What does your favourite roast dinner include? On Sunday, @_bethmossman and I went to @redlionbonvilston for dinner and it didn't disappoint. I had the lamb shank for a very reasonable £15 and it was delicious. Lamb cooked perfectly, the bone just slid out of the meat �� And it was topped off with a lush gravy with a hint of mint. Not overbearing, which is good for me as I don't usually put mint on my Sunday dinners. Hard work, tears, feeling like giving up!! IT’S ALL WORTH IT IN THE END 💕 I am coming up to 10 months postpartum and there is still a long road to recovery for me physically and mentally but I am starting to feel like me, well me with no sleep 🤯 Having twins was a breeze at the beginning my life didn’t feel like it had changed too much, oooo how I was lead into a false sense of security! The girls are crawling, claiming and costing from furniture to floor and my days are soooo much longer than before with 5am wake ups, I am constantly working out without working out. Nappy changes are like a full on cardio workout with the chase of putting their nappies back on. Then you have clingon which is a lot of weighted squats, deadlifts and curls. But the once broken posture, weak core from pregnancy is on its way back to where I was before I fell pregnant. We are so determined to get our bodies back to how they were postpartum and sometimes we rush into things without fixing what damage pregnancy has done. How are you doing today? A question everyone asks, but who actually listens to the answer? Can you pick up on the verbal & nonverbal cues? Behind every smile is a struggle you know nothing about. And I am the world's worst at smiling through even the toughest of days/weeks/months.... Over the past few years I've opened up more to my nearest & dearest, and helped them understand my own cues. For example, 'yeah, I'm ok' means I'm not ok and I'm struggling with something. But I probably don't understand it enough myself to talk about it. A few probing questions are fine and after a couple if I'm not opening up I need the conversation to change. Also, when I do open up, I don't want a million solutions to my problem as I probably already know them. If I want help, I will specifically ask for it. Sometimes I just need to mind dump on a listening ear so I can figure it out myself. As someone who has struggled with #mentalhealth most of my life, the biggest advice I can give anyone is to understand your own triggers, symptoms, and needs.
