#what if bkdk is what finally did the job!?!

I was rewatching the latest BNHA episode with my roommate/BFF - who insisted she was a Shoto-only-fan and a non-shipper, though she’s been warming up Katsuki lately.
When we got to the bkdk hospital scene, I shit you not, she LITERALLY jumped off the bed screaming about how undeniably romantic it all was! Even I wasn’t that hysterical, although it might’ve been because I read the manga first.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Deku’s name being the first word out of Katsuki’s mouth? “I’ll kill you if you die on me”?
Yeah, 6 seasons worth of character development finally got her to see through my bkdk goggles...I already told her we’ll be in for another treat at the end of the season~

Holy fuck holy fuck holy fuck i cant believe this is real. It felt unreal enough when chapters 284-285 came out, and now they're finally animated and voiced and its just so beautifully made i cant believe it?? I remember saying more than two years ago that I probably wouldn't be into mha anymore by the time this is animated, but I will still get back into it when it is. And like I was right I'm not that into mha anymore but bakugo katsuki:rising is just that strong.
I fucking love bakugo katsuki:rising. I mean we all do, but to me when it came out in the manga two years ago, that was the peak of my obsession with bakugo, bkdk and mha. There are like prob thousands of posts out there explaining the beauty of bakugo katsuki:rising and why they like it, etc etc and they're like way more coherent than emotional mess me rn. But tldr, peak character development?? PEAK CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. GAY GAY HOMOSEXUAL GAY (VERY MEANINGFUL). OH MY GOD ALL THOSE YEARS OF FOLLOWING THEIR DEVELOPMENT PAID OFF.
So of course, seeing this in the anime, seeing it presented once again in another beautiful medium, and seeing it come out to the community (in general) once again that YEA BAKUGO FUCKING DID THAT makes me so emotional?? Like ok maybe if I really compare everything side by side and maybe if i rlly think abt it i might think "huh i wish they did this instead" or "they didnt do enough of this", but honestly idc rn. It's probably not perfect BUT IT DID THE JOB EMOTIONALLY AND LIKE THATS WHAT MATTERS RN?
ANYWAYS IM JUST RLLY HAPPY RN

It’s over.
My gosh, y’all. 50k!! And with that, I’m back in the world of the living.
The draft of my BkDk Big Bang fic is finished. Now we’re in final editing stages, and the story will begin posting on December 17th with chapter 1. The rest of NaNo was spent on my old Pokemon wip from 2015 ahaha 😭😭😭 But I may have a new bkdk idea started, who knows 😏
Seriously, I know that NaNo isn’t possible for everyone. I work full time but I don’t have kids and it’s only the one job (and I may or may not have done a lot of work on the clock). But even though this was my 4th NaNo, it surprises me every time. Sharpens my skills, reminds me of what I’m capable of. There wasn’t time to question plot decisions, so I just slapped them down and hey, they’re working so far.
It’s a chance not to second guess and to just write as fast as you can. I was amazed, yet again, that I could. So while NaNo isn’t possible for everyone, I think doing a challenge that feels completely out of reach is a great opportunity to surprise yourself. It was huge for me the second time I did it in 2019, and the first time I won.
I just love this yearly event and wanna show it off a little. It’s not as crazy as it sounds, and you can do it!!

final countdown: day 13
i dont have a concrete plan, just vague idea of how i want things to go and what kind of direction im heading toward, so im kind winging but also not.
so i was thinking what i should do next since i didnt want to work on r/heroes and twitch's format is pretty much done. like what's my next step? i was at work (soon to be former job) and fixing some stuff on the floor while thinking about it, which is always a great time tbh. i realized wanted to do a pr statement thing that you know org release on announcing update or when something happened and im like huh. interesting.
i think i know how to do it, but i have no experience making pr statement OBVIOUSLY so i have to pull references how corp write their pr statement and use as a framework for what i wanted in the story. i do a lot of these 'references' when i want X and idk how to do it, i just look the actual thing and see if i can do something similar to it. like that time in ch3 i needed to do a tabloid website and stylized their gossip article. i didnt know what the fuck i was doing so i just pulled up one of the well known tabloid like star or the sun and based off of that, i wrote tattleteller and that dumb article about bkdk's speculative relationship.
so i started to see how i want to do it and wrote a few lines but no more than that bc i did have work tonight and idk why but i find it difficult to work on this fic during the day... lol anyway will work on it more tmr bc i think i may need to do some graphic design. or at least learn to. agian.

BNHA Chapter 322: “DekuBowl Round 3: Now, it’s BKDK’s Turn”.
NOTE: This post contains copious amounts of gushing about Bakudeku. you have been warned.
Kirishima and Mina get their turn to propose to Deku now! KiriDeku and DekuMina get their turn!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BUT THEN.
IT’S FINALLY TIME YA’LL. ITS TIME FOR THE BIG ONE.
Tumblr media
OMG HE TOLD HIM HIS BODY MOVED ON ITS OWN DEKU YOU HEARING THIS ARE YOU SEEING THIS
Tumblr media
OH. MY. GOD. The art. BB Deku and Kacchan as Kacchan tells him everything my heart it’s happening
Tumblr media
LOOK AT THAT EVOLVING ART IT’S AMAZING MY HEART THIS IS BEAUTIFUL
WHAT.
Tumblr media
IZUKU. He just called him izuku. The world has ended.
Tumblr media
HE SAID IT. Izuku i’m sorry. 26,000 fanfics trying to capture this moment and now we’ve finally got it in canon. We’re finally here folks. And he isn’t holding back at all. That art. That full on regretful confession.
Tumblr media
Bakugou you just won the whole damn manga. You learned this faster than Deku did. You’ve achieved one billion character development points.
MY HEART
Tumblr media
“I love you” “I know”. LOL PLEASE? Anyway. Kacchan has finally held Deku. Checking off that Fanfic checklist aren’t we hori? Anyway DekuBowl is over and the winner is exactly who we always knew it would be. Because it simply couldn’t be anyone else.
Like, I’ve been jokingly doing the Harem anime thing for the last few weeks, but even though I enjoy Tododeku and IiDeku and all the DekuBowl fun and the Harem ending ida, the truth is - Kacchan is his soulmate. His missing other piece. There’s really no comparing with anyone else. There’s a reason why Kacchan knew about OFA before the rest. Why he’s the one to finally reach Deku. And why he’s the one holding Deku in his actual arms now.
Tumblr media
Oh and Uraraka tries to do her confession thing at the last minute but it’s way too late now that Kacchan’s already won. Just go do badass things Ochako. You don’t need this mess. Let Kacchan deal with Deku, he’s clearly the best boy for the job. Or maybe you two should share him.

#116 bkdk please 🥰
send me a writting ask
116. “I’m right here.”
Nightmares. Midoriya feels embarrassed to even admit he still has them.
Ochako had told him that was perfectly normal. “Heroes aren’t high and almighty, Deku. We struggle, cry, and experience loss. Why wouldn’t we have nightmares, either?”
“I have nightmares too, Midoriya-san.” Iida had confessed to him, “But, they don’t make us weak. They fuel us to stay strong and brave.”
Todoroki felt the most convincing to Midoriya. “I have them. Almost every other night.”
“Oh.” Midoriya barely voiced, feeling a little intrusive. He adjusted his phone in his hand, trying to dispel the stiff air he felt in the call.
“Yeah.” On Todoroki’s end, Midoriya heard a bit of shuffling. “If you feel like you’re the only person in the world who deals with the worst of them, you’re not. I’m there with you.”
“Do you know anything to make them disappear?”
“If I did, don’t you think I would have stopped having them?”
“Sorry. You’re completely right.” Midoriya sighed, long and defeated. “I just hate bothering people with these calls.”
“There’s nothing wrong with calling me.” Todoroki offered softly. “I get it. It also helps me to talk it out with someone, too.”
Midoriya hummed, left feeling disappointed in his gut. He knows Todoroki, as well as the rest of his closest friends, are willing to deal with his phone calls. But, he wants them to stop. The nightmares.
They always leave him in a cold sweat, gasping for air. No matter how strong he got, no matter how many villains he took down, or how much the public adornes him with glory and applause, the nightmares break him.
They belittle him. They mock him. They dare him with the deaths of his loved ones. They taunt him with deaths of his own. They curse him with images of not saving enough, or saving no one at all.
All for One. He continues to haunt him, the moment he closes his eyes and falls in a slumber. And, it leaves Midoriya frustratingly holding back tears, wanting him to leave his essence.
And, tonight was another one of those nights. Padding down barefoot, Midoriya walks out of his bedroom and into the living space. There’s a damp towel around his neck, soaking the sweat he built up from his recent nightmare.
In his hands, his cell phone was held tight.
He doesn’t want to call Todoroki, or Ochako, or Iida. He doesn’t want to stress out his mother any more than she needs to. All Might deserves a peaceful night of his own, free from Midoriya’s rambles. And, Midoriya simply didn’t feel comfortable enough to talk with anyone else.
Except, maybe there was one. Midoriya groans, slumping down on his couch.
He looks down at the phone in his hands, its screen glowing. There was a contact name blaring at him back, beckoning him to press the call button.
Midoriya hates the way his exhausted mind easily talks to him into pressing it. He hates the way he puts the phone to his ear, as if he hopes the call is picked up. He hates the way his heart beats frantically in his chest, wanting to hear that familiar voice.
Midoriya hopes his call is ignored.
“Who the fuck is this?”
His voice gets caught in his throat. Midoriya feels the burning of embarrassment suddenly engulf him, like a wildfire.
Bakugou never looks at the contact name, before answering any calls, Midoriya knows. And, he knows that if he were to say anything, Bakugou would know it’s him.
But, he can’t even breathe right now. He immediately regrets everything. Bakugou could be working, patrolling. Bakugou could have been sleeping. Bakugou could have been enjoying time by himself. Or with others.
God, he could be with people right now, and Midoriya’s wanting to talk about his nightmares. How embarrassing. How weak of him.
“Hello?” Bakugou’s voice echoes. “Hello?”
Midoriya chokes, tears falling down his cheeks. “S-Sorry.”
He hangs up.
And, just as fast as he ends the call, his phone is ringing.
It’s almost laughable. If it wasn’t for the brittle heart he had currently, Midoriya would have been smiling at the way Bakugou was urgently calling back. But, instead, he felt terrible, making Bakugou stressed.
Tentatively, Midoriya answers the call, quickly wiping his tears. “K-Kacchan—”
“Where are you? Now.” Bakugou’s concern booms.
Midoriya shakes his head. “I’m home. Safe.”
“You hurt?”
“N-No. I’m okay.”
There’s a moment of silence on Bakugou’s end. “..The fuck you crying about?” He suddenly asks, bluntly.
“It’s—” Midoriya groans, pinching the bridge of his nose. “It’s nothing.”
“Hell, it’s nothing.” Bakugou scoffs, “You fucking called me during my shift.”
Of course he did. “You should go back, then.”
“Nah, I got it covered. ‘Sides, it ain’t eventful, tonight.”
“You need to go back to work, Kacchan. It’s important.” Midoriya chastises.
“Yeah, well, so are you.”
That prickles some tears. Sniffing, Midoriya furiously rubs his eyes, frantically trying to keep them dry. The stuffiness in his nose returns, making his voice sound muffled. “I had a nightmare. That’s all.”
“You used to have shitty nightmares, when we were younger.”
“I never outgrew them.” Midoriya admits, quietly.
“Hm.” There’s a bit of wind resounding in Bakugou’s end. “Did they get worse?”
“..They have.”
“Why haven’t you told me.”
Shrugging against the phone, Midoriya curls himself into a ball. “I thought you wouldn’t want to hear about them. They are a bit bothersome, even for me.”
“I wouldn’t—” Bakugou ceases, sighing. “Then, tell me. What was it about? This one.”
Reimagining his nightmares was always hard. Midoriya remembers the faces of the people in his dreams, and the sensations he feels afterwards. But, he cannot seem to recall the story of them, the events in order.
But, for this particular nightmare, there wasn’t any bizarre plotline to understand.
“You.” Midoriya confesses. “You were in it. And, All for One had taken you, in his hands. And, right when I was so close to reaching you, he— you were gone.”
“Lame.”
Sputtering, Midoriya is utterly baffled. “That’s—!”
“What the hell, Deku. You should have known that I ain’t dying anytime soon.” Bakugou huffs irritated, “Especially not from that damn old man. People would call for elder abuse, from how I could beat his ass.”
He shouldn’t laugh, but Midoriya can’t help it. He smiles, staring up at his ceiling. “I knew you would say something like that.”
“Is that why you called?” Bakugou inqueries, “So, you could hear me say that.”
“..Yeah.” Midoriya nods. He brings a hand to his curls, running them through. “I needed to hear you say that.”
“You planning to go back to sleep?”
“You’ve never asked these many questions before, Kacchan.”
“That doesn’t answer my question.”
Midoriya exhales a defeated breath, laying his head back on the couch. “No. I wasn’t.”
“You fucking should.” Bakugou tsk’s. Midoriya can imagine him shaking his head in disapproval.
“If I do, the nightmares will come back.” He states weakly, and his shoulders tighten. “I-I can’t. I don’t want to see you fall again.”
“..Stay on the line.”
Midoriya doesn’t know what to expect, as he stayed waiting. A couple seconds became a few minutes, and then those minutes became at least fifteen minutes of no response.
He’s about to hang up, thinking Bakugou had to go back to combat, until he hears loud rummaging.
“You there?” Bakugou voices.
He nods. But then, Midoriya remembers that Bakugou can’t see him. “Y-Yeah. I am.” He hurriedly states.
“Good.”
There’s a lot more movement and noise sounding off on Bakugou’s end; clinking of metal, heavy footsteps, car horns, beeping of sorts.
“I put you on my bluetooth.” Bakugou mentions it easily.
“N-No! Don’t do that, Kacchan!” Midoriya frantically insists, sitting up fully in his seat.
“I need to do my fucking job, idiot.”
“Then, hang up!”
“Yeah, but you need me.”
Midoriya stills. Despite his pleas to leave, his heart soars achingly, appreciating Bakugou’s efforts towards him. It causes a surge of tears, threatening to fall. “I-I don’t want to bother you.”
“You’re exhausting, Deku.” Bakugou groans, “If you were, I would have hung up by now.”
“What are you even planning for us to do, then?”
“Fucking easy.” Bakugou huffs confidently, “Keep your phone to your ears.”
“Keep my phone?”
“So, when you fall asleep, you can still continue hearing me alive.” Bakugou states, “Hear me talk, walk, breathe. Maybe, in your shit dreams, I’ll be alive there, too.”
Midoriya smiles, his vision blurring. “I wish you were here.” He confesses.
“I’m right here.” Bakugou firmly states, his voice resounding deep in Midoriya’s fragile, weakened core. “Just don’t fucking hang up, and I’ll be here.”
And, Midoriya doesn’t. He listens quietly to Bakugou flying around his city, the booming of his explosives reaching his call. And, he hears all the conversations Bakugou has with people; his sidekicks, the bypassing citizens, his fellow fans.
Midoriya overhears Bakugou mentioning to someone that yes, he was on a call, and no, it wasn’t their business who. “It’s someone I would fucking fight for. There. Happy now?” Bakugou relents, finally.
Midoriya wants to laugh, but instead, he feels his body light and sleepy. Resting flat on the couch, he brings a pillow to his chest, and allows himself to close his eyes.
The last thing he hears from Bakugou is a small, short whisper. “Let me fight those nightmares, Deku.”
His dreams consist of Bakugou beating up All for One with ease.

So I have 2 of these that I just never responded to????? I am SO sorry! my mental health has been shit recently. buuuuut here's the story! I hope I did a good job!
~
Katsuki wakes up slowly, his eyes stinging as the light hits his pupils. As soon as it registers where he is, his mind goes to Deku.
DEKU!
“Bakugo! You’re awake! I’ll go get the nurse and-” Sero starts, but Katsuki is already standing up, pulling off the oxygen mask and yanking the IVs out of his arm. There’s no time. His mind won’t stop replaying scenes of Deku dying, bleeding out alone on the ground. He needs to see him. Now.
“Whoa, Bakugo! You should get back in bed! You’re not fully healed yet!”
Katsuki doesn’t so much as flinch when Sero grabs his arm and tries to guide him back to the hospital bed.
“Soy Sauce, if you don’t get out of my way right now, I will blast you through this wall.” Maybe it’s his tone, or maybe it’s the look Katsuki gives him, but Sero releases Katsuki without much more of an arguement.
“He’s awake!”
“Bakugo!”
“Blasty!”
“Oh, I’m so relieved!”
There’s quite the commotion when he slams the door open. His classmates were waiting outside for him to wake up. He might even be greatful if Deku weren’t the only thing on his mind.
“Yeah, yeah. I get it, okay?! I’m up! Where’s Deku?!”
The hall goes silent and Katsuki feels his stomach drop. No. NO! He’s not- He can’t be-
“He hasn’t woken up yet. He practically destroyed himself out there and-” Uraraka starts. Katsuki tunes her out, feeling air fill his lungs before he realizes he even stopped breathing in the first place.
“At the end of the hall.” Tsuyu summarizes, seeing Katsuki about to lose it. He mentally thanks her, only audibly grunting in response before he pushes past everyone and sprints down the hallway.
As he enters the room, Katsuki sees All Might sitting in the chair next to the nerd’s bed. The room is silent except for the faint beeping of the heart monitor and Deku’s labored breathing. He sounds like he’s fighting for every breath, and that’s with the oxygen mask.
It’s calm. Eerily calm.
“How long has it been?” Katsuki asks. All Might turns around sharply, somehow having not noticed that Katsuki entered the room.
“Young Bakugo! Shouldn’t you be in-”
“How. Long. Has. It. Been?” He doesn’t have time for this shit.
“Three days.” All Might finally answers. He opens his mouth to tell Katsuki to go back to bed, but the explosive blonde silences him with a glare that may even rival his mother’s. Katsuki eventually pulls over another chair, sitting on the other side of the bed from All Might, eyes scanning Deku’s face for any sign of pain or discomfort.
He looks so peaceful. Almost too peaceful. Almost like he’s-
“Young Bakugo, I need you to look at me.” All Might’s voice is suddenly very close. Looking away from Deku, Katsuki can see that the man is now standing right next to him. When did he get up?
“He’s alive, Young Bakugo. He’s going to be okay. He’s just asleep right now. Young Midoriya’s body is resting so that it may heal.” Katsuki glares at the retired pro, but its then that he realizes that he feels very weak. He hates feeling weak.. He tries to move his hands, but they shake so horribly that he decides resting them on his lap is a better decision. He can’t breathe. Katsuki stands up, hands popping.
"That little SHIT!" He's going to kill the nerd when he wakes up. He deserves it after putting them all through this much worry. If only he didn't destroy himself like he always fucking does.
He wants to throw something, break something, even blow something up. Deku needs to wake up now.
"Young Bakugo-" "Shut up, Skeletor." Katsuki snaps. He leans over Izuku’s unconscious body, seeing the nerd looking too pale.
"Deku, wake up."
"Deku."
"Wake. Up. Nerd."
Katsuki feels tears form in his eyes. he can't cry, not now. Not in front of All Might. Just as tears are about to fall, Izuku’s breathing picks up.
"Deku...?" His chest heaves and his heart monitor skyrockets. It's beating way too fast.
Then, it suddenly slows.
Katsuki knows that's not good.
"FUCK! Deku wake up, you have to wake up! This isn't fucking funny anymore Shitty Nerd!" He's shaking the green haired boy, trying anything he can think of to wake him up. Suddenly, he's shoved aside and pulled out of the room as doctors and nurses flood the room.
"DEKU!" Katsuki screams.
"Keep him with us!"
"He's not responding!"
"We're losing him!"
Everything stops. His vision swims as his breathing turns rapid. He knows he's shaking, crying even, but he doesn't care. They're losing him. They're losing Deku. His chest feels like it's caving in as he stumbles into a nearby wall, unable to keep himself balanced. His hands fly to his head, yanking his hair as he stresses over his childhood friend's condition.
"Kacchan!" Deku calls, tripping over his own two feet to get to get to the blonde as quickly as possible.
"Deku, you stupid nerd!" The elated green eyes flicker with sadness for a brief moment. Katsuki almost misses it.
"You've got to stop tripping over yourself when we become heroes!" Izuku squeales with joy.
"I won't fall, Kacchan! I'll be standing right next to you!"
As the memory fades, Katsuki hears the heart monitor flatline.
No!
"DEKU YOU FUCKING IDIOT YOU BETTER SURVIVE THIS SHIT!" He screams, tears falling rapidly.
"Clear!"
He wants to push through all of them, to see Deku before the world finally takes him.
"Clear!"
Katsuki flinches. Izuku’s heart isn't starting. They’re losing him, they're losing Deku. He can't focus, and begins to feel light-headed. He can't lose Deku. Not after he finally got him back. Not when he hasn't made up for every shitty thing he's done to him. Not when-
"We've got a pulse!"
Katsuki collapses, falling to his hands and knees as a loud sob wracks through his body. The stress is too much for his already injured body, however, so he quickly blacks out.
When he wakes up again, Izuku is gone. Not dead, but he left. He ran away. Katsuki holds the letter addressed to him tightly, debating blowing it up here and now. Whatever the nerd wrote in here... He can tell him himself. He's not going to open the letter. He won't except Izuku’s disappearance. He can't. It'll be like losing him all over again. Izuku can't do this on his own. He just can't. He wants to draw the battle away from everyone, but at what cost? Himself? Bullshit.
Bull. Shit.

Category: Friendship Fluff
Fandom: My Hero Academia
Characters: Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo
Hey, everyone! It’s my pleasure to share my story for Written in the Stars: A BKDK Tanabata zine!
Izuku held his hand flat over his brows as he stepped outside, shielding his eyes from the intensity of the sun burning in the azure sky. It was a cloudless day, so there was no solace from the bright sun rays spearing down from the heavens. However, there was a pleasant breeze to cool the hot, humid July air; it ruffled Izuku’s tousled pine-green hair and the fabric of his dark seaweed-colored yukata. He adjusted the emerald-hued sash around his waist, more to fidget than to actually fix it, and then pulled out his cell phone to check his notifications. He brightened when he saw a text from Katsuki, who had agreed to come with him to this year’s Tanabata festival.
Almost there, loser. You’d better be ready, or I’m leaving without you.
Izuku chuckled under his breath before shooting his friend a quick text to confirm that he was indeed ready and waiting for his friend to arrive, then stowed his phone back in his pocket. He slid his hands in the pockets of his yukata as he stood on the landing of his mother’s apartment complex. She had hung kuzukago on either side of the door; the white basket-like arrangements of paper strips swayed gently in the breeze, beseeching the winds for blessings of tidiness and thriftiness.
The neighbor to the right had hung kinchaku patterned with pretty floral paper; they’d fallen under hard times since the husband had been laid off from his job. Izuku whispered out a quick prayer on their behalf, wishing them improved fortunes and good luck. Their other neighbor had hung several chains of paper cranes in their windows, as their grandmother had recently fallen ill with pneumonia. Izuku had recently heard she was on the mend, and he hoped that this information was still true. She was a lovely lady who always brought Izuku’s mother homemade cookies when she visited, so Izuku hoped she would recover and be discharged from the hospital soon. Along the underside of the balcony, fukinagashi streamers swayed in the breeze with their colorful tails ruffling along the wind like Orihime’s fabled weavings.
People need wishes more than ever, Izuku thought as he leaned against the metal railing framing the walkway and looked out to the street below. Though All for One and Tomura Shigaraki had finally been defeated, the scars of their reign of carnage were still evident even months later. Across the street, they were still rebuilding the apartment complex that had been utterly destroyed in a fire; bits and pieces of the charred shell were piled in the brown grass to be collected by the garbage trucks later. Hope was still fragile in the community, so this Tanabata festival could hopefully restore faith and positivity in people.
“Oiiiii! Nerd! Stop starin’ off into space and get the fuck down here!”
Izuku glanced down to see Katsuki standing on the sidewalk. He was wearing that scowl Izuku had come to know as an odd symbol of affection, and his hands were buried into the pockets of his maroon yukata. Izuku called down to him in greeting and then took off in a trot, hopping down the steps and rounding the corner to join him on the sidewalk. Katsuki’s vermilion eyes burned in the harsh summer sun, but they were still less fierce than Izuku had known them a little over a year ago.
“Yer mom ain’t comin’?” Katsuki questioned as they set off in a leisurely walk down the sidewalk, subconsciously matching each other’s strides.
“No,” Izuku confirmed with a shake of his head. “She went the other day, so she’s spending the day making yakitori and takoyaki for dinner! If your family doesn’t have plans, Kacchan, you’re more than welcome to come by after and eat with us!”
Katsuki tilted his head to the side, an expression of consideration on his face.
“My folks somehow got roped into workin’ today, so I might take you up on that. Sure as hell beats cookin’ for myself.”
Izuku couldn’t help the happy smile that appeared on his lips; they hadn’t hung out for summer vacation very much due to their respective training regimens, so Izuku was delighted that he would not only be able to attend the last day of the festival with Katsuki but also have him over for dinner. “Wait, though, they aren’t doing the paper boat ceremony until midnight.”
“That’s right! I was thinking that we would spend the day enjoying the festival, go home for dinner, and then go back to do the paper boat ceremony. I know that’s a little past your bedtime, though, Kacchan,” he grinned teasingly and elbowed his friend in the ribs. “Will you be able to handle it?”
“Who the hell do ya think you’re talkin’ to?” Katsuki cried indignantly, jostling Izuku’s shoulder with his own. “O’course I can handle it! Damn nerd, where do ya get off thinkin’ you can insult me like that?”
Izuku laughed as Katsuki flung his muscular arm around his shoulders and jerked him against his side to grind his fist into the top of Izuku’s head. It was a good thing that his hair had always been unruly anyway, because Katsuki couldn’t muss it up too much. Izuku laughed airily when Katsuki shoved him away. The blond buried his hands back into his pockets with a snort, looking away at the large fukinagashi the city had suspended from the light poles. The large ball of yellow, orange, and white flowers hung from the streetlamps, the sunlight catching on the rustling streamers to cast playful shadows along the ground as the pieces curled and fluttered.
“Do you know what you’re going to wish for?” Katsuki asked him after several minutes of silent walking. This caught Izuku by surprise, and he turned to blink at him with wide emerald eyes. Katsuki was still staring out at the road, eyes lidded as he watched the cars trundle by.
“Actually, no,” he said and rubbed the back of his neck while he looked up at the clear blue sky. My goal is to be the number-one hero, but… for some reason, I don’t feel like wishing for that, he thought with a small frown. He’d been wrestling with it leading up to the event, and here it was the first day of the festival— he had to make a decision at some point. “I’ll figure it out when I get there!” He laughed nonchalantly and then looked back at Katsuki. “What about you?”
“I don’t know either.” Katsuki’s voice was flat, and Izuku could tell that he was thinking hard about it. I guess he wants his wish to be important… After all they had been through, Izuku could understand that. They’d endured so much together and grown up so fast. Smiling wanly, Izuku gently bumped his shoulder with Katsuki’s, prompting the blond to look at him with raised eyebrows.
“Don’t worry, Kacchan. We’ll figure it out!”
Katsuki blinked at him, then turned away with a small “tch.” However, Izuku could see that the minute tension had left his shoulders and the stoniness had eased out of his expression.
It was a short walk to the shrine where the festival was held. The street leading up to the shrine was laden with the handcrafted paper ornaments strung from the oak trees that framed the path. On either side of the cobblestone walkway, local vendors had set up their wares; the savory scent of yakisoba floated on the air, making Izuku’s mouth water though he’d just eaten breakfast not too long ago. There were vendors selling handmade ornaments, the pair of them walking past the hairpin maker who came every year, their stall a huge hit with the local girls. Izuku spotted several of them already decorating the ornate updos some of the festival goers chose to wear that night, the hair pins adding just that much more to the look. In the corner, a small troupe of stage actors were recounting the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi for an enthralled crowd.
“Wow, look at the crowd— and everyone looks so happy, too,” Izuku marveled. It seemed that the fair bit of hope the festival offered had drawn many people out of their homes, and he was relieved to see most of them wearing genuine smiles.
“Well, it’s been a shitty few months,” Katsuki shrugged. “They’re gonna latch onto anything positive that comes their way.” Izuku supposed that was true, but it still made him happy for the civilians. They’d all endured a lot— they deserved to celebrate a festival, to wish for mundane things instead of seeing tomorrow.
What did he want to wish for, though?
They walked to the end of the small street, where long fronds of bamboo framed the entrance to the shrine. Paper strips hung from their dainty branches, colored rectangles that swayed among the bright green leaves. The wishes of hundreds were imbued in those simple tanzaku— everything from pleas for academic success to wishes for love to grand hopes for world peace. Beneath the sprawling bamboo were small circular tables, where the colorful bits of paper sat beneath glass paperweights. They waited in a short line to walk up to the table; when Izuku picked up the pen and grabbed a blue strip of paper, he hesitated a moment while he debated what to write on the strip.
Out of the corners of his eyes, he could see Katsuki silently debating as well. It was strange, their mental debate. After everything they’d done, everything they’d seen, did they feel invincible? Is that why they had nothing to wish for? Or perhaps there was so much they wanted to see the world become and so much they wanted to do themselves, there were infinite possibilities to wish for now. Izuku smiled wanly and looked down at the blank rectangular strip of paper, the canvas to paint a wish of goodwill. He twirled the pen around in his hand, trying to think of what he wanted to wish for most in the world right now.
Finally, it dawned on him. He hunched down over the table to neatly scrawl on the tanzaku: A world where people’s wishes can come true.
Katsuki was still writing as Izuku stepped aside and walked to the bamboo fronds. He stood on his tiptoes to use the small loops of string to tie it on an empty bit of the plant, suspending it among hundreds of other wishes. He stepped back to admire the bit of blue fluttering among the rainbow of colors, while Katsuki passed by him to hang his wish beside his.
“What did you wish for, Kacchan?”
“Idiot,” Katsuki huffed as he turned around to walk back. “If you say it out loud, it won’t come true! I’ll tell ya after midnight, maybe.” Izuku blushed sheepishly at that; he’d quite forgotten that bit of superstition. He didn’t know if Katsuki actually believed it or was simply giving him a hard time, but it really didn’t matter.
They enjoyed the small festival for the rest of the afternoon, starting with the play, since it was starting over as they came out from the depths of the path. They sat with their legs tucked underneath them on comfy cushions (among a bunch of little kids, Katsuki was eager to grouse about) and watched the rendition of the love story. Izuku had always found it kind of sad that Orihime and Hikoboshi were only permitted to meet one day out of every year, but he also marveled that there was a love so strong that not even three hundred and sixty-four days of separation could lessen it. At the end of the play, they joined the actors in singing the traditional song— well, Izuku did. Katsuki would rather drop dead than sing, especially in front of a bunch of elementary-schoolers.
After the play, they stopped at the yakisoba stand for lunch. Izuku swirled the fried noodles around with his chopsticks to scoop bits of pork and cabbage, then spooned them into his mouth. As he slurped up the noodles, Katsuki glanced at him out of his peripheral vision.
“It’s almost strange,” he remarked. Izuku raised an eyebrow at him, and Katsuki looked down into his half-eaten yakisoba with pinkening cheeks. “Going back to normal after, you know… everything.” Izuku swallowed his noodles, looking at Katsuki with widening eyes. Though they were better friends now, he’d never grow used to these melancholic moods Katsuki drifted into. Katsuki’s red eyes were lidded while he pushed the noodles around his plate, pulsing with a serious sadness so unlike his usual explosive personality.
“Yeah,” Izuku agreed quietly. He found his own appetite waning, so he pushed the plate of noodles away and leaned his arms on the counter. “But… You can’t hang onto the past forever. At some point, you have to let the darkness fall behind you and walk toward the sun.”
“Tch. What are you, a fucking poet?” Katsuki snorted, but as always, his words were in direct contradiction to the small smile curling over his lips. Katsuki gathered up a large chunk of the yakisoba and then continued contemplatively with his mouth full, “Towards the sun, huh?”
Izuku smiled, then pulled his plate back toward him to finish it. He wouldn’t want to insult the chef that made the delicious meal, after all.
After finishing lunch, the two of them headed to Izuku’s house. They joined his mother in the kitchen to help her prepare dinner. Katsuki worked on dicing chicken breast into small cubes to skewer, while Izuku prepared the batter for the takoyaki. While they worked, his mother regaled Katsuki with stories of Tanabata festivals past— particularly her favorite tale of Izuku wishing to be like All Might every single year leading up to his acceptance at U.A. Izuku hid his bright red face in the refrigerator while pretending to look for the octopus tentacles, while Katsuki just guffawed about what a groupie he was.
The scent of frying batter and grilling chicken filled the kitchen as the sun sank lower and lower in the sky. Izuku’s mother had begun singing the song, and Izuku had taken it up as well, annoying Katsuki with their repeated trills of the tune:
“The bamboo leaves rustle, shaking away in the eaves.
The stars twinkle on the gold and silver grains of sand.
The five-color paper strips I have written.
The stars twinkle, they watch us from heaven.”
Katsuki’s lips couldn’t curl into a deeper scowl as Izuku waltzed around him, poking him in the cheek with a leftover octopus tentacle. Katsuki snatched it away and slapped him lightly across the cheek with it, leaving a slimy mark on Izuku’s skin.
“Oi! You sing that song one more goddamn time, I’m gonna fry you into a takoyaki ball!” Katsuki threatened while gesturing wildly with the floppy tentacle. Izuku and his mother just laughed, quite used to Katsuki’s angry outbursts. Katsuki nursed his irritation with a melon soda, clenching the can in one hand while flipping the chicken grilling in the skillet with the other.
It was about seven in the evening by the time the three of them gathered around the kōtatsu table with the spread of food. His mother turned on the television to watch the annual specials— which were just more dramatizations of the traditional story— while the two boys tore into the food with relish. Katsuki had always praised Inko’s cooking skills like the foodie he was, and though he’d probably never admit it aloud, he loved her takoyaki. He plucked ball after ball from the plate to pile them into his mouth until his cheeks bulged like a chipmunk’s.
“The hell you laughin’ at?” he grumbled when Izuku burst into laughter. Izuku just shook his head and used his teeth to slide a piece of the sauce-soaked, tender chicken from the skewer in his hand. He would have laughed if someone told him a year ago that he’d be sitting at the kōtatsu with Katsuki enjoying the Tanabata festival, even more so to be told they were exchanging friendly banter. The realization made a joyful smile spread over Izuku’s face, one that didn’t miss Katsuki’s attention.
“Oi. What are you thinking about?” Katsuki asked, the scowl morphing into a curious look. Izuku’s smile just widened, and he reached out to pluck up one of the takoyaki balls with his chopsticks.
“I’m just thinking about how nice this is, Kacchan. My mom doesn’t remember this, but,” he said, dropping his voice while his mother cried tearfully at the separation of Orihime and Hikoboshi playing on the screen, “A few years ago, I didn’t wish to be like All Might. I wished for us to be friends.”
Katsuki’s cheeks flushed a bright pink as he released a choking noise. He covered his blush with a broad hand, and he averted his gaze. Izuku chuckled at his shy reaction and took the opportunity to steal another takoyaki ball.
“Damn nerd,” Katsuki huffed with undeniable affection that made Izuku’s heart warm. “You can’t just say shit like that, you know. Now stop stealing my fucking takoyaki. Don’t think I didn’t notice. We may be friends, but I’ll still break your arm.”
They watched the special programs until about eleven, then set off again back to the shrine to participate in the paper boat ceremony. This time, the crowd had gathered at the nearby river, which babbled along another pathway leading to the small shrine. Dew clung to the hem of Izuku’s yukata as he walked on the edge of the cobblestone path where the grass grew. He and Katsuki retrieved their wishes from the bamboo branches, then took one of the prepared paper boats to place the wishes inside. Afterward, they set off to find a nice place to set them adrift.
They sat down on the edge of the bank to wait for the clock to strike midnight. Izuku held the fragile paper boat in his lap while he eased off his sandals so he could dip his toes in the cool water. Katsuki sat next to him, cross-legged and watching the water current swirl in the concrete canal. It was a far cry from the Heavenly River from the story, but Izuku could imagine its beauty with the way the starlight played over the babbling water.
“You know, we’re kind of like Orihime and Hikoboshi,” Izuku said after a while. Katsuki looked at him like he’d absolutely lost his mind, which made Izuku flush and hurriedly explain, “I-I just mean that at the beginning it felt like… You were on the other side of the river from me, Kacchan.” This made the blond settle down, so Izuku continued with a wan smile. “It felt like you were miles ahead, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t catch up… But little by little, I did, and now we’re on the same side of the river. I guess. Sorry. That was a weird metaphor,” he laughed nervously, playing with the edges of the paper boat.
“It was fucking weird,” Katsuki sniffed, then looked out to the water. “I get what you mean, though.” His voice was soft, a rare hint of gentleness that Izuku still couldn’t believe was sometimes directed toward him. “Just make sure you don’t fall back to the other side of the river, dumbass,” Katsuki said after a second, elbowing him gently in the arm.
“Hehe, I won’t,” Izuku chuckled and elbowed him back.
Then, fireworks lit up the moonlit sky, indicating that it had turned twelve. Izuku and Katsuki crawled to the bank to gently push the paper boats into the water. They watched them drift along the current, joined by hundreds of other little sailboats. Then, Izuku jumped to his feet while tugging eagerly on Katsuki’s arm.
“Come on!”
He ignored Katsuki’s confused sputters of protest as he dragged him up the bank to the walkway overlooking the river, which was lined by red railings. Izuku gripped the railing, searching for their two boats drifting alongside one another, and then pointed them out with a smile. The moon bathed them in a white glow, making them almost luminescent in the brilliant light. The light also played over the water to make it seem like they drifted on rivers of glittering diamond.
“Hey… What did you wish for?” Katsuki asked him suddenly, and Izuku turned to look at him with a soft smile.
“A world where people’s wishes could come true.”
Katsuki raised his eyebrows. Under the pale moonlight, the pink hue that rose to his cheeks was rosy pale. Katsuki bit down on his bottom lip, but that didn’t suppress the little chuckles that bubbled out of his throat.
“Me too.”
Izuku’s smile brightened, and then he turned to look out at the water. It was full of paper boats now, all glowing in the white light streaming down from the cloudless sky. He felt Katsuki nudge him, because of course he couldn’t let the moment pass without another jab.
“What a waste though, ‘cuz it’s my wish that’s gonna come true, nerd,” he teased. Izuku had to laugh and shake his head. Only Katsuki could make even traditional wishes during Tanabata into a competition. He supposed it didn’t matter though, if only one of their wishes were granted or both— either way, it meant happiness and peace for those who needed it most. That’s all Izuku could ever want. He watched those boats drift down the heavenly river, where hopefully the gods would pluck them up on the distant shore. They would read those wishes, and fulfill their hopes.

BNHA 284 - Thoughts
Yay!!! I’m normally not really for flashbacks explaining things that should have been set up properly, but ok, I’ll take the change of pace.
I didn’t know that I needed a Catch-a-Kacchan in my life, but I did, I do, and life is just so much better that I know it’s a thing that exists, a thing they did.
Tumblr media
So there is a lot to unpack, because Bakugou, the Serene (it’s my favourite Bakugou - far superior to Bakugou, the Cross) gets another large dose of character development - or rather he gets to show off in plain sight all that growth that many of us already extrapolated from his actions and I’m all for it.
1. He friggin’ questions All Might, because he’s hiding stuff and Bakugou will hold him accountable - and damn, boy, somebody really should and I’m so glad that you have Deku’s back. Because like you say, Deku is too trusting to do this questioning, even if he notices things (we all know he notices things)
Tumblr media
2. His unease gets identified as worry. Bakugou worries about Deku. He knows it, All Might knows it, we know it. Your tsundere act ain’t working anymore, Kacchan.
Tumblr media
3.  He realizes how Deku’s selflessness made him uneasy even when they were kids, how it made him feel less then and how he was bullying Deku to push him away. It’s not an excuse, but finally he’s self-aware enough to acknowledge that. (And the entire BKDK corner of the fandom goes SQUEEEE, we knew that)
Tumblr media
4.  He’s helping Deku’s training because he wants him to get stronger and also because it’s part of his personal atonement and I want to cry. Like look at his face - it’s so open. He doesn’t even bother denying it. Bakugou is about actions and I think that’s perfectly in character for him to choose this way of setting things right. And bless All Might validating this rather than his guilt.
Tumblr media
So when All Might points out how Bakugou’s change is similar to Endeavor’s, on the one hand, I want to yell, because, hell, did you know, what was going on All Might and decided to do nothing? Or is this just a general remark about Endeavor being power-obsessed and realizing that it’s not about him? That it’s about the world? And when All Might says, he’s not in the position to say much - does he mean he takes some responsibility in how things went down between him and Endeavor? Or that he doesn’t feel entitled to interfere with Bakugou’s and Deku’s relationship. This part is a bit confusing, tbh.
Tumblr media
Anyways, I feel like this chapter is trying to get us think that Endeavor will try to get OFA for himself. I somehow have a hard time seeing him really do that, but I do understand All Might worrying about the secret getting out and the Hero Commission trying to use Deku as a weapon or force him to give up OFA to someone else. Maybe No. 4 was a villain or maybe he was a hero who wanted to take it for the Greater Good or maybe it was taken from him (by his best friend? closest ally?). Either way, it’s not a happy story and something with devastating implications for Izuku.
Tumblr media
Oh, btw, training with Uraraka, Sero and Froppy is kind of bittersweet, because OMG, so cute, but it also feels like this is the last bit of relevance we are going to get out of my sass-boy Sero (thanks for the dick joke there) , because obviously Hori thinks blackwhips are more fun to draw than tapes. I guess Ochako still has the edge of being able to float other things than herself - though Float combined with BW clearly does the job. Burnt Broccoli Deku is an interesting look though.
Tumblr media
Moving on - something dodgy is going on with the 4th user (is he a villain?, is the power self-destructive?, or maybe destructive of others?), and now Deku’s over-wrought rage-mode makes more sense.  It’s not only his emotions that are in play, but also that of the vestiges, as he’s spinning out of control, not taking into account at all his own personal safety.
Back in the present, Deku has landed everyone safely (thank goodness - I couldn’t have taken seriously them hanging on) and has a bit of control issues (which makes sense even with the extra training, because duh).
Shouto is in charge of the injured (is he gonna cauterize Gran Torino and Aizawa????), while Endeavor feels extremely pathetic (haha - that’s a Deku specialty. Don’t worry Enji, he made All Might feel pathetic too, back when he didn’t even have a quirk)
Tumblr media
I think Endeavor and Bakugou are launching into a combo move to finish off Shigaraki and pull out Deku, who is probably quite literally shattered from abusing his quirk, but I wonder if this heightened sense of danger will also unlock No. 4.’s unknown power (which I have no doubt will be a deadly one, considering the Japanese implications of the number 4).
Tumblr media
I have almost zero doubt at this point that Bakugou will be saving Deku’s ass here big time - maybe even against his will / or the will of OFA, maybe tanking whatever No. 4.th hidden quirk is.  It’s hard to tell who is in the driving seat as Deku goes for the kill-shot disregarding his own life and health.
Tumblr media
Hmmm - what’s with Uraraka’s Nana hairdo?
Oh, yeah, Uraraka accusing Bakugou of being a jerk for doing exactly as Deku asked him to do makes me lowkey sad.
Tumblr media
Also, thank you Sero for pointing out that Aizawa sensei should fucking know about this OFA-secret, because he’s Deku’s homeroom teacher and a pro at whipping and there is zero narrative reasons not not tell him

Endeavor vs Dabi..... 2!!! TodorokiTouyaSayWhat
Honesty?? the hero commission and UA agreeing to send a bunch of trainees off to an isolated area with no support at all from pros?? total BS lol like I get it the movie needs its set-up but goddamn there’s no way anyone actually would’ve thought that was a good idea in-universe
Another complaint: there was too much M*neta, that’s all

ALSO ICONIC: Midoriya basically fucking tackling him to stop him from getting into it with Mahoro, the cain instinct everybody
Nine has a hella cool design and like I CANNOT be the only one who thinks he looks at bit like the first OFA user AND Nana Shimura, ESPECIALLY with his hair down
He looked cool but he’s a fuckin stupid villian, ‘I want a world where the strong rule over the weak’ bitch what world do you think you’re living in now???

Aoyama was also hella plus ultra, king has an incompatible quirk that gives him severe stomach pain but he still pushed himself so far past his limits
Momo, on the verge of collapse, quirk exhausted: Hey everyone I made two whole goddamn canons
Seriously where’s that post about how Momo loves canons despite their impracticality, this is getting ridiculous
Using Kaminari as a freaking lightning rod,, jfc
Everyone in the cinema lost their SHIT at Bakugou and Midoriya reaching for each other,, Midoriya saying ‘It’s fine if it’s you’ I was C R Y I N G
Bakugou kicked Midoriya out of the way of one of Nine’s blasts, he could’ve grabbed him or yelled at him to dodge but no, he decided on  kicking him out of the way
The cain instinct strikes again
Seeing all of the OFA predecessors animated?? seeing Midoriya in that grey-scale with the orange flame just like All Might at Kamino?? YALL ;-;
‘This is... the final Smash. Goodbye One For All. Thank you’
Bakugou finally fucking got to say ‘detroit smash’. god bless
Nine literally summoning A Whole Fucking Tornado TM only for Midoriya and Bakugou to punch said Whole Fucking Tornado TM into submission, I can’t
I thought Deku was gonna use Black Whip in this movie??? I really guess they were trying to avoid as many manga spoilers as possible
Might+U during the final confrontation with Nine,,,, good fuckin use of the song
Actually, the whole soundtrack was brilliant, Hayashi Yuki is a fucking genius
All Might holding Bakugou and Midoriya’s hands, thanking OFA’s predecessors, aaaaaAAAAAAAAA

SPEAKING OF THAT ^ Bakugou being the one to save Mahoro whilst Deku goes in for the attack on Nine?? character growth babey
The callbacks to Kamino,, ‘You’re Next’,, the United States of Smash,, All Might is the best don’t @ me
Bakugou not keeping OFA and not even remembering he had it was a total asspull but I’m willing to write it off as ‘Oh well the movies are only semi-canon anyways also Plot Armour’
Bakugou calling Sero by his name,, Bakugou letting Kaminari live after calling him ‘Bakugou no Kacchan-kun’,,, the team up to take down Mummy, ‘Kirishima is the only person Bakugou’s actually friends with’ WHERE??
Deku telling Katsuma ‘you can become a hero’! we’ve come full circle and it made me fucking CRY
Also,, the way Katsuma wants to be strong hero who can beat up any villain??? and the way Mahoro is a protective person who was literally willing to give up her life for her baby brother??? ‘win to save and save to win’??? the fuckin PARALLELS ya’ll
Bakugou and Midoriya are brothers don’t @ me I know I’m fucking right
I didn’t entirely understand what Katsuma’s quirk actually IS??? ‘cell activation’ means fuck all lmao
Todoroki’s FACE when Endeavour was hugging him, like literaly boi had almost frozen himself solid but he still somehow managed to look more disgruntled dealing with his dad
IIDA REALLY GOT TO STEP UP!! he and Momo taking charge and delegating tasks?? Iida going in BY HIMSELF to distract Chimera? Iida using Torque Over??? IM SO PROUD :’)
Speaking of Chimera what the fuck even is his quirk? at first I just thought he had a mutant-type quirk then I was like ‘oh cool it’s actually a transformation-type’ then he started shooting his fucking mouTH BEAM and like isn’t that an emitter??? how the hell can he do all that with Just One Quirk
Nine: ‘There can only be... one leader’
Shigaraki, disintegrating him: ‘Yeah and it’s me bitch’
the future king has arrived,,,
In conclusion: platonic bkdk rights, dadmight is canon, I would die for Mahoro & Katsuma, go beyond plus ultra!

God I love ur writing style so I trust ur taste: any fic recs? (doesn’t have to be BKDK, but u know
OOOOOOOOOOOOO OKAY! HERE WE GO!
Before I start, I want you to know that I tried to tag all the big bad warnings, but PLEASE CHECK TAGS on the fic itself before reading in case I’ve missed anything! Now, my favorite bkdk fics vary a lot. There are, of course, the ones a lot of people know:
Before Midnight by @driftingglass~[Explicit] (28/28) (211K words)
Warnings: -Graphic Depiction of Violence, Underage-
https://archiveofourown.org/works/11353440/chapters/25410591
Izuku Midoriya takes the same train to and from school Monday through Friday, morning and night. His only company during these lonesome hours comes in the form of another boy his age—a teen with scarred hands and blood gem eyes, a stranger with ash-blond hair who walks in a shroud of danger and mystery. "Would you stop with that fucking muttering, idiot?"And before Izuku can find his footing, his life becomes a full-blown collision course thanks to walking cannonball Katsuki Bakugou. (And along the way he may have found the missing fuel to his fire).
Bluebird by EtherealBing ~ [Explicit] (7/7) (53K words)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/11353440/chapters/25410591
Dialing a wrong number was no unusual occurrence. Everyone did it once in a while, and Katsuki was well aware of that fact. However, possessing this knowledge made it no less aggravating for him to discover — a full two minutes into his rant about his day — that he’d been venting his frustrations to a complete stranger. As if that wasn't enough, said stranger was also inexplicably determined to hear his story to its end.
Don’t Set Your Drink Down by @crandberrycrush ~ [Explicit] (21/21) (88K words)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/13868400/chapters/31903419
With sudden clarity Izuku realized he had broken the first rule of going out. Never leave your drink unattended.
And then there are the lesser known, but insanely good ones I LOVE:

It ends up being a living nightmare, but Katsuki can't bring himself to regret following Izuku into it all. Even if everything else is fake, they know that they will always be real.
Two Guys and Lots of Fries by hottamale ~ [Explicit] (1/1) (3K words)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/17421971
“Ten Guys! I wanna go to Ten Guys; they have the best french fries,” he smiled while looking at Katsuki expectantly.Katsuki frowned. “We just passed it though.”“So turn around.”“And waste my gas? Shits expensive Deku.”Izuku breathed in, held his breath for a moment, and let it back out. He put a hand on Katsuki’s bicep and blinked up at him, bottom lip jutting out into a pout. “Please? I’ll make it up to you.”
And the classics like:
Indestructible (Emotionally Speaking, That Is) by iknewaman ~ [Explicit] (1/1) (8.8K words)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/13314555
“Alright, buddy,” Katsuki says, swatting at the weeping guy with the broom. “Time to clear out.”--AU where Bakugou works at the cinema and Izuku is the cinema-goer who keeps coming in to cry at sad movies
~And then there are the non-BNHA fics I ADORE~
First, for Mob Psycho:
Butterfly Effect by Frecklefrog ~ [Teen] (17/17) (69K Words)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/11613168/chapters/26108970

Only-Only he can’t exorcise the spirit, because there isn’t one, and the boy is staring at him with wide blue eyes. His hand is glowing the same yellow as the basket.(in which Teruki meets Mob much, much earlier.)
Then there’s Drarry:

When he comes across Draco Malfoy in the criminal underbelly of Wizarding London and in need of protection, Harry figures bringing him in to face the Ministry's justice is his ticket back to everything he's lost. Wrightvale, Georgia - Sergeant Marco Bodt receives a call about a noise complaint in his own apartment building while on duty. Surprisingly, the call was for the new neighbor that moved in the night before. The door opens to a very intoxicated Jean Kirschtein who mistakes the good officer for the male stripper his friends had hired for his welcome party. Hilarious antics ensue in a tale about how two broken people learn to put the pieces together with one another after life has dealt them a rather unfortunate hand of cards that may or may not come back to haunt."Qui craint de souffrir, il souffre déjà de ce qu’il craint." ~ "He who fears suffering is already suffering that which he fears." This fic was created for the MIDORIYA IZUKU: TROUBLE AT ANY AGE (BKDK Birthday Exchange 2020) as a gift to @kacchansass 7/15/20
As Katsuki stands, leaning against the doorframe, he simply watches his boyfriend staring forward mindlessly while drinking his morning coffee.  He frowns, their adult years hadn’t been kind to Izuku, and it broke him to see how far the man had fallen.  Sure, they were both at the top ranks as far as hero work was concerned, but that’s where it ended.  For 20 years their only acknowledgments had been in passing on the job, and when he thought about those moments, it brought a sinking feeling in his soul.
He blamed himself for Izuku’s fall.  Gone was the eternal optimist with a smile that could blind any in its wake.  The happy, bubbly man he’d grown up with, who’d weathered so much… had simply hit his breaking point.
But he didn’t know!
Sure, they’d had a rather nasty fight after graduation, but he genuinely thought Izuku happily moved on, getting married to gravity girl, and moving up the ranks like they’d dreamed of.  If anything, he thought he was the one who’d failed miserably.  Relationships never worked out in his favor, and eventually they were just sexual partners that satiated his libido…. But never his heart.
No.  No one could fill that void except the one person he was too afraid to admit held his heart in their hands.  Gah!  He’d been such an idiot in his youth!  Katsuki didn’t believe in such things as soulmates, but there was no question about it that Izuku was his, and always had been.  The one person who knew him, saw through him at every step of their lives… and he threw it all away with that fight.  Hell, he couldn’t even remember what it was about, such a stupid thing.  But it had broken the proverbial camel’s back.
He squeezes his eyes shut for a second as Izuku’s words haunt him.  ‘I’m done Katsuki!’  The use of his surname instead of his nickname was like a dagger driven straight through his chest.  The 20-year-old knew immediately he’d screwed up big time, but his pride wouldn’t let him admit it, rather screaming good riddance, that he’d never wanted to be friends in the first place….
Till about 5 years ago when he’d learned of Izuku’s failed marriage.  That’s when he’d decided to make the plunge and reach out to his old friend.  Time and age had mellowed him or maybe beat him into toning down his anger issues.  His friend needed him, and for the first time, Katsuki gathered the strength to do something about it.  He’d braced himself to be turned away, who could blame the man if he did, but instead, Izuku let him back into his life.
“Good morning babe,” Katsuki kisses Izuku on the top of his head.  “You’re up early for a day off.”
“Good morning Kacchan.”  He smiles with tired eyes, “it’s just a habit now.  Strange the agency told me to take a day off today.”
The blonde chuckles, “I still remember when you hated mornings.”
Izuku’s eyes widen slightly, “you remember that?”
Katsuki sets his own cup of coffee down and sits across from his boyfriend.  He takes the man’s hand in his own, rubbing his thumb against the webbing, “I remember a lot of things.”
That brings a slight flush to Izuku’s cheeks.  “What about you, you’re off today too?”
“Yeah,” Katsuki nods.  “I have a confession to make, I was the one who told the agency to give us the day off.”
His head tilts in confusion. “But why?”
“Get dressed casual, and you’ll see.”
For the first leg of the journey they travel by commuter train.  At first Izuku has no idea where they are going, but eventually the scenery grows familiar.  He questions Katsuki who merely smiles and says it’s a surprise.  Oh, that only makes the man more anxious.  What had gotten into his boyfriend today for all this rouse to be necessary?  The whole getting them out of work and now travelling to an unknown destination was out of character.  What was the blonde up to?
They exit the station and it’s evident that they’ve returned to their childhood neighborhood. “Are we visiting our parents?”
Katsuki shakes his head and points towards the nearby river where they would often play in their elementary days.  The area had changed some in the last 37 years, the brush looked a bit denser, and the trees taller than he remembered them.  Izuku looks up at his boyfriend confused, knowing it was a place that held a not so fond memory for the man.
But without another word, the blonde kisses their conjoined hands and starts to pull them in that direction.  He searches for the now hidden path, and after a few moments finds it.  They walk along the dirt, pushing aside brush that falls in their way until they reach the riverbed below.  Did the area shrink?  Izuku muses.  Guess it looks different when you’re a child.
“Do you remember this place?” Katsuki questions quietly.
“Yeah,” Izuku frowns, “but why are we here.” He’d spent the better part of his adult life trying unsuccessfully to stop thinking about the old days.
“That day in the river when I’d fallen…” the blonde looks up and away as if reliving the point in time.  “The day I got so angry at you for making me feel weak.  It was after that moment that I'd started to really treat you like shit and pushed you away.”
Izuku looks down.  Of course, he remembered everything.  All he’d wanted to do was help his friend. Because that’s what friends do and he thought that’s what they were... friends, at least before the quirk came in.  But even after Katsuki slapped his hand away, he still continued to try.  It wasn’t just because he believed in being a hero, but because Katsuki meant something to him.  He frowns, “Why do you bring this up again?”
“Because,” Katsuki pulls the man into a hug, cradling his face against his chest.  “No matter that I’ve apologized or that you’ve forgiven me…. I haven’t forgiven myself yet because I know this still hurts you,” he lifts Izuku’s chin to look into his eyes, “and it kills me that I could have prevented all the pain later on.”
“Kacchan, not this again,” he sighs.  How many times did they have to have this discussion?  All he wanted to do was think about the present and future.  Katsuki had made great strides in making up for the past and he just wanted the man to realize he’d forgiven him for it all.  They didn’t need to keep stirring it back up again.  “You’re not at fault for what happened after our fight.”
“Yes, I am.” He disregards Izuku’s words because despite being told differently, it didn’t feel like it was no longer an issue.  Katsuki sensed that Izuku was just trying to bury it away which wasn’t the right answer.  “I accept it, and all I can do is continue to make up for it.”  He places a kiss on Izuku's lips.  “Come on, there’s still a few more stops to make and the next one isn’t far.”
They walk to the next location which is near their old middle school campus.  Izuku’s confusion continues, it was just another street, one they would often use to get home after school.  Seeing the look on his boyfriends face, Katsuki chuckles and squeezes their conjoined hands, “this one stumps you?  I’m surprised considering it led to your biggest turning point as a hero.”  Katsuki stops them in front of an alleyway.  “Think about it nerd.  I know that brain of yours will remember.”
But just looking at the non-descript side road wasn’t immediately triggering any memories.  Izuku stares ahead, flipping through mental images in his mind of middle school.  His brows furrowed in concentration.  It does seem familiar somehow….  Turning point as a hero….  After several silent minutes.  “The sludge villain…” his voice wisps out.
“Aye, the bravery that caught All Might’s attention and solidified my anger towards you.”  He sighs, “At first I was just angry because you were trying to help me again.  Then the hate kicked in when I found out All Might took you under his wing.”  Katsuki hangs his head, “Gah!  I was so jealous of you!  All my life working so hard to be like him and then here you come along with a similar power of that man out of thin air.  I waspissed trying to figure it out.  I even thought you’d been hiding your quirk from me all along, which made me even angrier….  At least that's what I told myself for years.”
“What do you mean?”
“I was jealous true, but I now realize I was angry because you may have been hiding it from me.  I treated you horribly and yet felt betrayed that would keep a quirk from me.  Deep down I also wanted you as my friend, maybe needed you as a friend but refused to admit it.  All those years of deluding myself…”
“But I do feel bad about that!  As soon as All Might made the offer, my first thoughts were I want to tell Kacchan, but he made me swear never to tell anyone.  All I ever really wanted was your approval and I thought if I finally had a quirk you would treat me better.” Izuku frowns, “but instead when you found out, you lashed out even more.”
Ouch.  A pang of spiritual pain shoots through Katsuki’s heart at the confession.  He knew it was true, but to be said aloud hurt.
“Even then I convinced myself, it wasn’t about the quirk.  Maybe I just needed to prove to you that I was worthy of your attention, so it drove me harder to train.”
Katsuki’s eyes squeeze shut as the tears threaten to make an entrance.  “Which made me look at you even more as a rival.”  He pauses, then lets out an exhale.  “I was too blind to see that you were never a rival.”
“Kacchan, please don’t be too hard on yourself.  It hurt, yes, but you helped me by pushing me to do better.  You’re the reason I got stronger.”  He almost wanted to snap about having such an emotional conversation in the middle of a public sidewalk.  They could have discussed all of this at home, what reason is it to go to the sites themselves if not to make the emotional toil more difficult.
“But I shouldn’t have bullied you into it….”
Katsuki really seemed to want to drive these points home for him and frankly as much as he loved his boyfriend, he just wanted to move on.  But he knew getting angry wouldn’t help and so he bites back the frustration and lets out a long exhale to calm his adrenaline spike. “We can’t change the past.  We can only move forward.”
“I know, I know,” Katsuki sighs again, “and I’m trying.”
“I know you are…” Izuku pulls Katsuki’s face down to place a kiss.  “That’s all I ask for.”
“I really love you Deku.”
Izuku smiles, “I love you too, Kacchan.”
Katsuki looks at his watch.  “Oh! We need to get back to the train station.”
“Why?”
“Next is Nagano.”
Based on the trend of places they were visiting, there was only one reason Izuku could think of in Nagano, and that was the Beast’s Forest.  It was one of the worst moments in his life when he’d watched Katsuki being kidnapped and he was powerless to stop it.  ‘Because I’d been too weak…’ he groans in his head and leans back against the bench in the train.  He didn’t want Katsuki to see the turmoil brewing inside of him at revisiting this place, so he does his best to pretend to just look out the window.
Seeing any of his friends hurt angered him, but when Katsuki disappeared into Mr. Compress’ marble, a part of him went with it.  They were like two sides of a coin and there just couldn’t be one without the other.  In fact, after their final fight, that’s why he just wasn’t the same Izuku anymore.  His partner was gone, and he was left alone… again.  Bless her heart but Uraraka tried her best to fill the void despite never knowing that’s what she was doing.  He cared about her and did his best to try and be a good husband, but it just wasn’t the same… it wasn’t love.
“We’re here.”
Izuku turns to look at Katsuki, then to the automated sign above the train doors.  Was he planning on taking them all the way into the forest, because that was still a distance away from the station?  It was already lunch time, but he followed along without questioning anything.  His boyfriend clearly had a plan of what he wanted to show him, and he knew none of this was easy on the man, so the least he could do was go along with it.  It surprises him when they end up at a café at the edge of town.
“Lunch,” the blonde answers as if reading his boyfriend's mind.
Oh good, because he was starving!  While Katsuki talks to the server to be seated, Izuku just takes in the area trying to put the negative thoughts aside.  It was a beautiful spot with an open-air patio.  For a sunny day like today, coupled with the light breeze funneling through, it was a pleasant place to be.  The server seats them near the railing where they would have the best view.  So, that’s what Katsuki was asking for.
Not only was the scenery nice, but the food at the café was delicious.  A spicy karaage chicken for Katsuki and a gyudon beef dish for Izuku.  They had apple manju for dessert, a local specialty according to the server and fresh matcha iced tea.  Just two guys in love on a date, it was wonderful.
“Do you recognize it?” Katsuki glances out over the landscape surrounding the town.  “It’s the edge of the Beast forest.”
“Oh…” there went the mood.
“I’m guessing you realize why I brought you here?”
“Yeah,” and he really didn’t want to go into it.
The blonde shifts from sitting across from his boyfriend to the chair next to the man and takes his hand.  “Did you ever wonder why I told you to stay back that day?”  Izuku shakes his hung head.  “You were already so banged up that when I saw you, it stopped my heart.  I couldn’t process those feelings, but it came out on instinct.  The league was there because of me.  Everyone, you, got hurt and the last thing I needed was any more pain inflicted on you because of me.”
Izuku continues to shake his head, “no, you're wrong!” he grits his teeth in a losing battle to hold back his anger.  “It wasn’t your fault!  None of that was your fault.  My injuries were because I couldn’t control my damn quirk back then.  If I’d been able to, the league wouldn’t have kidnapped you.  It’s my fault you got kidnapped, mine!”
Katsuki pulls his boyfriend into a bear hug.  “Stop it.  Idiot don’t take my failure onto yourself.  You always tried to protect me, but I’m the dumbass that never listened.  I resisted you time after time no matter how hard you tried, so that’s all on me.”
The smaller man goes silent for a time, processing everything being told to him, just allowing his boyfriend to hold him tight.  “You really meant…” he sniffles, “you did it to protect me?”
“I didn’t understand love back then, not even friendship.  I didn’t know that the weird feelings you would give me had a different meaning.  Now I do.” He runs his fingers through Izuku’s hair, soothing the man.  “My instincts to protect you always came from my heart Deku, even if I never showed it that way.”
Izuku hugs back, burying his face deeper into the taller man’s chest.  He’d always thought that the times Katsuki actually worked with him against a villain was purely for the sake of winning.  Even during the Nabu incident when they’d shared One for All, he didn’t think it was because he cared about him, just simply to beat the bad guy.  But now, after hearing all of this, maybe that had been the case after all.  “Thank you for telling me this, it makes me feel a lot better.”
“I’m sorry for bringing this all up,” Katsuki continues to soothe the man.  “And I know you keep saying you just want to move on, but I realized you needed to process your feelings once and for all to truly do so. Crazy, right, that I’m the one saying that?” He chuckles.  Izuku chuckles too.  “I’m gonna bring back your real smile Deku not this fake shit,” he lifts Izuku’s chin, “that’s a promise.  This is almost over, just one last stop and you’ll see it was all for a purpose.”
Izuku truly hoped so.  Katsuki may be right that he’s never let himself just process everything with a good crying session.  Ironic for the guy who would cry often while they were growing up.  But life had hardened him….  Guess that’s why his boyfriend was doing this now and he appreciated it.  It was nice to have that light bulb moment and know truly how much he was loved by Katsuki, that he would put himself back into these memories to help him heal.
By the time they arrived back in Shizuoka two hours later, Izuku was feeling a lot better.  “UA High School?” he questions.  It was a place they knew so well, with both good and bad memories.  Izuku even did a few stints as a guest teacher over the years, working with the up and coming students to foster the next generations of heroes.  It was a mission his younger self would have been happy to accomplish, but the fake smiles he’d have to sport always made him feel like a phony.
“Yup, it’s our last stop.”  It was mid-afternoon, but classes were still in session and the guards let them through without a problem.  As they walked through the campus, Izuku wondered what they were doing there?  Since it had barely changed in the last 20 years, it didn’t take him long to notice they were heading towards one of the training areas called Ground Beta.  Well, there was the answer.  The two men had fought twice here, once during training, and the second time when Katsuki had confronted him about One for All.
“You’re not looking for another match, are you?” Izuku jokingly teases his boyfriend.  “I’d rather not get detention again.”
Katsuki laughs, “stupid, of course not.  Bet I could still kick your ass though.”
“Maybe… or maybe not,” Izuku chuckles.  “But I’m always up for a sparring match, you know, out here, or in bed.”
“So, we can break the bed again?”  Katsuki wiggles his eyebrows.  “Cause that was fun.”
Damn it!  He could never win when it came to worded jabs.  Izuku’s ears burn and he feels the flush of his body at the memories of that night.  They’d both been tipsy to high heaven and lost control.  The repair bills for the singed walls and broken furniture were worth it though…
“Hah!  You’re thinking about it!”
“Shut up,” Izuku turns away in embarrassment and changes the subject, “so what are we here for?”
“Twenty-five years ago, today we fought here the night I learned the truth about your quirk.”
“Wow, you remember the date?!”
He chuckles, “I had to do some digging and calculate it.”  But then Katsuki’s expression changes. “Do you remember what All Might tried to tell us after that fight?”
Izuku shakes his head no.  Surprisingly he could remember a lot, but the moments after the fight he mainly remembers the pain Katsuki was in.  The blonde blamed himself for what happened to All Might and the symbol of peace assured him that wasn’t true.  He’d been surprised to see the blonde completely break down in tears, seeing it as such a rare event.
“We each had what the other needed.  I thought the old man was crazy, but he was right.  We’re so different and yet every time we worked together; we were so much more capable than when apart.  I should have realized then that I needed you, and you needed me… well maybe more of I needed you.”
“That’s not true…” Izuku quietly interjects.  “We both needed each other, and you’re not the only one at fault for not realizing it sooner.  I’m just as guilty.”
Katsuki places his hands on his boyfriend's shoulders.  “No, I’m the only one to blame for wasting the last 20 years of our lives.  If I hadn’t been such a stubborn idiot, you would still have the bright smile you once wore, not this pained one.”
“Kacchan, stop saying that you…”
He cuts him off.  “Let me finish, please.”  Izuku closes his mouth and Katsuki resumes.  “Did you know I hid in the back at your wedding to make sure you didn’t see me?  After our blowup, I refused to admit I’d been wrong, but deep down I knew it, and out of guilt I showed up to make sure you’d moved on and were happy.  When I saw you and bubble cheeks, I honestly thought you were cause you still smiled… not knowing you were just hiding the pain the whole time.”
As the memories flood back, Katsuki’s knees waver.  So many longing gazes and the sadness hidden behind a smile that didn’t shine like in their youth.  Izuku would sometimes wave and like a fool he’d turn his cheek to it.  He crouches down, sitting on his haunches, and holding his face in his hands.  “I should have seen it!  All the times we’d cross paths and you were still trying...  Ugh. I was such an idiot for not paying attention.”  He reaches up and takes Izuku’s hand, as one knee drops to the ground for balance.  “All that time you were waiting for me and I just didn’t see it.”
“Kacchan…”
“Marry me, Izuku!”  He pulls out a ring from his pocket and holds it up.  “Marry me, so I can spend the rest of our lives making up for it.”
Izuku’s eyes mist over as the corners crinkle into a wide-brimmed smile, “Seriously?  Of course, yes!” He drops to his knees as Katsuki slides the ring onto his finger.  Tears trickle down his cheeks, “You make me so happy Kacchan.”
“Now there’s that smile I’ve been waiting for,” the blonde smiles and caresses Izuku’s cheek wiping away the freshly falling tears.  He sweeps in for a kiss.  “I’m gonna do everything I can to keep it there.”
Izuku returns the kiss, then sighs sweetly as their lips part.  “I know it’ll only get better now that I have my partner back.”
“Life partners,” Katsuki chuckles and sweeps his fiancé up into his arms, “you are gonna take my last name, right?”

bkdk k-pop (BTS) AU: Chapter 2- Half A Spot
It was choreography lessons starting today, and Bakugou was pumped. He was going to kill this session- AND trump any move that that Midoriya fellow had up his sleeve. Izuku Midoriya- maybe he was talented and kind of a genius- or maybe he just got lucky that day at auditions. If they were both competing for the same spot- there’s no way someone like him could win this.
Katsuki followed his green head across the room as he bowed and smiled at everybody. Does he really think he can gain brownie points by just smiling with his stupid freckles and his pretty face. Like hell. Skill and a powerful aura like his own will definitely take precedence. He can wipe the floor with everyone else in this group.
Izuku.. even the kanji was all wrong- it looked more like a De-ku to him, worthless- just a smiling face. However, through the morning, Deku had kept pace with him, he got his positions right, he wasn’t one step behind or one step ahead of the choreographer. Katsuki wasn’t going to stoop down to that level of considering sabotage to secure his spot- but it looked like the rest of the room was ready to do it. It was lunch time now, and Deku was walking towards him, towel over his neck. Sweaty bastard, coming over to play nice with his rival- the balls on this guy. But Bakugou wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction. He would stay stoic, and practically stone faced- no matter how nice he was. “Kacchan right? I saw you dance today for the first time- you’re amazing?? I can’t believe I get to dance with you- it’s great to be able to keep pace with you so far!”, he smiled up at him meekly. It was clear the man meant well, and it was a genuine compliment. Izuku was in fact blown away by the guy. He could see now why the company wanted him, even if he had a temper. He’d be an asset- his stamina, his will power and how he bursts with energy at every jump- Katsuki Bakugou was a force to be reckoned with. “Ka-WHAT??” There goes his plan to stay stone faced. “What the hell did you call me??”, his face went redder by the second. His competition, a grown ass man had just dared to call him ‘chan’, in front of 20 other people, no less. “Oh uhh- Kacchan.. like Katsuki-chan”, Izuku blanched a little seeing his face. “YEAH I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME- I’M BAKUGOU SAN TO YOU GOT IT??” He was raging, and he wasn’t entirely sure why. If anybody else had said it, they’d have gotten the cold shoulder and a silent death stare. This man, however, was crossing the line and he deserved an earful for it. Bakugou was redder than a tomato as he sputtered and yelled in his face while the producers and choreographers watched. Deku shrunk visibly, “Right right- Bakuou san! I’m s-sorry- I didn’t mean to upset you- just calm down will you? You look like you’re about to get a heart attack- Don’t get me wrong, you look very young but there’s new statistics coming out every day about younger people getting heart attacks- a-and that’s the last thing I want for you Kach-BAKUGOU SAN”
Katsuki stopped, his mouth wide open. The red on his face didn’t seem to be going away. Piece of shit was concerned for his heart now?? That’s when he noticed the mess he’d caused- everyone was watching the scene, pitying Deku and villainizing him instead no doubt. With a heavy sigh and a hand raised to his forehead, he took a few deep breaths before nodding indignantly. After waiting a bit for the rest to return to their lunches, he turned to the greenet, having cornered him into the wall. Bending down a little to put his face very close to his, something he hadn’t pulled on anyone till his rowdier days in high school, he whispered harshly, “Just- stay out of my damn way- and don’t you dare patronize me- I know your game, and I’m winning this- DEKU-“ His red pupils glinted at him menacingly. He wasn’t here to make friends. Izuku looked up at him, a little terrified at his behaviour. He blinked at him, confused at this response to his friendliness. Guess Kacchan really- really didn’t like him. They were competing for the same spot, but none of his words had been patronizing- he’d meant every one. Could he perhaps, explain that to the explosive blond male bending over him like he’d break his legs any second..? No, he probably shouldn’t even try. His emerald green eyes looked into his for a second before darting away. He held his hands up against the other’s chest in defense. “I understand- I won’t bother you again..”, his voice was solemn as he gave in, not wanting to make matters worse. “Good-“, the blond said in finality and backed away at the touch of his hand. A small wave of embarrassment washed over him at his own behaviour. He really was behaving like a child around him, and he didn’t like it either. Katsuki was still pretty worked up however. “..Deku?”, the other male’s voice sounded questioningly. Without a second’s hesitation the words shout out of his mouth, “Worthless- because that’s what you are-“ Katsuki’s stone face was finally making an appearance. He turned and walked away then, taking a bite out of his sandwich. He was starving, and that’s all he’d managed to get to eat for the day. As he took another bite, he felt himself calming down. He’d been shitty to this Midoriya, but he had to give it his all- he had to get this job, even if it meant intimidating the other guy out of it. Izuku, back where he’d left him, was frowning. The word stuck in his mind- worthless. He’d felt that way for the better part of his life, having to struggle through school, put himself through several jobs and have to be at home to take care of his mother. He had known he was nothing special. But he had kept on believing anyway- that the school dances and the neighborhood crew hadn’t meant nothing. He’d worked hard every damn day of his life, to get what he wants, and he’d kept on believing. Someone like this blond, coming in here and blowing everyone away with his skills- he was a genius, he’d been marvelled at from the get-go and Izuku could see that. But someone like him- perfect in every way- he couldn’t tear down his dream with one word. Izuku would not let him. Kacchan will just have to see for himself, how much value he had, and he would show him for the rest of the week till he himself got picked for the spot. With a look of strong resolve on his face, Izuku joined the group after he finished eating his packed katsudon. The rest of the day went well, Katsuki and Izuku seemed to be competing more now, or so it seemed to the producers. They were both impeccable, and wouldn’t miss a beat. The sweatier and more tired they got, the harder they focused on their movements. As different as they both were from each other, this was how they came together- the same, relentless perseverance and hunger to be better than they last were. That was the last time they spoke to each other for the week. As the days of went on, they each came to the studio, glared at each other from across the room, and followed the instructor’s routine. Then they’d sit very far from each other for lunch, and resume the session after, till evening time. On the very last day of choreography week, the company staff had prepared a closing speech and snacks. Katsuki stood by the table, stuffing cake in his mouth between taking big gulps of water. He clapped and bowed like everybody else when the producer was done speaking his bit. This was it- they’d reveal who wins the spot today. They’d had a week to decide, it was now or never. And sure enough, the head choreographer came by. “Bakugou- we’d like you to stay till after everyone leaves-“, he said quietly with a smile. It was the kind of confident smile you give a winner when breaking the good news. Bakugou practically beamed at the man and nodded gratefully. He even bowed a little and watched him go.   I did it.. I got the job.. He waited for the others to leave, his head swimming with all the things that would change in his life. He’d be able to move to a better apartment, finally- maybe pay off some loans he’d taken. He’d be able to buy a car!? And best of all, he could dance as much as he wanted- no more having to scrape shit off of pans and wait tables for extra cash.
A glowing Bakugou waited and smiled at the producers one by one, who smiled back. The room cleared out slowly but surely, and before he knew it- it was just him standing in front of them. He couldn’t keep it in anymore, so he moved forward to shake their hands, smiling much wider than they’d seen him do so far. He opened his mouth to say the words, when somebody else seemed to beat him to it. “Thank you so much for the opportunity sir- I won’t disappoint you! I can’t believe it!”, his voice sounded loud and clear. Katsuki turned to see motherfucking Deku- beaming and shaking hands with the company officials- even the staff, the lighting and camera crew. What the fuck was happening?
“What- what’s the meaning of this-“, the blond started. Izuku seemed to notice him then too, and his smile was slowly disappearing. He was confused now, he’d been sure the producer had asked him to stay back, so why was Katsuki Bakugou here with him?? “Uh- is there another round for us to go through?”, the greenet could only think of this explanation, his eyes not leaving the other’s feral gaze. One of the music producers stepped forward with a reassuring smile. She looked at the other officials before continuing, “Well, this season, we were supposed to only have one spot open for hire- we were going to put your talents to use wherever we needed you- maybe groom you further to go solo- but..” She smiled wider and raised her hands, as if in awe. The other man took over then, “But we figured you’re both so good- and so well tuned with each other- we could take you both, make an exception! Our choreographers were very impressed with your form and style-“ The head choreographer continued, “We put our heads together and decided there’s something for the both of you if things go as planned-“ The two rivals stood still, listening to their words. Izuku looked at Katsuki, then looked back at the man. “Well- that’s fine by me, as long as I get the job- I’m happy for.. Bakugou san as well”, he ventured slowly, his eyes trailing back to the blond’s face. Katsuki on the other hand, kept silent. They both get the job? Something was up- this was Big Hit- they had very high selection criteria and you had to be lucky to get an audition slot, let alone get hired by them. He refused to believe another spot had magically been created to accommodate them both. “Well- you do both get the job.. “, the main producer continued, but his tone had changed. He looked visibly wary of saying the next part. “As long as you dance together- we’re thinking of putting you two in a group” The choreographer sipped at his coffee, his eyes darting between the clearly flustered Midoriya, and.. was Bakugou vibrating slightly? Oh dear.. “WHAT? US TOGETHER?? WHAT PART OF US SINGS HARMONY EXACTLY?”, the blond spat out- his finger jerked between Deku and himself. The head producer stepped forward to speak, but before he did, Bakugou yelled yet again directing his words at his competitor this time. “I WILL NOT TAKE HALF A SPOT- I’M TAKING HIS SPOT- DEKU’S SPOT IS MINE- I DESERVE AN ENTIRE SPOT-“ “Katsuki.. this is our final offer- if it’s not what you’re suited to- I’m sorry to say Izuku will be taking the job from you”, the man spoke with a steely gaze fixed on the exploding blond, who now seemed to deflate. “I speak on the behalf of the rest of the company in voicing our honest opinion- you did not make it easy for us to pick you after seeing your lack of cooperative spirit- and your temper”
He sounded even sterner. This was bad, Bakugou had already pushed his luck. “Having said that- the only reason you’re here now is merit- you earned your spot fair and square, our decision was based on us banking hard on your talent and work ethic- but if you do leave now, I think we might just dodge this bullet- save ourselves from dealing with your lack of sportsmanship later on-“ Bakugou stood there, humbled even somewhat humiliated. He bowed his head slightly and spoke in a low voice, “I.. apologize for my behaviour- I am very grateful for the opportunity- of course I will take it-“ That was the truth. He needed this job, even if it meant having to work together with this.. this.. “It’ll be great working with you Bakugou san!” He was beaming right at him, freckles and all.
Izuku wasn’t especially comfortable with the new arrangement, but seeing the blond’s demeanour change just now- it gave him hope. It had been clear to him over the week that Kacchan was a very proud young man- his ego knew no bounds. And yet, in this moment, he was willing to put it behind him for this job- that could only mean that he shared the same passion as him. He wanted this just as much. Katsuki tried to swallow the lump in his throat before letting out a deep breath. He turned to the other, and raised his hand to shake his. “The feeling’s.. mutual..”, he grumbled out the words- giving the distinct impression that the feeling was indeed, not mutual. “Brilliant! Good to see you two getting along- both very talented young men- we expect great things from you- we’ll be preparing to move you in with the other potential members-“ The words seemed to hang in the air, in some distant world from the one Katsuki was in. He stood with his hand clasped in Deku’s, his eyes fixed on his face. He really was smiling at him just now- didn’t this piss him off at all? Having to work together with him? After all the crap he’d said to him?? Izuku’s eyes locked on his. But suddenly they faltered and looked away, a faint blush formed on his cheeks. Fuck me. He’s cute too- goddammit. Bakugou frowned slightly and pulled his hand away from his. If they were going to be in a dance group- he was sure Deku looking like a goddamn bunny rabbit would earn him a higher position. All he could do was look angry- audiences didn’t like that. Big Hit would be training them to make their debut- something big, something flashy. As he turned to face the officials and nodded at the new information, he looked to his right, at his face. His eyes trailed down to his shoulders.. his chest.. his hips. With a little huff, he looked away. They’d be training to dance together- and this pretty, green dude would be taking center stage- of course he would.. with form like that- and a body like that.
As they left for the day with an address to move into, and a new schedule, new contacts to call for help, Midoriya found himself running to catch up to Bakugou in the lift again. He didn’t seem to be in a talking mood. “So.. I guess we’re going to be flatmates too huh- Bakugou san..”, he ventured slowly. His eyes looked over his face for signs he should back off. But there weren’t any. The blond seemed to have resigned himself to behave. “You don’t have to call me that- geez..” “Bakugou sa-?” “YEAH THAT- “, he snapped at him, then calmed down instantly. Guilt was eating away at him. He was supposed to live with the guy being chirpy as fuck like this? The honorifics had to stop. “Look uhh- we got off on the wrong foot last time we talked..”, Katsuki found himself talking to Midoriya’s feet. He couldn’t bear to be looking at his all-forgiving face right now. He’d fucked up, and he should apologize, so he was doing just that. “Just call me Katsuki- and that stuff was out of line- what I said to you about being worth-“ Izuku cut him off just then, with a big smile on his face, “Ah that’s alright- anyway, when you said Deku? It sounded more like ‘I can do it!’ to me- you can still call me that if you want Kacchan-“ The spiky haired blond looked up at him, his jaw dropping to the damn floor as the elevator doors opened. He followed after the zippy little shit as he went to catch his bus. “HEY- NOT THAT- NOT WHATEVER THE FUCK THAT WAS- YOU-“
All Deku responded with was a hand raised in a goodbye, and a smile stretched across his face ear to ear.  Katsuki couldn’t help but smirk at that. He raised his brow at him sitting in the window seat.
I’m not done with you, he texted him on the number he’d given him, then looked up at his face, smug.
A ping sounded, revealing the reply.
You can do whatever you want with me on Monday Kacchan, I’m not going anywhere.
Bakugou’s eyes caught on every word. He felt the corners of his lips go up, as he watched the bus crawl away, taking Deku with it. He looked so damn pleased with himself with his headphones on and his eyes closed.

"Forget it, you're a fucking asshole" with bkdk
Mweheheheheh! Hope you all wanted a nice dose of angst for your evening~!
Tumblr media
"You know what? Forget it," Midoriya finally snapped, throwing his hands up, "you're just a fucking asshole!"
Wrong move. "Oh, I'm the asshole? What the fuck about you?" Bakugo bellowed back, whipping around on him like a serpent. "It's been a horse shit week and what do you do? Ignore my fucking calls! Ignore my fucking texts! Run off with your dumbshit fucking friends!"
"You knew where I was! You were invited to come along! But, oh, no! How dare anybody have a celebration for the accomplishments of anyone other than you!" He was so fucking tired, so fucking done. All week since the reveal of the latest Hero rankings, Kacchan had been in one of his moods. The most recent polls showed that while the blonde had dropped 13 ranks and back out of the top fifty, his boyfriend had climbed up 17 ranks and now housed the number 34 slot. And Midoriya had tried being patient, being understanding, and had walked on eggshells all week. He had kept his excitement over his own ranking to himself, so as to avoid this very thing happening.
But then their friends had all been insistent on celebrating Midoriya's most recent success. They rented out a bar and ordered food and… For once, Midoriya decided to just let go and bask in it. He was gaining traction and his long held dream actually felt like a reality now, more than it ever had before, and he wanted to indulge in it a little. For so long he'd politely declined any suggestions for celebrations for his gradual incline into Pro Heroics. Part of it was because he didn't really want to get pats on the back for doing what was right, but also to avoid things like what was going down in their apartment.
Because for as much as he loved Bakugo Katsuki, he also knew how competitive he was; especially when it came to Midoriya himself.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot you need constant affirmation of what a good fucking job you're doing!" Bakugo sniped back, lips twisting up in a snarl.
But Midoriya wasn't backing down. No, instead he squared his shoulders and met the others blazing stare with one of his own. "This is the first time I've even gone out to celebrate my Hero ranking! What are you even on about?"
"Don't play fucking dumb! The newspapers, the reporters, the interviews! You're constantly going on and talking up all the shit you do!"
"You do just as many of those as me!" he snapped, completely exasperated. He reached up with one hand to pinch the bridge of his nose and groaned, squeezing his eyes shut tight against a fast approaching headache. "Look, I'm sorry that your rank dropped, I really am. But that doesn't mean you have the right to get shitty with me because I did well!"
"Oh, here we go! Gonna start playing the victim, eh? Gonna cry about how mean I am, Deku?" he goaded, rolling his eyes. "That's all you've ever done! All of it, all of this? It's just a fucking act!" Bakugo's voice was lower now but filled with venom and scorn as he took a step back and indicated all of Midoriya with a wave of his hands. "That's the real reason you do what you do, right? Because you want people to think you're better than you actually are! You're not the big hot shot hero they all think you are! You're just playing the fucking part! You're nothing but the fucking puppet All Might set up to dance after his own strings got cut!"
Midoriya opened his mouth like he wanted to respond, like he had something to say, but then he snapped it shut with a click of his jaw. He wanted to cry at the low blow, really he did. Only four months ago, his predecessor had passed away due to complications from his growing list of health concerns. The loss had hit them both hard, but from the tragedy, Midoriya had felt his spark almost renewed. He stepped back into the line of duty 300 percent more determined than ever to fulfill his promise to the late great who set him on his course.
It would seem that perhaps All Might's death had stirred something nasty up in Bakugo, though.
"You know what? I'm done," he croaked out with a hollow little laugh, shoving past the other and making a beeline for the bedroom. He could hear the other following after him but he paired him no mind as he fished his own suitcase out of the closet and tossed it on the bed.
There was panic in Bakugo's eyes for the briefest of seconds as Midoriya grabbed a handful of shirts out of the closet and tossed them haphazardly into the suitcase. "The fuck is that supposed to mean?" he snapped, anger flaring back up instantly.
"Exactly what it sounds like," he said in a surprisingly even tone as he moved from the closet to the dresser. He packed up a good amount of his clothes, grabbed the charger for his phone, and then started zipping up the bag. He'd just go to a store and buy some toiletries to hold him over later. At that moment, however, he was desperate to just get the Hell out of the apartment. "I'm done. I'm leaving."
He held the other's eye as he spoke the words, wanting to prove the sincerity in them. He could see clenched fists twist at Bakugo's side, desperate to do something, anything! Instead, though, he actually stepped aside.
"Thank you. I'll get the rest of my things soon enough," he said firmly as he walked past. He made sure to shut the front door quietly behind him. He kept it together as he headed down the stairs, making it all the way to the next block over before the tears started. He fished his phone out of his back pocket, scrolled through his contacts, and pulled up Ochako's, sending a brief text.
Me (11:13 P.M.)
We're over. Come get me?

Chapter 1 | Chapter 2
Pairing: BKDK x Reader
Notes: DIALOGUE DIALOGUE WHO HERE WANTS SOME DIALOGUE
Chapter 2.
An early morning appointment must have been the only one available, that has to be the reason you’re rushing out the door. If this turns out to be some sort of joke, you won’t be happy. But it’s hard to believe that a hero would do something like that.
The receptionist at the agency is barely awake, the same as you. You stare at each other for a moment, debating whether or not human interaction is worth it at six in the morning. But you walk up to him and attempt to smile, a gesture returned as he holds back a yawn. As tired as you are, you set your bag to the side on the desk to sign.
“I have an appointment with Ground Zero at 6:30.”
You don’t expect the receptionist to give you a sleepy nod and check the computer. Then again, it makes sense that a person working at Ground Zero’s agency would be able to sign. It’s public knowledge that the hero is deaf. The receptionist nods as he checks the computer and gestures for you to sit down. The chair you sit on is comfortable and it would put you to sleep if you weren’t intent on making this appointment. And it’d be hard to sleep anyways, when there’s the sound of the hero you’re here to see yelling quite loudly.
“He set an appointment for me without telling me?” There’s quite obvious rage in his voice. “They’re here? Fuck- fine. I’ll meet with them.”
A door slams open and a frustrated, half dressed Ground Zero greets you. It’s more of a glare and a gesture for you to follow him further into the agency. You barely grab your things as you try to catch up. Through hallways and an awkward elevator ride to the top floor, you’re metaphorically tossed into the man’s office.
“So, what are you here for?” He’s aggravated and he glares at you, leaning on his desk.
“Cellophane told me that you might like to have a mural painted of you. Similar to the two murals that have popped up recently.”
Ground Zero pauses as he looks at your hands, then your face. His brows furrow and a small grimace grows on his face. You’re quick to explain yourself.
“I have vocal cord paralysis so I am unable to speak. I don’t intend to offend you.”
His features soften and you let out a sigh of relief, though it’s more of an odd wheeze. The understanding he has feels like a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders. You should’ve expected him to be understanding of your situation.
“You’re a painter, then?” He waits for your nod before continuing. “What sort of work do you do?”
“A bit of everything. I enjoy the private work requests, they’re often mural or specific art requests. Everything else is usually repainting over graffiti or fixing already painted areas.”
“Do you have examples of your work?”
You pull out a small folder with pictures. It’s past work ranging from basic painting to complicated murals. There’s also a few pieces of work you’ve down on your down time, things that have cost several shirts and a clean floor. You hand it over and let him look through the folder. His expression is hard to read but when he hands it back, he’s smiling a little.
“He wasn’t wrong about me being interested in a mural.” He thinks for a minute and sighs. “How much would it cost?”
The question catches you off guard and you stutter silently.
“I’m not really sure, actually. I don’t really need a lot of money right now, my jobs have been high paying recently.”
“120,000 yen.” His voice is commanding, final. You obviously don’t get a choice in this, but 120,000 yen? That’s the equivalent of you painting the side of a three-story building and a half. You gape and Ground Zero lets out a hearty laugh at your expression. He comes to wrap an arm around your shoulder and pull you towards his desk. After a bit of rummaging through his papers, he finds a map of the area. Before he can point to a possible spot for the mural, the door to his office opens.
“Kaachan!”
The voice is familiar and you don’t have to turn around to figure out who it is. Ground Zero does it for you.
“Deku! What the hell are you doing here this early?” You glance at his face, which has contorted into a deep scowl, then turn to face the new person in the room. Bright green eyes are the first thing you see, heading in your direction but not meeting your eyes. You’re met with another hero, one that’s not as intimidating.
“I wanted to drop in before my patrol.”
“Well, I’m busy.” It’s really a hopeless gesture, pointing to you. “I have someone here that’s going to paint a mural of me.”
He sounds so arrogant that you want to punch him. But Deku seems to be used to it because he just smiles.
“That’s so cool, Kaachan!” You can tell that he expects you to say something, but you can’t.
“They can’t speak, dumbass. Use your eyes.”
There’s the click of something turning on before the green, almost blank eyes meet yours. Deku smiles at you and walks over, holding out his hand. You hesitantly grab it and the hero gives your hand a strong, firm handshake that’s almost a little too tight. Despite how awkward he seems when he looks at you, you can feel that he’s definitely as nice as you’ve seen on TV. You pull your hand back and sign.
“It’s nice to meet you.”
“He doesn’t understand sign language.” Ground Zero says it with certainty and Deku scratches the back of his neck awkwardly. He looks towards the blond for help. “Uh…”
“Kaachan!” You’re amazed at how easily they understand each other. “You never asked for their name, did you?”
There’s a pause and you realize that Deku is right. The hero never asked your name and until this moment, it hasn’t been a point of interest. You silently laugh and shake your head, amused by the new expression on “Kaachan’s” face. It’s one of surprise and embarrassment. You’re quick to remedy the situation.
“L/N F/N.”
“This is L/N. He said that it’s nice to meet you.”
“It’s nice to meet you too, L/N! So, you’re going to be painting a mural for Kaachan? How did you get in touch with him?”
“Tape face set up this appointment without telling me. He’s lucky that I’ve been considering a mural, anyways.” The blond answers for you. All you do is lean against the desk and listen to their bickering, almost like a married couple. Though, the bickering is more from Ground Zero than Deku. The latter seems to be far more energetic and expressive than the former. Deku doesn’t look to be feeling any negative feelings coming from Ground Zero’s words despite how full of anger they sound.
“You two act like you’re married.” You sign to no one in particular. It’s more of you thinking aloud. But Deku sees your hands moving, though you’re not sure how. He turns to face you more and tilts his head in curiosity.
“What’s that, L/N?”
It’s too late to back out of this once the blond looks at you, so you sign again.
“You two act like you’re married.”
“That’s because we are married, dumbass.” He holds up his left hand and grabs Deku’s, putting it next to his. Sure enough, there’s matching wedding bands on their ring fingers. “We haven’t made it public because the media wouldn’t leave us alone if we did. You don’t tell anyone, got it?”
“It’s not like I can scream it from the rooftops, you know.” The blond huffs and lets go of Deku’s hand. You look back and forth between them before nodding to yourself. “You look good together.”
“Of course we look good together.”
“Would Deku also like a mural?”
He shrugs and nudges the other hero. “He’s asking if you’d like a mural.”
“S-sure!” The stutter is cute, along with the blush that coats his cheeks. Deku seems to like the idea, but you’ve come to understand that he’s a lot more humble than the blond despite having just met him. “How much are you charging?”
“I’m paying them 120,000 yen.” Hearing the number again makes you wonder if you’re dreaming.
“That sounds like a fair price!” Deku walks towards you and grabs your hands in his, a reassuring gesture. Even without good sight, he can tell you’re a little nervous. “Don’t worry! We can set up a meeting and talk about where to put the mural and what you’ll need to do it.”
You nod and he lets go of your hands, walking back to Ground Zero. You see the blond lean towards him so you turn around, assuming it’s a kiss. As you look at the map that was laid out in front of you before, you don’t hear the whisper said to Deku.
“I have a feeling he’s our graffiti artist.”

bnha x psycho pass AU
This is an AU I wrote on the todomomo discord server eons ago. Anything posted to this blog will be transcripts of old original work and not really edited, save for formatting. I have no guarantees if I will ever finish these AUs either so these will only be kept as an archive.
Original transcript posted to tdmm discord: Mar 2019
OK @xharu‘s tdmm psycho pass au fanart got me like 💡💡💡 all day at work so like ASHFJGLS JUST TAKE THIS IDEA VOMIT
ok so part of me wants to have Inspector!Momo and Enforcer!Todo but also Inspector!Todo makes so much more sense
esp if All Might and Endeavor are high ranking inspectors in the Public Safety Bureau
So like lets go with Inspector!Todo that needs to live up to his dad's reputation and very-good-at-her-job-but-not-always-confident Inspector!Momo as a team leading Division 1
That consists of Todo, Momo, and KamiJirou as enforcers and two others idk I haven’t decided yet
BUT ANYWAY Inspector!Todo takes his job very seriously like Gino in pp s1 bc not only is there living up to Endeavor's reputation, its also making sure he doesn’t fuck up his psycho pass bc he’s not the first one to walk down the MWPSB path
Bc knowing me, ofc im gonna throw in Dabi there and ofc its going to be Dabi who was the first one to become an inspector for the MWPSB like Endeavor and ofc his story is that his pp falls down into latent criminal status and he’s demoted into Enforcer
And duh Endeavor is disappointed af that his eldest became an Enforcer and thus becomes that trash dad he is putting pressure on Todo to do better than his brother
And this is just more backstory not related to tdmm but y’all need context so.....
Dabi's an Enforcer who somehow manages to run away from house arrest in the MWPSB while on a mission and goes into hiding bc duh Sybil's got eyes everywhere
So on the run Latent Criminal Dabi manages to join up with Shigaraki's gang who are also a bunch of LCs hiding underground, and you can guess the rest but also more on that later
Ok back to tdmm:
Todo always tries to keep his crime coefficient at like 65 bc it really doesn’t go any lower considering he is under stress and he knows and that makes it worse so ya really like s1 Gino
Momo's good with her pp like Akane is so honestly it keeps around 20-30
(And for those that didn’t know, crime coefficients: 0-100 = you’re good, 100-300 = latent criminal, 300+ = Sybil doesn’t like you)
And Jirou probably hang around 110-120... Kaminari probs a little higher 150ish and part of me wants to make him like Kagari whos pp has been above 100 his whole life but nah im not gonna do that bc that’s playing the trope card
Anyway........
Other MWPSB members probably like this:
already mentioned All Might and Endeavor as top inspectors
Nedzu as the chief bc he knows and y k n o w from s1 👀👀👀
Division 2 is probs led by Inspector!Deku and Inspector!Bakugou under the mentorship of All Might
(another part of me wants to put Enforcer!Bakugou on tdmm's team but im really fighting myself over this)
Aizawa is Professor Saiga. thats it there’s nothing else.
Ok i lied maybe something else lmao idk mebbe Aizawa was an inspector during All Might’s and Endeavor’s generation but retired bc his pp was getting cloudy AND he clouds other people
but that doesn’t stop Dhinsou from getting mentored by him and eyyy Shinsou becomes the MWPSB's interrogator like Saiga does in s2
idk whos gonna be the analyst yet bc im learning toward Tsuyu for some reason
wait no scratch that. Eccentric analyst should be HATSUME MEI bc ofc shjfkaoa
Kendou, Tetsutetsu, Monoma and Yui and idk who else from 1-B make up Division 3 bc must have Class B in there and KendouMomo friendship okay
OKAY now then......
AfO is criminally asymptomatic (aka is villain af but Sybil doesn’t recognize his CC as what it really is) bc ofc he is
And guess what, Shig is too
So AfO nurtures Shig into a master manipulator n all that bc ofc he does bc "they’re both special"
And ofc AfO learns the secret of Sybil and becomes part of Sybil too bc y’know that’s how it is
But Shig doesn’t know that and he’s on a mission to find out where adoptive criminally asymptomatic mastermind dad went
But really this story will be Shig v Deku's team cuz gotta keep it organic
And tdmm's team will be v Dabi BC Y’KNOW
Makishima's role from the original pp will prob be divided between Shig and Dabi bc ya, sure, Shig is criminally asymptomatic but Dabi was an Inspector and knows the ins and outs of MWPSB so that’s why he joins Shig so they can play the system
So like, pp s1 there’s a bunch of cases that tdmm team goes thru thus:
1) one of em is Overhaul who runs a drug ring selling drugs that artificially lowers one's psycho pass
2) Gentle whos been quarantined his whole life in rehab bc his pp has been 100+ his whole life but breaks out bc he just really wants to be an Inspector of the MWPSB
And now the meat of tdmm is that they've been partners for a long time on Division 1 but even though they’re the same rank Momo relies on Todo too often for decisions on how to handle a case and Todo's always under pressure from Endeavor, he doesn,t ask for help when really EVERYONE CAN SEE IT. HE NEEDS MOMO AS HIS EMOTIONAL CRUTCH
Okay so idk what he actually did to incite the case (probably tried to bomb smth tbh) but the general idea is after tdmm team runs into Dabi and they confront him like Kogami + Akane did with Makishima at the tower. Basically, Todo loses it with seeing Touya becoming Dabi and tries to lethal eliminate him but ofc Momo knows that’s not the right thing to do since Dabi's coeff isnt 300+ yet and has to stop Todo but also stop Dabi from getting away
And Todo seeing Dabi makes his pp creep up reaaalllly close to 100+ which is Todo's greatest fear
So. Momo in the moment has to like throw the dominators away, tie up Todo or smth and knock out dabi all in a split second
And then finally todo comes to his senses while tied up and collapses on the floor like "im sorry.... thank you Momo. I believed in you"
And she collapses on the floor beside him too and they both kinda just put their heads together to take a moment bc ahsjjdslfs the whole situation was just too much
AT THE VERY END FINALE (assuming Dabi escapes like Makishima did or smth) WHEN TODO FINDS HIM, DABI'S GONNA BE LIKE "Im happy it ends this way and happy you found her bc I didn’t have someone like that to keep me afloat under all of dad's pressure"
(Note: whatever "ends this way" entails has yet to be decided)
(But he’s not gonna die and im not making Todo a killer)
this story could end with him leaving the country like Kogami did
And hey y’know what. lets do that. He escapes. that’s a re-occuring theme here lol
FOR FUNSIES:
The blossoming romance w Momo is what keeps Todo’s pp down. like it gradually drops from 65 to 40ish and he doesn’t notice it as plot and romance goes on until the very end when, the day after the finale when Dabi escapes, he wakes up, has an Official Date™ w Momo and then checks his pp later which suddenly is at 40
Qjdkkfsk how funny would it be if every time Todo thinks pervy thoughts of Momo his pp tracker spikes up from 40 to 70+ and whoever checks the trackers see it 😂😂😂
Bakugou just happens to check the monitors as Deku walks in like "Kacchan lets go its our shift" and Deku sees it too and he gets worried and consults Iida who talks to Kaminari bc he’s on Todo’s team and it goes around the MWPSB like wildfire among all the guys
So going out for drinks later is like 8 of them sans the Enforcers and really, most of the time Deku and Bakugou have their pp under control but when Todo tells them abt that moment, everyone is too sh00k and then THE WHOLE GROUP'S PP GETS TOO HIGH AND CAUSES AN AREA EFFECT ADKJDFJDAHSFK
the iinspectors themselves instigate a psycho hazard and the enforcers that stayed back, particularly the girls are like what the fuCK Guys
It probably becomes an inside joke among all the guys some ways down the line. they had to do their own damage control and it was A Disaster™ 😂😂😂
Aizawa is still the captain of the ship in this au bc even though he’s basically Saiga and retired, All might & Endeavor tell bkdk and tdmm's team to consult him bc he has really good insight on cases
and when Aizawa meets tdmm when they consult with him over Dabi's case he's so ONBOARD
And mebbe helps out with Todo's pp problem like dropping hints that hey, y’know, mebbe your partner can help - in more ways than one - if you just listen to her instead of tryna bottle it up all yourself
kamijirou has had a bet for how long it'll take them to fuck since they've been assigned under tdmm
Aizawa joins in on the bet
And honestly Bakugou probably does too only bc he gets pissed off looking at the unresolved sexual tension and being the victim so he wants to win
