SHERIFFS

Meictir's law and order relies on the presence of large sheriff teams that congregate in the cores of all 6 provinces. In those teams, there are a head and deputy sheriff selected who travel throughout the continent and do more serious work than the regulars who would deal with occasional outlaws. Amongst these lead sheriffs is Junior, the 'head honcho' of the protective force and general face of Meictir.

COSTAIS

The heart of Meictir. Contains Coparplat, the densely populated capital. Costais advertises prosperity and safety to those looking to move. While many citizens are delegated to living in unsafe shantytowns, the sheriff team of Costais is unmatched, and is helmed by none other than Junior - Meictir’s poster girl.

UISCEATH

Home to a large portion of Meictir's Meinmhi population. Uisceath, while neglected by the government, has been making notable strides in advancements for Meictir's water access - something that has always been a weakness for them. Uisceath is home to the dynamic duo of Scout and Darling - two very eccentric sheriffs.

EACHALAMH

Neighbouring Equus, Eachalamh has a notable Equin presence and is a mixing pot of Meican and Equin culture. It's biggest city, Capeas, is one of the only places in Meictir that has a majority Equin population. The culture is reflected in it's sheriffs, who may (to a maybe offensive degree) represent the people in their own ways.

TIRAOSC

The core of Meictir's minute agriculture industry, it engages in a lot of trade between neighbouring countries and provinces. It's the only source of food for non-Meicans living in Meictir, so it's law enforcement is very strict. It's for this reason that it's sheriff team are very specialised in what they do, instead of the jack of all trades approach commonly seen elsewhere.

TURBH

Meictir's industry core is heavily polluted to the point where non-Meicans are considered to be at threat if they spend prolonged amounts of time close to the economic center of the province. It's very technologically advanced compared to the rest of the country, and its existence is a point of contention between environmental activists.

FHATHSEAMH

Due to it's status as the home to a large majority of the Meicfian population, it's most well known for its annual market that sets up following the nomadic Meicfian families that make up a large amount of the ethnic group returning to the mountainous region. It's sheriffs are a very unconventional duo, but are arguably one of Meictir's most deadly.

Ah, my glamorous life. Someone so important as I has too many important things to write about, so I will not waste that much of my precious time on you, diary. But, since you beg so pathetically, I will tell you of my day so far, which will surely be fascinating enough.

Of course, I woke up, very cute and suave-like, since obviously only slobs would wake up in a slobbish way like I did not do. The sun bowed to me, very bright and shiny. Something like what my father likes to say, "the future is bright." I concur, my future is very bright. Speaking of which, today, I met the summons of my very important father, the President of the Malsh Republic. He then gave me this stupid book, and then he told me he has something to discuss with me later. This does not interest me very much, because he is below me in intellect, so whatever he wants to talk about probably is boring. And then I umm.... Whatever. Important stuff, probably.

Introduction to Donat - abridged history

The REPUBLIC OF DONAT (Donatese: Република Донат / Republika Donat) is a constituent country of the State Union. It lays on the peninsula of Donat and its neighboring isles in Ripiero. Donat borders the Rutherish Commonwealth to its southwest and the Mercantile Republics of Kruhasta to its southeast. Donat has a population of around 68 million, with the city of RADOGOST being its largest and capital city. It is divided into 14 administrative divisions: 11 populates and 3 constitutional territories.

Throughout its history, Donat has consisted of many independent realms with a shared cultural and linguistic identity, though never politically unified. The people of Donat - the Donatians - departed from Kanita and settled Ripiero through the 11th and 12th centuries, establishing chiefdoms directly correspondent to their families. These chiefdoms would further consolidate into realms ruled by dynasties, which would come to form the first kingdoms of Donat. These kingdoms are, partially, the basis of Donat's modern populates.

Donat would find itself under Rutherish occupation in the 17th century, but would finally break free during the Crimson Revolution of 1956. Initially starting as small communal protests, the uprisings that formed the Crimson Revolution would take on an armed spirit and would force the Rutherish out of the land for good, aside from the region of West Pokoska, which remains in Rutherish hands to this day.

An independent government would be formed by a man called Lazar Karaslav - the most prominent figurehead of the revolution. This would mark the beginning of a state known as the Union of Socialist Donatian Republics, or the USDR for short. Although defined as republican and popular, the USDR was highly dictatorial and allowed for little naysaying. The autonomy of each Socialist Donatese Republic was very limited, and democratic elections were not present in the state. Despite this, the USDR's policies of industry nationalization was very economically beneficial to Donat, seeing as all factories were in control of Rutherish businessmen before the revolution.

Donat's later modern history would be a period of turbulence and frequent change of regimes. After Karaslav's death, the country was reorganized into the United Syndicates of Donat and began progressing towards the path of democracy. In 1990, Donat formed a union called Slavia with the country of Illjika. During this time period, the union was more of a loose confederation than a proper state. Things would change in 2025 with the Blackshirt Revolution, which would transform Slavia into a one-party totalitarian dictatorship under the rule of Sonya Kremenobor, hailing from the city of Karlov in Donat. This type of governance would last a mere 5 years, but would forever transform the economic landscape of the two countries.

With the fall of the Blackshirt regime, Slavia was reorganized as a stable confederation whose constituents were politically equal. The Confederation of Slavia, which lasted until 2049, was a representative democracy with a centralized military, but under no single leader. The country of Hrozava would join the confederation in 2033 and would vote to leave it in 2049, which gave way to the abolishing of the confederation. In its place, a new state was - finally - erected once more, the State Union of Donat & Illjika.

Today, Donat remains to be a constituent state inside the State Union. It is a modern and developed country with a functional but frequently unstable democracy. From constitutional crises to weird critters in your garden, Donat remains to be the bastion of modernity and industrial progress in Ripiero.

Rada’s New Bills

The Hrozavan Rada has passed new legislation, with Kovalyka’s blessing, to restrict new and reuse nuclear warheads for the many nuclear power stations in Hrozava, as well as new maintenance on the protection of Hrozava’s borders. The nuclear bill comes after the depressing news of the nuclear devesitation of both Korlan and Vau’sena. Hrozava is preparing to send aid to support the innocent victims of this attack.

Finally, Rada voted unianimously to allow the ascendion of the Pokrzola Isles as a new Krayi. The artipelago, located far north of the Lestovian isles, has been home to a distant tribe of Hrozavans, and has been a part of Hrozava, as a special territory, for many years. The ascendion will allow the territory to be closer with the rest of the Krayis.

After spending some months in negotiation and planning, we at the Consulate are proud to announce the first in a series of helpful interventional measures in the Dracean region: the Trans-Canal Provisional Ward!

Long has it been a concern among the people of Begroun that political instabilities in our neighboring country may metastasize into domestic unrest. Indeed, given the current power vacuum in the area following the frequent regime changes of the past few years, the Consulate have determined that it would be irresponsible of us to stand idly by and allow the situation in the area to degenerate further. As a result, we have exercised eminent-domain privileges to redraw treaty boundaries and establish a forward region of Begrouni influence across the canal, to provide support and stability to our neighbors. We will be establishing martial law in the area until we have a more complete understanding of the measures required to return to a state of peace, at which point we plan to implement mutual resettlement and infrastructural redevelopment programs to ensure Dracea can build itself a strong foundation for the future.

MEICAN DIVISIONS

"Duineic" (Bipedal Meicans)

Located around the capital, Duineic are the most common and usually most affluent Meicans.

While there are no shortage of Duineic living in poverty, a decent proportion of them live comfortably at minimum. Majority of the region's architecture is designed with them in mind, leaving Meinmhi (Quadruped Meicans) and Meicfian (Larger Meicans) ostracized from the capital.

A large amount of Meinmhi live around the center of Meictir, though there is a great number of them scattered throughout the country. They make up most of the population of Airgnoc, one of Meictir's most densely populated cities.

A large percentage of Meinmhi live in poverty, with some turning to outlaw gangs or a life of travel to get by. Airgnoc is the only main city in Meictir that is designed more for their proportions rather than the Duineic.

"Meicfian" (Large Meicans)

The Meicfian, due to their large size, have taken to a life of constant travel to get by. In the past, they tried to settle in towns alongside the Duineic and Meinmhi, but the neglect faced from the government caused them to take up temporary camps instead.

The Northern Camp is the most popular amongst the Meicfian, and they stay there for around 2-3 months each year. While most Meicfian travel, some have decided to take up permanent residence in the Northern Camp, as well as all throughout Meictir.

Hokotae in Stalemate- Korlan Fails to Encircle Hēre in Fourth Month of Invasion

[Federal Kingdom of Vau’sena, Kuwhara, Rangat- 17 November 2053

     The war in the Kuata Strait opened quickly- the robust Korlanic Navy wasted no time surrounding, besieging, and bombarding the islands of Hokoihoko and Hokotae off of the coast of Ramisola, Vau’sena’s largest island and home to over 74 million people in the constituencies of Kuwhara and Volios. After capturing Hokoihoko in only four days of conflict, Korlanic forces looked to make quick work of the Kuwharan province of Hokotae to complete its conquest of the Korlanic Isles before advancing into the heart of Kuwharan society on Ramisola. 

     Uniting the various ethnically Korlanic populations of Ailou has been a long-standing goal of Korlanic Rangatira Ikaroa Storinka, with Kuwhara’s status as a democratic and patriotic constituency of the Federal Kingdom of Vau’sena resting as a particular thorn in Storinka’s side. From its broad ethnic and linguistic diversity to its democratic leadership centered in the Ripieran constituency of Cosona, the very existence of the Vau’senaan state flies in the face of Storinka’s Ilfiatist ideology of control and uniformity. The ideological struggle simmering across the Kuata Strait came to a boil in late June, culminating in the ongoing battle on the Island of Hokotae.

      The Battle of Hokotae, however, has proved to be far from the decisive victory that Korlan experienced on the island of Hokoihoko. Zones of control remain static as the battle drags into its 134th day, a fact held as a point of pride by Vau’senaan defenders initially caught encircled flat-footed by the sudden blockade. The beginning of the Korlanic attack employed brutal tactics to bring the island to its knees- a campaign of etymological warfare that employed swarms of locusts to destroy crops and block out targeting systems on the island, the deployment of chemical weapons into population centers, and the assassination of leading logistics directors which sent the island into famine and allowed Korlanic landing parties to make footholds on the south of the island. 

     The Korlanic blockade was first broken on the 21st day of the battle, however, through the use of new implosion-type precision ordinances by the Royal Vau’senaan Air Force. While the specifics of this new Vau’senaan weapon have remained highly classified, observers have described the missile’s implosive force as sufficient to rip a third of a battleship away in under 30 seconds, blasting away surrounding seawater and slowly falling into the air pocket left behind until losing power about 45 seconds after impact, leaving the battered ship to be crushed by the force of returning seawater. Each of the three times the new weapon has been deployed in significant numbers onto the battlefield it has seen crushing success, breaking blockades on the 21st, 77th, and 115th days of the battle, each time allowing between 6 and 18 days for Vau’senaan forces to bring in supplies, transport casualties and civilians to Ramisola, and even permitting the damaged aircraft carrier CMV Kiti Firine'a to be evacuated to Cosona for repairs. The Vau’senaan access to Hokotae, however punctuated by returning Korlanic ships, has proved crucial in repelling the Korlanic Army from the regional capital and largest city Hēre, which has come near to being encircled on numerous occasions.

     The Battle of Hokotae has come at a heavy cost to attacking Korlanic forces. According to a statement given by the Dive’ira’Ministerie Vau’senaan (Vau’senaan Ministry of Defense), Defense Minister Liyet Ts’iyniyn estimates Korlanic casualties on the island to have reached 125,000 since the beginning of the invasion, putting Korlanic casualties suffered on the ground at a higher figure than those sustained in the 28 July nuclear strike which wiped out an estimated 100,000 embarked forces in deep water in the middle of the Kuata Strait. The Vau’senaan defense of Ponder has seen its own successes, succeeding in deterring an invasion at all from being launched from the Korlanic-occupied Hegiite province. However, the unfolding Korlanic invasion of Pylerick threatens to expose the Vau’senaan mainland to danger from Korlanic weaponry.
