Don't apologize. I didn't bet my teenage years, twenties, and thirties on this just for an apology. You need to get punished. Criminal Punishment if God is on your side...and Divine Punishment if God is on my side.

The homoeroticism and overfamiliarity in The Glory is so deliberately rancid.
In the past, it was used by the bullies (and especially Park Yeon-jin) towards Dong-eun. Inviting themselves to her home (a place where she should be safe), saying her legs are pretty (before shoving an iron to them). Superficial compliments used as they steadily destroy her life.
For Dong-eun, love and hatred intermingle. They always have. Park Yeon-jin taught her that. Her own mother taught her that as she signed her away.
As Dong-eun plots her revenge, she speaks of longing for Park Yeon-jin. A burning desire to see her consumed in flames. And when she's face to face with the bullies, it's all "Yeon-jin ah" and "I'm glad you never changed". She turns it back on them. Smiles in their faces as they once did to her. Words of love soaked in an undeniable coat of hatred.

I really loved your post about Dib a while ago. People will act like he deserves his abuse because he's a little bit of a jerk and an attention whore sometimes, like??? He's a child, who isn't exactly surrounded by good role models, and yet still comes across as kinder than everyone around him, outside a couple of unhinged moments. And of course he's desperate for validation, I don't think a single positive word has been said to the poor kid his whole life. I just want to protect him and see him happy...
Yes, exactly!
Considering what his family, and the world the show takes place in, is like, he's doing pretty well for himself. His unhinged moments don't define him.

Lost Judgment having the boy who had been a horrible bully actually earnestly apologising for his actions and seeming genuinely remorseful without making the girl who he'd been bullying accept the apology and then following it up with Yagami saying she might very well /never/ forgive him for what he did but that acknowledging his shitty behaviour was a step in the right direction was really well done.

Message to my Stalkers
Dear stalkers, (Mary Cummins, Jeannie dusetzina, Robin Jasinski and Nathan Sokol)
I find it very sad that even as an adult you think it’s okay to bully and stalk someone. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I’m not under any false illusion that everyone is going to like me but you have no right to harass me as you’ve done over the past several years.
You’ve set up numerous false accounts, at least 1 in my name where you slate and destroy my character, you killed my cat, you stole my belongings, you sent me viruses, hacked me. Lied to have my ADHD meds discontinued, ect, ect, ect.
I’ve tried to ignore you but after years on this relentless campaign of harassment and intimidation it’s time to stand up to you. The sad thing is you’ll probably enjoy the attention which is why I haven’t mentioned your twitter name but I know you know who you are.
There is something fundamentally wrong with you if you have been blocked yet you continue to relentlessly tweet at the blocker. Shows you have very little self respect, dignity and intelligence. A normal person would have moved on. But obviously you are not normal. I suggest you stop using Social media as your “help in the community” crutch and seek professional help.
NOTE – Social Media advice is to block/ignore and they say that trolls will give up and go away. Not always the case. As for stalking, Social Media advises you to set your tweets to private. In another words, penalising the person being stalked while ignoring the stalker. Social media should stop turning a blind eye to such things and crack down on cyber bullies. Their non-action short of condones this kind of behavior. And victims should stop being punished.

The thing about TFA is that I think it’s a pretty good Transformers cartoon, it’s fun and has interesting spins on the usual premises of TF. But I honestly don’t think it’s as deep as a lot of the fandom likes to act as it is.
Like, sure, in the show we have a few glimpses of Cybertron under Autobot rule and get inklings that this isn’t a pure and wholesome society. Except we literally don’t get anything besides that-- glimpses. All of the backstory that actually reveals the ~problematic~ and ~revolutionary~ things of the TFA continuity takes place solely in extra materials. And even if you could convince me that this is a valid way of telling a story (spoilers: NO because I shouldn’t have to buy multiple separate pieces of merchandise, half of which is shown via Word of God/meta texts and not actual story content, to be able to understand a single story), it honestly doesn’t make a difference. None of the extra material that shows the dark/gritty parts of TFA shows up in the cartoon itself.
It doesn’t matter that the flying twins were experimented on while on the verge of death because they sure don’t act like it matters. It doesn’t matter that the Decepticons apparently used to be enslaved as war machines, because the show sure as hell doesn’t give them any deeper characterization than “we’re gonna take over Cybertron because we’re the Decepticons raaaaawwwwrrr!” And it doesn’t even matter that Optimus Prime, one of the main characters of the show, is literally a high-ranking military officer of a regime that brainwashes/experiments on civilians, because as far as the story is concerned his biggest problems are 1. Trying to get his crew to listen to him 2. Fighting Decepticons 3. Putting up with his annoying superiors after he got kicked out of the Elite Guard. (Note that just because he didn’t make it in the Elite Guard doesn’t mean he’s not still important: Prime is one of the highest ranks the military has, and Optimus was given freaking Omega Supreme, a top secret war weapon/artifact, as his ship.)
The story is trying to pose itself as something deeper and more serious, but ultimately fails because those deeper/serious things are barely covered in the show or delegated to side materials.
Am I saying TFA is a terrible show that has no good ideas at all? Am I saying that people who like TFA are dumb and should watch another show? Not at all. I’m just saying that I think the fandom opinions of TFA as a show honestly overhypes it compared to the actual content of the show itself. Forget about the dark and gritty backstory, the vast majority of TFA is spent on human villains and random skirmishes on Earth instead of the actual interesting part, the Autobot/Decepticon war and the state of Cybertron!
If you want a TF continuity that has great lore (and doesn’t require you to watch a cartoon, read a book, find a bunch of old interviews, read a comic, and listen to a script reading at a con), IDW1 and IDW2 are both right there waiting for you. Especially IDW2, which is written as a single continuous story and not as the chaotic decade-and-a-half long mess that is IDW1.
#squiggposting#also another reason i dont really like fanon views of tfa is that like#the content for MOP and especially OP himself is so meh#people seem to think OP is like a crybaby twink who's the victim of constant bullying#and M is the one who swoops in like a romantic novel love interest to save him#in other words not even the content made by people who like the characters/ship#is something i'm interested in at all#nor is it really in character for that matter#it just seems to me like the reason people like TFA is because the material is scattered enough that they can just#cobble together whatever headcanons they want and create the story that they want in their head#and the cartoon itself doesn't contradict them because the cartoon is just a simplistic good guys vs bad guys#with some hints at something deeper that never get explored#i know some people like the 'sandbox of headcanons' or whatever but like#if a piece of media doesn't have substance on its own#and isnt well crafted or coherent on my own#then why would i care about it enough to be interested#the cartoon can't even tell a story standing on its own so why should i have to do all the work of making the story work#there's a difference between leaving things to the imagination vs straight up leaving things out of the story#the difference between making inferences and theories that enrich the already existing story#versus the story itself being fragmented incomplete and tbh a little boring and you having to rewrite it in your mind to make it interesting#anyways that's my spiel for the day

someone: hi
me: did you know the narrative that school shooters in the US are all bullying victims is false and originates from inaccurate coverage of one of the most infamous school shootings, the columbine shooting? in reality the columbine shooters were reactionaries who isolated themselves deliberately and followed an ideology that positioned them "above" the rest. so, a lot of school shooters are actually ideologically motivated rather than revenge motivated. no one knows this and the media paints these murderers as victims. do you want to know what the columbine effect is? also I have a lot to say about "stranger danger" as a conservative fear campaign to promote the isolated nuclear family

These 3 girls monsters kidnapped, lured and tortured another school girl for shits and giggles.
Just because they're minors, doesn't give them the right to evade the law. And if the victim Kirra, doesn't get to be anonymous, then I refuse to protect the assailants identities.
These are their names:
Shanaya Grech
Chloe Denman
and
Rhynisha Grech.
(Notice how there's no pictures to accompany these names? That's because everyone seems dead set on protecting these criminals...)
These are the filthy, hatchet-faced bitches that lured Kirra to their house under the guise of having a sleepover. There, they would keep her hostage for hours, while they not only verbally, but physically attacked her as well... all while streaming the video of Kirra's torture online. Y'know... For shits and giggles. (+Clout!)
They assaulted and threatened her. And made death threats to both her and her family, if she didn't do every humiliating thing they asked of her... At some point, one of them even stabbed her.
Tumblr media
So let me ask you: why aren't they being held responsible for their actions? Punished for their crimes? Why is the system hellbent on protecting and coddling these spoiled fucked up bastards, and allowing them to hide behind anonymity, so they can further victimize and possibly kill some other kids in the foreseeable future? All while they blatantly reveal and expose the victims identity and endanger her safety? I'll tell you why: because society's mission is to serve, abade, and protect the PERPETUATORS. Not the victims.
But we as a public should not let it slide— so I urge YOU anonymous viewers... go and spread the word, blast the judicial system, ban/report their (the PERPETUATORS) personal pages and social medias, and take away their platforms, their anonymity, and their freedom to hurt and perpetuate heinous acts on ANYONE ELSE.
Because if these monsters are allowed to avoid adult consequences for this, we as a society, will send the message that this behavior is not only okay, but encouraged. And someone will end up irreparably damaged, or dead. And they will go on to do far far worse in the future.
As for my personal message to these girls? I hope that someone comes along and films all the worst things that could ever happen to them. I hope said person laughs and brags as they ignore their pleas, and cries. I hope they beat them, and prey on their worst insecurities while they do it...
I hope that person comes in the form of Karma, and she presents herself as a friend, only to reveal her true intentions.
Hell is a big place... and I'm sure they'll be going there in a fiery handbasket.
I stand with Kirra. And I stand with Justice and Karma.

Like i feel like i shoudnt be mad about writing in a pokemon game but like they keep writing things that are so close to like being good and getting me emotionally invested but refusing to like cross any meaningfull line and actively skirt around every real issue presented as causing conflict between characters to the point that it becomes so stilted that things just happen because they have to so you can get to the end of the game
And i feel like the dlc is such a big example of how the writing just refuses to engage with the why of character conflict with your character acting as a clueless intermediary to another characters jealousy and completely making kierans emotional issues kind of appear out of thin air when it felt like somone wanted to say something about how hes been treated by others + his family when that means painting other characters in a badlight which means the plot cant take that direction because problems can only be caused internally and not externally anyway
ive already talked about this to much but scarlet and violet piss me off so much for how there story is just like conflicts that refuse to engage with the real life problems that cause them in any meaningfull and usefull way which is an issue a lot of childrens media has skirting around serious topics instead of truthfully engaging with them in ways that might be beneficial for young audiences

Was there ever a news event in our lifetimes that the media fumbled more aggressively than Columbine. They genuinely got every single detail wrong
From reporting that they killed someone for saying she believed in God (a different girl who said she did survived) to not reporting that they sought out students of color while yelling racial slurs - on Hitler's birthday & a day after the anniversary of OKC and Waco - while promoting the idea that you have to watch out for loner bullied nerds. Even though later research shows that the shooters were, in fact, bullies themselves, who had a wide social circle, and they were, you know, Nazis motivated by racism and not the video game Doom (1993).
It's a generational fuck-up, the GOAT of bad reporting bc it's still with us. The narrative of persecution after "she said yes" is a huge reason the evangelical right is like how it is today (they made a biopic that uncritically repeated it just a couple years ago!) & they still push the idea that it's primarily victims who do that sort of thing and not aggressors & people still shared that stupid video of Marilyn Manson saying he'd "listen" until a couple years ago (though the shooters being abusive Nazi creeps would uh, not diminish Marilyn Manson's desire to befriend them, I feel)

On February 7, 2024, an indigenous nonbinary teenager named Nex Benedict was beaten to death in a US high school bathroom.
The news has been spreading across social media over the past few days, with several news outlets misgendering and deadnaming the victim. I have seen a small handful of posts about the entire thing, but only a couple with any sources about what happened.
I spent the morning combing through articles. This is a list of publications reporting on the story that don't deadname Nex:
Pgh Lesbian Correspondents: "Grieving Nex Benedict: the Brutal Killing of 16 Year Old Nonbinary Student in an Oklahoma High School"
The Pride: "Non-Binary Student Dies After Violent Bathroom Fight at Owasso High School in Oklahoma"
The Washington Blade: "Nonbinary Okla. High School Student Dies After Fight"
The Los Angeles Blade: "Oklahoma Non-Binary High Schooler Dies After Physical Alteraction"
LGBTQ Nation: "Teen Beaten to Death in a School Bathroom Bullying Attack. The School Didn't Call an Ambulance."
Freedom Oklahoma: "Rest in Power Nex Benedict"
Indy 100: "Thousands Raised for Non-Binary Teenager Beaten to Death at School"
The Independent: "Oklahoma Banned Trans Students From Bathrooms. Now a Bullied Student is Dead After a Fight."
Daily Dot: "Oklahoma's Top Education Official Called Out Over Libs of TikTok Ties After Non-Binary Student Beaten at School, Dies Later"
Daily Kos: "Libs of TikTok Targeted a District, Then a Non-Binary Student Was Killed on Campus"
Malang Post: "Owasso High School Mourns Pupil's Death After Altercation"

you can be traumatised by a demographic and not hate them, I literally just saw someone say they hate minors because they're traumatised by one, like I was too, but if I hated every group I've been harmed by I'd be a fucking misanthrope at this point dude. straight up said "you'd hate them too if you had been" like no??? most people don't actually blame entire demographics for a guy
