and now for something completely different!! (it is once again that collaboration with @chiropteracupola)
you already know i love you
A crisp spring breeze crested over the hilltop near Teufort Manor, ruffling grasses and skirts alike with warmth and the promise of better things to come. It was saturated with sweet lavender and the tang of onion grass, and Filomena took a deep, soothing breath, letting the dawning season blossom in her lungs, before another explosion rocked the bucolic meadow.
“Do you suppose they’ll hurt themselves?” she murmured, licking her finger to turn over a page in her book, some dense medical volume in Ansel’s native German filled with extensive diagrams and footnotes she could barely follow. Beneath her, Ansel shifted, peering across the clearing. Far off in the distance, Jeremiah and Mikhail were continuing their jovial pyrotechnics; chain-shot whistled and cracked against pine bark, rippling out on the wind, whooping and guttural laughter nipping at the echo’s heels.
“Oh,” Ansel said, adjusting his glasses as he peered over Filomena’s shoulder, “almost certainly.”
Filomena snorted, knocking her head against Ansel’s temple.
The two of them were curled up underneath a sprawling oak whose roots gnarled and twisted into shapes almost resembling waves. Its whorls provided a comfortable place to lie down with a friend and a good book, both of which Filomena was fortunate enough to have to hand. Of course, Ansel bore the brunt of the wooden seating, as she was quite neatly slotted into his lap, but he was hardly complaining, and the good doctor made more than adequate a cushion for such an occasion. Beside them sat two glasses of cider newly dredged up from the mansion’s cellar, sweating in the sun. The scent of apples was barely noticeable over the milieu of wildflowers and the cool water of the nearby river, but its company was not to be ignored.
Cocking her head away from the deafening blast of cannonfire once more, Filomena laughed. “Are we at all obligated to stop this?”
“Not at all, Liebling.” Ansel smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist. “I have every faith they will remain in one piece.” Pausing, he pursed his lips, fighting off the grin pulling at his cheeks. “More or less.”
“Of course.”
Shaking her head with an incurable fondness, Filomena tapped her thumb against Ansel’s knuckles, rough and cracked from years of equal parts caustic chemicals and dirty fighting, before feeling for the twin bands that encircled his middle finger. They sparkled in the afternoon light, new gold as yet untarnished by neither time nor bitterness. While Filomena’s own ring was nothing to sneeze at, all delicate etching imbued with adoration, she admired the interlocking pieces of Ansel’s jewelry. Daniel had made them, so of course they were lovely as they were unconventional.
Her reverie was broken shortly after by the loudest blast yet, punctuated by the splintering of wood and a triumphant holler. When she looked up, Jeremiah was beaming, gesturing to a swath of leveled trees with flailing arms and calling out to her.
“Mina! Mina, didja see that?”
“Yes, darling, I did!” Filomena cried, waving from her spot seated atop Jeremiah’s husband. “It was spectacular!”
“Hallelujah!” Pumping his fist, Jeremiah ran to Mikhail, who was lumbering toward the makeshift camp under the tree. He leapt up into the gunner’s waiting embrace, whooping as he went.
“Hey, Micky, she saw! She saw!”
Mikhail rolled his eyes, but nevertheless swept Jeremiah into an expansive twirl so that his legs flung out in all directions and he looked as though he could take flight with glee. When he touched ground again, Jeremiah nudged Mikhail’s elbow. “D’ya think the Doc was watchin’?”
A rumbling guffaw tore itself from Mikhail’s throat, bounding around the clearing. He ruffled Jeremiah’s hair with a hand wrought from iron, and Jeremiah shouldered him in return.
“What’re you laughin’ at?”
“You are…” Mikhail seemed to consider his words as they drew closer. “Cute. I see why Doktor likes you.”
“Hey! I ain’t cute! Mina, tell ‘im I ain’t cute!”
“Well, I’m afraid I have some bad news,” Filomena grinned, gently closing her book around her finger.
“Agh! Betrayed!” Drawing a hand to his forehead, Jeremiah sprawled across Filomena’s lap, face contorted in mock agony. “By my own wife, no less!”
“I’m sure you’ll live.” Bending down, Filomena pressed a quick kiss to his lips. Immediately, Jeremiah sprung back to life, sitting upright.
“It’s a miracle! I’m cured!”
“A veritable scientific anomaly,” Ansel agreed with a wink, reaching for Jeremiah’s hand and twining their fingers together. “One I will be sure to study at great length.”
“Aw, you flirt.” Succumbing to giggles moments later, Jeremiah tugged Ansel through a gap under Filomena’s arm for a clumsy, beaming kiss. She cast her eyes over to Mikhail, who was settling in beside the three of them, and found herself stifling ungainly chortles as he examined her plight, tangled between her husband and her husband’s husband. Reaching out, Filomena gripped Mikhail’s shoulder like a lifeline.
“Jeremiah, dear,” Filomena choked out through suppressed laughter, “while you know I love you very much, I am also— rather struggling to breathe.”
“Oh, shit.” Scrambling backward—very nearly clipping her nose with his head—Jeremiah disentangled himself from under Filomena’s arm until he was straddling her lap, hands laced behind her neck. “Hi.”
“Hello.” Smiling, Filomena twined her fingers through Jeremiah’s hair, admiring the smattering of freckles splashed across the bridge of his nose. His blue eyes shimmered green with the foliage around them, and flaxen hair shone like spun gold.
“You are beautiful,” Filomena said before the rest of her mind caught up, but when it did, she found she still meant it. Ducking his head, Jeremiah’s cheeks flushed, and he reached for her glass of cider.
“Says you,” he mumbled.
“I do.”
Taking a long swig, Jeremiah eventually replaced the empty glass and laid his hands on Filomena’s cheeks.
“Love you, Mina.”
Jeremiah leaned in, resting his forehead against hers, breath fogging against her spectacles. She wanted to tell him she loved him too, but the gentle silence that enveloped them felt too precious to interrupt, and so she simply hoped he knew what she meant, what she would always mean.
Sighing, Filomena began to recline against Ansel’s chest again, before he raised a hand in protest.
“Ey! Save some for the rest of us!”
“Sorry,” Filomena chuckled, shimmying to the side until there was no interruption between Ansel and Jeremiah. Her book had long fallen by the wayside, and she scooped it up as she nestled herself between Ansel and Mikhail, dodging Jeremiah’s stray boot.
“Nice, isn’t it?” she whispered, more to the wind than anyone in particular, watching Jeremiah fiddle with Ansel’s tie, dot kisses along his jaw.
“Да,” came a soft whisper from behind her. When she turned, Mikhail was looking down at the scene before them, expression infectiously serene. “Is nice.”
“Misha, are you talking about us?” Ansel called, muffled under Jeremiah’s bear hug.
Mikhail’s amusement reverberated outward from deep in his stomach, rippling through Filomena and dragging her along with his levity. “Only good things, Doktor.”
“I should hope so, mein Schatz!” Although Ansel clearly meant to say more, Jeremiah pulled him into a crushing hug and abruptly cut him off, the both of them cradled in light and warmth. Filomena kicked her heel into Jeremiah’s thigh.
“Let the poor man recover, darling!” she exclaimed, guiding him back into her lap. “I do apologize for my husband’s despicable behavior, Mr. Ludwig.”
“And I, mine, Mrs. Thornton,” Ansel returned, kissing her cheek. “Really, Vogel, you ought to know better.”
“You two are insufferable.” Groaning, Jeremiah flipped over, positioning himself across the row of thighs that formed a convenient mattress. “Why did I ever marry you?”
“Hmmm, because you love us?” Filomena said, tapping his nose.
Ansel chimed in with a raised finger. “And because you are a man of miserable tastes!”
“Ah, yeah, that’s gotta be it.”
Soft grin spreading across his face, Jeremiah let his eyes flutter closed, resting his hands across his stomach, and a pleasant quiet began to settle around them, guided on the maple seeds fluttering to the ground. The hopefulness of springtime was practically infectious, with the four of them together like this.
Inhaling long and slow, Filomena tucked her head into Ansel’s ribs, and he draped his arm over her shoulders, slender fingers finding purchase in the brocade of Mikhail’s coat. If she was not mistaken, Jeremiah was already drifting off, heart slowing to a crawl against her legs. Mikhail’s steady breaths worked to lull them all into a timeless, dreamlike state, where the world seemed to turn at a snail’s pace around them.
“I adore you,” Filomena mumbled, uncertain as to whether or not her loves had heard her. Not that it mattered, of course, but then Ansel’s “Süße Träume,” and Mikhail’s, “Спокойной ночи,” and last of all, Jeremiah’s, “Love ya,” reached her ears, and her chest all but glowed with the vibrancy within.
The distant chirp of birds lulled her into a gentle sleep.

CELLAR DARLING | UNVEIL NEW SINGLE AND MUSIC VIDEO FOR 'AVALANCHE'
The latest triumphant single release by CELLAR DARLING, the hyped new band of ex-ELUVEITIE members Anna Murphy, Merlin Sutter and Ivo Henzi, confirms that CELLAR DARLING are a force to be reckoned with, and they are just getting started! “’This Is The Sound’ is the kind of album you instantly fall in love with […] one of the finest and most beautiful albums that you would hear in 2017“ - 5/5, Heavymag, AUS The latest single 'Avalanche' promotes their highly anticipated debut album This Is The Sound, due to be released on Nuclear Blast Records in just a couple of weeks - June 30th 2017. 'Avalanche' tells yet another grim abstract story, painting a picture of the end of things. In band’s own words: “We'd like to take you on another journey into a picturesque, abstract world. Listen to the summoners of the ‘Avalanche'. A story about a cult and a freezing end to an intimate deathwish. Shot in the heat of beautiful Tenerife, an intentionally contradictory setting, this video tells you our story with symbolism and movement, contrasts & metaphors. So sit back and let your imagination run wild, enjoy! “ Watch the amazing new clip 'Avalanche' here: https://youtu.be/NWMiBj0yDJg The band’s previous single 'Black Moon' confirmed the Swiss ‘newcomers’ are in it to win it. Released only 3 weeks ago to an overwhelming response,'Black Moon' has placed CELLAR DARLING firmly on the map with interest pouring in from all over the world, appealing to rock and metal fans alike with a signature folky hurdy-gurdy tones, Henzi’s trademark guitar riffs, Sutter’s powerful drumming and of course Anna Murphy’s unique voice she has become known for, leading us through an apocalyptic vision of the end of the world as seen by different cultures and religions, all engulfed in a lunar eclipse. Watch the music video here: https://youtu.be/r-5ZkRL-EV0   "»This Is The Sound«…is sensibly chaotic. It perfectly captures the feeling of being in the eye of a nasty storm, representing a moment of pure bliss, along with the underlying turbulence." - 9.0 – Owais Nabi, Metalwani.com In addition, the band released the first part of their album documentary “Out of the cellar, into the light”. Part 1, entitled “This is who we are”, is a great insight into the band’s past, the three characters who formed the band and the glue that holds them together. Watch the documentary here: https://youtu.be/arauTUTDNWg "A fantastic album, with some mean hurdy gurdy playing on it!” – 9/9, Powerplay, UK After spending over decade touring the world with their previous band, the trio in its new incarnation are once again ready to take on the world. ALBUM REVIEW / CELLAR DARLING
 This Is The Sound (2017)
Tumblr media
After their sudden depart from the Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie, Anna Murphy, Merlin Sutter, e Ivo Henzi, got together and rapidly formed a new musical project of their own. And so, Cellar Darling was born. This band put out their first album under Nuclear Blast Records, named 'This Is The Sound', that has 14 magnificent songs that go from rock, through metal, to folk where the combination between drums, guitars and zanfona amazes us from the beginning.
youtube
The album has melodic songs, with great guitar riffs, praiseworthy drums, a surprising Hurdy-Gurdy and Anna's amazing voice, that sounds extremely sweet, but without losing its presence and power. It's hard to make a distinction in all those excelent songs, but for me the top ones are “Black Moon”, “Hullaballoo”, “The Hermit”, “Under the Oak Tree”, “Hedonia”, and “Redemption”.
youtube
The band has displayed an unbelievable versatility in every song, to create a unique atmosphere, and tell the stories they tell us in the lyrics. Cellar Darling has made a sublime and magic record in 'This Is The Sound'. The whole album is a journey that won't let you half-hearted. The only bad thing is that the album should be sold with a warning, because it could get adictive.

BRUNCH
(Written by Dave Hoos & Max Nantes)
Having supper?
Brunch. Supper is an unbuttoned shirt, dinner is a normal creased shirt. But brunch is the top button done up on a button down shirt. Maybe even with a cravat or pocket tie in the breast pocket.
Pocket tie. And a jacket. Not to be worn, but slung over the shoulder and draped across the back of the chair. Because this is brunch. Brunch is a Panama hat, with a cheeky, young riesling in a chilled ice bucket. A fruity, zesty little number with that wonderful woody aftertaste, with just a hint of rope. Brunch.
Sunday brunch.
This is brunch, brunch is the San Pellegrino of mineral waters, it is the gorgeous Scottish lamb wool when it comes to tartan picnic rugs (not plaid, never plaid)…brunch is the coffee bean picked by the gifted viola prodigy in Brazil. Brunch is life, brunch is what we live for…..brunch is simply lush.
Especially Sundays. Sunday is for brunch, afternoon tea, and supper. The conversation would go something like this…
————————————————————–
Hoos: “That would be wonderful. I’ve got a couple of bottles of riesling on ice. No, they cost around $80 a bottle. Don’t worry about the price, it’s wonderful. I usually don’t even look at the cheap ones, but these are superb. Alright, see you at 11.00.”
[Meanwhile, a voice calls from the kitchen]
Mrs.Hoos: “Darling, can you give me a hand for a minute? Breakfast is nearly ready.”
Hoos: “We’re having brunch. It’s Sunday.”
Mrs.Hoos: “Darling, it doesn’t matter.”
Hoos: “Doesn’t matter? That was Nantes on the phone. He’s coming over for brunch, not breakfast. He’s bringing his jacket especially. It’s going to be 35 degrees. Nobody brings a jacket with them in this weather unless they’re having brunch. He’s got his pocket tie ironed expressly.”
Mrs.Hoos: “Can’t you just…”
Hoos: “Brunch.”
Mrs.Hoos: “How about if we…”
Hoos: “And after brunch we were going to take a couple of bottles and take a stroll through town and toss pennies at the street vendors and market diners.”“
Mrs Hoos: "But can’t we just serve him this and call it brunch?”
Hoos: “No, he will know it’s not brunch, brunch has a feeling to it, a certain mood…..it’s when the birds are singing a certain song and that first sip of young riesling makes you feel a little dizzy and a little bit naughty…but you remember that it’s fine. Because it’s not breakfast, it’s brunch, it’s cool jazz playing, it’s when you stretch your legs, you can’t camouflage breakfast or lunch as brunch”.
Mrs Hoos: “But darling please it’s 35 degrees and I’ve been cooking all morning and it’s ready”.
Hoos: “Sorry sweetheart, brunch waits for nobody, not even brunch”.
Nantes: “Yes, and then my blazer is casually left draped on a chair and then I forget to take it with me so Hoos has to bring it over after supper, so we can then sit in our velvet smoking jackets and corduroy trousers and have a brandy with a fine Cuban cigar whilst discussing the virtues of Shakespeare’s sonnets.”
————————————————————–
Brunch is for a late lie in. Waking at ten. Having a morning stroll to the place where Jean-Pierre had his delightful little rustic café, Le Pantalon. There’s new owners now, no matter. Stroll in, even if the place appears closed. When one of the wait staff comes to tell you that they’re not yet open for lunch, give them a casual wave of the hand, and inform them that you don’t care for lunch…you’re here for brunch.
Show them your loafers.
Then tell them that this afternoon you’re having a tennis lesson with Gustav. Watch their faces. Make sure they notice that your shirt is unbuttoned at the top.
Languid. Relaxed. Brunch.
Bien sûr.
Brunch is champagne with orange juice, it’s a sharp cheddar and a watercracker with sweet fig paste….for you see brunch is autumn, it’s the cute naive exchange student from Belgium with buckled shoes that almost walk with a skip and a mouth that laughs at all your jokes even though her English is poor, brunch is the colour ocean blue, not sky blue, but the ever changing reflection of ocean blue, it’s the Oleg Markov of meals, the faded paperback book with personal footnotes written in cursive with a pencil, it’s for when a pizza is too filling but toast is too beige, but an omelette is just right. Brunch is life.
Happy brunchtime.
Brunch. Brunch is the sound of autumn leaves crackling under your loafers, it’s the imagery of a silk scarf waving in the wind from a 50’s convertable, it’s the crossaint slowly dipped into the bowl of hot chocolate. Brunch is the sound of the flame on the soy candle flickering, you don’t use it for light, but for fragrance, it’s peach and honeyblossom. Brunch is driving past Chadstone, not to go in of course, but to smirk at the shoppers wasting their time at brunchtime, it’s the feeling of getting into a lavender-infused bath and wondering if it’s too hot but then realising it’s perfect, it’s quail eggs and caviar, it’s boiled ham en gelee with parsley, rillettes of duck with prunes d'Agen, free range crispy scotch egg with homemade piccalilli on toasted sourdough bread. Brunch is young lovers carving their names on an old oak tree, it’s simply frozen grapes…it’s simply brunch.
You know, sometimes I try to imagine a life without brunch, and you know what I do? I cry…..that’s right, I cry, in fact I weep……tears running down my face like drops of condensation running down a glass of mimosa at brunch. Sunday brunch…
————————————————————–
Nantes: “I just had a chicken and salad roll, not very brunchy”
Hoos: “Chicken and salad you say? I see your point. No matter how nice the roll, chicken and salad will always be lunch. And there’s nothing wrong with a nice lunch, I had one yesterday. Ham and cheese. Delightful. But not brunch.
Never brunch.”
Nantes: “Never brunch, not even with a side of hand-cut sweet potato wedges with balsamic vinegar. Never brunch.
I think I’ll have noodle soup tomorrow. But that’s not really brunchy either.”
Hoos “Not really. If it’s minestrone soup, with a serving of ciabatta bread, roughly torn by hand (never sliced), and an attractive, attentive waitress grating thin shavings of parmesan cheese into the minestrone for you to taste until it’s…just perfect.
Then it’s brunch. But only when the wine arrives. Chilled, but not cold…sharp, but not tart…dry, but not arid…cheeky, but not inappropriate…just right. For brunch.
Always underrated.
Always, brunch.
A fry-up for brunch.”
Nantes “A fry-up is more breakfast, not brunch, but breakfast. I think the best cure at brunchtime would be coffee. Not just one, but tastings. Remember to discuss your review on each cup in terms of flavour characteristics”
Hoos “You’re right about the fry-up, of course. What was I thinking? It just seemed too late for breakfast, and a touch too early for lunch. How about brunch? Would a delightful brunch omelette help with a hangover I wonder? Perhaps it needs to be washed down with a nice bottle of white wine. Just the thing for 11:00AM with a hangover.”
Nantes: “You were thinking poorly, like a drug addled teen who uses the Pakenham line or a Western Bulldogs supporter. You know that brunch is a burgundy and cream cravat, a Perrier over frozen cantaloupe balls, for brunch is simply brunch….brunch is wine-stained tea towels from your auntie’s cellar, it’s hardback books of Russian literature without dust covers because dust covers are just so lunch, and not brunch…brunch is that cute Croatian gal who can’t quite order a Boost Juice, so you help her order amongst giggles and mumblings about banana bread….she doesn’t order banana bread, but you both express the virtues of said slice. Clean your loafers, always pay overs…this isn’t lunch..it’s brunch.”
————————————————————–
…with a robust riesling drizzled over a dozen naked oysters, your shirt unbuttoned at the sleeve, yet not still rolled up…
…it’s inviting guests for supper leftovers at eleven, then making them wait until twelve, it’s spilling wine all over your shirt and pants at the neighbour’s garden party…and then waiting to see who offers to help pat it dry…
Brunch is explaining to the dumbstruck waiter that your shoes are being worn expressly for the purpose of Sunday brunch, and taking him outside into the carpark, to proudly show him a car that isn’t yours…
Ah yes…brunch.
‘Tis brunch, I can’t add anymore other than simply…cufflinks…if your blazer is matched with your Oxford shirt appropriately….then one word, cufflinks, for brunch. Sunday brunch.
————————————————————–
Pancakes for brunch.
Mrs.Hoos: Hoos, I’m thinking of making pancakes for…
Hoos: BRUNCH!! What an excellent idea, darling. My tweed cap with the ostrich feather in the left hand side will be perfect.
Mrs.Hoos: It’s a bit overcast, darling. Perhaps we shouldn’t sit…
Hoos: Nonsense darling. Not a bit of it. You can just pop open the cantilever once you’ve laid the alfresco dining table. Set for three. Nantes is bringing his antique butterfly net. He picked it up for a song at the flea market down by the pigeon fanciers emporium.“
Nantes: "I was planning on bringing a quiche and a canapé, but it might clash with the pancakes. Are you sure she’s making pancakes? I always thought crepes were more brunch-esque, never mind will do, but don’t forget the fresh strawberries from that little gourmet orchard stall, you know, the one Alfredo told you about, it’s lush. I just can’t decide on the loafers, the hickory brown ones with the tassels, or the tawny brown without tassels. Ahh decisions. Brunch.”
Hoos: “I have an old tassled jacket that will go well with your loafers. Sorry about the pancakes. As I was perusing the wine section in the off licence (I asked them, unsuccessfully, if I might see their range of chilled, brunch rieslings) next to the, sadly, unremarkable supermarket. Whilst there, I was accosted by a 41 year old dental assistant, who accused me of stealing her aubergines from her shopping trolley. As I deftly deflected her clumsy advances and sent her crashing into a shoddily assembled grapefruit display…her left elbow grazed the container of pancake mixture that was earmarked for our delightful brunch.
I returned the damaged article at once. The risk was too great.”
Nantes: “We all know the sort, always planned on being a dentist but said she would wait until her 30’s, and then bang…40’s come around and she’s still an assistant. She says that’s what she prefers but everyone knows she’s just apathetic and takes her frustration out on dapper gentlemen in loafers trying to find brunch riesling. Then goes home to nothing more than her Beagle named Frank and her Ikea decor.”
Hoos: “Yes. And ruins brunch pancake mixture. Crepes would have been more appropriate (you are correct), but then that would have been even more of a disappointment. Luckily we still had Alfredo’s strawberries with cream and sugar to enjoy in place of the pancakes. My loafers were, thankfully, unscathed. Neither spilt pancake mixture, nor dental assistant’s spittle, in any way interfered with the integrity of my delicate, yet comfortable, early autumn footwear.”
Nantes: “Have you come from the cleaning cobbler who gave your loafers a polish and shine I suspect?”
Hoos: “A shiny coin was his ample reward. And some kind words…
"Ladislav, you are an honest, hardworking man. Do you know, I sometimes paint? Yes, yes. When I have the time, and the work has all been delegated, I like to paint. I have just finished a lovely piece, depicting a common, nondescript street cobbler, slipping and falling in a puddle of mud and filth, outside an expensive bistro, while a group of diners are watching him. Drinking, laughing, enjoying their brunch. It’s called, The Clumsy Oaf. It is magnificent. One day, with hard work, one day Ladislav, you can come up to my house and shine my shoes. And look at my painting. And if Nantes is bringing wine for brunch…shine his shoes too. He wears tassles. He will not forget. He will bring his shoes to you again.
You missed a spot.”“
————————————————————–
Brunch is being able to laugh at itself. Even if you couldn’t find your panama and had to wear your fedora. Whether the waiter is impressed by your monogrammed handkerchief, or simply confused as to why you’ve asked to see the brunch menu in a place that’s only open for lunch…it doesn’t matter.
It’s brunch. Sunday brunch.
It’s healthier, one meal instead of two with greater time in the afternoon for Bocce.
Or croquet. Or a stroll onto the golf course. Take your drinks, take the bottle. Hit the tiny ball occasionally. Let the 'golfers’ play through. It’s not why we’re here. We’re still having brunch.
END

Picked up an old unfinished wip, fixed the lines and gave it a bit of shading:) This is from my Vampire AU — Monster — where Crowley is a rockstar who plays on Aziraphale family's gardrn party (and causes some havoc by the end of it).
"Anthony J. Crowley." Aziraphale recites, his eyes momentarily sliding along the man's body despite himself, his cheeks growing hot. "Oh, good Lord!"
Aziraphale knows this look from countless posters and various adverts, but meeting Anthony J Crowley, the famous rockstar, in person is an experience on its own.
Crowley looks like the star he indeed is—there are dark glasses on his nose, his vibrant red hair is artfully tied back in a sort of half-bun, wisps falling over his shoulders. The only thing covering his torso is a black leather waistcoat with a fringe, leaving his chest and flat stomach on a full display, red electric guitar flung over his shoulder.
The corners of Crowley's lips turn downwards in a peculiar sort of smile, as he surely notices what effect he has on Aziraphale. "You know what's the worst part of being recognisable? No one ever calls you by your name anymore," he says, and then adds, "It's just Crowley."

CELLAR DARLING UNVEIL MUSIC VIDEO FOR 'BLACK MOON', LAUNCH PRE-ORDER FOR THIS IS THE SOUND
CELLAR DARLING, the much-hyped new band formed by ex-ELUVEITIE members Anna Murphy, Merlin Sutter and Ivo Henzi, released a brand new single entitled, 'Black Moon' along with a new music video. The single promotes their debut album This Is The Sound due to be released on June 30th 2017. 'Black Moon' leads CELLAR DARLING's fans through an abstract, apocalyptic vision of the end of the world as seen by different cultures and religions all engulfed in a lunar eclipse. The music video was shot in the beautiful Tenerife.               "We're proud and happy to present to you the first single from our              upcoming album 'This Is The Sound': 'Black Moon'!               'Black Moon' is one of the first songs we wrote after our debut single last year, and probably the point where we definitely "found" our sound. Ivo randomly called his original demo 'Moon' and that triggered the idea of a story based on the fear of a black moon... So, as a lyrical theme, we ended up exploring mankind's tendency to add an apocalyptic interpretation to the lunar eclipse.               We'd like to thank everyone involved for their hard work in the scorching hot   'lunar landscape' of Tenerife: the talented Fabienne Fellmann and her fellow actors as well as AVA Studios and their awesome team!             - Anna, Merlin & Ivo                           Watch the music video here:              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-5ZkRL-EV0&feature=youtu.be               In addition, the band launches the pre-order for This Is The Sound and now you can get their new album in the form of a CD or double vinyl. For a little extra, a limited digibook is also available. It features 3 bonus tracks! Each band member chose a cover song to interpret in CELLAR DARLING’s              own, unique style. Anna picked 'The Cold Song’ from Henry Purcell’s “King Arthur” opera, Tears for Fears’ 'Mad World’, was chosen by Ivo and              to top it all off - the epic Queen classic 'The Prophet’s Song’ - Merlin’s all time favourite. Also included in the digibook will be an alternative and limited cover artwork plus an extended 32-page booklet, filled with the band’s notes on the stories behind their songs.

The Prophet’s Song               CELLAR DARLING already played a couple of shows where they premiered their new songs live. Before embarking on a tour with DELAIN and SERENITY, you can see them at the following festivals:              14.07.   CH         Bôle - ParaBôle Festival              18.08.    D           Dinkelsbühl - Summer Breeze                            with DELAIN and SERENITY:                            26.10.   F            Paris - Alhambra              27.10.   CH          Pratteln - Z7              28.10.   D           Bochum - Zeche              29.10.   D            Munich - Backstage              31.10.   UK          Utrecht - Tivoli Vredenburg              01.11.   UK          London -  Koko               The band filmed an entire little studio documentary that will soon be revealed bit by bit on CELLAR DARLING's Facebook page and Youtube channel, so stay tuned!               After their split with ELUVEITIE, Anna Murphy, Ivo Henzi and Merlin Sutter quickly realised their musical journey was far from over. What quickly developed was a unique and fresh combination of grand and heavy riffs, powerful drumming and a unique voice along with the signature folky, earthy tones of the hurdy gurdy. This, combined with classical elements as well as inherited folk influences, led to the creation of something entirely new, setting Cellar Darling on the path of musical innovation. CELLAR DARLING released their first single, 'Challenge', and a bonus song called 'Fire, Wind & Earth' in September 2016. Watch the lyric videos here:
