Octavia and Verosika did NOTHING wrong. Octavia has the right to not like her dad who ignored and neglected her in order for his one-sided affair. Verosika has the right to hate Blitzo (to quote my queen Veroska) maxed out her credit card on shitty horse riding lessons and left her to pay for the hotel. Octavia got called a COCK BLOCKING SLUT by one of the CREATORS OF HELLUVA BOSS! And Verosika constantly gets called a bitch, slut, or whore. I love Octavia and Verosika, they have done no wrong and I am taking them from Vivziepop.

Also Verosika looks so good in the outfits the Helluva Boss team puts her in and I’m supposed to hate her? No fuck that I love her so much and she has probably one of the best or the best design out of all the Helluva Boss characters.

Octavia also deserves a better dad. She’s also got an actually pretty cool design, she’s just a little silly who has also has a great voice actor!

Also baby Octavia! She’s so cute :). I love her so much and she deserves so much more than Stolas. AND THEN SHE GETS CALLED A COCK BLOCKING SLUT. SHE’S FUCKING 17. Overall I love them, Octavia is just a little silly and Verosika is my queen.

So, I'm looking at the trailer and hear Stolas say something like this . . .

"This transaction between us . . . i-it's not right anymore. I just want someone to care for."

I'm gonna assume he's talking about the exchange of the grimoire for sex with Blitzo. The deal that HE made in the first place????

Okay, first off- What do you mean, it's not right anymore?? NOT ONCE has it EVER been right! Making someone satisfy your pleasures in exchange for giving them something that's impossible to have and you never intended on giving them in the first place unless it benefits you somehow. That is called EXPLOITATION! Children . . . exploiting someone is NEVER a good thing! No matter how badly you want something to happen, it's never good to make someone do something against their will, and Stolas NEVER considered this! And even if he did, I doubt he would've cared!

Why is he suddenly caring now?

Because this is just another way for Viv to throw another Stolas pity party and she needs some kind of tension between Stolas and Blitzo so that their relationship can feel earned later. I think I have a pretty good feeling on what they're gonna make season two about.

This is gonna turn back into the "Stolitzo show" where we focus on the supposed "romance" between Stolas and Blitzo. How are they gonna go about it? Well, I think what's gonna go down is, instead of Stolas being in the wrong for how he treats Blitzo, they're gonna make the latter the bad guy for how he "treats" Stolas. Because blah blah blah, Blitzo doesn't love Stolas back, blah blah he's not considerate of Stolas's feelings for him, blah blah he's being mean, blah blah, he needs to give Stolas a chance. And at the end of the day, Blitzo is gonna feel all sorry and realize he loves Stolas, he apologizes to Stolas, the two are endgame and they live happily ever after! I'm calling it right now! With the way Stolas said what he said above, he's gonna make it seem like he's trying to reason with Blitzo saying the deal for the book is a bad idea as if HE wasn't the one that called Blitzo that one night and made that deal.

Do Viv or the writers ever THINK before writing these down??

Edit (4/29/24) It makes no sense for Stolas to suddenly feel regret for this exchange as well as his feelings for Blitzo because of it. In season 1 he went from "Oh Blitzy! You're so hot! Let's have sex!" to "I'm actually genuinely in love with you Blitzo. Let's not do this anymore. I want to take this seriously." Out of nowhere.

Like-- In episode 6, he was lustful for Blitzo and made out with him by the end of the ep, and then suddenly the next episode, he's feeling all lonely and is innocently having feelings for Blitzo. WHERE DID ALL THAT COME FROM?? There was no ounce of development within those episodes!

The Stolitz duet is funny to me cause how many times is Stolas going to go through the same damn arc of realizing that Blitz doesn’t love him the way he does. First it was the Circus where he was looking at the Instagram photos and sang sadly about how what they had was a lie, then it was in Western Energy where he was reading Blitz’s emotionally closed off texts. In Oops we also see him take full action for the crystal.

Now in the Stolitz duet preview he’s still singing lovey dovey like a princess about how much he can’t wait to see Blitz and even makes him pancakes ect, like putting aside all the retconning and the bullshit Blitz victim blaming, how many times is he going to re enter this state of denial. And then the HB trailer shows him potentially (and finally) realizing Blitz doesn’t like him back so he bashes him for having “no remorse” and even sings a diss track with Verosika about it. And yet in the leaked animatic finale scene, we see Octavia say that he chose Blitz, even Stolas smiling at Blitz after the supposed fight scene, so we already know that whatever “will they won’t they” bullshit rift they have mid season, in the end it won’t go anywhere, just like every other dropped plot point in this show. It’s just for drama and it really makes you realize that Stolas’s entire character exists to be paired with Blitz. His relationship with his wife or his daughter doesn’t matter, isn’t the main focus UNLESS it ties to Blitz. His purpose is to be with Blitz and that’s it, no matter what other character Viv teases will come to take Stolas away from Blitz.

Honestly, Stolas talking about Blitzo being his one true friend is stupid, dude, he spent one day with you, he didn't even want to in the first place, his dad just guilt-tripped him into it, and all he did was steal from you (Not putting the blame on Blitzo for this, his dad manipulated him into it but still) and now you are acting like you two were childhood friends for years, it's stupid, Blitzo didn't even remember you.

Was having a conversation with a friend about how Badly Helluva boss effed up its Premise.

Only having 5/15 (or 8/16 if you include the pilot and the episode s i marked as "kinda") as actually being what the show was supposed to be... IMP, a group of hitmen assassin demons going to the human realm to kill humans.

If a THIRD up to a HALF of your episodes (especially the "big" and "impressive" eps DON'T EVEN BELONG IN THE SHOW, that shows a MASSIVE writing and world building issue in your story.)

i remember being so exited for Helluva due to the pilot. I myself am A MASSIVE geek for action comedy episodic cartoons. One that has a twinge of violence and swearing and somewhat offensive humour? Are you kidding!?? That sounds great! And i loved the series while it was JUST that. I loved it when it was what it PROMISED. Until it decided to become a stolas romance drama tragedy sob story, gay man noncon fetishy melodrama that had NOTHING to do with... I.MP.?? like. One episode from the 5 is from season 2. ONE. Almost every episode is more interested in shipping material THAN ACTUALLY HAVING A COOL SHOW ABOUT ASSASSINS. i feel scammed, for caring about this stupid show. And these characters. And god awful world building. Cause what we were given is not what they had offered.

Had we wanted a shipping material melodrama (which i know a lot do love) make THAT the pilot. Make THAT season 1. Dont throw the fans that liked what you offered under the bus for catering to the shippers.

I thinks its pathetic, as an artist myself. Changing your visions, characters and world-building with every episode to cater to a group of fans rather than your own vision for a show.

Interesting thing I noticed about Viv's designs for hazbin lately: the male characters all look at least kinda like the animal/object/thing they're supposed to be. They all read as what they are. Angel is a big spider, husk is a cat, pent is a snake, Lucifer is a ringleader (alastor isn't great but he does still have animal features technically like horns and the ears).

But the women are just. Human women but slightly changed. Like Mimzy is supposed to be a chicken, Nifty is supposed to be a bug, Cherry is supposed to be a hedgehog, V is supposed to be a moth, Charlie is supposed to be a doll. And all of them have MAYBE one feature that would even suggest being non human. Cherri and Nifty have one eye but otherwise? Just women. V and Charlie? Vs hair and maybe Charlie's cheeks but nothing else suggests they aren't just human women. And Mimzy is the worst offender by far. That's just a human woman. She's got both eyes, no feathers, no beak, no plume. she's just a flapper. A human woman flapper in a universe where you're supposed to drastically change into some creature or object when you're sent to hell.

And I feel like this is just another example of Viv being sexist. She saves her energy and creativity for her male characters while putting zero effort into the designs of the women.

That certainly is…interesting. I think it does show how Viv puts more time and care into her male characters while the females tend to get the short end of the stick. There have been a lot of criticisms of Viv’s character designs and well, I do think some of them are valid.

Like they all scream “ We’re deviantart OCs made by someone with little experience in character design!”.

The Narrative Is Going To Use Blitzo's Shitty Treatment Of Verosika To Validate Stolas' Entitlement To Him

Ok, I can understand Verosika having resentment because again he did take advantage of her because of his insecurities, but Stolas on the other hand really shouldn't be seen as the victim. And just because Verosika was a victim of Blitzo's insecurities doesn't mean Stolas was. Mostly because Stolas started this on the assumption that Blitzo wanted him due to their once childhood meeting. And from there on out Blitzo had to thread a line of keeping Stolas happy so that he could keep his business up. In other words, Stolas should be the one called out but again the damn bird is validated for feeling entitled to have Blitzo return his feelings. They are making it seem he's once again turning down someone who is seen as good for him because of his tendency to shove people away but no it's because Stolas made him feel belittled and trapped and that was valid. We never saw if it was true with Verosika but we did see that many times with Stolas and he has every reason not to return his feelings, while this show makes it seem selfish that he doesn't. Seriously, even if Stolas wanted to give him the crystal to end the original agreement he's not entitled to be loved and wanted. That has to be earned by someone who shows it and he still doesn't get it.

And again it takes away Verosika's own issues with Stolas to bolster this damn ship. She shouldn't be used as a tool to validate Stolas's crap. They both can be connected, but the issue is that Blitzo needs to confront he treated her badly but with his relationship with Stolas it's another monster in itself. Because it's a two street with the blame that should mostly be on Stolas instead of him.

Also what is Heaven afraid of? Like uh, the Sinners don't seem to have a way to get to Heaven on their own so why do fear an uprising? Even if Sinners wanted to screw over Heaven, how are they going to get there without assistance? Also they'd need a lot of people to even stand a chance and I can't imagine a lot of Sinners stepping up to the late given Heaven probably has a factory of Angel weapons and they'd most certainly use them if the Sinners tried to attack them.

Like even if Lilith is somehow influencing them, what are they gonna do? They can't even leave the Pride Ring, let alone get to Heaven.

Also uh...wouldn't it make more for the Extermination to effect both Sinners and Hellborns because the Hellborns can reproduce so it makes more sense to kill them indiscriminately as with Sinners falling everyday, it'd make the overpopulation plot more important.

Y'know what, now that I think about it, I don't think Blitzo should even have feelings for Stolas.

I mean-- no shit right? There are plenty of reasons to not be romantically involved with Stolas. But you really gotta think about these reasons.

Not only does Stolas have a daughter, but Blitzo also has a daughter. A daughter whom he adores more than anything. Not to say Loona really cares about Blitzo's love life (doesn't seem like she does). That's not what this is about. Just saying that I feel like Blitzo should imagine himself in Stolas's shoes. He has a daughter who, unlike Loona, actually wants his attention, wants to spend time with him, and doesn't want to feel like her dad cares more about anything than her. Knowing Blitzo, he would LOVE that! He would love it if Loona actually felt how Octavia felt. If Loona wanted to spend time with Blitzo, I'm pretty sure Blitzo wouldn't hesitate to drop anything to be with his daughter. So when you think of someone like Stolas, someone who would continuously have relations with some random stranger, neglecting Octavia, ruining his (father/daughter) relationship and dynamic with her??

Why would Blitzo want any sorta of relationship with someone like that, as a father who would never neglect his daughter and couldn't want anything more than spend time with her even when she doesn't want to. Shouldn't Blitzo be disgusted with Stolas? You'd think that at some point in time, Blitzo would be the one to tell him, "Look, I know I'm doing this for my job, but you got a daughter who wants your attention and doesn't want you doing this. I know I would give anything to be with my Loony. So why don't we cut whatever this is and make some sort of other exchange so your daughter doesn't hate you?"

If anything, I think that should be the main reason why Stolas wants to drop the deal himself! The line--

"This transaction between us . . . i-it's not right anymore. I just want someone to care for."

That shouldn't be about Stolas wanting something more than a friends-with-benefits relationship with Blitzo. It should be about him focusing on Octavia and being a FATHER!! You say you want someone to care for, my guy *pushes Octavia in front of him* HERE YA GO!!

I never understand how HH/HB fans get upset and defensive when people say that the shows target audience is for white people/white queers. What did these people expect. Last time I checked the most famous characters/characters upfront are all white coded, and any black character doesn’t even look black. The creator meanwhile talks like a white fake Starbucks mean girl and she is one, along with most of her friends/higher ups who work for her. Her work is geared towards kids and middle aged edge lords who are obsessed with swearing and sex and favor/fetishize yaoi, be so fr. Y’all are the same people who turn racist the minute a black person says they don’t like the show, or when someone says the POC characters are drawn with zero melanin because GOD forbid we ask for a few visible curls or puffs, or god forbid we ask that the color of a black/Hispanic woman not to be grey. Meanwhile this white ass fanbase will turn into Elvis fangirls at a con (with zero POC’s in sight mind you) when they see their favorite white coded rich twink rapist owl character on screen, yet have the nerve to preach to black people about what they THINK classism and slavery is, just to defend dogshit early 2000’s writing like get the fuck outta here.
