🤔 If all you do is watch the National/international news or hang out on social media, dark social like Telegram, or forums like Reddit, then all you may be reading or watching is negative, divisive news and information.
Conspiracy theories, as well as rumors and opinions, run rapid, escalating the amount of FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) running around in your mind.
Add to that the fact that where like-minded people hang out, so does confirmation bias, which always creates a narrative in our mind that our worldview is the true worldview, providing us with a false sense of authority in our viewpoint.
Yet history has proven time and time again that people come together for the betterment of each other. Striving to accomplish something bigger than just themselves, the cultures in nations shift in a more positive direction.
I challenge you to limit the amount of dull, negative, dissolution news and info you allow in your mind for the next 37 hours. Instead, replace it with the following:
Walks in your neighborhood
A drive in the country, stopping for a piece of pie in a local diner, and asking your server what they love about their community.
Find a local charity and take a couple of hours to serve others.
Go to the beach or back in the woods by a creek and just chill.
Sit by the fire and read a good book.
Just chill with your family if they are up to it and ask about life.
Talk to your local community leaders and find out how you can start serving your community to create positive change. How you can begin to bring back faith, hope, and love to your community… what you may find is it never left; you did!

9/11 Hero Welles Crowther, the man in the red bandana who went back up.
Douglas Vandergraph continues his journey of teaching others how to accomplish their dreams and goals by asking us to remember and honor those affected by the tragedy of 9/11 and the world events it ignited. But above all, may it remind us of the beauty in putting others’ needs ahead of our own at the times when it is most difficult to do so. May we always have the compassion to do what is best for them, even if we ourselves may suffer. In this video Douglas gives an emotional account of the story of 9/11 hero Welles Crowther, Welles was a Boston College lacrosse player and volunteer firefighter who eventually went to work as an equity's trader in the World Trade Center. Crowther was known for the red bandana he wore under his sports jerseys. Douglas is putting himself out there as an example to others so they can see how anyone can take a chance, improve daily, and make a difference in the lives of others. What is it that you want in your life? Douglas can show you how to get it! This is a video series Douglas is completing in the hopes he can help just one person.
