I think there would be a major disconnect between the bats and the rest of the JL/super powered folk due to injuries and pain.

Let me explain.

I saw this post and it made me think of the healing factor/invulnerability of most of the JL. Clark is practically impervious, Diana’s worst injury is a paper cut at her day job, and the Green Lanterns have a passive force field, so on and so forth. But Batman bleeds. The only one who’s got any sort of healing factor is Jason, but it’s nothing compared to the flashes.

I can imagine Batman nursing some sort of injury like a broken rib from a punch he took from some super villain of the week, whereas Diana, who took the same punch, just shook it off. Batman isn’t jealous. He’s not bitter or angry. He just notices it. He knows he’s not as unmovable as them. But no one else sees that.

But I think it would really become an issue with his kids. Seeing all of his kids participate in a superhero team at some point, most of which start those teams or lead them at some point, because he trained them harder than anyone else. Because they’re not invulnerable.

And the turning point would be if one of those kids gets hurt. Like if Dick broke a bone or something and needed to have it reset in the field, Batman telling him “Scream if you need to” and it actually happening would really make the supers around them take notice. The bats aren’t invulnerable. But they’re the most dangerous of the JL.

Idk I just thought it would be interesting. I might write something with the concept because I could go on about it.

I was just thinking what a cool job this might be.. what if you were just the person who makes little still images of cute animal figurines doing various activities to post on social media...? like.. show up to work and just spend the whole day like "hmm... this table should be placed to the left a little.. let me set this miniature bagel down in this way... this tiny rabbit should be wearing a scarf", setting the backgrounds, the lighting, etc. ... dream job perhaps lol...

#I'm sure it probably doesnt pay much lol #but.. maybe in some ideal world.. #with my health and mental conditions and level of functioning there are VERY few Jobs I could actually EVER manage aside from #just being self employed and being able to set my own hours somehow etc... Yes... perhaps if I could align myself in this hyper specific scenario under hyper specific conditions in a #precise and predictable way and everything worked out perfectly and I had all the accomodations I might need.. maybe I could #do THAT thing then .. lol #Not just generally a 'social media manager' or something. I think that would drive me into the throes of madness #but SPECIFICALLY 'person who makes the images for the calico critters social media' and also #the place i have to go to do that is either my home or within walking distance of my home and also i rarely have to interact #with others aside from the posts probably going through some approval process and initial ideas where they tell me what #type of scene to make and also i somehow make $90.000 a year doing this for only 4 days a week with frequent sick breaks #dreamy sigh and so on and so forth and such and so on #ANYWAY........ #the idea of meticulously placing little pastries and miniature crayons and stuff around all day until the scene is perfectly crafted.. SO #SO so appealing to me... like designing environments in the sims except it's real and tangible.. And also imagine having access #to the FULL library of miniature items. to me that would be just as good as owning them #Like.. I get to use them and make little scenes with them and hold them and stare at them and everything except also #they're all kept at work so I don't have boxes of clutter filling home. #unlimited access to every little miniature food ever crafted yet none of the downsides (purchase cost and storage) #etc. etc. ANYWAY ... #Chuckling confidently as I add this onto the 'List Of ''Real'' Jobs I Could Do' which is just a notebook sheet of paper with only like 5 #other similarly unlikely hyperspecific scenarios scribbled down

In Fate/Zero, Iskandar earned Gilgamesh's respect as a fighter. Gilgamesh then proceeded to pull out his ultimate weapon and destroy Iskandar and his army.

In Unlimited Blade Works, Shirou doesn't earn Gilgamesh's respect until the very, very end of the fight, after slicing arms off and beating him. Shirou wins that fight, and survives (with help from Archer).

Moral of the story? Elitist assholes are much easier to beat when they see you as a maggot, so don't waste time earning their respect.

Belated doodles for Kaeya day!

I've been out of the country for about a month and got to go on a vacation and then workation in Japan, Singapore, and Thailand! I drew this at Mae Kampong village in Chiang Mai on Kaeya's birthday and had some time to reflect (while eating lots of tasty and nostalgic food that I normally couldn't get back in the states). It's good to be home, but I miss a lot of things.

I also thought it would be nice to draw Kaeya traveling and enjoying different foods lol. Kaeya x Kaya Toast is my new favorite thing. One day I'll draw about it hehe ;u;

#my new job is like a damn dream btw #i'm not getting paid as much as my target was but it more than makes up for it in really good work culture #and tons of employee engagement/amenities that are just fucking Nice #not that i utilize most of this but: cafe with free food and drinks. 24/7 on-site gym access. very flexible work schedule. #frequent free food events #discounts on sport/concert tickets/ski resorts/etc #unlimited PTO. tuition reimbursement. volunteer support (can take time out of your work day to do volunteer work while still getting paid). #my manager's ethic is: don't care what hours you work as long as you're here at the morning meeting and get all your work done #basically as long as i communicate i can work 7-3 or 8-4 or 9-5 or whatever suits my personal schedule #and i am allowed to leave when my work is done. no sitting around twiddling my thumbs trying to look busy #if all i have left is data analysis i can leave early and do it from home if i want #i can set up my work so that i can work from home once or twice a month. something i never thought I'd be able to do as a bench scientist #its so amazing compared to anywhere else I've worked #i'm sure it's laughable compared to the super wealthy pharma companies but those are evil places so i'm happy with this #ALSO i get regular raises and a merit bonus every year #just...wow what a great place to settle down for a few years
