Chihiro Fujisaki Ultimate Unlucky Student If that is good...
yeah no worries!
Chihiro was very used to not being lucky. His luck was never that good, ever since he was little. He’d tried every lucky charm out there to no avail; the best it ever did was make his luck slightly more towards neutral.
He didn’t know what else to do. There was no way he could change his luck, but he’d managed to make do so far. He just had to live with his luck and hope it didn’t get too bad.
It worked kind of like Murphy’s Law, in a way. Anything that could go wrong for him would. It was part of the reason he didn’t make friends very easily; something always went wrong.
His classmates at Hope’s Peak were a little more understanding, thankfully, but he was still apprehensive. He just knew his luck would screw everything up for him in one way or another.
Maybe he’d be able to rely on his classmates a little more to help him when his luck went awry, but he wanted to try changing his luck for himself, too, despite it not changing before.

A small introduction to my Danganronpa OC: Kikomiwa Unmeishiro, The Ultimate Siren.
Originally born to a poor family, Kikomiwa Unmeishiro was the most "beautiful" one in the family, according to her mother. With her grey colored eyes and her naturally smooth black hair, she was a beauty. But what came of her beauty also came at a strange... price.
Tumblr media
For some strange reason, Kikomiwa's physical beauty wasn't the only thing that was apparent. Her voice, whether speaking or singing, had an effect on the human brain that would trigger the reward centers and "hypnotize" people. Everytime she spoke, boys and girls would flock to where she was and admire her as if they were hypnotized to do so the moment she spoke.
This frightened Kikomiwa growing up, and it was bad enough that she had to stop school entirely. No matter what she spoke, men would flock to her and treat her like an idol when she never wanted the attention like this. To her, it was a curse.
Tumblr media
But to her parents, this was an opportunity, a greedy one at that.
Because Kikomiwa's voice had an effect of luring people to worship and adore her, her mother and father took advantage of Kikomiwa's voice and forced her into the idol industry. She became a beloved singer, loved by all, yet her parents knew it wasn't enough. She was forced to sing and sing, perform and perform constantly, not to mention keeping up with her "fans" and making sure they get noticed.
All of it eventually blew over after Kikomiwa's last performance was big enough to reach chart tops, but not big enough to claim first, who at the time belonged to Sayaka Maizono. Her parents were selfish, and they kicked Kikomiwa out with nowhere for her to go. She was offered help by her fans, but she didn't want help from the people who ruined her life. Her family, her fans, everyone.
After a while of living on the streets, Kikomiwa was eventually scouted and taken into Hopes Peak High. Kiko remains silent, refusing to talk or even sing around anyone out of fear that a repeat of her entire career will happen again. All she wants is someone to call a true friend, to find somebody who will love her for who she truly is rather than her beauty.

(Been discussing this more on Discord, but the idea of an Ultimate Unlucky Student AU popped up for Leon and I’ve kinda been digging it.
Think about it; he was the unlucky guy Sayaka targeted, he failed to properly cover up his murder, he was the first guy in the entire series to get executed (I know there was, like, prequel stuff in the anime but I mean for us, he was the first).
He even says as much right before his execution; “I was just...unlucky.”
Everything surrounding his character is also such a contrast to Makoto; the Ultimate Lucky Student who ends up making it all the way to the end. The one who manages to escape from Sayaka’s attempt to kill alive.
The one who got in without any sort of expectations on him, compared to Leon who was still grappling with the reputation that came with his previous Ultimate title, as opposed to the one he actually wanted.
And then he died, only being remembered for that talent he loathed so much.
Truly unlucky.)

hey! i just read the puppy hybrid reader with albedo, haitham and dottore. can i request a tighnari, childe and ayato version?
characters: dom! tighnari, childe and ayato x gn! hybrid! reader.
warnings: nsfw! degradation, breeding, marking, exhibitionism [ohmygosh 700 followers already !?! i love you all sm <3]
Tumblr media
tighnari
❥ He’s sure you’re not this stupid, nor are you doing this accidentally. Your answers are ridiculously incorrect, even the simplest questions regarding topics he’s certain you already learnt are left clumsily forgotten.
❥ “Wrong.” Each erroneous reply that fell from your swollen lips granted such feedback— a harsh tug on your stimulated nipples or even grazing his teeth over your overly alert ears. How you wish you could tell your tutor that you’re simply too concentrated on him instead of the content you’re studying.
❥ Pitiful, really. You’re his honoured student yet Tighnari finds himself doubting your abilities when you’re reduced to a sobbing bitch on his cock, fully hilted but stationary. You’re begging him to move except Tighnari insists you stay quiet unless you can answer his questions.
❥ “Correct.” Every right response warranted a passionate kiss on your lips and a succession of thrusts with the snapping of his hips up. He just felt so heavenly inside you, both his tongue and his dick. You’re grasping onto his shoulders with the urge to cum but he’ll never let you finish so soon.
❥ Tighnari has to bite back his own grunts when you surround your warmth back around him, enveloping his erection with your soft, tight walls. His own ears twitching from sheer excitement the further he thrusts into you.
❥ Your tail swings back and forth with ecstasy and the pursuit of pure pleasure, your hands crave for Tighnari’s own grasp surrounding them. Unlucky for you, he opts to continue this twisted torture of teasing until your legs grow weak and your brain can only process the consequences of low grades.
❥ “Pathetic, you can attempt to woo me with your body yet your mind can’t seem to catch up fast enough.”
childe
❥ What were you thinking, talking to another man when you should be in the arms of your boyfriend? Don’t try reassuring Childe that he’s only a co-worker, for he’s already keeping you face down against the bed, tightly grasping your hips with his bruise-inflicting fingers.
❥ Cries which were a melody of pleasure and desperation flowed past your lips, your tail bouncing from how hard he was plunging his cock into your sore hole. Would of been cute if Tartaglia wasn’t so focused on disciplining your crude self.
❥”You’re…” Interrupted by the string of vulgar comments which left his mouth, that now was sloppily kissing and leaving bites surrounding your neck. Everyone needs to know who this little pet belongs to, by any means. Childe feels himself twitch at the thought of the revealing clothes he’ll dress you in to show his newly formed affection off.
❥”…Mine.” With an ultimate thrust, the young harbinger fills you with his seed, using his fingers to push every last drop back inside. He won’t have you wasting his precious cum, consider yourself lucky he’s giving it to you.
❥ Dirty animals like you deserve to be fucked until you’re chanting his name like a spell— until you’re certain Tartaglia is the only name you know of. Dumbed down to a feeble house pet to serve his pleasures exclusively. You’re just too incompetent to be used for anything else.
❥ You’d lost count of your orgasms, Childe’s stamina was animalistic and ferocious, recovering in a mere minute before returning to the mess he has underneath him. Your eyes gleamed with something akin to forgiveness, lust or even yearning.
❥ “Is this what dogs like you do during mating season? Go around prostituting yourself to other men? You know i’m the only one for you, sweetheart.”
ayato
❥ Pretty, little youkai like you need a lesson on etiquette. It’s most certainly scandalous to be moaning your master’s name as you pleasured yourself ‘alone’. Ayato was always observing your sessions, wandering how long a stupid thing like you would realise his presence.
❥ Pistoning your fingers in and out of your tight hole, whimpering and shaking from the feeling you’ve been fantasising of. Oh, how you wished the Yashiro Comissioner would tug on your tail and you’d milk him dry of his cum, it was so so hard to resist calling his title out aloud.
❥ Ayato, who sees his maid so worked up all because of him, he feels a sense of sympathy flourishing within his chest and groin, he couldn’t help but introduce himself onto the bed you laid on.
❥ “Dream come true, hm?” He coos when you take in his cock fully, violet eyes flickering to your ass as he pounded into it, gloved hands gripping the headboard to provide a different angle. He has you secured in every position he knows— pulling your thighs open with your soft tail rubbing against his bare chest, or lying flat as he stimulated your crotch with the friction of a slender finger’s rubbing.
❥ Don’t keep him for too long, Ayato is a busy man who craves your body every second without his dick sheathed feel within you. He’ll let you cock warm him, only if you’re polite enough though! Serve him all you have to offer and he’ll repay your deeds with a feeling so unique to him.
❥ Lowly little maid which has the Commissioner spending thousands of mora to accessorise your cute face, waist and nipples. He’s secretive as always, leaving the little gifts where you’ll only ever find them. The only debt he’s wrapped you in is the profitable image of your shy smile, your ears drooped under that unchanging cynical smirk.
❥ “Do you want me to drag you by a leash around the estate? To show how obedient and determined you are for my love? I promise a reward after, pet.”

Danganronpa Ultimate Categorization
Welcome back to another episode of: Jade is a nerd about something absolutely useless! Today's topic: Talent classification in Danganronpa/Fangans.
In the process of making my own fangan/s, I've created a classification system for the types of talents you can give characters. These classifications are...
Arts: Talents that are involved in the visual arts, performing arts, or fashion. Encompasses performers of all types, any type of visual artist, or anyone involved in fashion. (Ex. Actor, Abstract Artist, Model)
Practical: Talents that focus on a specialized skill or work with your hands. Also includes any talents that are religious or spiritual in nature. (Ex. Mechanical Engineer, Detective, Shrine Maiden)
Academic: Talents that are recognized by how much knowledge or experience a character has in an academic field. Covers most science, literature, math, and research based talents. (Ex. Chemist, Theologian, Archaeologist)
Sports: Talents relating to athletic skill. (Ex. Footballer, Kickboxer, Bowler)
Novelty: Talents given to a person who is special simply by existing. Can also be given to characters who win a contest for their talent. Includes Lucky/Unlucky Students, royalty, and non-human characters. (Ex. Lucky Student, Student, Princess)
This system of classification was based on my experience in the community over about three or four years, seeing many other people's original characters as well as creating my own. I found many fell into these categories. My "perfect" ratio, which my friends and I used as a guideline for making our fangan casts, is 4 arts : 4 practical : 4 academic : 2 sports: 2 novelty. I felt this ratio kept things even and grounded.
A few months ago, I began to wonder if my "perfect" ratio was more of my own creation than an actual pattern I saw. I thought, in the event it was, that I would come up with a mathematically accurate ratio that better represented the talent distribution of Danganronpa and its fan projects. This was my attempt at doing just that.
Data Collection
For this, I tried to collect as varied of a sample as possible. I included the three mainline Danganronpa games and sixteen fangans, ranging from very popular ones to very obscure ones. The fangans sampled for this analysis were...
Danganronpa Another
Super Danganronpa Another 2
Danganronpa Despair Time
Brave Danganronpa Coward's Paradise
Project Eden's Garden
Danganronpa He(art)less Deceit
Danganronpa Hushed Whispers
Danganronpa Muave
Danganronpa Despair's Revival
Danganronpa Re:Birth
Danganronpa Twisted Truths
Danganronpa Survivor's Guilt
Danganronpa Despair's Flame (my fangan! also the one where the talent ratio originated)
Danganronpa Cyberspace
Danganronpa Akeda Amusements
Danganronpa Lost Paradise (my other fangan that isn't released anywhere but I'm counting anyway)
I figured out the talent ratio for each individual game by looking through their casts and sorting them with my classification system. Ultimate ???'s were thrown out if possible (such as in the case of Akeda Amusements, where Hanari was thrown out due to the fangan having seventeen participants) and if not, they were counted as novelty.
Also, shout out to Yuki Maeda and Teruya Ōtori for managing to count for two different data sets despite my best efforts at finagling a way to keep them confined to one.
Observations
Tumblr media
The first thing I noticed in looking at the ratios for canon Danganronpa was that Academic ultimates are underrepresented compared to what I initially remembered. It had been a while since I revisited the mainline games, and it was a shock to be reminded of that. I was also reminded, but not quite as shocked by the greater emphasis on practical ultimates.
In fangans, the focus on practical ultimates continues to be heavy, with none having less than two. There was also less focus on sports ultimates, with the majority having only one or two compared to the three that the mainline games had a majority of the time. They also tend to have more academic ultimates.
I think that this could be explained by looking at the types of people who make fangans. The majority of people I know who make fangans have very particular knowledge about certain fields due to experience or heavy research, and more often than not these fields do not include sports. They are more likely to make characters based on their experiences and knowledge that they can then insert into the story to make it seem more authentic.
I also, unsurprisingly, found that my "perfect" ratio was not reflected in many of the fangans I looked at. There was only one besides my own that followed that ratio.
Tumblr media
Now, if my "perfect" ratio is not the mathematically perfect ratio, then what is?
According to the data collected for the canon games, this is.
Tumblr media
This just so happens to also be the ratio for Trigger Happy Havoc.
According to the data collected from the fangans, this is the perfect ratio.
Tumblr media
The only fangan that followed this ratio exactly was Akeda Amusements. V3 also had this distribution.
When considering both mainline and fan made games, the perfect ratio was this.
Tumblr media
Ironically, not a single mainline game or fan game followed this ratio.
Out of curiosity, I also calculated the standard deviation for each data set.
Tumblr media
Canon Danganronpa has little to no variation, conveying that talent ratios are quite consistent between games. The biggest variation would be in the novelty category, making sense as V3 scaled down the amount of novelty ultimates compared to the other two games.
Tumblr media
The fangans are shown to have a much larger variation. Though I can't be surprised by this, as perhaps it is an unfair comparison. The mainline Danganronpa games were written by mostly the same team and had less to sample from, while the fangans have not only a larger sample size in which to deviate, but many different writers that think differently about talent distribution.
Final Thoughts
In putting this all together, I found that my classification system, while not perfect in any sense of the word, has some validity to it. If I wanted to, I could definitely make some improvements to it (especially in distinguishing between certain academic and practical fields from novelty), but as of now it works perfectly fine as an aide in cast creation for me.
My ratio is also not perfect, which was an expected outcome. Really none of the ratios I found are perfect, with none of them representing more than one or two of any mainline or fan made game. While ratios like the ones I found can be good for making sure you have a balanced distribution of talents, they aren't required to make a good cast. Personally, I'll continue using my personal "perfect" ratio as a baseline for any cast I make in the future.
I also had a lot of fun making this, and hope I can find a way to make more posts like this in the future. Thank you for reading this.

Tumblr media
As you stood in the corner of the dimly lit room, with no company other than the half-empty glass of red wine you’d been cradling for the past hour, you were beginning to question what you were doing at this New Year’s Eve party in the first place.
Of course, your mind was quick to point to the obvious reason - you had come because your friend asked you to. Because she had burst into your dorm room about a week ago with a sparkle in her eye and an invite to a party hosted by what she referred to as ‘high profile university elites’, which you understood as ‘popular kids who were yet to realise they’d already peaked in high school’. Nonetheless, her eagerness and incessant begging had somehow convinced you to trail along with her to the party and the numerous shopping trips preceding it.
You had to admit, there was a tiny part of you that was excited about it. You enjoyed going out and the occasional dance session but after an extremely stressful university semester you weren’t sure you could handle any more chaos or drama. But it was something different, something interesting - something to look forward to in the break routine your life had become. Especially since your friend seemed very insistent on the possibility of you meeting some new “hot singles”, and whilst the dig at your uneventful love life didn’t go unnoticed you let it slip considering it wasn’t entirely untrue.
Maybe it was this possibility that had urged you to tag along with her, despite not knowing any of the hosts or people she had listed out. However, if it weren’t for her constant reassurance that she would be at your side the entire night, you probably wouldn’t be standing at the front door of whatever unlucky house had been chosen to host the event, so dressed up you felt a little silly. Your hands trembled slightly at your sides and you felt stupid at how nervous you were. But, as the door opened for you by a boy who looked like he had already had too much to drink from his crooked tie, you swallowed your nerves and reminded yourself that even if you knew no on else, you had your friend to lean on.
At least, until a mere hour had passed into the party and she was nowhere to be found. She had told you she was going to go introduce herself to some other people and that she’d be back to meet you in the corner where she had left you. And the last you saw of her she had been standing a little too close to a guy you vaguely recognised from one of your marketing lectures, and hand ultimately decided best to leave her to enjoy herself - even if that meant awkwardly taking up space, biding your time, and avoiding eye contact with anyone.
Your friend had discussed at length, and much to your dismay, about how this wasn’t just any old New Year’s Eve party like one thrown at a frat house. Rather this was one organised by your university’s wealthiest, most popular, most talented students - which had been one of your biggest turn-offs from it initially. And as you leant against the corner of some vintage-looking wallpaper, you couldn’t help but observe the atmosphere that reeked of elitism, snobbery and daughter laughter. People around you chattered away without cares in the world, donning clothes that surely came from stores you weren’t wealthy enough to know of. Others danced in the centre of the dimly lit room, some moving with elegance and others waved their arms around, drunk on a mixture of whatever expensive bottles their peers had brought.
But, to your surprise, there was something - or rather someone - that managed to catch your eyes from the other side of the room. It was what seemed like the only other person not involved in some sort of conversation, dance circle, or the lips of whatever partner they had brought. And it seemed he had noticed you too by the way his deep brown eyes had locked onto yours, even in the shadowy lighting from where he sat on the cough. He was handsome, there was certainly no denying it, especially not when the eye contact and the slight quirk of his lips alone were enough to make your heart rate quicken. You took a shaky sip from your glass, watching as he ran a large hand through his dark hair that was styled in a way you could only describe as ‘princely’, the gold cufflinks on his shirt sleeve flashing as he did.
He’s way out of your league and your tax bracket, you remind yourself. But there’s something about the way this handsome stranger is looking at you that makes you feel compelled to him. Almost like he’s cast an invisible string around your waist and is slowly pulling you towards him. A grandfather clock in the corner tells you there’s less than half an hour until midnight and the strike of New Year’s, and until you can get out of here without missing too much. Half an hour to work up the courage to go up to him, talk to him, to do anything other than stand her paralysed under his intense, yet insanely attractive, gaze.
Your feet unstick themselves and go to take a step in his direction, until your friend appears suddenly around the corner, her hand already on your wrist. She’s talking to you about some people you “just have to meet”, half dragging you with her to the kitchen. But your eyes are still stuck on him, and he watches you go with an expression that’s equal parts amused and disappointed that your charged staring competition didn’t last longer.
You find yourself in a circle with three other people, forcing a smile on your face and trying your best to act as if you care while your friend introduces you to them. One’s an engineering major, the other in medicine, and the last you can’t even bother to remember, your brain busied with plans on how to get back to the lounge, and the handsome stranger. You nod incessantly as your new company drones on about final exams and papers, eager to have the conversation done with you.
“Well, seems like there’s not much time left until midnight,” one of them says, which catches your attention, and your friend laughs along.
“And you know what they say about a New Year’s kiss, hm?” she chimes in, “that failing to lock lips with anyone after the countdown will bring in a whole new year of loneliness!” She nudges your arm and you swallow the urge to make some excuse, settling on rolling your eyes with a resigned smile.
“You found the lucky guy yet?” the engineering major says, looking directly at you with a suggestive sort of look.
As if summoned by the question, you spot something out of the corner of your eye. A familiar tuft of dark hair snakes its way around the kitchen hallway - it’s him. Now that the two of you are standing you truly get a sense of how tall he is, and you can definitely see that the dark suit he’s wearing is doing his figure justice. He moves quickly, purposefully, as he pours himself another drink and is already making his way out of the kitchen. Though, not before looking back and shooting you a quick smile. The sight renders you incapable of speech and basic function, as you go to take a sip of your own drink and instead spill your glass’ remains onto your dress.
Your little circle erupts into groans and worried cries, your friend trying her best to laugh off the total fool you’ve made of yourself in front of them. Luckily though, it seems the handsome stranger didn’t stay long enough to witness your little accident, so you don’t mind too much as your friend ushers you off to one of the bathrooms, pushing past bodies that move along to the pulsing music. Your head throbs as your friend shoves you in and shuts the door behind her.
“I can’t believe you,” she sighs, grabbing handfuls of toilet paper and throwing them at you as you sit on the closed toilet seat, “that was so embarrassing, and you’ve completely ruined the dress we spent ages picking at.”
You clearly couldn’t care less as you dab at the large stain on your dress with indifference, as she paces back and forth and waves her hands around to express her frustration.
“It’s really not that big of a deal, they all seemed like assholes anyways,” you mutter. Your quip seems to calm her down as she takes a seat on the bathtub rim. She takes a moment to glance at her phone in her hand before letting out a tired sigh.
“And now there’s less than three minutes until midnight and neither of us is getting a New Year’s kiss.”
“There’s nothing keeping you in here with me, you know,” you say, a smile in your voice as you watch her expression turn hopeful.
“You really wouldn’t mind?”
“I mean, I don’t really want to spend New Year’s Eve alone but I don’t want you to as well, I think I’ll manage.”
She lets out a squeal, pulling you in for a quick hug whilst being careful not to get any of the red wine you’ve spilled on your dress onto hers.
“I’ll meet you outside in half an hour,” is the last thing she says to you before turning and leaving the bathroom to rejoin the crowd that’s formed to count down the seconds until midnight. It’s almost funny that you’re alone once more, only now with a gigantic red stain and under the harsh white light of this lavishly decorated bathroom. Sitting back against the toilet, you close your eyes and try your best to enjoy this moment of peace, and ignore the fact that this may just signal another year of loneliness - as your friend mentioned. You can hear the partygoers outside getting ready, pulling out tiny confetti canons and ushering others into the lounge.
“10!”
“9!”
Suddenly, the door opens and you jerk up to scold your unwelcome intruder. That is until you notice it’s him, the handsome stranger. He looks equally surprised to see you until you realise he probably wasn’t expecting anyone to be sitting alone in the bathroom during the countdown to New Year’s. Your throat is dry but you still manage to croak out some form of a response.
“What are you doing here?”
“I could ask you the same thing,” he says, and you notice he’s almost panting. You gesture to the stain on your dress with an expression that says “duh”.
“Oh, right, well I just wanted to get away from all the chaos and loudness, you know.”
“8!” The crowd outside keeps going, and they seem to be getting louder.
“You didn’t find any lucky girl to kiss when midnight struck?” you say, trying your best to make light of how insanely awkward this interaction is. He rubs the back of his neck and looks down at his feet shyly.
“Well I did, she was standing in the corner of the room all alone,” he takes a couple of steps towards you and his voice is sheepishly quiet.
“7!”
“She sounds like a loner,” you retort and he lets out a dry laugh. You’re trying to play it cool and act as if you’re not dying to just kiss him already, because you know that’d be too forward, especially for someone like you at a party like this.
“Well, I thought she was beautiful, at least until she got dragged away by her friend.”
“6!”
“Really?”
“Yeah, but then I saw her later in the kitchen talking to some guys and figured she’d be more interested in them.”
“5!”
“I’m sure they were boring,” you decide to play along with his game.
“Really?”
“Yeah, and I’m sure she would’ve much rather been talking to you instead of them, and hearing her friend talk about how if she didn’t kiss someone by midnight she’d have to deal with another year of being single,” this catches his attention, his eyebrow quirking up alongside a smirk spreading across his face.
“Really?”
“4!”
“Yep, until she spilled a bunch of wine on this dress she bought and ended up in the bathroom trying to clean it off.”
“3!”
”Sounds unfortunate.” He’s towering over you now, looking down at you with a softness in his eyes and a playfulness in his tone.
“Extremely.”
“2!”
You finally find the strength to stand up too, and almost immediately his hand finds its way around a strand of your hair, twirling it absent-mindedly. It moves to your cheek, then your chin, which he cups softly so that he can look into your eyes properly. You feel on fire underneath his touch. At this distance, he’s breathtaking. His eyes are almost enchanting and you feel tiny underneath their gaze, swallowing a lump nervously. He watches you intently, eyes flickering between his own and your lips - it’s clear what he’s thinking.
“1!”
The crowd outside erupts into cheers and the popping of confetti canons, but you’ve forgotten about them immediately as his lips crash into yours with a passion you realise haven’t experienced in a while. It’s not forceful though, it’s too perfect to be anything else. His hands snake around your body and support you - almost lifting you up into him, and you let him, your body turned to jelly under his touch. All the night’s eye contact, the silent messaging, the tension, has been squeezed into this single kiss and it just about knocks you off of your feet. Finally though, your lips separate, and you feel so dazed you can hardly form words.
“Carlos,” he says heavily.
“Huh?” you mumble, mind still processing.
“My name, my name is Carlos.”
“Oh, right, Happy New Year Carlos.”

Can i ask for Hajime, Makoto, Nagito and K1-B0 x reader that’s the Ultimate Unlucky Student? If this isn’t too much ^^ take your time because four characters can be a lot sometimes
hajime, makoto, nagito and k1-b0 with an s/o who's the ultimate unlucky student
type : headcanon, gn!reader
note : i'm assuming this is supposed to be in a headcanon format (sorry if not,,), this is overall just cute stuff :} i got a lil carried away, hope you don't mind! i apologize for the wait, i've been getting into fnaf lately,,,, springtrap,,,
requested : yes! greetings simp :D
Tumblr media
Hajime Hinata
hajime would be very confused at first, he'd ask if it's similar to nagito's ultimate and if it's a cycle of good and bad luck. when you told him it wasn't and shit was just constantly hitting the fan, he got a little worried.
it's usually small things like you falling face first on the ground because you forgot to tie your shoes, every animal known to man constantly attacking you or the coins falling out of your wallet whenever you tried to buy anything from a vending machine to be never seen again. yet sometimes, it would ruin dates the two of you wanted to have.
one time - when the two of you started dating - you decided to go to the beach to have a date. it was the middle summer and there weren't any clouds in the sky, yet the moment the two of you finished setting everything up it started raining. the worst part is as soon as both of you went home the sky cleared. hajime would be the type to awkwardly show up at your doorstep right after the failed date, soaking wet, asking if "you had room for two in your house".
overall, i don't think he'd take it too hard. even if some hangouts fail there's always room for more. he'd worry, of course, but not to the point where he'd restrict your movement and choices (only if you have the risk of getting ran over or something).
Tumblr media
Makoto Naegi
he's definitely the type to be constantly worried. although he is the ultimate lucky student he can only hope that his ultimate is enough to balance yours out (which usually just ends up the two of you sharing lucky and unlucky experiences).
before going out he'd tie your shoes extra tight, make sure you have a jacket if it's cold out or an umbrella if it's raining - with a smaller, spare umbrella inside your backpack if the first one broke. bought by the man himself! he'd be the type to grab your hand before crossing the road but not let you cross unless everything was right. by this i mean, no cars in the street, shoes tied, hand held, nothing in the way.
at the start of your relationship makoto thought he was being a bit too much but when you almost got ran over as you crossed the seemingly empty road he decided he could never be too sure.
altogether, he's worrying a lot. not in an annoying way, more of a "you're my troublesome child and i'll never let you out of my sight" type of way.

Nagito Komaeda
oh no. the good luck? still there. not a lot though. the bad luck? double. the cycle is still there, it's just that now whenever something bad happens it's two times worse.
nagito would be very nonchalant over both your talents and not let it get in the way of your dates. for example, if it started raining heavily during a walk and he noticed it was starting to flood the streets he'd try to convince you to go buy floaties to float down the street together. hopefully his good luck comes around quickly! you don't feel like getting stuck somewhere or drowning.
if you did get hurt he'd degrade himself - even if why or how you got hurt had nothing to do with him - and pay for your hospital bills. i feel like nagito would be the type to pamper his partner a lot with little gifts and try to carry you up the stairs if you broke your leg(s). And fail miserably at doing so.
he'd get into shit with you to just go "haha, my bad. how could i let this happen?"
Tumblr media
K1-B0
kiibo. my sweet baby. like hajime, he'd ask a lot of questions when first meeting you! throughout time he'd get used to it and do his best to help you out. your gloves got ripped up by unknown causes and it's snowing? he'll use his hairdryer function to "breathe" onto your hands to quickly warm them up and when the two of you get home he'll sew them back up.
if you get hurt he wouldn't be able to carry you or anything (he's not particularly the strongest and his back pain doesn't help) but he'd take care of you afterwards! be it cooking meals, or cleaning the house.
everytime you get home he'll stop you at the door while concentrating reallyyy hard to use his zooming function to see if you're alright. doesn't do much, but you let it slide if it helps calm his worry.
so even if he's not able to support you during your spikes of your bad luck, he'll gladly lend you a hand afterwards!

Happy Birthday Teruko Tawaki!
It's the protag's turn for a birthday post! You know what that means! Small character analysis, fun facts and songs that remind me of her! Let's celebrate! Just make sure to bring out the fire extinguisher before lighting any candles... actually just keep the extinguisher handy in general :v
Tumblr media
-Being the protagonist of the series, we actually know quite a lot about her backstory. Enough to know it's quite sad in general terms. This is because she appears to have supernaturally horrendous luck, which she claims affects her and those around her. She's mentioned several instances of highly unlikely, unlucky situations she gets into constantly. From washing machine explosions, vehicles crashing, theaters being "too flammable" for her, all the way to being stuck in a killing game where she gets betrayed, stabbed, her friends die, etc.
-She's an orphan who's never known her parents. She had a brother who was compassionate, but constantly hurt by her misfortune. That brother got adopted when Teruko was around five, and she's never seen him since.
-She doesn't have an ID, which meant she had to attend schools by stealing uniforms and infiltrating them. She then usually gets caught and repeats the process several times a year. She is also in a lot of medical debt as a result of her constant injuries. Given all of this, she actually prefers living trapped in the killing game, though obviously she'd rather not have people killing each other around her.
CW Suicide
-That said, it seems her luck prevents her from dying. She told Xander that she wouldn't die because she was the Ultimate Lucky Student, and it was implied she's unsuccessfully attempted suicide by hanging.
CW over
-This misfortune has led her to develop a tremendously pessimistic view of the world and her life, believing her fate can't be changed and resigning herself to her bad luck.
-This also extends to her relationships. She tried to be amicable at the beginning of the killing game, but after Xander stabbed her, she decided to stop trusting everyone else. She now carries around her unique weapon, a hunting knife, for self-defense. This is a pretty understandable reaction given everything she's gone through, but it will inevitably go wrong (prediction).
-Her numeral in the David MV is unlucky number 13 (XIII). Go to 1:22:20 on this video for an explanation!
-The secret quote on her page's source code is "It is an equal failing to trust everybody, and to trust no one at all." Probably something she'll say in the final trial, given that this is one of the main messages the series seems to be aiming for.
-The quote on Mai's page attached to Teruko is "Some years ago, she was searching for someone named ‘Teruko Tawaki.’"
...
-Yeah, Teruko's relationship with Mai is one of the most mysterious parts of this series. Given that quote, it's very possible they knew each other several years before the killing game, got separated, and reunited some time before the killing game. After all, Teruko does remember meeting with Mai in the CH 1 Ep 6 dream sequence. If you want to read some of my other opinions on Teruko and Mai, I'll recommend reading the related portion of this post.
-Though adding to that, Teruko and Mai seem to have matching phone charms :D
-There is a lot more to talk about with Teruko, but I'm done for the day :v
Fun facts!
-Her nationality is "legally in question", whatever that means.
-She's left-handed, the only lefty in the cast!
-In kanji, her name is spelt 田脇【た ・ わき】暁子【て る ・ こ】
-She has prosopagnosia, aka face blindness. And fun fact about me, I actually have this too! I may have learnt about it when Teruko was a bit too relatable in that one conversation-
-Her favorite color is red due to "association." Possibly because it's Mai's hair color. Her least favorite color is pitch black because it's unsettling.
-Her hair recently started turning grey, probably from stress. Wild.
-Her favorite ice cream flavor is red bean.
-Her sexuality is unlabeled.
-She smells of dirt, sawdust, and burnt smell.
-Straight from a Q&A, "Her fashion sense diverges from what she’d actually wear. Secretly she wants to wear girly, cute things, but is unable to afford that kind of thing. She likes skirts."
-She likes fresh food, food which can be prepared without endangering herself with knives and stoves.
-Her birthday, January 7th, lands on "distaff day", "I am a mentor day", "old rock day", "bobblehead day"... still don't know how these come about. I think my favorite for this day is "I'm not going to take it anymore day." That's hilariously in character for Teruko xD
Songs!
-Again by Crusher-P
-The Things I Deserve by Ghost & Pals
-God-ish by Pinocchio P
-The Medical Anomaly by RIProducer
-End-World Normopathy by Ghost & Pals
-Scapeg∞at by Ghost & Pals
-Chronic Wasting Disease by RIProducer
-Those Who Carried On by Ghost & Pals
And Happy Birthday! Well, that was fun. Now I have to deal with the meteorite which struck me midway through writing this post! Take care!
(to be clear the meteorite thing is a joke)

My fragment of Hope
Tumblr media
(Supposed to be a one shot but it got too long)
Pt: 1
Summary: When the ultimate lucky student, Nagito Komeada, meets the ultimate unlucky student.
— The hope he ached for was suddenly missing when he looked into your eyes. That’s when he realized the hope he desperately wanted wasn’t the talent, but you.
But what do you know? He’s just a man obsessed with hope, and you despised it.
You groaned at the suns vibrance as it blinded your eyes. Almost with instinct you pick up your hand covering the sun. Where were you? An island? How? It was too many questions that only made your head hurt. Before getting the chance to even grasp what was happening you suddenly felt an object in your pocket, you couldn’t recognize it as your belonging. But it spoke for its self. “Get all the hope fragments from your classmates to continue this trip!”
My classmates! The last place you were at was school. It made you realize, at least you weren’t alone here.
But it was weird.. you couldn’t remember them. And you had to be just as useless too. Ultimate Unlucky student? It was—
You felt a sudden gasp leave your lips as your body hit the soft milky sand. You would’ve just screamed if your face wasn’t flat on the ground. You swayed your head to remove the remaining particles left on your face before turning to your feet. It was your white shoe lace that laid on the ground. Huh. -Was I lucky enough it wasn’t on the cement?- it was weird to have a sudden touch of hope. But it didn’t last with your situation, stomach first on the ground while you awkwardly turned behind you.
You quickly picked yourself up from the ground. Your cloths were nothing flashy at that so there was no need to worry about all the sand that covered you. What did you expect with your luck anyway. You finished the now tied shoelace, wondering where to go now.
“Ah- Hello!” You flipped your head to a voice, what you saw was a pale skinny man that was slowly walking towards you. His hair was messy, tall, and questionable fashion choice. But you couldn’t talk, you didn’t look any better.
You slowly waved. “Hello..” It came to you, friendship fragments!— or whatever it was. You two must be the first ones awake from the island.. on this side at least.
“I don’t mean to disturb you with my presence” He murmured having a guilty look smeared on his face. “—but the names nagito komeada” He continued. “Ultimate Lucky Student”
“Hm..?” You say in disbelief. You tried to keep a poker face but it didn’t matter. Nagito already knew, Your body language said it all.
“Is something wrong? Im sorry if it was me—“
“No!.. it’s just.. nevermind. The name is Y/n L/n. Ultimate unlucky student” Your shock easily became relatable to him after those words.
“Unlucky?” He questioned. A awkward silence filled our throats. It was almost like tension “Hah.. what do I even say? I’m lucky to meet you” He had a sudden look that you couldn’t picture, but it quickly disappeared once he looked into your eyes.
For some reason- no it was obvious that you were being weirded the fuck out. “How can you say that? At least you have good purpose. I’m just here so people can feel better about themselves” You said with a faint laugh.
“But your such wonder can’t go to waste. It’s.. hopeful“
“Oh really?” He just nodded while looking to the side. For some you guys lacked the need to talk, it was probably circumstance that made you guys want to explore more. “It was nice meeting you.” You murmured watching him slowly walk away after those words.
“It was nice seeing another person.. bye y/n” he last said before disappearing. I felt a beep in my pocket. One friendship fragment obtained.
You rolled your eyes before turning back to the water, it was beauty if you had to be honest. If you were gonna be trapped at least it could be something you can even slightly enjoy with your luck, which was none.
“God damn it.. what is up with me?” You say tugging at a strand of hair, you start waking down the beach to clear your mind. But he was lingering in your head. For starts you knew he was much more than just a smiley man. He was weird enough already, so what could be making you so interested?
“Hope.” You say looking at the ground. That’s the first word you can think of when it was him. You want to know him. Why were you desperate?
You tried to relax your body on a tree to daze off, but instead you were threatened with a coconut falling on your head. “Ow- fuck!”
— NAGITO POV
Hope. It was all I thought about. it’s all this island really means to me. “Hmm..”
Unlucky student. For some reason I had a hard time understanding that talent. But it didn’t lack what I craved. Especially since all I yearned for is the hope that it can spread—! ..maybe she would understand.. maybe.
For some reason she itched more than the fact I was trapped here. Would our talents balance each other? I looked up again remembering the clear unreal environment surrounding me, but there was something in my gaze.
A person? I walked up seeing a dazed brown haired man laying on the sand. “Hello..?”
—TIME SKIP first night (Y/n POV )
What I thought was gonna be a silent fun experience, a trip with people I can.. somewhat relate too, turned into my biggest nightmare. How can I trust them after learning the fact they can kill me? Was it my luck? It only made my head throb. And laying in this bed didn’t help. I looked around my room as a plush caught my eye, that damn bear.
Maybe a walk could help. What am I thinking? My bad luck, going out into a place where anyone can murder me..? I did the opposite of what I should do, Listen to my gut.
I jumped off the bed throwing on a jacket and started to slowly open the door.
It was well cared of and was noiseless from all the other times I used it. So why now!? A loud creak echoed from the door once I silently nudged it open. It made me take a pause, I was too dazed to give up now. I tip-toed off the deck, walking towards the dining room. It was a relaxing feeling that I could remember from when I first woke up, when things were normal.
Normal. Monokuma I swear once I leave this place—
I was awoken from my daze when a voice was behind me.
“What are you doing outside the cabin?” I jumped suddenly having instincts. I quickly went into the self defense positions Akane taught me, but I felt my arms fall gently down to my sides realizing who it was. He kept his distance being full aware of the situation. Of course it was him, him and his luck finding me too.
“Do you plan to kill me Nagito? I didn’t expect anyone else to be out following me.” I mumble, but loud enough for him to hear. He laughed facing the ground.
“Trust me, I didn’t follow you. And who knows.. you can kill me just as much. Not that I would mind-“
“Trust is a strong word, you know that the most.” I say, but in the moment of silence I started to ease up myself. “And It would be too risky anyway.” Nagito hummed enjoying your way of thinking. I slowly watched him walk off to flicker up lights I didn’t know existed, it helped me take a better look at him.
“So.. why are you out here?” He asked “Not that I deserve to know..”
“I could ask you the same thing.” He took a glance at you but shrugged. He didn’t seem like someone to pressure anyone. “..but I just wanted to take a walk to cool my mind from the situation”
“I guess I could say the same thing” He hushed. We took a few minutes of silence together before he broke it. “It’s crazy..” I perked my head at him, listening. “The ultimates have to work together needing hope if whether or not they can trust eachother. It’s so..”
His eyes.. it’s the same eyes from the first time. “—So absurd.” I say breaking his trance of thinking.
“Ah.. I’m sorry. I got too relaxed” I nodded gently, about to take a step towards him. These damn shoe laces— I felt my body trip to the harsh wooden floor board that created a huge bang noise. Would that bear care if I’m here?
I took a pause grasping the situation before quickly standing up. I brushed my elbows that took most of the fall. “Pfft..” I heard silent laughter next to me. I huffed turning away.
“I don’t wanna hear it..” I mumble bitting my cheek.
“I’m sorry! I really am” That didn’t help at all since I could still hear his muffled laughter. But.. it made me laugh as well ..and this time it was real from him. Not that facaded smile he always showed off.
Once it died down we both took a seat. “I never thought I would be here with you” I say wanting to enjoy the “normal” demeanor I got from him.
“I feel the same! Graced in your presence.” ..that’s a weird way to respond but I guess we’re getting somewhere.
“Did you rely on luck to find me?” I asked. It honestly had him startled with how off topic it was. “Or maybe I’m stupid.”
“I wouldn’t underestimate someone so hopeful like you—“ I’m usually a composed person, but sometimes I lose myself from my mind.
“Why do you talk like that? Like I’m some.. some.. I don’t know! I’m not anyone special” I say, but it sounded more damanding than the truth. “It’s just frustrating sometimes”
That’s when it hit me. Why am I suddenly attacking him? “-Sorry.” I gasp rubbing my palms. “The situation is getting to me” I try to excuse myself back to my room but I felt a hand leech on to my arm. Normally, I would instantly pull myself away. But for some reason I wanted to listen.
“I can’t do anything with how I see things. But trust me— If you even can.. your like a friend” I was too flushed to really try and identify if whether or not he was telling the truth. But I stayed. Was this a feeling of trust? His hand slowly slid down to mine. I didn’t know if I should pull away.
“Do you really even want to even be near me with my luck?” I say looking down to him gently holding my hand.
“I thought it was my job to degrade myself.” I gave him a silent look. “..haha.”
“Your funny you know?”
“Am I?” I couldn’t tell if it was a mutual feeling but I enjoyed being here.
“Ok ok.. now let go of me funny guy—“
“APUPUPU! What are you doing my students! Back to the cabins, I’m getting tired of this monkey business..” We both jumped back from Monokumas sudden appearance. My mouth gaped at him while Nagito had a nonchalant look as if this happens everyday. “Your lucky it’s the first day! Don’t let me catch you again unless you really want to be killed!.. can’t even leave them unsupervised for even a minute” Monokuma murmured the last part to himself.
I know it was meant to be a threat but it was funny coming from a small bear. We turned to each other muffling our laughter. Nagito stood up from the table following me down the stairs, we didn’t split ways till reaching the cabins. “It’s supposed to be an island of despair.. but this was pretty fun Y/n.”
“I can say the same.” We both took a final look before heading our opposite directions. He was.. definitely someone I could remember. I almost forget about my own talent. After stepping into my cabin I threw my shoes by the door and went to unzip my sweater. “Hmp.. why.. won’t.. you..!” I say struggling to pull it down. Did it jam!?
TIME SKIP day of the party.
It was spotless, cleared, and even prepared for the occasion Byakuya planned. It was good to trust nagito. But it still lingered in my head, how was it him the one that lost? When I’m the ultimate unlucky student? It almost made me feel unsure how “ultimately lucky” he is.
But in his defense it was a awkward position between me and nagito. There was only a stick left while everyone else grabbed their own. In his words, out of guilt he decided to take it for me. By now I’ve forgotten the whole mess but decided to enjoy what was in front of me.
I said a simple hello to the girl at the front door, her name is chiaki nanami. She was the person you could never hate. We shared a simple conversation before I finally walked in.
“WELCOMEE!!” A energetic girl screamed out for me. I just silently laughed before waving back. After looking around the main room I noticed everyone else was here already, but fuyuhiko. I started greeting the others finally getting the chance to talk and interact with everyone a little bit more.
“Haha! Nice to meet you twig!” The coach cheered in delight, his sidekick agreed next to him.
“..nice to meet you too..!” I murmured trying to decide if that was a compliment or not. Their names were Nekomaru and Akane, there was a lot of things to thank them for but I left them to their.. moment. They both seemed out of it, probably hungry?
“Your pretty lucky for once” I heard peko murmur behind me. Well that’s not a thing I usually hear.
“How come?”
“There was a situation about dangerous weapons being in the food, skewers to be exact. It just made a huge ruckus”
“Really?” I gasped, but realized exactly why that would happen. “I mean coming from byakuya I guess he would be worried about every chance of death” I last say before watching her walk away.
..
“My dark devas sense it coming from.. you!!!” I heard from the distance, I turned my head seeing Gundham point towards me.
“W-What?”
“Oh shut it dude! It’s just a woman! Are you scared of them or something?” Kazuichi scoffed trying to scold him. Huh.. thanks—
“Maybe gundham is speaking truth!” A blonde princess said behind him. Really!? You too? ..for once thanks kazuichi—
“Ah- miss Sonia!? Your right! She’s been giving weird vibes” ok, nevermimd mind then.
“Not like that! Hmp.. she’s a wonderful girl. If you were listening to what we were saying, it was about who was most likely to be a princess!” Gundham and her laughed together.
“O-Oh..” Kazuichi begged on his knees for forgiveness. “I’m sorry miss Sonia!”
I loved them really. Gundham was a fun guy to be with, kazuichi was easily a relatable person, and Sonia just really had the heart of someone to a throne. But what just happened.
“Ew-! Stay away pig barf!” The dancer groaned on the side talking to the doctor. Mikan cried in response walking away from her. Some people aren’t as nice.
I suddenly heard the room get loud when we were finally allowed to eat from the one and only Teru Teru, I will say he is quite.. weird.. but his food never disappoints. I looked around already seeing people shove their face in it, like Akane who is now thriving after some food.
I only laughed about to grab a plate of my own but I soon guessed a familiar presence behind me. It was Nagito and hajime. They both slowly walked in with a laugh before splitting up around the room. I couldn’t help but find myself staring at—
“Care to eat? Can’t have you starving” Nagito said. He lightly laughed at my face, I didn’t expect him to walk towards me first.. I just rolled my eyes in response before grabbing a plate for me and him. After walking around a bit, we slowly found ourselves to the near back of the room after he grabbed his own beverage. I took one bite and my whole word suddenly lit up. “Good, Right?” He asked.
“Amazing.” I grin, still taking my time consuming what was on my plate. He also took a small bite before turning back to me.
“Wow.. I didn’t expect anything less from Teru Teru!” I just laughed at his expression. We ate in silence together, and it was peaceful. Seeing everyone have fun, eating, interacting, It was like a dream. A reassurance that I’m one of their classmates— “I should’ve said it before but you look pretty” I almost choked on my food from his words. is this really a dream? I punched my throat, forcing the food down before looking up at him eye to eye.
“Why did you say that so suddenly?.. I always look like this.” I question, raising a teasing eyebrow at him.
“Just thought you’d like to know” I felt my face go hot. What is up with him? Since when did he start saying stuff like this!?
I mumbled some words trying to avoid the fact he was looking at me. “If we’re doing that then you look—“
*BEEP BEEP*
“..what was that?” I last say before everything in my vision turned into pitch black. The lights went out..?
I heard people yell out in response trying to identify who and what was around the room. Doing the same, I grabbed on to the table to try and move around in the dark. But instead the cloth slipped out of hand making me trip. “O-Ow!” I groaned also feeling a plate of food fall on top me, probably making a mess. Where was nagito..? Wasn’t he just right next to me.. I assumed the best that he was trying to walk around. I jumped up from the floor with adrenaline, I couldn’t tell what was happening anymore. It was only foot steps and voices.
The lump in my throat grew bigger, what if— I shook my head, there’s no way.. we’re classmates. Why would someone do such a thing? “Is everyone alright?” I tried to say. Am I stupid? Why would anyone be ok!?
But suddenly, the darkness disappeared. My eye twitched at the suddenly light but it was a lot better than darkness. I looked around and saw..
“M-Mikan!? Why are you..” I hush turning my head away from her erotic pose. Everyone else felt the same as Sonia finally helping her out. We gathered up in a circle, finally seeing Nagito. I’ll.. I’ll ask later. They went on about kazuichi and the lights till an actual point stood out. “So we.. don’t know where Byakuya is?” I ask. They looked around and all I got was nods.
We all decided to start looking for him, I mean we had too. He promised to protect us and we had to do the same. I first started with the back, I assumed we would also be someone to start looking for lights. “You think he was murdered?” I recognize that raspy voice, and sometimes I wish I didn’t.
“No.” I say with ease. He smiled at my response and internally decided to join my investigation. Although it meant nothing since personally, I’m not good at this type of stuff.. before we could continue room by room we heard everyone call for us. Quickly we ran over seeing everyone’s gaze on one table. I felt my entire world crash smelling the blood. Was I gonna vomit?
I turned my head away covering my mouth hearing the screams after seeing a dead body. I felt my eye Dilate trying to force myself to look, I had to be useful.. I didn’t.. wanna be there for no reason. Turning my head around I felt a cold hand reach the top of my fingers. I knew who it was, and I didn’t bother to look. With that comfort I brought myself to look. God. I’ll miss him. I can’t let the murderer get away with this.
I wanted to have my own justice monologue in my head but there was one more thing I had to do. “Thanks.” I whisper to him before investigating, who knew that would be on the few last times I will ever see him as a normal person.
TIME SKIP after first trial.
Teru Teru was found guilty for murder, we couldn’t believe it. Until we had to watch his merciless execution that felt like hours. It only made the room go into panic, despair. It showed how serious this game really was. But I only had one thought throughout the trial. Nagito komeada, the man I thought I could most relate too.
I held on to my chest while my throat tighten. Was the man in front of me.. really Nagito? I should’ve known he was more than just a sweet guy, so why did I still let you get into my head? I tried to look at the person who was willing to kill and sacrifice in the name of hope, it was disgusting. I almost gagged trying to look at him.
“Nagito.. Are you serious?” He was too busy in his own daze before realizing who took notice into him. He only shared a cheeky smile.
“It had to be done, if only it was me that really did it.. but I enjoyed our time together. I hope you understand—“
“Understand what!? That your fucking crazy! For once I really thought I found someone to— to trust..” I started to let my emotions take over my voice. I tried to keep my mouth shut since it didn’t seem to mean anything to him.
But the more I tried to kept silent, it just made me even more pissed off. How could he not feel guilty for toying with me like I was just some stepping stone? Holding my hand? Comforting me? I should’ve left the dining room before ever feeling his hand on mine. He kept on taking and talking.. I just wanted too—
“I hate you so.. so much if it even mattered anymore. Don’t ever touch me again you damn scum” I say before storming out. I could hear Sonia’s voice calling after me but everyone else knew there was no point. Even so I could care less about what happened to him with the rest of the group, either it be death or trapping him in a room.
“As long as I don’t have to see his pathetic face” I mumble to myself trying to stop my face from crying, I couldn’t let him get any satisfaction. But I knew I was going too anyway. The liquid substance falling from my eye proved it. I wiped it off before fidgeting with my sweater. All I knew is i wanted to stab my pillow with every single fiber of my body for even having the thought of trusting him.
When I finally met my room I slammed the door shut and locked it for my own sake. I’ve never wanted to go to sleep so bad. I laid myself on the bed while shoving my head into the pillow on the verge of screaming with tears falling down my now rosy cheek. I still found a way to fall asleep, but with the nightmare of waking up.
AUTHORS NOTE: this was wow. WOWWOWW :v Also pt 2 is coming!! but don’t expect it to be quick :c this alone took me 4 days.. I will take suggestions for any character interactions (since the plan was to only show Nagito but I love everyone else too much) and any requested parts to the story! Like a free time event between you and him. ANYWAYSS hoped you enjoyed this!

ik it's a topic that's been done to death but, thoughts on the poor handling of consequences in mha?
The consequence handling in My Hero Academia does very much suck, but I can somewhat understand the reasoning for it.
For me, the first instance that comes to mind was the first training exercise pitting Midoriya and Uraraka against Bakugou and Iida. The instance I'm talking about is specifically the later stage of the exercise where Bakugou launched a full-power blast directly at Midoriya despite specifically being told not to.
I don't have a lot to say about this one, Bakugou ignored a direct order and - when told that the blast could potentially kill Midoriya - claimed that "he'll [Midoriya] be fine if he dodges." The exercise should've immediately been terminated and Bakugou should've been punished for:
Disobeying a direct order from the supervising teacher.
Displaying a lack of consideration or care for a fellow student.
Yes, I am aware that this was the first exercise that they'd participated in, and that rash actions/decisions are probably to be expected. But this kind of behaviour/thinking should've been nipped in the bud immediately.
The second instance that comes to mind is the Hosu incident from the Hero Killer Arc, where Midoriya, Iida, and Todoroki weren't credited for taking Stain down.
Now, why did this make sense?
It gets mentioned after the incident that while their actions were ultimately a good thing, they had also technically broken the law because they hadn't been given permission to engage the villain/use their quirks. If their involvement was made public then it could've damaged their chances going forward. However, I do think that the whole thing could've been handled a bit better.
When Midoriya headed into the city with Gran Torino, it was specifically to look for villains and - in the context of the previous conversation - it was specifically so Midoriya could gain some experience fighting different types of opponents with his new technique. While it's true he wasn't explicitly given permission to engage, it was already heavily implied that he would be allowed to.
Granted, we didn't see much of Iida and Todoroki before their involvement in the fight. But, based on what we knew of Endeavor at this stage in the series, I find it very strange that he wouldn't have already given Todoroki clearance to engage especially since it was made clear that he'd already received some form of "training" before U.A. Iida, however, did very much run off on his own. But, again, we don't really see much of their sides.
The issue with arc was very much a lack of clarity.
The third instance was the final exams I believe? Now, again, this one does make some kind of sense. So this one's going to be looking at Sero, Kaminari & Mina, Midoriya & Bakugou.
So, first one up, Sero. I think the issue that a lot of people take with this one is that Sero did contribute quite a bit towards his exam with Mineta, and I do agree that Mineta would've failed if not for the help Sero provided. However, the students were informed that they would fail the exam if they were either incapacitated, or they ran out of time. Sero was incapacitated so - as much as it sucks - it wasn't entirely unfair. He just got unlucky.
The exam with Kaminari and Mina, I feel, is the midway point on this scale. It's important to bare in mind that the purpose the exams was to make the students face the areas they're weaker in and see how they manage to work around it (if at all). Nezu was a pretty good opponent as far as that goal went, however - while it was played up for comedy - I do believe he went overboard. I'm not saying he should've gone easy on them because that wouldn't have been at all helpful in the long run, but I do think he took it too far.
And then, of course, there's the clusterfuck that was Midoriya and Bakugou's exam. From the get go this exam was heavily weighted towards Bakugou's development and not Midoriya's.
Midoriya has shown a willingness to work with others since day one, we saw it in the first battle trial with Uraraka, we saw it in the sports festival, we saw it in the Hero Killer arc. Midoriya will work with anyone.
This is exactly why he was paired up with Bakugou, who - at this stage - showcased a generally bad disposition towards teamwork of any kind, especially teamwork of any kind with Midoriya. He went as far as to physically attack Midoriya during the exam, which should have been an immediate disqualification. Yes, it was an exam, but it was a simulation intended to form an idea of how the students would operate in the field at their current level. Attacking your allies is not acceptable behaviour.
Of course, he did ultimately decide to work with Midoriya eventually, but by that point he should've already been disqualified.
As far as I can tell, the only issue they really had with Midoriya at this stage was the whole "putting All Might on a pedestal" thing. And while I agree that it was an issue that needed to be dealt with, it shouldn't have been done in a high-stress situation while also having him effectively serve as a stepping stone for Bakugou's development.
It's also worth mentioning that All Might (like Nezu) went way overboard given the nature of the assignment, but the series did at least acknowledge that part, so I won't linger on it for too long.
And finally, the fight between Midoriya and Bakugou after the provisional license exam.
Quite simply, Bakugou was the one in the wrong here. He specifically instructed Midoriya to go with him, he specifically led him somewhere where he thought there wouldn't be any witnesses, and he was the one to instigate the fight.
Yes, Midoriya did eventually start fighting back. But it's important to note that Midoriya didn't start fighting back immediately, instead he tried to calm the situation down and keep out of the way, and even if he didn't start fighting back it seemed highly unlikely that Bakugou would've let him leave without dealing some damage.
I do understand why Midoriya was punished, since he did ultimately join the fight. And his punishment was admittedly lighter, though not by much considering he only did so because he wasn't being given another option.
Now, I have heard people say that the main reason Bakugou picked this fight in the first place was because of the guilt he felt over All Might's retirement, because fighting was the only way he knew how to process his emotions (which does raise some flags) and he wanted someone to punish him. And, while that does provide an explanation, it doesn't excuse his actions.
The main thing about this instance that bugs me, is that I'm pretty sure that this was the event that led to Bakugou finally being told about One For All (I could be remembering wrong because it's been a while since I watched that season, so take this bit with a pinch of salt). Yes I know Midoriya let it slip in the first season but since Bakugou didn't seem to believe him at the time, I'm not counting it.
At this stage (particularly under these specific circumstances) Bakugou had not displayed enough maturity to be told the specifics about a secret had very little to do with him (if at all), especially since All Might himself had already pointed out how dangerous it could be if too many people found out. Of course, Bakugou himself made no attempts to reveal the secret afterwards, but the fact remains that his prior behaviour - at least, as far as I'm concerned - in no way indicated that he could be trusted with that kind of information, especially not since it involved Midoriya.

How do you think Makoto`s and Nagito`s luck work?
Tumblr media
*deeep breath*
*Slams my ruler onto the whiteboard* ALRIGHT
To understand Makoto and Nagito's luck, we must first understand Luck in the Danganronpa universe.
First off their are multiple types of luck, and not all luck talents are built the same. That's the first thing you need to understand, every luck talent is a unique personal talent to each individual. Luck talents can't really be compared because they're so different from each other and can even create other talents.
Case in point the true second luck talent we had in the series...CELESTIA LUDENBERG. While not the ultimate lucky student, her gambling talent is NEAR COMPLETE LUCK, something she FREELY ADMITS.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
While this kind of thinking is more associated with Komaeda, it is actually CELESTE who first brings up luck as something beyond just chance, but instead as something more akin to religion. She even compares it to fate, Celestia will tell us in her FIRST free time event exactly what she thinks of luck. Which correlates well with Komaeda’s thinking. First of all the immutability of it, that you are simply born with that luck and nothing can ever change it, then there is the thought there is no inbetween luck it is only Good luck or Bad luck and it’s those two things that determine basically everything. Celestia and Komaeda have a very similar worldview, the only difference is the fact Celeste’s luck is only good and has such given her a much more positive view of it. Celeste seems to have spent a lot of time thinking about luck, and has a lot of faith in it, seen how in another free time events despite not knowing how to even play, she won a Shogi gambling competition.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While Celeste has a habit of exaggerating and dramatics, I think she’s telling the truth about this story, it matches up with her beliefs after all. No skill or talent carried her through to the end and to victory, just pure luck, her gambling luck that is the basis of her talent.
From this we learn that luck talents are much broader then just ‘lucky student’ and can make up a lot of different talents based on how it presents themselves with everyone having unique sets of luck and activation requirements. With both her and Komaeda sharing similar views on luck, it’s clear that those with lucky talents tend to find luck to be immutable and simply just a piece of ones self that can never be changed. Luck is everything to those with powerful enough luck, to the point it becomes almost blinding and overshadows skill, though Celeste seems to feel a bit ashamed that she didn’t at least make an attempt at having skill at Shogi. A little dog can’t become a big dog, and someone with bad gambling luck can never have good gambling luck and vice versa.
This isn’t true.
As you may have noticed if her gambling luck is that good that it overrides skill completely, then how did she lose? By how her talent works as long as it’s a gamble, she wins. Period. Nothing to be done about it. How did she lose the gamble of her life?
Easy, Makoto’s luck works as a luck nullifier.
You may be asking what the hell I’m talking about and I redirect your attention to the short story of Makoto Naegi’s Worst Day Ever.
“People often say that men are defined by their names, and indeed, in his thirty-two years on Earth, Jutarou had never once thought of himself as unlucky. In fact, he had been blessed with abnormally good luck. By the very nature of his work, he had found himself in a number of dangerous situations in the past, but every time—without fail—a series of fortunate flukes guided him to safety.
While his luck could be considered one of his strengths, he wasn’t fond of admitting it.
Rather, allowing himself to end up in situations where the outcome was in fate’s hands was unacceptable to him. He knew good and well that, in his line of work, even the smallest of slip-ups could mean disaster.
Jutarou was a thief.
The most important thing to him when he was on a job was reducing the potential influence of forces outside his control—luck, other people—to an absolute minimum. In his mind, a thorough, well crafted plan was the cornerstone of any job. He always formulated and executed his plans by himself, and any job for which that wasn’t possible, he wouldn’t take. There was nothing worse than being betrayed by a partner who let his greed get to his head, and besides, Jutarou didn’t need anyone slowing him down. And he especially didn’t need to be asking for help from on high.
Naturally, his current job was no different. He had planned everything and put that plan into action all by himself. His target had been a small jewelry store in a nearby shopping district. Jutarou had received information that, despite looking run-down, the store had a hidden stash of extremely valuable jewels. And to top it off, the owner was a bit of a penny-pincher, so security was light.
It was an incredible opportunity—the kind that you only ever got once or twice.
So Jutarou crafted an intricate, but bold, plan, and then he went through with it. Naturally—as far as he was concerned—everything went without a hitch, exactly as it was supposed to. His plan was perfect, leaving no room whatsoever for outside interference. And there had been none.
Spoils tucked away in his bag, he calmly stepped onto the bus. Jutarou liked to make use of public transportation as much as possible while on a job. It was easier to blend into the crowd in a bustling city by riding a bus or train than it was driving a car or motorcycle, and by dressing like a businessman on the job, he practically disappeared.
The disguise worked, too. Not a person on that bus gave him a second look as he took an open seat at the front.
Finally certain he had completed his work, Jutarou let out a small sigh of relief. As the bus vibrated gently beneath him, he silently basked in the satisfaction of a job well done.
And then, a sick twist of fate made quick work of everything he had accomplished. Only, it wasn’t his luck that laid everything to waste—rather, he was just caught in the crossfire of some teenage boy’s misfortune. Some boy who just happened to climb onto the same bus as him. It was a stroke of bad luck so overwhelming that even Jutarou who, up to that point, had been blessed with such incredibly good luck, was helpless to prevent it”
Meet Jutarou who appears to have a luck talent of his own, the main antagonist in the short story. While he doesn’t like purely to rely on it, he notes that he is a very lucky man and multiple times in the story comments about how his luck never fails him. Until it does. Makoto Naegi’s bad luck was so strong, it had OVERRIDDEN his good luck, giving Jutarou bad luck to give Makoto WORSE luck.
This trend continues throughout the story, despite Jutarou’s best efforts and best luck to get himself not arrested, Makoto’s sheer bad luck is enough to dissuade EVERY attempt as the situation only gets worse and worse for Makoto until it ends up with the groceries that Makoto was ORIGINALLY SENT TO GET ending up basically exploding.
This incident directly leads into Makoto getting into Hope’s Peak, as his luck is SO BAD that in that same explosion the original lottery winners invitation gets destroyed and they do a new drawing, this time pulling Makoto’s name.
Luck talents have no effect on Makoto because his luck counteracts it, it doesnt matter how good your luck is, if Makoto’s luck wants to involve you, you have no control over the luck in the situation anymore. From this we learn Luck talents interacting with each other can have odd effects, especially if Makoto is involved.
There is a second piece of evidence that Luck talents aren’t quite as straightforward as “you’re born with it” and his name, is the mortal god himself, Izuru Kamukura
As Hajime Hinata, his luck is well, it’s not great, but I wouldn’t call it bad either. He’s average, very plainly average. Then he got a lobotomy and became Izuru, and suddenly something has changed. Izuru DOES have good luck, and he has an intense amount of control over his luck that he can even can beat Komaeda in a gun fight. Which means not only is Luck a real talent despite how Komaeda bemoans, it has some way to quantifiably measure and implant it as his Luck talent is just as artificial as the rest of his talents. Luck isn’t just chance or fate, it’s a legitimate part of someones body that can be implanted into someone else with the right tools. Which is, SO MUCH TO UNPACK.
We don’t learn HOW they implanted luck, so we can only guess where luck resides within a human body. Wherever it is though, this implies while people are indeed born with a specific luck pattern that is otherwise immutable this pattern can be tampered and changed by an outside source with the right know how. Celeste is essentially correct in the fact humans are born programmed with the luck they have, but we lack the specifics. I am pointing a gun at the hope cultivation program if you’re going to break the geneva convention at least LET ME KNOW how you implanted fucking LUCK!
Luck is beyond just how we view luck in our world, luck is an inherent part of them, I’d dare to even call it another sense. Like a sense of sight or sense of direction, everyone has a sense of luck. Some don’t have much of it, some of them have little, and some of them have enough of it that it almost seems like a magical power.
Of course now that we have a loose understanding of how luck just works in this setting, this tells us little on how luck works for those two specifically.
Makoto’s luck is known to be the most confusing even in universe, as his luck is a liar. Bad luck often is good luck often is bad luck. It is impossible to tell if something is good or bad when it comes to his luck until like three years later after all the dominoes and butterfly effects have mostly settled. Celeste says there is no in-betweens but Makoto’s luck LOVES its grey areas. Making things be both bad and good at the same time, Makoto’s luck cannot be divided into good or bad because it’s always both at the same damn time. The only think about his luck that’s in any way clear is that it refuses to let him die. No matter how bad his luck seems, the moment he could genuinely die, his luck swoops in to grab him from the brink.
Like yeah he lived thats good but now he has trauma and thats bad and now he can help and thats good but that helping is also being used as propaganda and that’s bad. Makoto lives in a state of greys, his luck refuses the black and white views of Celeste or Komaeda, everything his luck does will be both bad and good, creating mostly just confusion. It’s easy to see how Makoto just kinda shrugs it off as just unfortunate and moves on with his life, his luck keeps trying to be good and bad at the same time.
Then there’s Komaeda, who has only bad luck. Which you may be saying “what? But his luck can be good!” and I ask you how good his luck really is? His luck constantly kills the people around him and even killed him. Sure sometimes he gets paltry rewards like money or freedom, but in reality, the scales are NOT balanced. An inheritance can’t make up for dead parents, winning the lottery  doesn’t erase the trauma of being kidnapped.
Even moments where his luck seems to work in his favor only makes him miserable, winning russian roulette wasn’t a triumph or good luck for him really, it only drove him insane.
If I had to name Komaeda’s luck I’d go for something like short term benefits with long term consequences. The bad effects of his luck always echo farther and go on for longer then the good effects which are often quick distractions or quick victories. However Komaeda lets himself settle for this, pretending like the scales actually have any meaning, letting himself have bad luck and thinking the small rewards of it measures up to the sheer amount of bad luck it took.
Komaeda’s luck can give him the things he needs in the moment, but there is always consequences for it’s use. Komaeda pretends like it's an equivalent exchange, but actually looking at, even the 'good' parts often brings him suffering. Like yeah he's rich and has freedom, but he's lonely and unable to connect to people. Even the best parts of his luck are only good short term before also becoming more akin to bad luck.
His luck is basically a deal with the devil, he receives pain and suffering, and he receives... a whole bunch of sodas! Just ignore the fact the scars will last longer then the soda and you can pretend it all balanced out.
It’s easy to see how he fell into the viewpoints he did when he basically has to lie to himself to make his luck more tolerable or seem fair. Especially because unlike Makoto's, his luck seems perfectly willing to kill him if he's not careful.
Of course these are only my current views on their luck cycles, my mind and thoughts are CONSTANTLY changing on this, because it’s just, so nebulous. One of these days I’d love to do a luck deep dive on all the characters and see what other talents are secretly luck talents.

all about shino!!!!!
below is shino's background and role in the killing game >:)
SO BASICALLY on the the lucky student spectrum we've got makoto whos got rly good luck, nagito whos got rly good luck and rly bad luck, and then shino who's just got rly bad luck
background
shino's a very accident-prone person. in their early life, they were an adventurous kid. however, they were inflicted with many injuries nearly every time they left the house. because of this, they started to fear the world. as they got older, they became more reserved, unwilling to go outside or talk to other people.
unfortunately, shino's bad luck only followed them as unlucky things would start happening at home. like a large tree falling on the house destroying their bedroom, the entire house being flooded, blackouts occurring for days, and the list goes on.
until finally, a fire breaks out the engulfs the entire house and claims the life of shino's parents. (this fire is the reason that shino has scars all over their body)
time passes blah blah shino goes to an orphanage, bad things continue to happen, until one fateful day, shino recives a letter from a certain school (hopes peak)
at hopes peak
around school, their bad luck is notorious and their classmates lovingly dub shino the ultimate unlucky student (much to shino's annoyance)
shino doesn't really have any close relations within their class. save for one student who often goes out of their way to include them and be kind to them. and that person is lucy mitchel. shino of course is outwardly very irritated with lucy and her gifts and check ins and jokes, however maybe there's a part of them who likes the idea of having someone they can call a friend
not that that matters in the killing game, however. considering shino along with everyone else lost their school memories along with all their relations.
killing game
speaking of the killing game, shino is a killer. in the second chapter (chapt name pending im trying to think of a good name), shino drowns lucy mitchel in the school fountain.
NOW the resoning behind this killing can be traced back to the motive of chapt 2, "if a killing doesnt occur within 48 hours, a student will be chosen at random to be executed." as u can imagine this motive was particularly concerning for shino to hear.
shino firmly believes that if a killing doesnt happen, they'll definitely be chosen to die. this drives them a little bonkers. lucy notices shino's inner turmoil and has a talk with them at the fountain and well.. u know how that turns out.
(its also worth noting that evidence shows that lucy put up no kind of struggle and may have given up her life in hopes to help shino survive but its up for interpretation hhhh)
execution
SO OKAY shino's execution is a good ol game of russian roulette. with multiple guns
a multitude of guns are each loaded with a single bullet and and the cylinders are spun. the guns are pointed at different areas of shinos body, for instance, theres one pointing at their, foot, calf, shoulder, thigh, etc. while their tied up in a chair.
theres a very long pause when suddenly the guns go off one after the other, each and every one of them go off without exception.
unfortunately these bullet shots are not fatal and shino is still faintly conscious, bleeding profusely. they watch as one final gun is loaded with a bullet and pointed directly at their forehead. the trigger is pulled aaaaand
the gun jams
suddenly the guns all lower and the lights dim and shino is left to bleed out slowly and painfully
and thats unfortunately the end of shino tokuma (unless i can figure out a way to bring everyone back to life like sdr2 did but prob not)
