Like, sure, throughout the campaign they've had multiple life threathening missions, but only after Elias' death was there truly an all or nothing mindset— where the smallest mistake could determine the outcome of everything.

When the Walker brothers decided that they'd die, just to take Rorke down... Did they feel they had nothing left to loose, so long as both were gone and so was Rorke?

Was that the reason they really gave it their all, pushing through their injuries? They were ready to die and they made sure that Rorke wouldn't survive no matter what (well, we know how that went...)

Just how much weight left their shoulders the moment they survived? The moment they sat on the beach, panting, watching bombs paint the sky?

And how fucking hard did reality sink in at the sight of Rorke, surviving just like them?

WAIT oh my god you figured out toggles in twine??? please explain??? I've got a text effect I've been dying to add in my IF but I'm worried it'll be visually too much for some players/a pain for fast readers so I've been trying to figure out how to give folks a toggle option but I don't know how and I haven't been able to find anything helpful... any advice at all you have would be helpful and deeply appreciated!!

Oh Jesus -- I wouldn't say it's a good solution, but it works. Sometimes. Essentially I create a custom class (in my case ".snaggletooth") and in settings I create a toggle for people to either append the class to its dialogue ("true") or leave it as normal text ("false").

The code looks something like this:

Then you add a few lines of CSS code that tells the robot what paragraphs with the .snaggletooth class should look like. Theoretically this should work. I have yet to animate the text because I'm scared.

Also, to note: I'm using SugarCube v2. I'm sure this is different for Chapbook or Harlowe.

Not doing many asks today because i just spent like four fucking hours setting up my new computer (yippee!!) and transferring all my stuff (bwomp) for it not to have an hdmi port. Isnt that so great and amazing and cool /s. I have to buy an adapter because i need an hdmi port for my tablet. Which means i have to set up my tablet for the other computer again. Pulling my hair out /j. The adapter comes in tomorrow but guess who isnt going to be home?? Hopefully that'll be fun though, because we're going to the aquarium!!!!!!
