we can not afford any of our basic needs

i usually try to keep this as light as possible, but i have put this off for long enough that i have to post this. me and my partner desperately need help. we are just two gay people trying to make it alone here with absolutely no support system. *remaking because the first post died

who we are: im j (or jet), im 24 year old trans guy whose had this account since 2014. i married my partner in 2018, we even met on tumblr when we were younger, we've been together for years. my partner is disabled (diagnosed with autism and seizure disorder and others)

what we need: basic needs, help with vet care, dental emergency assistance and general support. our cat had an emergency surgery two years ago that means he needs to be on a prescription diet (hills urinary food) for his entire life. the vet suddenly said we need to bring him in again to get his prescription renewed and we cant order any more food for him until then, which he will not survive without, and he is not allowed to eat any alternative food without risking his life. we have less than half of a 8 lb bag of it which will not last him through the next month. with the vet, food, and ubers to get to the vet and to the only place they sell the food = 200

to try to summarize our situation, we were kicked out by family and made officially homeless for the first time last year. this is right after we moved across states (wa to az) to support my partners family upon their request, only to be subjected to abuse and kicked out directly due to homophobia in an unfamiliar state after a few months. this left both of us and all of our animals entirely homeless. we luckily have an apartment now but our situation isnt stable. we lost all of our belongings at this time, everything we had built, and have not been able to replace them as we have very fixed income. my partner is especially affected by this situation, as it was traumatizing, and they have just had to power through trauma after trauma because of poverty, more than i can say.

i also have severe and painful dental problems that are not covered by medicaid in az and i have no way to afford. this includes wisdom teeth, root canals, and many cavities that will turn into that crazy expensive treatment if i don't fix it. some may remember my post about this (+this) showing the work i need. i cant keep ignoring it, because they are worried about two of the cavities becoming root canals, and i want to prevent another infection, but thats at least 250 each i also lost a cap and need to replace it to save the tooth, but that's at least 600.

we are still not going to be able to afford rent in future months because our EBT was delayed last month and i had to spend money we don't have, and without student loan forgiveness, my partner will not have loans anymore so we are in serious jeopardy even affording rent, let alone bills. our pets (2 cats 1 small dog) also desperately need vaccinations, which is dangerous to keep going this overdue without with their health problems. our dog has also been limping for the past week and he needs to be seen when that is ever possible, at least 65 plus ubers.

any donations would go first to the vet appointment and cat food, then the other needs in order of priority. will keep updating this, i know its a lot and i really don't expect anything as i know it's well over 1000 for it all, i am begging for help with any of this.

we are both students, we are trying to work towards stability, while being stuck here. i do everything i can to bring in money to support us on my own. we make 200 less than rent is monthly. i am in school to become a caseworker so i am aware of a lot of resources in my area, and have applied for everything, but we can not do this alone which is why i have to ask for help. i am so sorry for having to do this but i appreciate any support that i do have because of this website. you guys literally save my life. helping out other poor people and getting helped out on here has been the most compassion ive ever been a part of. dollars, even pennies, worth of donations has kept my cat safe, has affected me in real ways. it actually matters to us, no matter the amount.

i've been playing the sims again, this time doing a mini challenge i made for myself.

my sim, misery, she lives up to her name. she's in her room, paranoid and gloomy with nothing but 150 simoleons and a completely empty apartment to her name. she must somehow gain enough money to pay rent and keep herself alive.

on the first day, i made her take increasingly deranged photos of her and her dark and desolate room for a bit of change enough for a pizza and a shitty bed and a debug toilet. my arms was tired by the end of it just from taking pictures. she was so poor she cant afford a stove. she had to force herself to eat spoiled pizza. she spend a day and a half completely filthy until we could scrounge up enough pennies for a shower. And then i began to look for jobs that might fit her disposition. at first she got a job as a critic, that is to be a hater online. but she soon quits after her second day when i found out she has to review street performances and have a computer. there are zero jobs that allow her to stay inside without visiting any venue or talking to people.

we did have enough cash collected for an easel, and some of the dust bunnies gave her random fruits to eat. the next few days, misery did non-stop painting, enough for a fridge to keep her food from spoiling and a computer set. i then made her apply for a job as a painter, but turns out you have to leave the house for that so i made her ran away from her office in the middle of the workday and was immediately fired.

she's now painting her way to freedom. the money we saved is enough to pay the rent, but our situation is still very precarious. an emergency like a fine or a fire or a is still disastrous despite us frantically working every day. misery also gets burnout. to combat the burnout, i made her read books and spend time on the computer to play video games. she likes it, but i do notice her propensity to autonomously change passwords and troll people in forums. she's slowly gaining fame and notoriety as that hikikomori painter who did photography projects of her creepy apartment that she cant leave. so, she have been getting offers to make endorsement vids and ragebait to promote products off her socials. she cant make it though, because we cant afford the video mixing station. one time several people broke into her place. i make her fight them all before telling them to go away. her reputation is in the red.

so thats my girl, misery. she's internet famous but hated by her neighbors and randos, she's burned out but she's one financial emergency away from eviction so she has to work no matter what, she doesn't want to go outside, and she sells pics of herself that are undervalued and underappreciated just so she could afford to eat. her eyebags got eyebags. she's a brilliant artist, but she can never keep any decoration in her house because she cant afford art despite producing three paintings every single day. they are tempting her to become an angry influencer and a lolcow just so she can have enough money to survive. her room is filthy and she fucking stinks. all she do is make art for other people, spend time on the computer, and sleep. she has level 3 mischief purely from autonomous trolling. misery grew so jaded one of her traits got replaced with the mean trait. And she's my favorite. I swear girl, by the end of the year i will make you a comfortable, fancy home and a group of friends who accepts you for who you are. you will end this life happy and in love with the sun and the outside world!!!!!

I'm Trying

So, given the posts leading up to this, I felt it was time to clarify what I am trying to do. First of all, we need to get a substance abuse counselor/advocate placed in the hospital 24/7. It needs to be 24/7 for those coming into the ER, as most of them do due to having no insurance. Yes, a lot of times it is their desperate attempt to get medication. It is also their desperate attempt to get help, be seen, and, I know-big shocker-get treatment. Now, I know all too well that as a health care worker, you cannot give an addict certain meds. I also know that they can be rather aggravating & persistant (but so can most people in the ER). Now, despite the whole everyone must be seen in an emergency room, regardless of whether they can pay or not, it does not mean they have to be treated for anything other than emergency care. In other words, we are fighting against each other on this. The addict waits to come in to the ER because they can't be turned away. The hospital staff then charges them an ER visit & refers them to a psychiatrist or counselor-knowing damn well that solves nothing & they cant afford to even go...but it covers their "care".

So, neither party benefits from this encounter. It makes healthcare workers even more hardened at the sight of the addict & it makes the addict more avoidant of healthcare-and seeking relief (drugs) elsewhere. And when I say that, that is regardless of if drugs were the reason for the visit at all, because even if not, they cannot go to the psych or counselor so they basically have to self medicate regardless.

So, we need an advocate on site so that instead of telling the addict "We can't help, you need to make an appointment with___", we can send in the advocate who will make the appointment, or get them to a shelter, or a recovery home. We need to get them help when they are ready-not turn them away to deal with it on their own & expect them to come back again at our convenience.

We need the advocate their to help the addict stand up for themselves & make sure they are getting the treatment they can-in other words, if there is something wrong that they would typically be treated for (especially with meds) to explain to the addict what meds they can or cant be given & work out a solution.

Bottom line is we need to remember that an addict is still a human. They still have medical problems, pain, and need to be treated as such.

That said, I also want to make sure the chemical dependency of a child law, the one some states are using to remove newborns from their parents, is more strictly regulated. First of all, PHI is private. Anyone who is not on the list to receive this information has to have a warrant for it, so how is this legal to begin with?! Fathers, or other family members cannot be charged with chemical dependency of a child. Therefore, any family member in that room or that the mother or father says can get the baby, should be called to get the baby-period. Given the fact that DHR (or DHHS, or whatever the entity is in your state) is already "so overwhelmed" that this should definitely not be added to their plate. This is a hospital. There should be staff there to deal with this situation-preferably part of the substance abuse team we need to get placed in hospitals.

The drug testing of the newborns & mothers has either got to be ALL mothers or none. There should be no discriminatory process in which they test. Treatment should be the result of a positive test-not taking the baby away. That said, testing should be done at prenatal appointments so that both mother & baby have the best chances of cleaning up. We need to quit threatening & actually taking peoples babies away from them and start helping them. Trust me-those who do not want to get clean, will gladly make plans for their kids to be placed with another family immediately (which also helps baby & saves DHR a ton of work).

Addiction, drug use & abuse are so prevalent. We have got to start helping change the way we handle both addiction & the addicts. That is what I am trying to do. If you can think of anything else that might help, please do not hesitate to throw it my way. I am open to anything that might help!

Nearly 30% of Pet Owners Can't Afford Their Pets Amid Inflation

As prices soar amid inflation, LendingTree found that pet owners are seeing increased pricing on key pet-related expenses

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 15, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — LendingTree®, the nation’s leading online financial services marketplace, released its survey finding that more than 75% of pet owners say inflation is making pet ownership more expensive, and 26% are struggling to afford the four-legged members of their family. 87% of pet owners say they’ve experienced increased pricing on key pet-related expenses, especially pet food (74%) and veterinary services (33%). This increase in cost has forced pet owners to make financial sacrifices for their pets, with nearly 1 in 4 (23%) having taken on debt for their furry friends and some even limiting their retirement savings contributions (10%).

Key findings

More than 75% of pet owners say inflation is making pet ownership more expensive, and 26% are struggling to afford the rising costs. By generation, millennials (32%) are most likely to say they’re having trouble paying for pet expenses amid inflation.

Overall, 87% of pet owners say they’ve experienced increased pricing on key expenses, especially pet food (74%) and veterinary services (33%).

Inflation is causing consumers to tighten their pet care budgets. While pet owners reported spending an average of $1,163 annually on their pets in a 2021 LendingTree survey, in 2022, owners say they’re spending just $984 per year — a nearly $180 difference.

44% of pet owners are making financial sacrifices for their pets. Nearly 1 in 4 (23%) have taken on debt for their furry friends. Pet owners are also spending less on themselves (18%), and some are even limiting their retirement savings contributions (10%).

30% of owners who’ve been in pet-related debt have owed $1,000 or more. Of the 6% who currently have pet-related debt, nearly 24% currently owe $1,000 or more, though the majority of indebted owners (25%) owe between $300 to $499.

LendingTree’s Chief Credit Analyst, Matt Schulz, had this to add:   “Our pets are family, and we often have to make sacrifices for those we love. With pet ownership getting more expensive by the day, many Americans find themselves having to do just that. The best place to start is by carving out space in your budget for pet expenses and even a pet emergency fund, if possible. That way, the next big unexpected expense for your furry friend won’t automatically send you into debt.”

update: i have a roof over my head thank god, im just working towards being able to take care of long overdue medical debt so that i can hopefully see a doctor and get at least some part of my health looked at as a start!

this is really hard for me to do, but i cant afford to stay at my apartment any longer and staying here has tapped out my savings. my medical bills have been on the backburner so i can keep a roof over my head which is coming to rightfully bite me in the ass, and i havent been able to afford to go see any doctor for my declining health, not even have a chance to call my heart surgeon because of my debts.

Ok since body dysmorphia has been kicking my butt lately i wanted to request something with Schlatt where basically the reader Starts getting really insecure because of their body. Pushing and pulling on their stomach etc. They also start binding unsafely with like really tight bras because they can't afford a binder and they end up fucking up their ribs really bad. They end up in the hospital and a very worried Schlatt visit's them and lectures them about how they shouldn't have done that and about how worried he was. So when they get back home there is a gift on the bed, turns out Schlatt bought them a binder.

I know hating your body sucks but I dont want anyone to get hurt because they dont listen to their lungs, they dont take off their binder, or if their bras are way too fucking tight. It can and will hurt you. So please bind safely!!

Happy birth-what the fuck?!

Lately your brain was giving you more dysphoria then ever. Telling you your body was too big, your boobs were too noticable, and you hips are too feminine.

What brought this on? Someone simply said your dead name. It made your dysphoria hit you like a truck.

After that day everything went down hill. Your stopped streaming, telling your followers that you were going on a mental break, you didn't really talk to friends, your brain could put words together. And you most importantly barely texted your loving supporting boyfriend schaltt, not wanting to break down in front of him.

You never had the time or thoughts of getting a chest binder. It was your biggest mistake honestly.

Deciding against chest binders and wearing alot of tight bras to flatten you. But it didnt work. So you got tighter bras. And they did work. But you didnt read up on how to bind safely.

This lead to the predicament now. In front of your mirror you were pinching and pulling at your skin. There was too much. All you wanted to do was cut it off with scissors. But decided against it due to the fact of all the blood that you would loose.

Your chest, smaller then it was yas, was still visible after your 3rd bra. You decided to add a 4th and tighter one hoping it would completely hide your boobs.

Your body made you want to puke. It made you feel disgusting. But you never told schaltt that. Afraid that he would say that you looked as gross as you thought you did.

Only 5 minutes after the 4th bra you felt excoriating pain in your ribs. And worse of all a harsh pop. That immediately brought red flags. It hurt to breath. Your head fuzzy and light headed.

Your only reaction, to call for an ambulance. Dialing the three numbers as you whimpered in pain you held onto your lungs. "911 what's your emergency?" "I cant breathe. It hurts so bad. Please help." "Are you by yourself?" "Yes. I need help please." "Ambulance, firemen, and police are on their way. Ambulance is 2 minutes out."

You didnt know if you had 2 minutes. "They can break the door down if I dont answer." That's all you said after collapsing.

Next thing you knew your door was busted off its hinges and you saw two paramedics. They were quick to transfer you to the ambulance, cutting through the four bras that held your chest.

It help get air to your lungs but it barely helped.

"We have a collapsed lung. ETA 2 minutes." The paramedic back there with you spoke to the walkie talkie.

Collapsed lung? Was that the harsh pop? God, was the bras that bad of an idea? All that was going through your mind was how you possibly could get worse. The instant you got into the trauma bay was way worse. With no time to numb you and your O2 stats dropping they had to cut between your ribs and shove a tube right next to your left lung. Draining air and excess blood blocking your lung from inflating. And before you knew it you were off to emergency surgery for getting a shard of bone out of your chest cavity.

The last thing you remember was counting down and falling asleep.

When you woke up your boyfriend was next to your bed, hands engulfing one of yours.

It looked like he had been crying before falling asleep on one of your legs. Taking your free hand through his hair you smiled lightly. "I'm sorry for all of this ram boy." He grunted lightly and moved his head back into your hand. His messy hair was thick and nearly matted. It made you wonder how long he's been sitting there. You loved him and felt so selfish for doing this to him.

"I cant believe I did all this and for what? To cause you and everyone pain? All because i couldnt afford a chest binder and deciding that I might as well try another way. I should have been safer huh?" You didnt expect an answer back. Just his quite snores.

"Yeah. Not really fuckin selfish more like kinda dumb. Your body doesnt show who the fuck you are (y/n). Your heart does. And your heart isnt say boy or girl. Its saying you are you. A person who uses pronouns they them. A person that love everyone and cares for their friends. A person who love me and jambo so deeply."

He took a breath.

"You normally are quite smart. Saving up for one would of been a better idea instead of doing such a stupid thing. Asking for my help. Because if I knew I would of helped. I would of found one just right for you. I would help you remember to take it off after 8 hours. Even would of found a way to make you feel more like you."

You could hear his heart break.

"But now you're here, four broken ribs, a healing lung, and stuck in the hospital for another week at least."

You felt so guilty. He was right. You should of told him. He would never have seen you like you saw yourself. He never cared about how you looked. He only cared for your heart.

Tears falling down your face you continued to massage his scalp. "I could of lost you. You are my rock. When I cant keep up my normal antics and feel like I'm at an all time low. You are there to pick me up." You had to stop the sob from coming up. "I'm just so happy youre alive." He looked up.

His red eyes were making your heart ache. "I wont do it again I promise. But I cant just ignore the feeling of dread whe. I look down and realize I present so much like a girl. I dont wa t to be one." Schaltt nodded and kissed the hand he was holding. "Then let me help you. I wont let this happen again. Just please. Come to me. Talk to me. I'm here like you are for me."

You gave a small nod.

This man knew his way to your heart. He was so sincere about this. "I will. But promise me you wont look down on me if I end up feeling like that." You just needed to make sure you knew he would never but you needed his words. "Mever sugarbabe. Never in my life have I looked down on you and never will."

God the week was long, him and the doctor explaining safe binding that you cant fully bind for at least 6-8 weeks. Schlatt telling you his reaction to finding your apartment swarmed with police and firemen and you no where to be seen.

He was practicing on saying happy birthday to you. But was cut off. "Happy birth-what the fuck?!" He was so concerned and even more so when you were in hospital.

When you did go home he helped you through the door, and watched you as you saw the small package on your couch.

Opening it you saw a chest binder. Specifically the one you were looking at. Looking over to schaltt with tears in your eyes you walked up and hugged him lightly minding the pain in your left side. This was the best gift.

The only gift you had been wanting for the past week or two. "Now you can be safe. But no binding till your doctor says so or I swear to god I will personally smite you down." You had to try so hard no to laugh or the pain would of been hell. Kissing his cheek you smiled.

"Of course schaltt. I will make sure to not wear it till I'm healed dont want to get blood on it ya know. Also it would hurt like a fucking bitch."

He chuckled and ruffled your hair. "Alright now go sit down. I'll get you some soup ya dork."

This was going to be a great time. That was until the pain fully came back. And then this is going to be a mediocre time.

hi i know i dont have tons of followers but im hoping i can get some circulation because my family is in some really dire circumstances rn.

ive always been against making donations posts because i always figured others had it worse than me, but now that theres children involved im desperate and im selling my own things/ working overtime just for cash. my moms wife, D, cheated on my mom with my moms boss after being married for 6 years with 2 kids, and up and left without trying to talk about it at all. After originally kicking us out, she realized she couldnt afford the house thats under her name alone, and let my mom and the kids and my nana live there temporarily. our name isnt on anything, and if my family gets kicked out again theyd be homeless. right now my older brother, my nana, and my two younger siblings- both elementary school children- are dependent on my mom. my mom recently lost her job because she couldnt work under her boss anymore and the entire work place was extremely bad for her mental health. D and her new GF then sent their work friend to go "spy" on my mom while she was out with her friends (D started doing coke again around last year so her behavior is erratic) and the guy who they sent physically assaulted my mom. my mom already has prexisting injuries on her back and a past broken wrist from a few different abusive exes she had years ago, AND on top of that just last year my mom got in a nearly fatal car accident that fucked up her back more, and the assault made these injuries incredibly worse.

my mom (pictured above) has been prescribed new medication, but no longer has insurance because she lost her job. she works retail now which is extremely taxing on her body. my mom lives in texas and has applied many times to state assistance programs but she keeps getting denied. The house isnt in my moms name, so she has no proof of address to allow her to get food from any nearby foodshelves. after the accident my mom has really bad fears of driving and cant drive long distance without her anxiety becoming debilitating.

my brother recently got sick and is getting tested again. my nana has social security but its only 900 a month, really only 700 after buying her meds. my mom and i are the only ones working.

below are the some of the bills my mom has to try to earn in one month on 11 dollars an hour

plus rent which is 1250 and her car insurance. currently they spend all money on bills and barely have food or hygienic products most of the time.

D  hasnt been very helpful during all this, as she expects my mom to pay  all the bills despite knowing my mom is solely responsible for the well  being of 5 other ppl rn, and despite the fact EVERYTHING is in Ds name.  unfortunately we cant really negotiate with her because she can just  kick us out and then we'd lose shelter.

TL;DR

to clarify, i live in minnesota rn, so im not asking money to help ME, but rather my immediate and closest family- 5 people, 2 children, one elderly. my moms mentally ill, has chronic pain and longlasting injuries mostly from past abusive relationships, recently got in a traumatic accident, then was assaulted by her wifes friend after her wife of 6 years suddenly left after her affair was exposed. she just got prescribed a bunch of new meds that she cant afford but needs in order to keep working, all the while needing to pay off all the bills which comes to a total of about 2,000. there are 5 people in the house- my mom, my nana, my brother and two children. they are all constantly at risk of homelessness, they barely have any food at the house, and because nothing is in there name they cant show proof of address which is required at all food shelves locally. my mom cant drive far because of her anxiety due to her past accident and shes the only licensed driver in the house.

right now ive stopped school completely to work full time at my current job in retail. im trying to find a new job that pays more so that we can start saving money so they can move somewhere affordable and no longer have to deal with D. ive been doing this since the beginning of 2020 and if youve been following me you know i also stopped my own HRT and meds just so my family can eat, which has basically fucked my mental health incredibly, as im already suicidal and have been on and off meds/therapy/inhospital since early highschool. i skip days without eating and only do it when i need to so that my family can have more money. basically, ive exhausted everything i can to help and its still not enough.

∆ please help us

we can not afford any of our basic needs

i usually try to keep this as light as possible, but i have put this off for long enough that i have to post this. me and my partner desperately need help. we are just two gay people trying to make it alone here with absolutely no support system.

who we are: im j (or jet), im 24 year old trans guy whose had this account since 2014. i married my partner in 2018, we even met on tumblr when we were younger, we've been together for years. my partner is disabled (diagnosed with autism and seizure disorder and others)

what we need: our cat had an emergency surgery two years ago that means he needs to be on a prescription diet (hills urinary food) for his entire life. the vet suddenly said we need to bring him in again to get his prescription renewed and we cant order any more food for him until then, which he will not survive without, and he is not allowed to eat any alternative food without risking his life. we have less than half of a 8 lb bag of it which will not last him through the next month. with the vet, food, and ubers to get to the vet and to the only place they sell the food = 200

to try to summarize our situation, we were kicked out by family and made officially homeless for the first time last year. this is right after we moved across states (wa to az) to support my partners family upon their request, only to be subjected to abuse and kicked out directly due to homophobia in an unfamiliar state after a few months. this left both of us and all of our animals entirely homeless. we luckily have an apartment now but our situation is still not okay. we lost all of our belongings at this time, everything, and have not been able to replace them as we have fixed income. my partner is especially affected by this situation, as it was traumatizing, and they have just had to power through trauma after trauma because of poverty, more than i can say.

i also have severe dental problems that are not covered by medicaid in az and i have no way to afford. this includes wisdom teeth, root canals, and many cavities that will turn into that crazy expensive treatment if i don't fix it. some may remember this (+this). i was only able to have a little bit of work done before we were homeless and one root canal failed. i cant keep ignoring it, because they are worried about two of the cavities becoming root canals, and i want to prevent another infection, but thats at least 250 each.

we are still not going to be able to afford rent in future months because our EBT was delayed last month and i had to spend money we don't have to afford anything, and now we are in serious jeopardy even affording rent, let alone bills. our pets (2 cats 1 small dog) also desperately need vaccinations, which is dangerous to keep going this overdue without with their health problems. our dog has also been limping for the past week and he needs to be seen when that is ever possible.

Hello, I wish I didn't have to do this but I have to. I'm a 20 yr old autistic lesbian and I got into some shit. I'm not sure how to word any of this, but...

I woke up today to find my bank account has been blocked. I'm not sure how to translate these things, some of them may be specific to Czech republic and I don't know the english terms, but basically I'm in debt because I got caught on public transport without a ticket ONCE when I was 15 years old and couldn't afford the transport ticket on my way from school. I know this is on me, but I completely forgot about it. I didn't receive any warnings or letters or calls - they always silently wait at least 5 years, with the debt getting bigger every day without your knowledge, and when youre an adult they come at you full force.

I don't know if this happens in other countries, but it's a staple batshit thing in my country everyone knows about. There's children hundreds of dollars in debt because of public transport, it happens so often, it's always in the news and stuff. It's revolting and now it happened to me.

My debt is 455 dollars, and they already seized all the money on my bank account, which left me with nothing, and I have to pay 234 more dollars. I'm devastated.

I have no means of getting this money right now. I'm currently finishing last year of school and I have to pass what I'll translate as big ass state exams in less than a month to graduate. I don't get paid until the 20th of this month, but I still need to pay rent and buy food until then, and the amount I'll get would just barely pay it off. Since my brother and I moved recently, we have no furniture either and I was saving up for necessary items, which is now gone. I also just got approved for disability pension, but they're still in the process of calculating the money they will give me, which usually isn't much, but it helps.

So, I need to pay off the debt and afford rent and food on top of that, so Im gonna try asking for donations. My mom said she's gonna help me a bit, but she is poor as well as it is, so I decided to try my luck here as well. As pretty much everyone on my friends list knows right now, I've been homeless with my family for seven months now. Back in the beginning of November we lost our home and have been bouncing around from hotel to hotel for a while now.

Things were good before the pandemic, we were managing and able to survive because my step-dad had a steady job and was making enough to cover the cheap cost of the hotel at the time.

After the pandemic hit we had to move to a different hotel, it costs us $80 a night if we can't find a cheaper listing on a different site. This past month is where things have gone horribly wrong.

While my step-dad was here his hours got cut to the point he was bringing in $150 a week, and was unable to get unemployment. I've been doing commissions for the past three months to get any extra money to cover the hotel and food - and just last week my step-dad left us and is wanting divorce.

As everyone knows my mom is disabled, she's got Parkinson's which is barely being managed by her medication, she shakes to the point she can hardly hold things now and stress puts her at risk of a deadly seizure; let alone another heart attack. I've filled out applications to anywhere near the hotel we are staying at to try and get a job, but with the pandemic and our closed state I'm having no luck so far.

12. Get It Done Before You Move In

8 Frosties!

So I haven’t updated in a while, I had my retrieval done on March 23rd.

I had:

20 Retrieved

14 Mature

11 Fertilized

8 Day 5/6 Blasts Frozen

Now just need this Covid19 to F off so I can get my transfer done!  I was suppose to have the fresh transfer but with all this going on it got moved to a freeze all cycle.  Shitty but I understand, the transfer will be discounted since its not what I had agreed to at the beginning, but I am so glad I had the retrieval done at least, I had 5 grand in injections and if it would have been postponed I would have lost all that money. 

An acquaintance of mine did IVF with a surrogate and she just announced that they are expecting twins and will reveal the surro when they find out the genders, but it made me so happy for her and even more excited for my transfer to happen!  They did 2 separate frozen transfers with 1 embryo each and they didn’t take, then they did their last transfer with their last 2 embryos and both took!  

On another note I left the one salon I was in, I had to leave because I would still have to pay $600 a month without making anything since I do personal services and we wont be able to work till June at the earliest.  Even with the CERB fund it wasnt enough to do, the owner verbally attacked me saying I was bailing on my rent and screwing her over and she bends over backwards for all of us and she would NEVER do that to someone, also went into the group chat with the other girls and said someone else was leaving and screwing her for rent and another room to fill and went on a huge rant.  It really triggered me the way she just attacked for no reason, I explained I financially could not afford to stay during this time and it was nothing personal but I couldn’t go into debt for the salon. 

We have NO contract so technically I didn’t have to give notice or pay last months rent (April) but I still am going to, just so she doesn’t have any right to bad mouth me about it.  I’m not the only one she has snapped on either one of the other girls asked if since we werent using the utilities if we could get a bit of a break on the rent instead of the whole amount and she snapped hard, another girl told us all she was on the phone with the emergency business line and they gave her some information and the owner blew up on her.  Like were all stressed but none of us are attacking except her.  She keeps saying she wants a positive environment for us to work in and we cant even say or ask anything without being scared of being attacked.  She kept saying why would I think rent would just disappear (never did) and nothings for free (wasnt expecting to pay nothing) and she isn’t a charity (never said she was).  She said how she is the one keeping the salon and the girls afloat...umm we can’t afford $600 a month without our regular income coming in, and what we dont pay gets tacked onto the next month so we could go back with like $1800 hanging over our heads.  I said I have no savings since it all went into IVF, i can’t deffer some of my things and I just cant justify the salon rent during this time so I have to leave.  She said “rent should be a priority, it’s your job”  um ya a job i cannot work because of a virus, its a pandemic none of us knew this would happen, everything is out of the norm.  I have a few different priorities right now so I had to drop that one.  Im just hurt and pissed she treated me like that, and brought it into the group chat for the other girls to be able to judge me, in person she pretends to be this great and supportive friend but then when i have to do something for myself she acts like that through text.
