Cryptid of the Day: Wamp

Description: A Wamp is a creature the size of a raccoon with a grey, bag-shaped body and a hollow tail with a salt shaker at the end of it. It goes around shaking salt onto trees, where deer will lick up the salt. So if you see a deer licking the ground, there might be a Wamp nearby.

Dreamlanders

A lot of the beings mentioned in the Dream Quest are barely described if they even get more than a name-drop. As I generally try to avoid Chaosium canon, that gave me a lot of freedom to do whatever I wanted.

The sniflunk is a particular case. It's almost entirely original, only known from the story by the mysterious webbed footprints surrounding Carter's exsanguinated riding zebra.

Jesse was rushijng over, with daggers in hand as he heard the commotion. He was rarely the quickest one to the scene anyway but that never stopped him from at least being prepared to fight. He could hear it all, the shouting from the intruder, the tearing of skin and sound of his... head being ripped clean off.

Thank gods he didn't end up making it any sooner though. The intrusion of fresh blood, and moreso the gruesome scene of the body on the ground before the other. Jesse lifted the back of his hand to his mouth and looked off to the side, as if he was trying to keep himself together. Now was not the time to get sick. If he was out with the others fighting maybe he would have been able to prepare himself for that... But this was their camp, they were supposed to be able to relax here.

"Hey- Hey it's okay- you saved everyone!" He said as soon as he realized the other was still worked up, he really didn't want to be on the wrong end of a raging barbarian. Jesse tentatively stepped closer, his daggers put away and reaching out towards him, cautious of getting within arms reach of him.

"Just take a deep breath with me...?" He asked, hopeful. Glancing over at the body again he dry-heaved, immediately regretting it. "-Or you wanna go outside camp and knock down a few trees? We could use some more firewood..."

Laure Enjolras has the soapbox today!

As a young girl, Laure's formative experiences revolved around tagging along with her father to his work at the Palais de Justice, and wanting to be just like him.

However when she is already a law student, she realizes that tagging along with her *mother* was just as important. Those times sitting up with the Societe des Femmes taught her that she could do anything. It taught her the importance of sisterhood (which is key to her and her best friend Marie-Fantine Pontmercy starting off their respective careers as a lawyer and a doctor). Changing her outlook also teaches her the importance of respecting choices. As a kid she didn't understand why her mother never fought harder to enroll in school or advance her education. But as an adult, Laure now realizes that her mother chose to play differently against the limitations of Parisian society then (1830s-1840s), in hopes of having a better hand for the younger generation to play in the 1850s onwards.

hey frens, how long does it usually take you to decorate your sims house, to your liking? I’m so impatient so I’ll just move my sims in a house and change around a few things but never really take the time to clutter things up and really personalize their space, which also leads me to boredom because I feel like there’s really no personality to the sim, you know what I mean? idk 🤷🏾‍♀️
