Im imagining that right after that beautiful scene took place, they all end up in a puppy pile on Aki and Kakashi’s living room floor. Just piled on top of each other in a mess of flowing silks, strong limbs, and hair.

Maybe they allow themselves to completely relax for the first time in years, with each other’s scents in the air and chakra wrapped around them like a blanket.

Oh 100%.

The three of them find a premium stretch of carpet, sun warm and soft from years of them all fighting over this one space, and fall in a tangle of limbs and silks and hair u til they didn’t know where one of them ended and the other two began.

Naruto finds his head pillowed on Sakura’s stomach and Sasuke sprawled over his legs with Aki laughing with Anko and Orochimaru in the kitchen and Kakashi nearby pretending to read while his eyes scanned the three of them on the floor, and finally after two and a half years feels like he can breathe again. At long last he is home. He is safe. If he looked out the open window he would see the familiar red lanterns of the district waving gently in the breeze.

He releases the last of the tension he didn’t know he was holding, one hand tangling in Sasuke’s long hair even as he turned his face into Sakura’s stomach as he lets out a shaky and too wet laugh.

After all this time of being so busy, of going from one mission to the next, of the training, of never stopping moving, it finally hit him how much he had missed this. Missed them.

His family.

“I love you guys,” He laughs through the tears, muffled by Sakura’s stomach.

Her nails, kept short and neat for the hospital, scratch at his scalp and Sasuke cups the delicate bone of his ankle, the closest thing he could grab.

“We love you too,” Sakura says with a sniffle.

Naruto Uzumaki

• Naruto makes all of the groupchats in his friendgroups and is the most active in all of them. "Super Seven Squad" has himself, Sakura, Sasuke, Sai, Yamato and Kakashi. "Naru-Squad" has Sakura, Kiba, Rock Lee and Shikamaru. Sasuke and Gaara were added but Sasuke left and Gaara can't figure out groupchats. "Next Gen Parents" has himself, Hinata, Sakura, Sasuke, Temari, Shikamaru, Rock Lee, Gaara, ect.

• After training with Jiraiya, he picks up writing as a hobby. He's good at writing narratives, but his handwriting takes a while to become legible.

• Considers Sakura his older sister, he acts on this quite a lot and calls her "Nee-San" sometimes

• If Just Dance were a thing in the ninja world, he'd be the master. Sakura would be his less enthusiastic partner

Sakura Haruno/Uchiha

• Sakura's love language is gift giving. Often she will spoil Sasuke with flowers, treats and very fancy, well thought out dates. This carries onto her friendships and family bonds as well.

• She takes note of things her "nieces and nephews" enjoy and makes sure to buy something for them every time she visits. Boruto and Shikadai often get Ninja Trading Cards, Metal and his sister get new ninja equipment, ect.

• Sakura goes all out for birthday celebrations, and Sarada has never had a boring birthday

• Naruto gave her a shirt that says "Honorary Uzumaki" some time after he came back from training with Jiraiya, she still wears it even when she's an Uchiha. Naruto got her multiple new ones when the first finally tore

• Sakura's a very sloppy sleeper. Snoring, drooling and always sprawled out. The only time she's not taking up the whole bed is when she's spooning Sasuke. She has drooled in his hair and she will again

Sasuke Uchiha

• He's the leanest and lightest out of Team 7. This works well in his favour because it helps with his agility, but it's impossible for him to get out from under Sakura or Naruto without the use of Ninjutsu

• He associates certain hobbies or items with the people he's near. Anything hospital related reminds him of his wife as well as pink flowers, ramen reminds him of Naruto, ink reminds him of Sai, ect.

• Sasuke is very touch-affectionate with Sakura, craving her hugs and kisses whenever they're apart. He gets embarrassed when he asks, however, so he's very subtle and indirect

• Always ends up on top of or hugging Sakura in his sleep. Over the years he too has become a sloppy sleeper, but as long as Sakura is holding him, he doesn't mind

Hinata Hyūga

• All of the Hyūga clan have very prominent veins, especially around their eyes. Each Hyūga member has a unique pattern or colour. Hinata's children inherit this trait, but it's harder to see

• Hinata's veins are mostly purple, and her veins form a heart shape on her left eyelid, but it's usually hidden by her multiple eyelid creases. Neji's veins were green and formed a look similar to lightning

• Hinata has very soft, pale skin. In the cold and heat, she's always the first to go red, so she always packs a hat and a jacket.

• She has indented knuckles and is quite plump. This used to be an insecurity for her, but her friends and partners helped her embrace it

Kiba Inuzuka

• Kiba loves to sing. He typically makes up random songs about what he's doing, like washing dishes or sweeping the floor, but he also likes to sing music from his playlists. He enjoys calmer music, but he'll sing almost anything

• Team 8, Mirai and Himawari are the only people who know Kiba sings. Kiba loves his hobby but he's too embarrassed to sing in public

• On bad days, Kiba will sit with Shino on their bed in the dark brushing his hair with his fingers, singing softly to him to help them both relax

• After finding out about Shino's sensitive eyes, he went and bought blackout curtains and dim lights for his house so Shino could walk through comfortably without his glasses

Shino Aburame

• Shino is a very jealous person, and he sucks at hiding it. Many people have had to hold him back to prevent him from saying nasty things

• During Shippuden, he formed a bond with Akamaru. Since then, people called him Akamaru's second owner or second dad. He embraced this fully when he and Kiba got together

• He loves working with the dogs that the Inuzuka clan raise, but he does get very attached emotionally. If he had his way, he and Kiba would have about 30 dogs running around the house

• His eyes are a very deep brown colour, in the light they would shimmer with a orange-gold like colour. Due to his sensitivity to light though, only Kiba and the odd doctor have seen this.

• He gets cold very easily, so he's constantly layering his clothes. He and Hinata both would huddle in next to Akamaru on missions in the winter

• He has small scars on his body where his bugs come out, but they go unnoticed by the human eye at a distance. Hinata and Kiba always panic when they see Shino bleeding from his bugs breaking through his skin

Shikamaru Nara

• Shikamaru loves puzzle books, like Sudoku. He often buys magazines to complete these puzzles, sometimes looking into the latest gossip

• Once he and Temari are in a relationship, he carries a small summoning scroll that holds a giant folding fan, just in case of emergencies

• Shikamaru loves the food from Sunagakure, the rich tastes and flavours are to die for, but he can't stand the heat of the desert. Fortunately, Temari often brings Suna ingredients home so they don't miss out when they're in Konoha

• He unironocally loves some One Direction songs, although he'd never openly admit it. It's a secret he'll take to the grave

• Sakura caught him singing What Makes You Beautiful once and she has never let him live it down

Rock Lee

• After Neji's death, Lee starts to grow his hair out in remembrance. It takes him a long time for him to grieve but he soon finds peace with the loss

• For a short time after the war, Lee joins the Anbu under Kakashi's guide. After the birth of his first child however, he quits and becomes a Chūnin exam proctor for Konoha

• He and Shikamaru form a bond due to their relationships within the Suna trio. They become each others biggest defender when it comes to Kankuro, who still doesn't want to share his siblings with them even as an adult

• In The Next Generation period, he doesn't talk with Gai that often, focusing more on his family, friends and career. He has little time for other things

• He lived in Suna for a couple of years when Aiko and Metal were born. When his duties were needed back at Konoha, he took Metal with him because of Gaara's busy schedule. They visit each other as much as the can during holidays

• Scared of Temari

Temari no Sabaku/Nara

• Temari has very rough and dry skin. Her lips are usually chapped and peeling, and her hair is very coarse. She doesn't know what skin and hair care is, and even if she did, she'd ignore it

• She has a scar on her back near her right shoulder from protecting Gaara from a Suna villager, no one knows about this scar except Shikamaru who saw it on accident

• Very protective and loving of her little brothers, she'll always throw herself between them and an enemy if it means they'll be safe. Kankuro and Gaara worry that they'll lose her because of this

• Surprisingly very affectionate, and she loves to spoil all of her loved ones to the point they need extra storage to keep their gifts

• Sakura was her first close friend from Konoha, they relate quite a lot with their love for their family (even though Sakura's is not by blood). In their later years, Sakura introduced Hinata to Temari, and after a bit of a rocky start, they have girls nights every couple of weeks. Just the three of them

• Has fought with Kankuro over getting a puppy many times. In their early life, they couldn't afford or take care of one, but as adults, Temari finally gave in. She bought Kankuro a puppy for his birthday before she left for Konoha

a/n: this is my first fic ever for this show. I am on my second re-watch of Naruto, so lord, be gracious if anything is out of character.

It’s humid outside, the air clinging to your skin much like the dress you have on. Your heels click against the pavement as they carry you two blocks over. You aren’t close enough to hear the music, but gods, could you feel the bass. It’s the first party to kick off the summer. The sand siblings held a party every year and this one was no different. Well, maybe a little different. The weight of the necklace around your neck is a reminder of just how different everything really was.

The crowd is thick, the air intoxicating. Hungry eyes devour your being as you walk into the familiar home. The sound of your name catches your attention. A sly smile making its way on your face. All your favorite people are here. Your chest tightens a little. Sakura and Ino wrap you in a hug, compliments on your appearance pouring out of them. A bone crushing hug comes from behind you, venom on your tongue ready to bite when you turn to see Naruto. It dies, and all you can do is accept the affection he’s so graciously giving you.

Voices talk over each other, some getting lost in the music. But you know what’s being said. Talks of adventures, and completed missions. The relief of finally being home. The smile never leaves you as you partake in the conversation, you’ve been tucked up into Kiba’s side, his arm thrown lazily over your shoulder. Your best friend since damn near birth, it comes to no surprise that he’s missed you. Sighing, you turn your head, there is no ignoring the knowing gaze of Gaara. He’s been watching you since you got here, Temari too, just a lot more discreet.

“You’re going to leave a scar from your stare burning into my face.”

“You need a drink.”

The both of you stare at each other for a moment. The bass of the music vibrates through you.

“Naruto,” you call, breaking Gaara’s gaze. The blonde perks up at your attention. “Come.”

Normally Kiba would be at your side when it comes to this kind of thing, but that’d be a little too obvious this time. You hear Kiba laugh as Naruto makes his way to your side. If sunshine could be bottled into a person, he’d be it. He’s literally buzzing with energy. Eyes bright and slightly glassy, his signature grin taking up his face.

“Let’s get a drink,” you say, grabbing his hand and pulling him closer to you.

He nods, leading the way. His giant body parts the crowd a lot easier than you would’ve. His mouth is moving, but you can’t make out the words he says. His free hand flies as he talks, his whole body animated, eager to get his words out. It makes your lips quirk as you watch him. He really is a nice guy, a little clueless and impulsive, but nice nonetheless. If your heart wasn’t already taken by someone else, you could see yourself being completely owned by someone like him.

It’s in the kitchen when he lets go of your hand, lips brushing against your ear to ask what you’d like to drink. You barely hear him over your raging heartbeat. He’s here. Kankuro. He’s right there leaning against the counter, bottle in hand, looking like he doesn’t have a care in the world. It isn’t him that’s getting you worked up though. No, it's the girl that’s hanging on him, doing her best to appear meek whilst shoving her tits in his face. Your nails dig crescent shapes into your palms, teeth biting into your cheek. Huh, maybe things are different now. Naruto, your saving grace, calls your name. You're thankful you were able to look away before you got caught staring. As if you aren’t embarrassed enough.

“What do you want to drink?”

“Whatever is sweet and in a capped bottle, Naru.”

Your smile is sugary sweet when he winks at you. You fiddle with the chain around your neck, almost tempted to take it off. It went from being your hail mary to something that’s condemning you right back to hell. Maybe you made yourself a little too much of a target tonight. Your mind is attacking you and nothing has even happened. You pull slightly at the hem of your dress. It’s tight and it’s not moving—you knew what you were doing.

A snicker has you looking up. Instead of looking at the girl whose nose is the air with the audacity to judge you, your eyes meet his. A gasp gets lodged in your throat, making you choke on your breath. Fingers clinging onto the heavy metal that rests against your chest.

“Don’t think he’ll find what you’re wanting.” Her nasally voice mocks. “It’s rough or nothing around here.”

Your lips push in thought. This girl has no idea who you are. You aren’t here by word of mouth like most people. She has no idea a key to this house sits next to your own on the keychain in your purse. This castle welcomes you in, no matter what.

“Here, sweetheart.” Naruto says as he saunters up to you. “Easy to find when there’s four cases with your name written on it. Gaara really went all out for you tonight.”

Gaara. You need a drink. That’s why he’s in charge around here, you suppose. The guy just always knows. A light laugh escapes you. Naruto smiles at you quizzically, not completely understanding, but happy to see you happy. He really is contagious. Kankuro stiffens, you’re not sure if it’s from your laughter or the fact that Naruto is pressed tightly against you. Either way, you can see how he straightens, shaking the girl off him, his stare never leaving your face.

Ignoring him the best you can, you push on your tiptoes and lightly place a kiss upon Naruto’s cheek. You grin when heat blossoms instantly across his cheeks. “Thank you. Now come on, before Kiba hunts me down for a game of beer pong.”

One of the reasons you hate when Kiba hunts you down for beer pong is the fact that you guys never fucking lose. You’re a dynamic duo, carrying each other like a proper team should. Lee and Naruto are on the side of the table, frustration pouring out of both of them. Sweat beads along your hairline. Your hairdo long since forgotten due to the humidity; it’s now pulled up held loosely in a clip at the back of your head. There’s three cups left on the table, two for you and one for Lee and Naruto. It’s your turn to get the winning shot. You step into position, flicking the access water off the ball when you feel it. The heat of his stare. It’s taking in every inch of you never pausing for more than a moment. There’s nothing you can do other than freeze under such scrutiny.

Kiba calls your name, but you can barely hear him. Your gaze locks onto Kankuro’s. His eyes are blazing. Emotions swirling like a typhoon, desperate to drown you. He’s moving through the sea of bodies, shoulders knocking into others without even a backwards glance. He’s heading towards you and there isn’t much you can do.

Tearing your gaze from his, you squeeze your eyes shut. One, two, three. One, two, three. You can do this. Taking a deep breath, your eyes open, almost stumbling back because Kiba’s right in your face staring at you with a deadpan look.

“What?” You snap.

“What do you mean, ‘what?’ Throw the goddamn ball and win the game. You can fuck him later.”

Your lips part as your eyes narrow. “Listen here, mutt—”

“Don’t act like you guys weren’t just eye fucking each other.” Kiba rolls his eyes. “Plus, if you don’t, I’ll lose fifty bucks to Shikamaru. So help me out, huh?”

You don’t even know what to say. What can you say? He not only called you out on your bullshit, but Kankuro’s too. Kiba smirks, patting the top of your head before moving out of your way. All water, no cup. Lee and Naruto moan at their loss, again, as they down their drinks. Kiba howls, kissing your cheek causing you to squirm away from him. He knows you’re annoyed with him and is trying to be cute.

“I need some air.”

“Two more games,”

“Kiba! Shika is right there, use him. I need to breathe.”

You don’t miss his knowing smirk as you turn and head for the backyard. It’s drastically more quiet and you welcome it. There’s a few people out here, most taking a smoke. Your hand twitches, you should have snagged one from Shikamaru when you were inside. You walk around the yard, pulled deeper into the backyard where the edge of the yard meets the sparse trees. A light laugh escapes you when the sight of an old, roughly put together fort comes into view. Instantly you know it was Gaara’s, a place he could hide when he was younger.

A shriek comes from behind you, a hand flies to your chest as you jump. Gods, you’re wound so tight, the fresh air you were so desperate to get isn’t helping you now. If anything, you’re desperate to go home and wash the night off of you. The more you linger, the more you feel like it’s been a mistake. Even if Gaara and Temari think otherwise. You finger your necklace, the thought of taking it off and leaving it behind dances in your mind once again.

How mad would he be? Would he honestly be surprised? Does it fucking matter? Yes. It does. Because you love him. You’re a goddamn idiot in love with a bigger idiot.

Groaning, your head falls back, clip loosening, hair falling to frame your face. Yeah, it’s time to go home. Four cases of your favorite drink and you only made it through one. Hello! I may sound weird but nvm. I like your post and the way you explain everything. I used to ship NH and SS once, but after seeing the beauty of SNS. I dropped these ship.

So I saw a pro SS claiming that SNS is just like SS. They claimed if Sasuke trying to ki*lling Sakura is abuse then for Naruto is it love? I don't think it's weird, you have just matured and realized SS/NH isn't mutual love. It's not like you're the first one to do that either.

First of all the reason I'm anti-ss is not because they tried to kill each other. It's because Sasuke isn't interested in Sakura, period. He rejected all her romantic advances ever since the start, and in part 2 he saved Naruto over her and didn't care about her despite her desperate attempts to get his attention.

Secondly, Sakura went to see Sasuke in order to assassinate him. But Sasuke realized what she was about to do. Cue this:

Kishimoto would have never drawn a scene like this between Sasuke and Naruto, where Sasuke tries a sneak attack and chidori Naruto behind his back, because Naruto is actually important to Sasuke's character and Kishimoto cares about their relationship. Sasuke is always facing Naruto and both of them are on the same page when they fight. Because they are equals.

When it comes to Naruto, he tried to kill him because Naruto was the only person that made him feel like he wasn't alone. And he needed to be alone to become the Kage with no bonds. Sakura being around had no significance to Sasuke. Kishimoto stressed this so many times, as you can see above, because he wanted you to understand how much Naruto means to Sasuke. Not Sakura. But in the end Sasuke couldn't kill Naruto, because he loved him too much, and thus he accepted Naruto's love for him and submitted to it. Which is why he says he lost.

This is not even subtle, but you can't expect SS to understand something as simple as this, because they don't understand much anything about the story, which is proven by the fact they think Kishimoto actually likes SS and Sakura.

🌊They look highly disturbed when they report what they found out and even Tobirama is thrown out of his normally composed state a bit. He experienced the horror of war and great loss but dying over and over again must have taken another toll of damage on your mind which must have resorted in your laidback behavior and the fact that you do not fear death anymore. With nowhere else for you to go, he decides to accept you into his village as a sort of apology for not believing you at first, though he justifies his initial disbelief because your story sounds like something out of a peculiar dream. Your case is top secret and even if you cope with it in your own way, the Hokage forces you to go to therapy for more help.

🌊He’s getting more involved, initially because he doesn’t want to let too many people in on you and someone has to teach you the ways of his world and secondly because he has an interest in your world. Maybe he can get some good advices from hearing about how your world functions. Tobi is attentive in his own way, he sometimes checks up on you to see how you’ve adapted to your new life and your job he helped you to get. Somewhere in between all the time he spent with you, the Senju got attached, obsessed even. You have a very different mindset due to your experiences, conversations with you are always interesting and it’s admirable how you do your best despite the horrible events you had to endure. You creep slowly into his heart.

🌊I feel like he’d be more protective than he’d be possessive as long as everything goes well because even if you are nonchalant about your death, he isn’t. Tobirama worries that you’ll just accept another death if you somehow end up in another unfortunate situation in his world and it isn’t until you admit that you by now can’t die by any normal means anymore that he gets surprised. It doesn’t really change anything, your whole indifference about your death bothers him since he has lost people precious to him. Especially if he has already lost his brother by that point, he would cling especially much to you. He is a lot more gentle though considering that he takes it heavily to heart that you suffered and died enough already.

Minato Namikaze & Kushina Uzumaki

⚡️🌶It isn’t like Minato isn’t at least a bit warily when he receives word that someone was found lurking near the village. But he just takes pity when he sees you for the first time. Lonely, disheveled and utterly confused. He’s perceptive so when he questions you, he doesn’t get the feeling that you have any bad intentions. Instead you don’t even seem to know where you where, the word Konoha or ninja are foreign to you and it is at the very latest when you can’t even name a country he knows of from which you are that he starts feeling that you’re from somewhere else completely. He’s friendly, maybe that is why you tell him your story which rises doubts though he can’t sense anything from you that hints that you’re lying.

⚡️🌶The Yamanaka Clan is probably involved once again and when they confirm your story, he’s bothered by the nightmare you went through for so long and his wife notices. Kushina is persistent and both have each other’s trust so he lets her in on your case. She’s visibly shocked to hear from your life as well and for some reason is determined to help. You went through absolute hell and even if you seem to cope with it by being indifferent, the woman has made up her mind to enable you to live a happy life now. She forces Minato to see you and get to know you and she pretty much takes charge in helping you to settle down in her village and helps you searching for a good job. Minato planned on helping you anyways but he really loves Kushina for her beautiful heart.

⚡️🌶Kushina is adamant on becoming your friend and help you to move on and feel finally happy again. She visits you together with her husband, eagerly shows you around and often invites you over to eat with them. Neither of them forces you to talk about your past unless you decide to open up to them which you do more frequently the more you learn to trust them. They’re more distraught than you are, Kushina always the first to soothe you with Minato joining shortly after. With all the time they spend with you it is no wonder that platonic love slowly started to evolve into the romantic kind and both are relieved and happy when noticing that the interest in you is mutual. Both of them would have felt terrible about themselves otherwise.

⚡️🌶They pursue you together and both are absolute sweethearts. The couple is eager to completely help you forget about your horrible experiences and that is why each and every sincere smile from your side is so incredibly precious. Both concern themselves with your sheer nonchalance about the topic of your own death though, especially since you know that you can’t die by any normal means. Sakura has a sharp mind herself, she sees that something seems to keep her teacher busier and more stressed than normally, knows to shut up if Tsunade reacts a bit more short-tempered. It just happens one day where she gets summoned to meet with her master and upon entering the office she instantly notices the new face besides Tsunade and Shizune. Her master lets her then in one the top secret after letting Sakura swear on her honor as her student that she won’t tell anyone. You’re about her age and she wants Sakura to be someone you can seek out if you need help.

🌸The news leave her a bit in shock, especially the aspect that you can’t die by normal means anymore after having died about a hundred times already in another world. Nevertheless Sakura takes this responsibility since she’s honored that Tsunade trusts her that much and also because she’s a nice person who feels sympathy for you. She shows you around the village and to your new house, waves you goodbye and emphasizes that you can come to her anytime you need something. She’s later that day summoned once again to Tsunade’s office, something she was hoping for because she wanted to ask for more details. As a medic your mental state especially interests you and Tsunade answers as much questions as she can from where you came from and what your current condition is.

🌸Given the fact that the Hokage is a medic and both of her closest assistants are medics as well, the s/o will wind up in therapy sessions with one of them, most likely Shizune or Sakura since Tsunade is often busy with work though she tries to use you sometimes as an excuse to escape the council. She does understand that your indifference about your deaths are just a way for you to cope but doesn’t want you to stop caring about dying again in her world due to your special immunity.

When he finds out that they’re homeless and can’t use chakra, he instantly wants to offer them to stay in the village but that is when the council protests. They don’t know anything about you and they can’t be sure whether or not you plan something. So Naruto ends up questioning you for a bit of information about you only to have you telling him in the most normal tone about your adventurous and deadly life so far. Even Naruto doesn’t know instantly what he can say.

🍜💘He isn’t fond of the idea of letting someone into your head yet the council insists and you are completely fine with it as well, claiming to have experienced worse. The true commotion starts once Ino confirms what you’ve told him because suddenly the council wants to interrogate you more which ends in Naruto shielding you and defending you. You went through enough already, you deserve a relatively normal life for once. You are quickly given a house and he invites you soon after to dinner with his wife who he has given a rough idea of who you are, she gets to know every detail from him and you later on and nearly drops her food in horror. She’s instantly on the same train as Naruto, wants to help you to recover as good as possible.

🍜💘Both are really sweet because they alway check on you and invite you over so you don’t have to feel so lonely. Hinata often comes over to help you to clean your apartment and buy with you things you need whilst Naruto, excited to introduce you to this new world, often drags you and Hinata to places to show you and also ends up showing you what chakra is and what you can do with it. Both also invite you almost every day over to eat with them and even when Naruto is busy with work, Hinata wants you to come over. Honestly, both aren’t taking a long time before they start gaining this obsessive infatuation with you. Hinata starts becoming significantly shyer around you and Naruto more handsy and both also grow so clingy.

🍜💘They talk it out quite quickly and are very open about it to you as well. Now, they might rush things a bit since Naruto wants you to move in with them fast. Hinata at least is more patient though she is clingy herself so she wants you a big part of the day in the house together with her and Naruto. Please don’t even attempt to describe you how you died one of your many deaths, she’ll probably faint out of shock. Both grow overbearing because of your gruesome and violent past and because you lost everyone you knew, especially Naruto’s paranoia is fueled which can complicate life a bit if it wouldn’t be for Hinata calming him down a bit. They end up smothering you in affection with Naruto being the bolder one.

It’s not really what Hagoromo gave, but how it manifested within them that caused the ‘power-up’-specifics and what it was meant to do. The yin/yang sun/moon marks faded after they sealed miss alien and appeared again on Hagoromo. Therefore, they lose that... and then the difference is seen during VotE2.... sorta. But what it is exactly and what it means... beats me.... Hmm’ badly. It is confusing because Naruto still has a piece of all the TB’s within him so where exactly is the border anyway? And yeah, there's the elemental aspect of it too... In ‘the Last’ they retconned canon to oblivion for miss princess’ sake, Naruto can still fly and in Boruto Manga, Naruto uses power that was only possible because of Hagoromo to fight the aliens... at least according to fans, but idk. So...

Most discussions I've read quote the Naru-wiki, which partially relies on the databooks and filler material. A lot of info on power had to be filled in afterward to complete character sheets since most of the exposition is weaved through the story in snippets and often leaves a lot of room for inconsistency and interpretation. With that comes a lot of guesswork. Articles and books mention many things that were never even in the manga, and they add element natures to characters just because some novel said so (like Sakura using fire...). And if anyone can learn the basics from any element (like all Shinobi learning/using a simple earth-based Jutsu out of nowhere) then what does it even mean and why does your affinity matter then? Some commentary, both in the databooks and anime, is subjective and not particularly well-thought-out either.

There's also the anime where fillers make statements about kekei-genkai, Jutsu affinities, and elemental natures that often contradict each other, not to mention variables that aren't adequately covered. On top of all that, SJ actually made some articles about the yin/yang Six Paths' power, yet none of that info was ever stated in the story.

On one hand this makes sense... I’m glad we aren't infodumped during the story because that gets boring quickly and imo it takes away some of the fantasy aspects. We don’t need to know exactly how everything works in fiction, but on the other hand... this makes me wanna rip my hair out!

I've been having thoughts.

I think Kakashi Hatake and Shota Aizawa would be good friends. They have similar attitudes and their vibes are so chill...until they get pissed off, that is.

So. What if the different lands of Naruto were islands in MHA that were a little old school and very picky about their visitors? They give stealth ninja-like training to their up and coming heroes because it's a little more hardcore out there. And, multiple quirks? That's pretty normal for them. Especially for the clans trying to breed the perfect heirs to make the perfect hero who will become the Kage of their village...or as close to it as they can get. Or for clans looking to steal the quirks of others to strengthen themselves. Most of the latter are trying to take over the forbidden islands...and acquire the exceptionally rare 'tailed' quirks. The Tailed Beasts, of course. Be it man-made quirk for destruction gone awry or agitated quirk that chooses its owner or can be forced therein, they are highly sought after for their power.

Cue Orochimaru infiltrating the first round of physical hero exams and the arrival of the Akatsuki. The elder heroes grow concerned for their up and coming children...and at the fact that Naruto holds a covered tailed quirk. They don't have enough security measures in place to keep everyone looked after and safe. So...they reach out to UA for aid. And they gladly offer to help, building onto their school grounds to accommodate their newest members. Twenty seven students, roughly, come from each school and three to five teachers each, depending on the availability of heroes they can spare. From Konoha: Kakashi, Asuma, Kurenai, and Gai come along.

A bit of chaos ensues when they first come together, some schools more friendly than others. Gaara is in a transition point, thanks to Naruto, as is Neji. But both are still less than approachable. But I think Kakashi and Aizawa would kind of become fast friends. And Gai and Mic. They share the same vibes and try to pull their less enthusiastic friends from their shells.

I'm a big Hinata stan and I hate that she ended up with Naruto. I think she would become fast friends with a lot of Aizawa's class. She'd like drinking expensive teas with Momo-it would remind her of being in the Hyuuga compound where tea like that was the norm. And Bakugo, as abrasive (said in the most loving way possible) as he can be, reminds her a little of Kiba and Shino put together. Kiba for his speech, and Shino for his pin-point accuracy in topics and critiques. He takes no shit and helps push her beyond her limits. ("DON'T you fuckin' PUSSY OUT on me!! You got multiple quirks- USE 'EM! Better not go fuckin' easy on me, or I'LL KILL YA!" His trademark smirk is slowly matched by a nod and encouraged, determined look from Hinata. "Right!") He probably wouldn't mind her around his friend group, either, since she's pretty quiet and brings a serene vibe. Deku would probably constantly be studying her quirks, along with the others. But I'd probably match her with Shinso, if not Shino. I've been a big Shino/Hina fan for years, but I think Shinso and Hinata could hit it off well, too. They're both misunderstood for their quirks, kind of shunned for them, in ways. So they would understand each other pretty well. Hiashi probably wouldn't approve in the beginning- on either count- but there are ways of changing his mind.

Also, I think Sasuke and Naruto would hit it off with Deku and Bakugo. They could do double dates if they ever got over themselves and their own stumbling emotions for one another. (Sasu/Naru, Deku/Baku.) Sakura and Ochako might hit it off. Hinata and Mezou, Shino and Tokoyami, Kiba and Lee with Eijirou and Kami, Ino and Momo and Kyoka, Mina and Lee, Neji and Tenya and Shoto...and so many more. I'm not limiting the friends here, just suggesting some good friend partner-ups. And this was only Konoha rookie nine plus three in the older group and the first/middle class of UA...that's not accounting for the other villages or upperclassmen. I think Gaara would have a hard time with everything and be kind of emotionally stunted like Shoto. They might make a good friend pair, especially considering they were both betrayed by their dads. Lots of bonding angst there.

But, like...yeah. I think this could be a very fun crossover fic premise. Maybe even partner up villains from both and cause some havoc. What do y'all think? 🥺😁 Ideas free to use~ Hit me up if you use them. I'm a thirsty bitch for this kind of content.

5, but only 2 of them sapphicly. the first was ... like almost a year? but she was dating some other girls and it became extremely obvious im not capable of being involved with polyamory, so we went back to being just friends. she's still my best friend by far and im really glad we managed to maintain that. old emily would not have been able to do that. the second was a girl i was raiding with. it was really fun teasing her during raids but when we tried actually dating, she got way less teasable and the relationship felt really like..... neurotypical, or straight, or something. between that and our incompatible sense of conversation, i couldnt take it anymore so we broke up after like a month or two. we're still good friends, but the distance between us is kinda necessary.

Wildly different teaching styles that somehow mesh. Kakashi is more “give them the information and let them gnaw at it until they get it.” Genma is full dad with all the head pats and “good jobs” that doesn’t quite hide the fact that he is an absolute fucking monster hell bent on making all three of his adorable baby genin into monsters as well. More than once the kids are carried home by one or both of them (or clones) because they absolutely exhausted themselves. Lots of team dinners and trust building.

Ghosts and Greenery

All the ninken can see the ghosts and are side eyeing/getting bribed into silence by Naruto constantly. Kiba can sometimes hear/sense the ghosts eventually confronts Naruto who folds immediately and confesses everything. Tbh pretty instant bros. This only increases Sakumo’s insistence that Kiba is the perfect partner for Naruto (until Sasuke activates his sharingan and sees them all. Look they’re used to hiding from kakashi when he lifts the headband not the spontaneous activation of this child’s eyes out of nowhere).

Kakashi’s pack also act more as teachers in this because they’re helping train Akamaru just as much as they’re training the kids. Dog jokes constantly. Poor Sasuke is the lone cat in a pack of canines. He will never recover.

Do you think Sakura Haruno is a good character?

I don't know if you came here knowing of my fanfic Chase the Wind, but I wanted to answer in terms of that because what I'm writing is also sort of an answer to this question.

In short, I think Sakura is much like Kairi, in that her character could have been amazing, but was squandered.

I think I've only ever seen one other person mention this, but they, like myself, noted that Sakura should never have become a Tsunade Mini-Me. She already had skills that had been mentioned - chakra control, sure, but also genjutsu. You know, that thing that Kishimoto kind of ignored throughout the entirety of Shippuden? To the point where even Itachi's genjutsu got switched out for a bird that does arguably nothing and the Uchiha moveset of 'eye powers = Japanese gods = Deus Ex Machina ability' things.

So unsurprisingly, Sakura loses her genjutsu abilities, as well. Even though they could have been awesome.

No, seriously. Imagine Sakura just disappearing from in front of an enemy, only to show up behind them. Or perhaps giving Sasori a vision of his body being broken apart, or perhaps having a flesh body again, and he thinks he feels the agony of flesh and blood again. Imagine her using the opportunity to make him think the poison he'd used on Kankurou was in his system, suddenly, too. Awesome mix of medical knowledge and the fear genjutsu can create.

I'll also take a little bit from what that other person said, since they put it fairly eloquently at the end: Sakura's ability to heal was squandered the instant she started using it on herself and not on others.

Let me just say that, with that seal on her forehead, Sakura could have saved Neji.

He had enough time to leave some last words, which means Sakura could have healed him.

Unfortunately, she was too busy using the seal for herself so she could fight on the front lines. What a horrible, unnecessary waste. That directly led to the death of a friend.

In the end, the person who healed and energized everyone on that last battlefield so they could continue fighting wasn't Sakura, our resident healer, but Naruto. What?

But honestly, I really liked where Sakura could have gone. I loved that she wanted to be a healer, that she wanted to learn to protect the two guys on her team whose backs she'd always been forced to look at. I wanted so much more from her moment in the chuunin exams than what we got. In the end, she was rescued, anyway, despite that huge moment of determination!! So I'll admit that I loved that determination and hated how Kishimoto concluded it.

But when she spoke with Naruto after Sasuke left, and then when she chose to become a medic nin, I was super pumped! I really wanted to see what she did and who she became.

Only to find that she'd become a Tsunade Mini-Me. Even though she showed zero previous martial ability. Even though being able to punch things has nothing to do with either chakra control or genjutsu. Even though Kishimoto's idea that a medic nin with the Yin Seal was strong only based on their chakra control, which felt so much like a cop-out homage to Sakura's previous gifts that I scoffed.

And then Sakura's growth when it comes to men, though it hadn't fully matured and I'm not a Naru//Saku fan but I could at least see how the romance could become good... all of that got squandered, too, and she wound up with Sasuke despite him never showing any interest in her.

I just. Don't get it?

Like? Again, I'm not a Naru//Saku fan. Never have been. But while Naruto's opinions of Sakura never really changed or matured, I loved her maturation into understanding and accepting Naruto. (I really wanted that understanding to mature into a greater acceptance [which it did], and for Naruto to see how Sakura had changed and matured, too, because that kind of friendship is my JAM. Hence why I never became a Naru//Saku fan; I just wanted them to be the best of homies.) I loved how she dealt with Sai, and how she was willing to kill Sasuke because she'd lost so much faith in him and she'd come to consider him an enemy. I loved that!! Even if she eventually came to accept him later, it was such a big deal to me that she lost that hero worship.

Only. For some reason. It came back.

Anyway, since this has gotten too long, I would like to again reiterate that I adore who Sakura could have been, who she almost was. But I don't like the character Kishimoto wrote much, no. Hence why I changed so many things in my fanfic.
