you, has an apple trauma, he has a ponytail, in all of his banner art there’s always a cockroach with him, speaking of cockroaches he actually hates bugs, the other sinners like to call him “bug guy” sometimes, and obvi he has glasses which just makes him look more hot.

In short, Gregor is a pathetic babygirl war criminal with a cool ass bug arm vote for him!!

Gregor propaganda! Yeah, I did a little research into him and saw he was based off “The Metamorphosis” which I should have realized sooner from his name and insect arm. As a Bungou Stray Dogs fan and victim of AP Literature in high school, I do love literature references. (Can’t believe they gave him apple trauma because Gregor in the book gets an apple thrown at him by his family which then lodges in his body and causes him pain)

A couple times they have taken over but for the most part they kinda just chill in there. Usually they just wander about and do whatever, but sometimes they talk amongst themselves. Or to me. Or argue w me. Sometimes take control of the vessle. They arent terribly fond of the real world and hold a sort of contempt for me because I care ab my irl world so much. Like hello? SOMEONE has to keep the vessel functioning. And yes that means not just food but a job and irl hopes n dreams and friends. They're kinda pissed that I get all the spotlight but I cant exactly live like 4 separate lives out of one body. Telling people irl probably wouldnt do me any good?? Andrew has been the one chill dude in my head, thanks Andrew. He's kinda just looking at me typing this, which feels weird, but I'll talk to him a little later. It's kinda hard navigating this ship w so many people disconnected. He's killed some of the more annoying and problematic ones (thanks!!!). And he doesn't care too much to control the vessel. He's got his own life in there, I try not to interfere. He's quite sympathetic to me really, but not in gushy way. Just willing to help me irl w doing stuff, telling me we got this. Keeping the other guys in check when I'm tired.

Ashley visits too, but luckily doesn't live there. I cant imagine the two of them permanently occupying me would be good for my mental state at all. He goes to visit her too? But lives here. Hard to explain.

post apocalyptic earth where humans live under domes bc the outside is too toxic + technology evolved so now cyborgs exist + a while back some government doctors & scientists were working in a secret lab to implants animal genes w humans to make hybrids & something about genetic preservation whatever whatever. anyway.

eve is the protagonist. she's the only daughter of head doctor of that hybrid lab. it exploded 20 years ago which cause people inside that specific dome to mutate into hybrids (people woke up to agonizing pain bc their body was breaking and morphing and it wasn't made for that. josephine was one of those people ! she was a wolf hybrid :3)

we follow eve and her then group of friends until for some reasons (<==== guy who does not remember what that plot point was) the dome had to be evacuated. something about a deadly virus ? ofc as always the rich people got away first until the dome got closed off completely <3 . eve meets several people including chronos (human guy, future bf, hes a simp) maria & arthur (yes i will draw them at some point OTL) and they stick together to survive as the inside of the dome is becoming a battleground. doesn't help that part of the reason the dome was closed off so quick was that ~mafia~ (idk how else to call it, its not rly mafia tho oTL) boss stanislas was in here and has always escaped the government's assassination attemps thus far.

SO this virus slowly contaminate everyone but its slow and rots you from inside. terrible deadly soulcrushing. + stanislas is using every means he has to try to control the city & find a way out. except ex cop and also ex girlfriend jo (josephine) is here to basically kill him lol (he broke her trust & her heart and also killed a lot of people and revenge is her whole life). josephine at first is a lone wolf (haha) until she gets very badly injuried and ends up in a small alley where eve & her friends took quarters. they get her inside and find a way to keep her alive. also at this point the group has also met gabriel ! (bunny guy! he has a tragic past and i love him. hes my mary sue) and stephan ! (his not yet boyfriend who also has a tragic past and that jo feels very guilty about). gabriel used to be a test subject in the hybrid lab. he and eve used to know each other :] they are best friends now.

at the same time nath (who was supposed to be dead) shows up like hiiiiiiiiiiiii btw im here (hes one of stan's agent but when he was supposed to die he actually survived and got turned into a cyborg with special modification in his brain which makes him obey. but he did not Forget and he will fight what stan makes him do <3)

SO um after they all meet its basically just. a fight to survive and also moments where they're like. oh we're gonna die here. lets party so hard.

stan also realises he doesn't rly have a way out and dedicates himself to ending his and jo's fight for good this time which also put eve's group in danger since jo . stuck around . there are casualties which is why she feels she failed them..................

anyway . there are more stuff but its rly all over the place soobssss im sowwyyyy

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

I don't think there's anything I dislike about any character, objectively, what jro is good at is making compelling characters that are interesting to read about even when they're not supposed to be good people (ignoring Star Saber. Coughs). I've said many times what i love about First Aid but what i dont say is that Jros take on his character is exceptionally interesting to me. If there was just a bit more screen time and interactions with other characters for him... I love him being a little bitch who's extremely good at his job while also being insanely compassionate.

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

I don't see much of anything that i despise abt the way fandom treats First Aid. I am only not in favor of Aid/Vortex ship but its a matter of taste and not a problem.

I think my only General problem is when people mix Continuities and it makes it lowkey ridiculous when a character has completely different personalities from continuity to continuity and different dynamics with other characters, and then you try to shove them into different canon. I don't see it w First Aid Much but ppl do tend to mix his g1/animated self w his idw1 self which is a little disheartening sometimes. I love sweetheart First Aid like any other guy but idw1 Aid is a freak and it needs to stay that way. But it's not like... To the level of me being actively disgruntled about it.

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

If I'm gonna be real Pharma took all of my attention after initial reading I didn't rly care for anyone else but Pharma and Ratchet. Don't get me wrong, i still liked First Aid a lot, i rly liked his design, but he was kinda... On the very back of my mind for a very long time, i thought he was a nice weirdo but that was about it.

Would kill for him now though. I think he deserves everything. I think he should do whatever he wants forever and ever.

Me n the bae had a rly good rant yesterday about how sometimes Peter gets interpreted as either just this weepy sensitive sadboy (he IS very emotional don’t get me wrong and I love him for it so much) or a kind of bland uncomplicated, passive good guy just because he’s like, the protagonist and a good person with morals (unlike the rest of his family lmao) but actually Peter is NOT in the least boring.

Peter, while fundamentally a sweet, kind, good person who has a real sense of justice, IS overemotional (which means he’s not afraid to cry, yes, but just as often manifests as anger, anger at the world, at people who lie to him, literally at God…), a smirking little shit when he wants to be, a complete drama queen, can be self-righteous, doesn’t really think about what he’s doing half the time before rushing into it, and when you REALLY push him, has a completely feral, unhinged streak hidden within him. It’s kind of a delight to watch him get truly vicious when he’s trying to get Nathan back, for instance (not you, boringly gruff ultra-macho ‘I’m Batman’ future!peter. You can choke. Lmao)

(Plus how he separates himself from his fucked up, incredibly corrupt family in a lot of ways, but when it comes down to it, he is still devoted to them - he can’t bring himself to hate Angela despite everything she’s done, can’t bring himself to kill his literal cackling puppy-kicking villain father, doesn’t extricate himself totally from the Catholicism he was brought up with but instead directs his anger at God and is like ‘YOU need to apologise to ME!!!!!’)

(Basically Peter is a whole bundle of interesting flaws, drama, and anger, despite being the literal embodiment of love whose power revolves around empathy and who literally explodes because he metaphorically can’t contain it all. He’s also the furthest from passive. He literally never slows down for a second he’s always in GO GO GO mode and never stops to think about what he’s doing lmao. He’s not just a babyboy even tho I call him that all the time. Lol)

dallas is his normal go-to, and the one that he started off with. he just thought the name sounded cool, and the persona itself is closest to who leland already is. i.e., a gentle-hearted small town boy, a little silly, handsome and charming, seems like he’s falling for you like a puppy dog. dresses understated, smiles at you warmly and asks you to dance. his victim profile here can be anyone, just because he’s very social, will get buddy-buddy and chameleon with rowdier boys, will be a nice polite gentleman with the girls. dallas works well in most places and most situations, very versatile. he’s very much disarming, easy to trust. seems like someone fun to party with, also seems like a boy who would drive you home at the end of the night and not expect anything. his m.o. is usually getting you into his car first and then knocking you out. carries hunting knives and pistols, which when he started out were easier to kill with because he could separate a little from using like,, his own hands (like he once had to do in the basement cells w the other victims lol lmao). i think he has a couple variations of this type of fake identity, like sometimes he leans more college bro sometimes he leans more country boy, just kind of depends.

laurel is both a more experimental alias as well as a more specialized one. he uses laurel on men the most, for people who want a quick hookup mostly. it’s pretty risky in like….. rural 70s texas esp but i think he gets good at getting the right person’s attention and making them come to him rather than the other way around. he plays up something a bit more soft, batting his prettyboy lashes at u w a smile across the bar and then looking away u know how it is. laurel is v much an exploration of sexuality, a lot more brazenly flirtatious (which like. this type of seduction was pretty out of his wheelhouse until he practiced). laurel brings victims to seedy motel rooms or pulls them into alleys. sometimes to slit their throat in a private place, sometimes to walk them straight into johnny. also like to think him and maria using rosa are a fun flirty little double threat that will again, do this and lure people into back rooms or whatever together. typically uses a butterfly knife, or just turns the tables on someone w sheer strength when they underestimate him. probably the most nerve-wracking one to use to start with, but after a while he gets the whole process down to a science. anyway it’s giving ‘making out while spattered in blood from the guy i just killed’

jude is sort of experimental and sort of a way of letting out his Worse side and expending his anger. the most feral dog energy tbh. typically the default for when maria lures someone out to him and johnny to play w as well because he’s going for enforcer/guard dog. in a lot of ways bc he mirrors johnny in those moments, when they work together messing someone up. jude is a more tough guy sadistic side that again, strongly mirrors johnny in almost every way, lurks around like his shadow tbh. also gets pretty brutal, his crime scenes are a mess. he’ll use basically whatever to put someone down but sometimes it rly just is his bare hands. smile. the name jude was lowkey chosen for his saint jude necklace, complicated feelings w religion now that we’re doing murder etc etc. also is mostly used dealing w tougher guys who he’ll legit pick fights with so we can Take It Outside (to ur death) and like again this type of persona was a bit out of his wheelhouse until he just sort of used it as a physical outlet for his anger.

favorite thing about them

she’s just. genuinely very enjoyable. like I feel like other characters I have more specific things to say about them but she’s literally just very fun to watch I love her beautiful woman weird guy who is also a worm energy. her swagger her panache her power. all the scenes where she’s doing her professional science job and also just saying some vaguely insane shit are important to me. but then like I also think one of the most interesting things in her character was kind of unintentional as they were trying to sort her out where early jadzia was a lot quieter and more serious and theoretically more like she was before joining and then she just kind of evolves into her final form. like I don’t think that was intentional I think they just kinda went hmm this character isn’t working let’s try something else but I think the idea that sometimes it’s this gradual progression towards a balance (in a different way than it is for ezri later as well) is an interesting one.

least favorite thing about them

it’s too easy to talk about tears of the prophets and the whole like “she’s never mentioned that they want kids before now but since they’re killing her off she is now Woman Who Wants A Baby because i guess her death isn’t tragic enough otherwise, and it feels like cheating to talk about how “if worf hadn’t shown up it would’ve been you” (idr if that’s the exact quote and I refuse to look it up but it’s like that) is a horrendous retcon, but holy shit everything that happened at the end of s6 into s7 was like. it’s just so clearly spiteful?? like I’m not breaking new ground here we all know it but god.

also I do think her willingness to just like throw her life away for some random guy she met two days ago is kind of funny but if I knew her in real life it would drive me insane
