i keep seeing pro vivziepop videos on yt ranting about the growing hate for hazbin, ppl claiming they're trying to knock her down just because they dont like her show right before it comes out??? how are her supporters that stupid. we've been calling her out on her actions for years. no one's been listening until now and there's dumbass discussion channels talking about "drama" with her. pretty sure drawing a n*zi sausage party oc, making stereotype characters, sexualizing gay relationships, horrible representation of said characters, amongst MANY other things isnt "drama". none of the stuff she's done in the past has been addressed properly, and she cant even handle criticism. why can't her fans stop being blind?

I don't understand how Vivziepop still has a fanbase anymore that unironically still supports her after all the scenarios of controversy where she brushes it off as petty internet drama from "petty envious antis" atleast before she runs off into her crowd of chronically online and discourse obsessed problematic adults on any social media platform(Mostly Twitter to be specific but still)who are just a group of yes-men for her to use to attack not even only children on the interwebs who just happen to be uncomfortable with the fandom she's cultivated over her career of a wannabe artist and animator, but other adults too who by the way are somewhat consisting of survivors of abuse, rape, are LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodivergent/disabled and possibly more. It honestly makes me sad as it does angry because the concept of the show isn't that crazily impossible in my opinion atleast and it could of had so much potential to do way better if not only the obvious subject matters were treated with much more care in an attempt to rework the scripts but also if Viv didn't do half of the stuff she did just a bad person in general. Like...is that really the best you can do for your fanbase???You cannot be not-joking atleast a little bit when you're telling me that apparently not only are children not being stopped from engaging with an 18+ rated show(even though the amount of vulgar language is done so poorly that it could pass of as your average failed Newgrounds animation), but that they're literally being encouraged to interact with the fandom???Are you out of your mind???Don't even get me started on the other stuff that you all probably already know about such as the blatant mockery of S.A., abusive relationship dynamics, hypersexuality in victims of said scenarios that happen irl, having other such "jokes" including some sort of rapey scene at all and having someone who actively and openly supports "non-con" fiction???!!!! What is wrong with you people??And apparently I have to share the home of the beautiful planet Earth with these idiots choosing to have the cognitive dissonance and brain function of an almost-empty and dusty old peanut...Along with the fact that the woman herself treats her animators at Spindlehorse Productions(her studio I suppose)like utter dog-dung, she has proven to drag anyone who defies her problematic and dare I say dangerous behavior through the mud and gets away with it all because of her stans/fans making her the "face of independent animation/indie animators". I honestly feel so awful for those who may have genuinely looked up to her at one point, atleast not knowing how much of a horrible person she was behind the scenes of the computer screen but its whatever anyways I guess. If any aspiring makers of cartoons or comics(LGBTQIA+/BIPOC/Disabled preferred) would like to promote the stuff they male down below in my comments section than feel free☆. It's the least anyone can do under the storm that's being made and has happened for such a long time ughh. The project should have been attempted a little more to be prevented from the confines of those echo-chambery and gross parts of fandom-centric social media communities and It's so discouraging how long this has been going on too, but hey. She's the lady that unironically made a literal pedo character that she attempted to present as a villain while just having the original character end up as a sort of "cool af bad-girl aesthetic uwu" character. Oh my fucking God please stop at once I swear to the highest Heavens and the deepest, most darkest depths of Hell(Ironic).

Well, I guess there is one good thing about that horrible scene (somehow).

At least now people on Twitter are recommending other series which handle the topic in question with much more respect and dignity.

Going to be checking these out, when I'm finally done with my exams, and I urge y'all to do the same. There are many wonderful and actually mature shows that are worth your time (and money) far more, than Viv's problematic demon fanfics.

Edit: oookay, turns out that the ATHF and DT posts might have been a satire of the Tuca and Bertie post. From what I found about the first two during a quick google search, they are quite raunchy and thread a dangerous line between being an acceptable satire and really offensive.

However, if you are into black and absurd comedy and caricatures, they could be shows for you, since, from what I've seen, they thread the line between being funny and deep much better than HB. Proceed with caution though, because both of the shows potray many more uncomfortable topics, aside from SA.

However, Tuca and Bertie allegedly discusses SA without any graphic scenes, so once again, check that show out.

Edit 2: another good show that potrays SA much more tastefully and also very realistically is Moral Orel. If you use Twitter, you might have seen the clip of the character, who is a SA survivor being triggered by a teddy bear falling on top of her. That clip alone made me cry, from how heartbreaking it was, so give Moral Orel a shot too.

helluva boss redesigns. i made these a year ago so i cant completely remember my thought process on them, what i Do remember is my ideas for them

blitzo: (currently not renamed) grew up in the circus and still looks back on it fondly, hence his clothing. hes been not only declawed, but the light markings on his fur and horns indicate severe injury. hes not aggressive but he is very fidgety and overexcited, and does not think ahead, which always worries his coworkers. hes also very quick to try finding the "positives" in every scenario, and refuses to accept the downsides. the stress of being a tiny little imp trying to make a living through his assassin job is getting to him. he loves his big wolf daughter also. he loves her a lot. shes pretty much all he has

loona: The Wolf Daughter. renamed Ariel, shes a hellhound with albinism and was adopted by an imp, who arent so respected in hell due to their status and size. asides from her insecurities with not fitting in anywhere, and her teen angst behavior, she is successful in finding few friends and forming an indie rock band titled "Discord". yes she plays the bass. ariel cant say shes not grateful for everything her dad gives her and respects his commitment to his job, but she is a little embarrassed by him. she feels bad that shes ashamed of him, honestly

millie: renamed mimi for now. your average country girl imp. she plays a mean banjo. shes the heart of the I.M.P team and tries to keep everyone in good spirits. shes not above doing dirty work to get by, so being an assassin is more or less her true calling. it was better than her job in the mafia anyways. after meeting her husband, she began to realize she has extreme difficulty showing love in ways other than through service acts, as shes usually closed off emotionally. growing up in a big family, she wasnt given enough attention to really understand love. shes very grounded and a quick thinker, especially in tense situations

moxxie: (also not renamed yet) the actual realist of the team, aka nerd, and the strategist/planner/financial advisor/etc. his dad is a mafia boss, so although he left him many years ago, he also learned a lot from him. and also became extremely anxious and a huge perfectionist over executing any plans. but i mean, who wouldnt still be scared shitless over just about everything due to growing up like that, especially over their dad whos still actively looking for them anyways, even though their mom has tried keeping them from him multiple times until she disappeared, and he eloped with another previous member of the mafia, so now Shes in danger too, etc etc

(moxxie best character so he didnt get any severe changes btw)

question.. is there such a thing as gaining a therotype from a character? because im telling you, Alastor(Hazbin Hotel) unlocked SOMETHING in me. Back in 2021(before I realized I was a therian) when Hazbin became a special interest, I suddenly felt a LOT more connected to deers. I even made a deer tail, and thinking back, the joy I had pretending it was real and the disappointment of knowing it wasn't was the most therian thing ever. is there a word for this that I don't know? (still kinda learning and exploring the therian community and my identity as one, idk if this is a common thing)

my own attempt at “redesigning” some hazbin characters

(extra notes: i decided that everyone wears red for the most part because that’s the uniform color for the hotel. that’s part of why i didn’t change certain things like husk’s or vaggie’s clothing colors. - i’m 17 with the only character design knowledge being my own personal ocs, so of course, take my criticisms with a grain of salt! - everything is a bit poorly edited in terms of recoloring because i did this on ibispaint for fun.)

here are all the (re)designs together. under the cut is more info about my thought process and side by sides.

1. Husk

- The only things I changed were his pupils, the colors, and his tail tip stripes.

- I used his pilot colors because I realized they have a much warmer feel to them instead of the final design which made him look all greyed out and dead. Good for an old man, I suppose, but not good for when the inner wing is colored almost the same way as his fur, his pants, etc. Having these colors so dead makes him blend into himself too well, but changing the inner wings did a lot, I think.

- Gave him heavier lines under his eyes like eye bags, to replace the heavy fading eye bags that were in his pilot design.

- Got rid of the hearts next to his eyebrows. It felt like a bit much.

- In terms of his actual design other than the colors, I’m not mad about it! I actually adore the new pants and such. It was just the colors I had an issue with.

2. Angel Dust

- God, he’s so ugly to me.

- He looks a lot like his pilot design, but for good reason. I realized that the pilot design also had more warm colors and not bright neon pink, so I used those colors instead. I really just.. changed all the colors.

- I hate his fucking gloves. I hate them a lot. So I replaced them with his usual short gloves, but gave them back the little white tips in the show design just to be fair. I have no idea why they decided to make the lower pair of gloves white, as it just looks like they aren’t wearing any gloves at all, alongside them having no pattern like the top gloves. It’s the weirdest design choice in the entirety of this design, to me.

- I made his extra eyes actually look like extra eyes instead of teeny tiny dots.

- Gave him his tit fluff back. Like, why’d they get rid of that? It’s apart of him, bro…

- Gave him pupils, cause he looks better with them than without them. I even gave him two different ones, just for fun!

3. Vaggie

- Like Husk, I don’t actually hate Vaggie’s design. It’s the only one I have zero complaints about, actually. But I decided to mix in some of her pilot colors and traits to give her some sort of soft look, to mix in the loving girlfriend Charlie knows but also the ex-exorcist that she still is.

- I recolored her stockings, her choker, her (arm things?), and made her bow rounder, to try and tie in the idea that she’s wearing a uniform but also still wearing these softer things to be more comfortable. Again, just attempting to make her look less aggressive.

- Gave her an eyepatch so the X over her eye would make a bit more sense, design wise. Because we don’t see any form of scarring under there, I don’t think? I could be wrong. Would also explain how everyone else notices the X.

- I don’t know what the light pink middle was about, so I changed it to black.

- Recolored her sleeve frills to be white and gave her the same white frills on the bottom of her skirt. Honestly, I just thought it looked nicer.

so I've been watching hazbin hotel on websites other than prime.

my toxic "friend" watched the scene where sir pentious gets dragged away and s/a'd.

i ask her what she thinks about the episode so far and she says something along the lines of "hahaha i feel bad for sir pentious, he fucked up when he said he'd have sex with everyone!" and i just sit there wanting to tell her off but she doesn't know how much viv is a horrible person and i dont want to cause any conflict right now because im already in a horrible mental state.

but... what i wanted to say was even if he said that, he immediately was being dragged away, CRAWLING ON THE FLOOR SCREAMING. even if he was actually willing to, 1. he was intoxicated. 2. consent can be revoked at any time and his body language SHOWED that he didnt actually want to do it.

this is the same friend that shipped radiodust until i told her alastor was aroace, said "i can fix that" when i told her angel dust was gay and didnt like women (she meant she'd turn into a boy apparently but that was still really weird), constantly misgenders me and blames it on her "stupid brain", and is more upset at the fact that she can't buy cheap shit at hobby lobby anymore than knowing that they DONATE TO CHURCHES THAT SUPPORT CONVERSION THERAPY. that's not even all.

before you say anything, the only reason i haven't dropped her is because i actually wanted to give her a second chance. and i dont know how to drop her because i want to prove a point to her that she can't just blame her actions on her brain or her adhd. i have adhd and i at least know critical thinking skills.

but yeah on the topic of hazbin, im only watching it to please my younger self but i also love some the character designs and very few of the characters. i like looking at other peoples analysis and criticisms of this show on here. this mostly turned into a rant about someone but i wanted to rant about hazbin as well. i hate how sa is taken seriously in one episode and then played for laughs in the next.

also if i say something wrong or got something wrong please tell me gently
