Part 1 of Cat!Ford AU

It wasn't supposed to be an AU but discord buds made me think otherwise jshfjdjd looks like Ford is now my late cat (babygirl I love you 🥺 I'll leave you some water tonight)

The AU got many paths, so it's like. No set timeline or canon for it. But there are some hard things set.

It's similar to A Better World, except in this one, Ford goes through his suicide plan. Detonate the portal and him along with it, thus, cutting all contact from Bill. But since Bill is still a threat, Ford reincarnates into a cat and runs into Stan, who's grieving Ford. So he ends up as a therapy pet for him while they both struggle being homeless. (Strays, if you will 🧐)

Also, because I'm mean :3 Ford is very limited in cognition as a cat, due to having a different brain. Some things are still there, but the concepts are nebulous to him. Vague gut feelings, you know. Also, I want him to grow up a bit before running into Stan.

Maybe Stan considers suicide after months of grieving, but hours beforehand, he runs into Ford, half-starved and begging for his attention and food (who instinctively recognizes Stan as safe). Stan takes him in and then suddenly, he has a pet. So now he can't commit suicide, not while he's so attached to this lil kitty (that also, conveniently, has six little paw pads).

Not sure what Stan would name the kitty. I don't think he'll name him Ford, since it's too soon and he's trying to not get attached (good luck with that, bucko). Meh, I'll figure it out :P

May need to tag warn this, but I just had to share. Years ago I've had a beloved pet pass away very similarly, but from old age. The twitching, slowly fading in your arms, the body just giving out. And you've captured that perfectly, along with the juggle of grief and sorrowed anticipation. I don't think I've ever cried over death in a warriors story until now, not even in the main series. Then again youve also done better at getting me more attached to every individual cat haha. Very, very well done!

Wow, that is such a compliment, thank you. I haven't personally experienced the loss of a pet in that way but I'm glad that my work felt cathartic to you. Grief is such an important part of life and has an important place in art and I'm glad you all have chosen to explore it in this space with me ♡

So, several things happened:

I watched Hazbin Hotel and loved it. I especially loved the angel designs.

I wanted to create an angel character/sona.

A good friend looked at one of my angel sketches. I gave the angel stripes on her face, like multiple eye slits. My friend said it looked like budgie stripes.

My beloved pet budgie died on this exact day two years ago. If heaven exists, there is no way my baby boy isn't there.

Nowadays Valentines day is a grief day for me, where I want to think about my baby.

This is how I cope as a pet parent.

our old lady cat (shes around 12 years old) is at the vet right now and i miss her. shes been having a lot of issues with constipation and throwing up (she throws up at least once a day, and a couple days ago she threw up 4-5 times), she also doesnt really eat or drink that much since a new cat has been introduced to the house and they dont like each other, and we think shes losing weight because of it. shes getting surgery either today or tomorrow for an enema, and i know its nothing major and life threatening but i am worried about her. she sits in our room all day and loves us a lot, and our room feels empty without her.

we also got her bloods ordered, just to see if theres any underlying health issues outside of just constipation, and im scared we're gonna have to put her down

i love her so much
